Disclaimer, you know.

Dorothy woke before sunrise the next morning. She was surprised to find Alex asleep in a chair at her bedside. Dorothy summoned the scepter over to her hand and gently poked him in the chest with it. Immediately he jumped and woke up. Dorothy giggled and smiled at him.

"What was that for?" He asked sound a bit annoyed.

"What are you doing here, shouldn't you be with your family?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Yea, but Mom and Annabella could sleep through a train wreck and dad snores like there's no tomorrow." Alex said

Dorothy couldn't help by chuckle at this remark. Mr. Teak then walked into the room his face going from one of worried to one of humor.

"You're mother told me that once, and you always were a light sleeper." He said stretching.

"She must have adjusted to it." Dorothy said.

"Yea probably." Mr. Teak said taking off his glasses and wiping the lenses with his shirt.

"Dad, are mom and Annabella awake?" Alex asked curiously.

"That's what I came to ask you, they weren't in the room when I woke, have you seen them?" Mr. Teak asked worriedly.

"We just got up as well, did you try the chambers?" Alex asked now getting worried.

Mr. Teak shook his head and ran out of the room. Dorothy and Alex both got up and ran after him. When they got to the chambers they were relieved to find Mrs. Teak and Annabella there waiting for them with Locasta and Ellie.

"Why didn't you two wake me up, you gave us quite a fright." Mr. Teak said.

"I told you we should have left a note mommy." Annabella said teasingly.

"It's not even sunrise yet my dear husband, we just didn't want to wake you." Mrs. Teak replied.

"I wouldn't have minded." Mr. Teak replied.

"Okay then, I'll remember that next time, but come on, it's time for us to return home." Mrs. Teak said picking up Annabella.

"Alex, I'll pop home later, to check on my aunt, uncle and cousins." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy I'm not sure that's a safe idea." Ellie said as Locasta waved her wand over the Teaks causing them to vanish.

"Why not, being there is no safer than being here." Dorothy replied.

"True as that is, oh never mind I'm not going to argue with you Dorothy, do whatever you think is best." Ellie said.

"Ellie, I don't think that's best." Locasta said.

"Don't argue Locasta, its Dorothy's decision, it's her family." Ellie said.

"Thank you Ellie, well I'm going back to, oh dear those clouds are just getting more and more menacing." Dorothy said looking out the window as the sun started to rise.

"I know, soon it will cover the land in complete darkness." Locasta said

"That's worrying." Ellie said taking out her wand.

"Ellie be careful with that thing, I haven't even trained you on how to use it yet." Locasta said.

Dorothy smiled and walked out of the chambers as the cousins began to argue, immediately she bumped into Aislynn and scarecrow. Dorothy smiled and bid them good morning before Toto and pockets ran up to her. Toto was carrying the slippers in his mouth. He gently set them down at Dorothy's feet.

"Thanks boy." Dorothy said sliding them on and picking up Toto and pockets.

"Dorothy?" Aislynn asked curiously

"Yes ace?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Why don't we go back to my manor and bring the hot air balloon that's in the shed to Oz?" Aislynn asked.

"What use would it be to me, it's not like I can fly the thing?" Dorothy asked.

"Grandfather showed me how to work the hot air balloon, he took me for a ride in it few times, I think I remember how to work it." Aislynn replied.

"Well let's bring it to Oz, I don't feel safe doing any flying in Kansas." Dorothy said.

"If it's any help I did read up on hot air balloons after the wizard left, he left a lot of books here so I read through them." Scarecrow said.

"Thanks scarecrow, I'll remember that." Dorothy replied.

"You'd better." He said before he walked off.

"We'll go to Kansas at around six, auntie Em will be up feeding the triplets by then I assume." Dorothy said as she, Aislynn, Toto and Pockets made their way to Dorothy's room.

When they arrived there Dorothy set Toto and pockets on the bed. She then walked over to her desk and picked up her drawings. She placed them all away in the drawers. She then looked out the window and watched the clouds grow larger.

Meanwhile in Kansas.

Henry and Em had actually taken the triplets to Mr. Foreman's house for their own protection. Jon was now feeding baby food to Alicia who seemed to be enjoying it.

"Momma?" Came Amber's voice from her little baby carrier which was next to Robert's

"Amber, your momma and poppa will be here to get you guys in a few hours, meanwhile my dears you three are staying with me so someone can take care of you in the event that they are capture." Mr. Foreman said.

"Take care?" Alicia asked curiously.

"I swear you guys take after Dorothy, I should probably stop saying things before I expand your vocabulary to something your mother is going to hate me for." Mr. Foreman said picking up Alicia and putting her in her carrier.

"Dorothy?" Robert asked curiously.

"She's your cousin, after her first words she ended up expanding her vocabulary rather quickly, and you three aren't even a year old yet, wait a minute I'm talking to toddlers, what am I doing?" Mr. Foreman asked himself.

Meanwhile at the gale farmhouse

Em and Henry had been up for about half an hour. Em was ready to go and get the triplets from Mr. Foreman's house. Henry looked out the window and then turned on the little battery powered radio.

"And Meteorologists are currently looking into the phenomenon of the dark purple clouds." Came the voice from the radio.

Henry sighed and switched the radio off.

"The clouds are growing." Henry said sighing.

"I know, do you think we should invite Jon over to stay with us?" Em asked curiously as she looked at the time.

Quarter of six, it was quarter of six. Em sighed and pulled on her jacket.

"If I'm not back in fifteen minutes call Jon and then contact Dorothy." Em said.

"Yes dear." Henry said as Em left the farmhouse.

Meanwhile at the jesters hide out

The jester had been watching the happenings at this point and had taken to creating a list of who he was going to capture next. Little did any of them know was that they weren't the jester's next target. The jester was watching and had decided not to go for Em, henry or Mr. Foreman, not even the Teaks, he had decided to go for either Aislynn or the scarecrow, a rather handsome couple it maybe he could turn them into statues locked in embrace. He just had to get them.

"When though, that's the question, they both need to be together, as well as everyone needs to see it." The jester said to himself placing the tip of his pen on his tongue.

The jester thought about it for a moment and then had idea. He just had to go to Oz later and execute it.

Well Dorothy, you better watch out. Anyways reviewers as for the reviewer jessicathewitch, she seems to have created her own little story in the reviews. Something I find rather amusing but it has nothing to do with my story whatsoever.
