[I do not own Teen Titans or any characters mentioned in this story besides Elijah and Emory. I don't know, I just really really like domestic future AU Jerikyd? Here have some big happy murderous family things.]
Joseph opened his emerald eyes slowly, curling into the warmth behind him as his husband pulled him closer. Stupid alarm clock, stupid friggin' Justice League.
It'd been ten years, and Kyd Wykkyd had married Jericho. They were happy together, happier than they'd ever been.
Jericho eventually quit the titans, only to be offered a place in the Justice League. At first he was skeptical, after all he'd only be dealing with a grown-up Robin as the leader, Batman. After some explaining however, he happily agreed. Instead of being a main member that went out into the public and fought villains, he was more of a spy. He went in secret, spying on mob bosses and true creeps he was happy to put down. The criminals he fought weren't disabled people who didn't have a choice, instead he went after the mob bosses, the rapists, the serial killers who killed purely for sport. He himself still never killed, but he did kick serious ass and usually left the criminals for the cops to find without a trace that he was ever there. He still got the same thrill he had when he was Crowe, and he didn't have to hold back on the people he fought like when he was a Titan. He was also never bossed around as bad as with Robin, his head of command was Martian Manhunter, a real member of the Justice League, not some pissy little boy with daddy issues.
Kyd Wykkyd had finally found a 'job' that made him happy as well. He also worked for the Justice League, but in a different way. After joining with Jericho, he'd met the 'magic' part of the heroes. He was finally able to discover his heritage and true potential like never before, and this time he'd be using it for good. His power of magic had increased by thousands of percent, but his specialty with the Justice League lied not in his physical power, but in his intelligence. Kyd Wykkyd was the one that created most of the league's weapons, he greatly advanced their security systems, and was capable of hacking into almost any database in the world, not to mention he'd created inventions never before seen. He was almost good enough to rival Martian Manhunter himself, though he chose not to for the sake of everyone in the building. Kyd only spent about a quarter of his time in the league's lab though, he spent the rest of it with Jericho, intimidating people for information on Jericho's targets.
While Jericho was pretty damn terrifying mid-fight, when you're a grown man that only reaches five foot two standing up, you're pretty useless getting information from gangsters. Kyd had grown considerably more than Jericho over the years, Jericho still had his lithe womanly figure while Kyd had put on more than a few pounds in muscle. After joining the league, there was an almost immediate rivalry between the bat and the demon. Batman and Kyd would try to outdo each other in everything, combat, intelligence, targets. Because of this, and the fact that Kyd was really no match for the bat, Kyd was forced to build strength. For him it was easy to intimidate information out of people, and his growing number of demonic symbol tattoos made it all the more easier for him.
Joseph Wilson-Knight sat up and stretched, flinching at the cracking of his back before softly combing his fingers through Elliot's hair. Elliot mumbled something incoherent before groggily sitting up and kissing Joseph's forehead. Joseph giggled cutely at the feeling of Elliot's hair tickling his neck when Elliot nuzzled the crook of his neck.
"C'mon, League's not gonna wait for you to wake up kitty." Joseph said softly as he got out of the large bed and started pulling on Elliot's arm. Elliot whined childishly before Joseph rolled his eyes and walked into their closet, deciding to just get ready without him. After some internal debate, Elliot grudgingly followed, wanting badly to drag Joseph back into bed with him.
Joseph walked out before Elliot could even make it into the closet, already prepared for the day. Joseph gave Elliot a quick wink before already making his way downstairs, preparing lunch for Elijah and Emory.
Both Jericho and Kyd Wykkyd's appearances had changed drastically in ten years as well. Kyd Wykkyd was no longer very well a kid, and so was now Wykkyd. He no longer donned his cowl, and instead wore something much more mature. His long, shaggy black hair still always hung in his face when he wasn't paying attention, and his ponytail had grown only slightly longer. He practically towered over most people, and seeing him stand next to his husband was downright hilarious. He still had his razor cape tied with his silver moon clasp, along with his purple undershirt. He now had black pants and his black gloves, though the gloves were now lined with razor sharp edges for a better advantage in close combat.
Jericho remained Jericho, though his appearance would shock those who knew him before. His curly blonde hair was now straightened every morning, but it still had this abnormal way of shooting in various directions. When straightened, the golden strips splayed all the way down to his shoulders, and he usually held his bangs back with a clip that had the same moon pendant as Elliot's cape. He wore black pants and a zipped up brown leather jacket lined with various weapons he was skilled in using. He also had gun carriers at his side constantly, and was the fastest quick draw you'd ever come across. He had tall black boots with slight heels on them, and he'd be lying if he said it was for fashion and not so he wouldn't be made fun of by the league. His normal weapon of choice was two twin katanas, which he was artfully skilled in. Needless to say, the retired Deathstroke was more than a little proud of his son.
Elliot walked down the stairs of their strangely mundane house tiredly, barely even flinching when two fighting teenage boys rushed passed him like every other morning. They'd found Elijah in an abandoned laboratory that Amanda Waller had sent them to investigate. Apparently a lab company had been trying to make clones of metahumans, and in the process gifted them with Elijah and Emory, two children made of pure experiment. Though they weren't biologically made like other children, their parents loved them all the same. Elijah and Emory were what the parents could never have themselves. Waller had incidentally gifted some of the other 'test tube babies' to other heroes. Raven and Angel now had Wysteria, and Kole and Jinx had Amethyst.
Elijah Grant Wilson-Knight was the eldest at 17 and built like his father, tall, lanky, and all stretched muscles. He had fluffy blonde hair like Joseph, but not to the point of being curly and usually kept his hair in a ponytail like his father's. He had Elliot's pale skin and eyes, but he definitely had Joseph's personality. He was playful, bright, and more than willing to fight someone for the hell of it.
Emory Roselyn Wilson-Knight was younger at only 15 and was a living drop of hell. He had black curly hair that was normally cut short and curled around his baby face, and he had an odd style to say the least. He had tan skin like his mother and emerald irises, but he was most obvious his father's son. He was short like Joseph, but he wore all black, all the time, and wore more eyeliner than most of his female classmates. He was sarcastic, rude, and more than a little creepy. Most of the children at the school they went to were convinced Emory was planning to kill them all. Emory was exceptionally smart and excelled in his classes, though he much preferred poetry, art, and music over arithmetic or basic science.
The boys rushed downstairs and grabbed their respective lunches from their mother figure, Elijah being a borderline cannibal with all the meat he consumes and Emory being vegetarian. Elijah grabbed his, hugging his mother before yelling a quick 'thanks' over his shoulder, running to beat his little brother to the bus again. Emory daintily picked his up before finally glancing away from his phone and yelling a loud 'don't you dare leave me behind again you uncultured cretin!' to his older brother, now struggling to catch up to him.
Joseph rolled his eyes and shook his head good naturedly before taking a moment to wonder how he got here. Ten years ago he never would have dreamed this type of life, yet here he was. Elliot easily snapped him out of his daze by chastely kissing his lips and motioning for them to get a move on. Joseph glanced at the door one more time, who cares how they got here, all that mattered was that they made it.
[Slade will die before he admits that he did indeed turn into that grandpa everybody loves, Joey also has a heart attack every time Emory goes to visit his grandparents to find Slade describing his old 'take over the world' schemes. Oh and btw, I just want you to take a moment to imagine what parent teacher conferences are like for this family. Just imagine it. Reviews are appreciated and requests are welcome! Send some!]
