"Iku hold on a moment..." Rin said before they ran around the corner
"What is it?" Iku asked her sister who was looking around the corner
"Yone may be out there, and you two need privacy..." Rin turned back to her sister. "You stay here, and I'll go send Daichi over here. In fact, hide in that linen closet." Rin shoved her sister into the closet
"Okay." Her sister nodded as Rin slammed the door in her face then came around the corner and bounded down the stairs.
"Rin!" Daichi was the first one to notice Rin he ran up the steps meeting her halfway "did you find Iku? Is she okay? Where is she? Is she-"
"Daichi." Rin shushed him putting a hand on his shoulder looking down at him seeing as that he was a few steps down "Iku is fine." Daichi's shoulders slumped in a sigh of relief "Now listen to me carefully, she's around that corner in the linen closet she really needs to talk to you." Daichi's eyes widened in panic "Now before you flip out she's not backing out and she's still totally in love with you, she just really needs to talk to you." Rin said "Now please, if you would go to her I think I did in fact lock her in that closet by accident."
"Thank you Rin." Daichi kissed her forehead like a father would doting his child "thank you so much, just... Thank you."
"Thank me later now go." Rin slapped his shoulder as he ran off.
"Hey what's going on?" The twins met hear at the bottom of the staircase
"Is she backing out?" Kaoru asked
"No, just a little pre wedding mini meltdown." Rin shrugged making it seem like less of an issue than it really was. "Nothing I couldn't handle." Rin shrugged. Her brows furrowed together as she scanned the room for a certain dragon lady. "Where's Yone?"
"You mean the monster in law?" Hikaru asked
"She stalling the guests." Kaoru said "Their getting really antsy."
"Well, shouldn't be too long now as long as there are no more snafus." If we should be so lucky…
"What did she say to you?" Hikaru asked "While you two were alone?"
"She better have apologized for being such a jerk..." Kaoru mumbled
"She did, in fact I'm the maid of honor again but guess why she-"
"Rin!" Santo came running in the room. Yone running as fast as she could in that dress "Did you find her?"
"Yes I did. She's-"
"Oh thank god!" Yone exclaimed haughtily "now we can talk some sense into this girl." Yone straightened out her dress and began up the stairs before Rin stepped in front of her.
"Iku and Daichi need a moment alone." Rin said firmly her arms outstretched blocking Yone from going up
"Excuse me?" She laid a hand over her chest her face shocked "there is NOTHING they can't say in front of me, I am his mother."
"Unless it's about you." Rin growled
"What did you just say?" Yone asked looming over her threateningly.
"I know what you did." Rin was absolutely furious, it was difficult to get Rin THIS angry, you had to work hard to make her angry, but one quick way to do it was to mess with her family. "You threatened my family, and that is not okay." Yone was about to say something but Rin purposefully interrupted her "you blackmailed my sister into kicking me out of the wedding."
"What?!" Santo shouted "you blackmailed my daughter?!"
"I did no such thing!" Yone shouted at Daichi "I simply made her come to her senses!"
"You're a liar!" Rin shouted "You told her you would frame me for having drugs in school, frame my father for stealing, AND threatened to ruin Daichi and Iku's relationship!"
"You did what?!" Santo screamed
"Do you have ANY idea who you're talking to young lady!?" Yone screeched
"IM TALKING TO SOME BROAD WHO THOUGHT SHE COULD GET AWAY SO EASILY WITH THREATENING MY FAMILY." Rin screamed.
Yone pointed one of her perfectly manicured fingers in her face "You do not talk to me in such a tone of voice do you understand?"
Santo was right on her words "And you do NOT point your finger in my daughters face!" Santo shoved Yone's arm away "And you most certainly don't call her young lady."
"You do realize I own the company you work for?" Yone smirked clearly amused "I could-"
"I don't care what you own and whose boss you are, there is no way in hell I'm letting you talk to my daughter that way." Santo wrapped an arm around his daughter's shoulders protectively.
Yone was visibly trembling with absolute anger, she had the Nakatani family right under her finger and now all hell was breaking loose "You..." Yone pointed at Santo "are messing with the wrong woman."
"No." A fierce voice came from the stairway "Your messing with the wrong family."
"Where on earth have you been?! How dare you run off like that?" Yone shouted as Iku padded down the steps towards Yone. "The wedding was supposed to start 20 minutes ago! What did you think you were-?"
"Yone." Iku interrupted "Rin is going to be my maid of honor and that's final." She said seriously "There is no one more fitting for the job than her, I refuse to have anyone else do it."
"Ohohoho!" Yone sassed in a matter of fact tone "You wouldn't dare." She leaned in Iku's face speaking in a low voice "You know what will happen if you cross me."
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing will happen." Iku smirked "I've already told Daichi what you said."
"Mother I cannot believe you..." Daichi was obviously ashamed "you threatened my fiancées family and my marriage with Iku!"
"Oh please Daichi…" Yone scoffed "That girl is one person it's not like she would have made a difference. And you're the one who had to go off and marry a nurse for crying out loud! The daughter of a manager! Necessary changes had to be made to protect the family name! Your future!"
"Don't you dare talk about Iku that way!" he yelled wrapping an arm around his fiancées waist. "I don't care what she does or who her family is, she's my Iku and I love her! And if she says she want Rin in the wedding then so be it! Rin is in the wedding! And quite frankly I want her in the wedding as well! Seeing as that I'm going to be her brother soon."
"This is a sick joke!" Yone exclaimed "you cannot possibly expect me to let that little mutt Ruin our family name!" the tension grew thick as the host club listened to Yone, Tamaki and the twins looked beyond angry, Honey looked on the verge of tears and Mori's brows knit together as she watched the woman with blank eyes, even Kyoya had a small scowl on his face. And Haruhi as just simply to say it pissed her face was the color of a fire truck. "She is a complete disgrace! There's no way I'm letting this embarrassment Ruin our family name!" she shouted at the top of her lungs "I can't even imagine how mortifying it would be if people see her hideous hair and not to mention-" before Rin could yell in her own defense a sudden loud CRACK vibrated through the halls of the entire church. Iku just back handed Yone right across the cheek. HARD. Everything was silent…if there was a cricket even he would be to shock to chirp right now.
"Don't you DARE talk about my baby sister that way EVER again." This time Iku was the one doing the pointing. "You will never talk about my family in such ways ever again do you understand?"
"HOW DARE YOU LAY A HAND ON ME YOU IMPUDENT LITTLE SCUMBAG OF A PEASANT!" Yone howled at the top of her lungs in such a way it would put banshees to shame. If the guests in the reception area couldn't hear us before they sure as hell can hear us now.
Before Rin could Santo stepped in, standing up for his daughter "DONT YOU DARE TALK TO MY DAUGHTER LIKE THAT!" Everything Santo learned about how to properly treat a woman was thrown out the window for the moment, he poked Yone in the shoulder getting very close up in her face. "YOU DO NOT TALK TO MY DAUGHTER LIKE THAT!"
"AND YOU!" Yone accused completely ignoring the fact Santo just touched her "IF IT WASENT FOR YOU AND YOUR STUPID LITTLE RUNAWAY WIFE CORRUPTING YOUR CHILDREN I WOULDNT HAVE TO DEAL WITH SUCH SAVAGES!"
And this is when Rin joined the little fiasco "DONT YOU TALK TO MY DAD THAT WAY!" Rin jumped in and lightly shoved Yone away from her dad "YOU DONT EVER TALK TO MY DAD THAT WAY!"
All in an instant the Nakatani family and Yone were in an all-out screaming fest and let me tell you it was vicious.
"Should we do something?" Haruhi asked quietly standing a safe distance away from the dispute.
"Sure go ahead…" Hikaru said sarcastically
"I'm not jumping into that viper Pit…" Said Kaoru
"ENOUGH!" a sudden booming voice rang out through the entire church. It was Daichi…who knew such a level headed guy had such a booming voice.
"Oh thank god, Daichi you've come to your senses." Yone sighed in relief "Daichi…put your fiancée in her place."
"Shut up." Daichi said coldly.
"Exactly. You need to learn your place." Yone pointed at Iku "you should be lucky my son even considers-"
"No mother, I'm telling you to shut up." Daichi corrected
"Wha-what did you just say to me?" Yone spluttered in utter disbelief
"I am sick of you putting Iku and her family beneath you it's disgusting!" Daichi took Iku's hand and stood next to the Nakatani family in their defense. "Iku is the love of my life and I love her and her family and you will not ridicule them!" Daichi turned to Santo and Rin and went to one knee "I owe you an apology…I ask for your daughters hand in marriage and I disgrace you by letting my family insult your family name …will you forgive me?" Daichi raised his head to Santo to see his reaction Santo simply punched him in the shoulder affectionately. "A man who gets to his knee and begs forgiveness for the one he loves is worthy of my daughters hand." Daichi smiled and thanked him and then turned to Rin "I owe you an apology as well… should have never let my mother kick you out of the wedding… I should have never even thought of letting the perfect maid of honor for my Iku to be replaced…can you forgive-"
"IF you promise to make my sister happy for as long as she lives then yes." Rin smirked "I forgive you.
"And I promise you, you will be able to stay at Ouran and Santo will keep his job, I'll make sure of it, as your brother I promise you this." Daichi said seriously.
"If she's in the wedding I won't pay for the wedding!" Yone yelled almost fearfully, knowing Daichi had influence at Ouran and could make sure Rin stayed and make sure Santo kept his Job since he does own a good half company at where he works, her leverage over the Nakatani's was fading "I'll disinherit you! You won't see a cent of your father's fortune! Ill disconnect our half's of the company! I won't let you ruin this company even if it means getting rid of this little Bit-"
"On the contrary…" Kyoya spoke up and adjusted his glasses "Daichi already owns the half of the company with the most influence. If anything Daichi is the one with the power to break you off. And not to mention a good portion of his father's fortune goes to Daichi when he gets married."
"That's a lie!" she snapped wagging her finger at Kyoya. "You have no proof! The wedding is off!"
"Oh but that's where your wrong." Kyoya pulled some papers out of freaking nowhere and held them out to Yone "Read paragraph five line three." He smirked as Yone took the papers.
"Well…" she had a bead of swear dripping down her forehead "Still…I won't give it my blessing…so you can't go through with it."
"I feel as if we are now beating a dead horse…" Rin noted as she had just simmered down from her little scream fest.
Yone looked a bit sick. Her face held the emotion of pure and utter befuddlement and defeat she just stood there with her overly lipsticked mouth in a thin line looking down at her shoes. Rin actually felt pretty happy with herself seeing Yone in defeat was quite the sight. But she had to save her happy dance for later she had to get Iku down the aisle.
"We should probably get this show on the road so!" Rin clapped and turned to Iku "Let's get you in that dress! Hikaru Kaoru?!" she called and the twins came at her command
"Yes Sir!" they saluted. Rin had a short delay processing they called her a sir but shook it off.
"I need you to fix Iku's hair and makeup can you do that?"
"Of course!" they answered simotainuously.
"Okay so Haruhi can you help me get her in the dress… it shouldn't be too hard…" Rin looked at her curiously.
"Okay." Haruhi shrugged "I'll be happy to help!"
"Tamaki?" Rin looked to the little blonde hellion "I need you to somehow stall the guests okay?"
"Of course my Daughter I will-"
"Now what I mean by stall." Rin started "I mean you go in there and keep the guests occupied, no extravagant speeches, touching people, or being inappropriate or anything like that okay?" Rin raised a brow pointing at Tamaki
"Okay…" he mumbled
Rin turned to Kyoya "Kyoya, everything I just told him not to do make sure he doesn't do it." Rin knew Tamaki wouldn't listen to her so she made Kyoya his babysitter.
"Alright." he sighed
Rin turned to Iku who had the look she always had on her face when she was hiding something. "What?" Rin asked eyeing her sister suspiciously.
"ummm…" she scratched the back of her neck "There's another problem…" Iku trailed.
"What is it? I'm sure we can fix it how bad can it be?" Rin smiled cheekily with hope in her eyes.
