Disclaimer, you know. (Does anyone think that I still need this here?)
Dorothy immediately went white as her aunt walked into the room. Her aunt had just asked her why she didn't want to personally tell them that Aislynn had been capture and immediately Dorothy broke down crying again.
"Well so much for being strong huh?" Alex asked warranting a punch to the arm.
"Alex, no offence but you deserved that, and Mrs. gale, ace was captured, Dorothy was trying to be strong about it, but she also has a fever and needs to keep her stress levels down. " Elena said.
"Your friend Emma is having Brianna make some soup." Jenny said pulling up a chair and sitting down.
"Oh, Jenny, Jessica, I didn't notice you girls were here." Em said turning to them
"Didn't henry tell you we were most likely coming here?" Jessica asked
"No, but to be honest none of us asked when he got home, I'm also surprised that Alex was here, and to top most of it off henry, Jon, and I alongside the triplets were all brought here rather suddenly by Locasta but she won't tell us anything." Em said getting a little stressed at this point.
"Auntie Em, you're not making the situation, any better, now please leave." Dorothy said wiping the tears from her face.
Em looked at her niece for a moment and sighed.
"Dorothy I'm sorry if I upset you anymore than you already were." Em said starting for the door.
"Mrs. Gale, why don't you go to the kitchen and see if Brianna needs help with the soup." Elena said.
Em simply nodded and walked out. Elena followed shortly after as Locasta walked in and walked over to Jessica and Jenny.
"I finished your rooms, if you have any complaints we can fix the room for you, my crystal showed me that you guys like things really simple." Locasta said.
"Thank you, if you need any cleaned just let us know." Jenny said getting up and walking over to Jessica.
"I'll show you two to your rooms." Locasta said leading them out of the room.
Dorothy sat up and sighed before turning to Alex and Ellie. That's when all of a sudden she felt nauseous and jumped out bed running to the bathroom and retching into the closest receptacle she could find, which in this case happened to be a conveniently placed tin bucket.
"Well, she's either really sick or really stressed out." Ellie said.
"Or both." Alex said.
"Right, or both." Ellie replied.
"You should go check on her." Alex replied.
"Why don't you? You're her boyfriend." Ellie replied.
Alex at this point wasn't going to argue with Ellie for fear of getting punched by her. He sighed and walked into the bathroom where he found Dorothy now standing in front of the sink seeming to be rinsing her mouth out with water.
"You alright?" Alex asked curiously
"I just vomited into a bucket what do you think?" Dorothy asked spitting out a mouthful of water.
"Hey it was an honest question." Alex said walking over to her and rubbing her back in a circular motion.
Dorothy sighed and then gagged into the bucket. She was definitely sick and she was not enjoying it. When she finished vomiting after about five minutes she looked at herself in the mirror and noticed that Alex was still standing behind her and meanwhile she herself had gone a sickly pale color. She turned to Alex and immediately began to feel weak, her knees buckled underneath her and she started to collapse. Alex managed to catch her and take her in his arms. Immediately the sound of the jester's laugh echoed through the city.
"Dorothy Gale! Face me now!" The jester called.
"Alex, get me out there." Dorothy groaned.
"Dorothy, I can carry you to the field but then you're on your own." Alex said as the scepter floated into the room.
"Dorothy gale! I'm waiting." The jester said growing impatient.
"Take us outside." Dorothy groaned before managing to click her heels as the scepter floated into her hand.
Immediately Alex and Dorothy lurched forward only to be brought to an abrupt halt. Alex would have dropped if he hadn't been prepared for it. Immediately Alex looked up and saw the image of the jester, looking rather surprised and confused look on his face.
"What's wrong with her?" The jester asked curiously.
"She's fallen ill, what do you want?" Alex asked setting Dorothy down on the ground.
"Well I have good news, you're friends are just prisoners at the moment." He said sighing
"Well that's good news, right Dorothy?" Alex asked kneeling down next to her.
"Um, she doesn't have anything that's catching does she?" The jester asked worriedly.
"Don't know, don't care, it's not going to keep me away from her." Alex said placing a hand on her forehead.
"Yea but you have dedication, I just can't stand sick people." The jester said as a thick mist formed in the field as everyone ran out.
Immediately the image of Aislynn laying down with her head in scarecrows lap, both of them chained to a wall in a bedroom like room. Em gasped and ran over to Alex and Dorothy.
"Her fever's rising Mrs. Gale." Alex said worriedly.
"Oh my poor little girl." Em said placing a hand on Dorothy's forehead and then on her cheek.
"I think its best that we keep the triplets away from her Emily, Dorothy is really weak and most likely contagious." Mr. Foreman said walking over.
"Brief break from retirement?" Both Em and the jester asked in unison as the mist cleared around them.
"I'm the only other doctor here aren't I?" Mr. Foreman asked turning to him.
"Well there's that Elena girl." The jester said.
"If you wouldn't mind, leave me out of this." Elena said walking over.
Mr. Foreman sighed and knelt down. He then looked up at the jester for a moment.
"Are you done here?" Mr. Foreman asked curiously.
"Um, yea, I guess so." The jester said vanishing.
Mr. Foreman chuckled and then placed a hand on Dorothy's forehead. He then reached into his pocket and took out a canteen. This he unscrewed the cap from and brought the canteen to Dorothy's lips. Immediately Dorothy felt the cold water from the canteen rush down her throat. She coughed a few times and opened her eyes as Mr. Foreman helper her to her feet/
"Thanks, I needed that." Dorothy said now squinting in the light.
"Dorothy, you're sick, and as a doctor, albeit a retired one, I want you to get a lot of rest, drink lots of fluids, and if the fever gets any worse take a long cold bath." Mr. Foreman said.
"Um, the soup will be done soon if it's any help." Brianna said.
"Yes, um get her a large bowl full and half a loaf of bread to go with it." Alex said as Mr. Foreman opened his mouth to reply.
"Yes sir." Brianna said saluting and running back in.
Dorothy sighed and immediately collapsed onto the grass again. Alex sighed and picked her up. Dorothy was now paler than she had been and was even warmer to the touch now. Mr. Foreman then instructed Alex to carry her back to her room. This was going to be a long couple of days for Dorothy.
Well Dorothy is definitely ill, and the jester wants to know if she's contagious? Wow what a germaphobe. Anyways sweet reviewers what do you think will happen next?
