As Toto and Pockets followed china princess, Ellie and Locasta to the chambers. They found Alex waiting there with his sword now attached to his belt.
"I saw it in the rainbow mover, Locasta, send me home I have to help them." Alex said.
"Alex it's too dangerous." Locasta said.
"What's going on?" The princess asked curiously.
"My family is under attack, Officer Grey won't be able to fend off the monkeys alone." Alex replied
"Alex Teak, Listen to me! You will be walking yourself into a trap if you go there, and as Glinda's regent I can't allow you to put yourself in danger." Ellie shouted.
"Ellie can it, it's my family!" Alex said watching as Toto and Pockets ran off.
"Alex!" everyone gasped in surprise.
"Locasta send me home now! Dorothy would do it" Alex shouted.
Locasta looked at Ellie and they both sighed in defeat. Locasta then waved her wand over him and he vanished. Meanwhile at Dorothy's room however she was now quite distressed.
"Why would he even think about going there? He's not insane." Dorothy said climbing off the bed and leaning against the scepter.
Immediately her knees buckled underneath her and she had her full weight on the scepter now which was still managing to support her. She immediately pushed herself up and walked over to the closet. She didn't care about staying in she had to keep her friends, and Alex safe.
Meanwhile in Kansas.
Alex immediately found himself in the living room of his house where he found several monkeys wrecking the place. He immediately began fighting off those monkeys when he heard Annabella screaming. Immediately he ran into the kitchen and found his mom and Annabella in the corner of the room while Officer Grey was trying to fend away the monkeys by aiming his revolver at them.
"Officer grey, drop the gun, I'll fight them off, and you guys get outside, now!" Alex shouted.
Immediately the monkeys turned their attention to him. Officer grey quickly led Mrs. Teak and Annabella outside. Alex drew his sword and swung it at them causing them to screech and fly out the door. Alex chased after them he found what seemed to be an entire army swarmed around Mrs. Teak and Annabella. Officer grey was now on the ground seemingly unconscious. Alex ran at the group and noticed his father running at the group with a two by four. Alex smiled and continued to swing his sword at the monkeys.
"What are they doing here!?" Mr. Teak shouted as he beat some the monkeys away.
"What do you think!?" Alex asked.
No sooner had he said that Dorothy appeared in the group with them. She shot several orbs of light out of the scepter before any of them even noticed her. It was then that the monkeys retreated.
"Well, well, well, the full team at last." Came the voice of the jester.
"What do you want now?" Dorothy shouted.
"Dorothy hush, you need to keep relaxed you shouldn't even be here." Alex said taking her hand.
"Alex you coming here was a trap in itself, I don't want to lose you." Dorothy said squeezing his hand.
"Oh how sweet, well someone's going to be lost, look around you right about now." Came the voice of the jester.
Immediately Alex and Mr. Teak turned around. It took them a minute to register what had just happened. Annabella and Mrs. Teak were missing.
"What have you done with them!?" Mr. Teak asked angrily
"Oh don't worry, they'll be perfectly safe, I'll put them with the straw man and the girl." The jester said appearing in front of them.
"Let them go" Alex said about ready to lunge at the jester with his sword and run him through.
"Hey, maybe if you paid better attention you probably could've kept them safe." The jester said aiming the wand at him.
"You knew the odds were stacked against us even if, if…" Dorothy said as she fainted.
"Dorothy" Alex said dropping his sword and taking her in his arms.
The jester then cackled wickedly and vanished. Not long after Mr. Alistair's car pulled up and he, Donna and Kelly ran out. Donna ran over to Officer Grey just as he came too.
"Wow, those things are really good with a rock." He said rubbing his head.
"Everyone saw the swarm, what's wrong with Dorothy?" Donna asked curiously.
"I'm sure we'll find out in a moment." Kelly said walking up next to her sister as they all felt themselves lurch forward.
Meanwhile back at the jester's hideout.
Aislynn and scarecrow had been waiting in that room for a while. Every now and again a tray of food would appear for Aislynn to eat but they were both getting bored and miserable being trapped in that room. And not even the scarecrow, with his marvelous brain could think of a way to get them out of this situation.
"Anything?" Aislynn asked curiously.
"Ace I think of something you'll be the second person to know." Scarecrow said.
Aislynn sighed and turned back to the door. After a few minutes they heard screeching from the hall and soon the door began to shake and it flew open. The screeching of monkeys was heard as Mrs. Teak and Annabella were thrown into the room. Several other monkeys came in and attached chains to their wrists. They then flew out shutting the door behind them.
"Mrs. Teak, Annabella! They got you guys too did they get Alex?" Aislynn asked curiously.
"No, the jester trapped Annabella and I, I don't know why though." Mrs. Teak replied.
"Mommy, I'm frightened." Annabella said resting her head on her mother's lap.
"Be strong honey, we'll be alright." Mrs. Teak said.
Meanwhile back in the city.
Alex had brought Dorothy back to her bedroom in the city. He was given orders not to leave Dorothy's side at this point. Meanwhile Locasta had put Mr. Teak under calming tonic so that he wouldn't get too angry. Donna and Kelly had gotten their own rooms in the city now and Officer Grey had been sent back with Mr. Alistair and a clean bill of health. As Dorothy came to once more she turned her head to see Alex sitting next to her.
"Alex, what happened?" Dorothy asked trying to push herself into a sitting position.
"You passed out before even getting a chance to finish a sentence, Mom and Annabella were captured and dad's rather upset about it, I figured it was inevitable that all of them would be captured to get to me, but he must have something worse planned for me and my dad." Alex replied.
"Alex d-d-don't say that, I, I don't want to lose you." Dorothy stuttered out.
Alex sighed and took a vial from his pockets filled with that familiar looking green liquid. He then poured it into a glass of grapefruit juice he had poured earlier and handed it to Dorothy.
"Elena told me to administer this once you're awake, it will calm you down and put you to sleep for a few hours, but when you wake up you'll feel refreshed and energized, you'll still have to watch the stress levels and you'll still have a fever, you're currently at 102.5 which isn't that bad, but the fever still hasn't broken." Alex said as he watched Dorothy down the entire glass again.
"Tastes… surprisingly better with the tonic." Dorothy said laying back down as the potion took effect.
Alex sighed and sat back in his chair, this was going to be a long, long day.
Meanwhile again at the jester's hideout.
The jester was now standing in front of three cabinets. He had captured the lion and the tin man in their nighttime patrol. But he wanted the set. In order to do that however he would have to get passed Aislynn in order to get to the scarecrow and there was no way he would be able to get Dorothy because he wanted a fair fight. He knew that soon he could invade and take over Oz. he cackled wickedly at his wickedness and he then knew who he would capture next.
Well… that escalated quickly. Anyways, who is going to be captured next? And for the reviewer jessicathewitch, your little story in the comments is interesting. Interesting plot development. Anyways.
