Late that night the rain began to lighten up. Dorothy was sitting outside of the tent siting in drizzling rain. She wanted to run, run far away. She didn't want to leave her friends though. She knew she didn't have the heart to kill the jester. She didn't know what she was going to do. She felt alone even with her friends by her side. She then began to think about her parents. What would they think of her? Would they be angry with her? She thought they would for how she was thinking about leaving her friends. She began crying.

"Dorothy?" came Mr. Foreman's' voice as he walked out of the tent.

"Jon, just please go back inside." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy, why are you crying?" Mr. Foreman asked walking over to her.

"Jon, I'm frightened, I don't think I can do this." Dorothy said covering her face.

"Dorothy, my dear, I think we're all scared, but your life, as well as the lives of everyone here in Oz are depending on you." Mr. Foreman said taking out a handkerchief and wiping Dorothy's face.

Dorothy sniffed and hugged Mr. Foreman.

"I broke my promise to Mr. Diggs, I allowed ace to get captured, I've allowed the jester to come to power, it's because of me that Glinda was turned into a puppet, that scarecrow, tin man, and lion were captured, that the Teaks were captured, all because of me." Dorothy said turning away from him.

"Dorothy? Mr. Foreman? Oh, what is she upset about?" Alex asked walking out of the tent.

"She's frightened about all this." Mr. Foreman said getting up and walking over to him.

"Mr. Foreman, you go back inside, I'll take care of her." Alex said.

Mr. Foreman nodded and walked back into the tent, Alex sighed and walked over to Dorothy. Taking off his jacket and draping it over her shoulders. He then wrapped his arms around her.

"Alex, I've never felt so scare or worried, I'm now charged with the task of purposely killing someone, I can't do that, I've let my friends and family get captured and I, I just can't do it Alex I cant." Dorothy said hugging Alex back.

"Dorothy, don't think about that now, what you need to think about is the people you are fighting for." Alex said hugging her tighter.

Dorothy cried silently for a few moments. She then sniffed and leaned into Alex. She felt safe with him. She wished that she wasn't endangering him and the others. Alex leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. She sighed and nuzzled into his chest. It took nearly an hour but eventually she nodded off. Alex smiled and picked her up carrying her back into the tent.

Meanwhile at the Alistair residence

"We are now reporting on the ever worsening storm conditions that are plaguing Kansas at this time, it is asked if you can avoid it to stay in their homes and not go outside until the storm is over… in other news" The voice of the weatherman reported as Officer grey switched off the radio.

"You know it's the work of the jester right?" Officer grey asked Mr. Alistair.

"I think we all know that." Mr. Alistair said.

"Of course we do, I'm just worried about what it's going to do." Mr. Pryce said.

"Knowing the jester he may even try to capture us all under the cover of this storm." Donna said.

"But that makes here no safer than Oz." Eliza said.

"Thank you, my very distant cousin, I'm aware of this." Donna said.

"Then why did you and Kelly come back?" Mr. Alistair asked curiously.

"Because Mother and Father are here, passed out on the sofa over there from this stressful time." Donna said referring to her parents.

"Well then, the gangs all here and ready for capture." Came the voice of the jester.

Immediately there was a loud clap of thunder a flash of lightning and the house was empty, left with the jester's laugh echoing throughout.

Several hours later in the forest.

Dorothy awoke to the feeling of Alex's lips against hers. She opened her eyes and hugged him tightly. She then pushed herself into a sitting position. She found Toto and pockets sitting on the foot of the bed and waiting for her to awaken.

"Breakfast is ready, after we eat and get some rain coats would you mind showing us how to put away the tent?" Alex asked curiously.

Dorothy smiled nodded. She then got off the bed and picked up the scepter. She then walked over to the entrance of the tent and found everyone huddled a small cooking fire and one of Glinda's magic cooking pots. She smiled and walked over. Mr. Foreman immediately handed her a plate of bacon and eggs. After Dorothy finished she went into the tent and to the back. She then took out the sign that said washroom and the entrance that was there vanished. She then walked over to one of the beds and pulled the sheets off. Immediately the bed shrank down to the size of a doll house accessory. She then picked it up and placed it into one of the pouches alongside the wall. She then went over to the side table and knocked on it twice causing it to shrink. Alex went over to the remaining dressers and wardrobes and grabbed some rain coats before following suit. Dorothy then had Alex help her with the supports. Moments later all of them were outside the tent, Toto and pockets sitting safely in the picnic basket Dorothy had brought. The maids Emma and Mr. Foreman were astonished to see the tent shrink and roll itself back up. Dorothy smiled and helped Mr. Foreman put the tent and the sign back on the backpack before walking over to Alex and taking the blue raincoat he picked out for her. She then picked up her satchel and slung it over her shoulder before picking up the scepter and the basket allowing them to set off again.

"Which way do we go?" Mr. Foreman asked curiously.

"The way we've been going, east, that's the opposite of the river, eventually we'll hit munchkin territory." Dorothy said.

Mr. Foreman nodded and they started for the eastern lands. No one knew how long they would be walking before they would get a break but Dorothy didn't seem to be ready or willing to let them stop. After about an hour the rain began pouring again but Dorothy wouldn't stop this time. She was determined to get as far away from the city as possible. However she would glance at the sky every now and again and saw the shadows of flying monkeys through the rain they seemed to be swarming around.

"Dorothy, please, we should rest a while." Alex said.

"Alex, later." Dorothy said.

Alex sighed and grabbed Dorothy' shoulder and turned her around.

"Dorothy I realize you want to get far away from the jester's influence which I want to add, is impossible, but either way those monkeys will catch us eventually and here's to assuming he doesn't send a dragon." Alex said.

"What!? You never said anything about dragons!" Jessica and jenny said in unison

"Jenny and Jessica, please be quiet, I'll explain later!" Mr. Foreman said sternly.

Dorothy stopped and pushed passed Alex and over to Emma. She then knelt down in front of the girl.

"Emma, if there's ever an emergency, remove the amulet Glinda and Locasta made you." Dorothy said.

Emma nodded and smiled.

"If there is a dragon, do you think your magic can take care of it once your large again?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Yes, I think so." Emma said nodding.

"Good girl, now, back on our way." Dorothy said getting up and starting off again.

Alex sighed and grabbed Dorothy again.

"Dorothy stop, please" Alex said.

Dorothy turned to Alex and looked at him curiously.

"Dorothy gale! I know you can indeed hear me, I have your friends, and Alex's family." Came the voice of the jester.

"Oh I really hate him." Dorothy said getting irritated.

"Dorothy gale, abandon your friends and allow yourself to be captured, otherwise you know what I can do." The jester said.

"I won't abandon the people I love." Dorothy whispered.

"I shall wait for you to make your choice, take your time, I'll just send my dragon to find you!" The jester said laughing wickedly

Dorothy sighed and turned to the others.

"I won't let him get to me." Dorothy said before turning away again and running ahead.

She had to go to munchkin land, back to where it all began.

Dorothy, what are you going to do now? Well reach munchkin land, and start there. Back to where it all began, to the old farmhouse? What do you think reviewers? The war in Oz has begun. All the people from Kansas who are greatly associated with helping Dorothy, and even some who aren't have been captured. What effect will this have on the Maitlands? Donna and kelly's parents
