Dorothy immediately bolted up and looked out the window. The same dragon that she had met in the jester's woods. She sighed and immediately tried to come up with a plan.

"Um, quickly any ideas?" Dorothy asked worriedly.

"Distract it like we did in the woods?" Alex said.

"I wasn't there for that part, I was tied to a chair." Dorothy said.

Dorothy sighed and walked back over to the chair just as the dragon tried to approach the mansion. Immediately it screeched in pain and distress. The sound of monkeys began to be heard from outside as many of the munchkins screamed in terror as they heard the sound of the monkeys attack.

"Dorothy gale, I will have the entire city until you come out." Came the jester's booming voice.

Immediately the sounds of houses being destroyed echoed through the land. Dorothy winced and turned to Alex.

"Dorothy don't even think about it." Alex said.

"Dorothy I can go out and take off my amulet now if you'd like?" Emma offered.

"Emma, no, I've changed my mind about that." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy, I promise I can take care of it." Emma said

"Let the child go, there is a back door she can use." Cassandra said.

"Dorothy, me and Finley can distract the dragon while Emma gets ready to fight the dragon." Terrance Offered.

"D-d-don't I get a say?" Finley asked.

"Terrance, I don't want you guys to get hurt, I may just face the thing myself." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy no!" all of them shouted in unison.

"Okay, okay, we're not going with that Idea then, any other suggestions?" Dorothy asked turning towards Cassandra.

Immediately the witch turned to Alex who nodded. Cassandra smiled and waved her hand in front of Dorothy. Immediately Dorothy's eyes closed and she fell unconscious. Alex however managed to catch Dorothy and carried her over to a chair.

"I cannot believe she didn't see that coming, alright, so here's the plan." Alex said walking over to them.

"You have a plan?" Jenny asked curiously.

"Yes." Alex said now walking over to the window.

"Well?" They all asked curiously.

"Emma, I'm pretty sure you're taller than that dragon when full height." Alex said.

"I've always wanted to try and transform something large, maybe I'll turn it into a small statue." Emma said.

"Would it be possible for you to just shrink it down?" Alex asked carefully taking Dorothy's satchel off her.

"Um, yea, but don't we want it harmless?" Emma asked curiously.

"If I can detain it, it will become harmless." Alex said rummaging through the satchel and pulling out the pocket compendium and a glass jam-jar filled with peas.

"What's with the peas?" Jenny asked curiously.

"For a pea shooter, my dear girl." Mr. Foreman replied.

"Okay, Mr. Mayor Sir, do you have a bowl or something I can put these peas in?" Alex asked curiously.

"Yes, I do." He replied running to get it.

"Emma, you go out the back door and remove the amulet, Jon and I will distract the dragon until you can shrink it down." Alex said.

"If you're going to go out against that thing then take the compendium with you, it shall protect you better than that sword." Cassandra said as the munchkin mayor walked in with a small glass bowl.

"You know, I never asked Dorothy what she had packed in that satchel of hers." Alex said as he over turned the glass jars contents into the bowl.

"Alright, Alex, Emma, you two ready?" Mr. Foreman asked curiously.

"As we'll ever be." Emma said.

"Emma, the dragon can't enter within the perimeter of the mansion without feeling pain, and neither can the monkeys but once you get ready to transform the dragon you shall have to have to leave the perimeter." Cassandra said.

"Thank you Lady Cassandra." Emma said.

"Mr. Mayor lead Emma out the back, Jon, you come with me." Alex said.

The mayor nodded and took Emma's hand leading her away. Mr. Foreman however looked at Alex curiously.

"When did you start calling me by my proper name?" Mr. Foreman asked curiously.

"When I decided I actually like you, come on." Alex said placing the compendium in his pocket and starting for the door.

"Ready?" Mr. Foreman asked curiously.

"Ready." Alex replied.

Mr. Foreman nodded and joined Alex. However in the back Emma was nervous, yet excited.

"Thank you Mr. Mayor." Emma said curtseying.

"My pleasure, just be careful." The mayor said before walking away.

Emma smiled and walked outside. Immediately a bunch of monkeys tried to swoop down only to bounce of Cassandra's barrier. She smiled as the sound of monkeys and the dragon trying to attack meant that Alex and Mr. Foreman were now distracting the dragon. Emma then reached behind her neck and unclasped the amulet. Immediately she began to feel the strange sensation of growing. Her clothes expanded with her as she began to go back to her normal size.

"Well, it's time to attack a dragon." Emma said starting for the other side of the house.

Meanwhile in the house Cassandra approached the sleeping figure of Dorothy.

"Awaken child." She commanded waving her hand in Dorothy's direction.

Immediately Dorothy's eyes opened and she bolted up. Toto barked and pockets meowed rather loudly. She immediately stood up and grabbed the scepter before realizing what had happened and starting for the door. Lady Cassandra however raised her staff and mumbled something causing Dorothy to freeze in her tracks. Dorothy grunted in frustration finding that she couldn't move her feet.

"If you go out there child it will be the end of you." Cassandra said approaching her.

Dorothy stopped and hit the scepter against the ground in frustration.

"I have to help them." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy, the old crone is right, you need to stay in here." Jenny and Jessica said in unison.

"I am not an old crone, crones are wicked and disagreeable, and I was friends with Glinda's aunt and taught both Glinda and Locasta everything they knew." Cassandra replied.

Dorothy sighed and turned her head to face Cassandra.

"Let me go, I'll stay within the perimeter of the house, I just have to make sure they're…" Dorothy started to say but she was interrupted by the ground shaking.

Cassandra waved her hand in Dorothy's direction and she once more found herself able to move. She immediately ran outside and saw Emma walking towards the dragon who now seemed to look like something in comparison to a frightened cat in the corner of a room.

"This is for Mother and Father!" Emma shouted pointing at the dragon.

Immediately the dragon began to shrink. Alex ran at it and slashed at it with his sword a few times. It screeched loudly and tried to breathe fire at Alex. The flames however went around him as the compendium began to glow in his pocket and went towards the house only to be deflected as well. Mr. Foreman however saw Dorothy and ran over to her.

"Dorothy my dear, I told you we could do it." Mr. Foreman said.

As the dragon continued to shrink, Dorothy looked up at Emma to see her smiling. Dorothy smiled a fake smiled and watched as the dragon was now down to Toto's size. Alex then revealed the glass jar and jammed it over the dragons head as it continued to shrink. A few minutes later it was completely in the jar and trying to fly out. Alex however had already sealed the lid on the jar. Emma smiled and looked at her arm.

"Oh dear, I appear to have gotten some slight burns from that fire." Emma said putting her amulet back on and beginning to shrink again.

"Don't worry my dear, I always carry a first aid kit with me." Mr. Foreman said.

"The monkeys fled when they saw me, it was funny to watch them tumbling over each other." Emma said as she walked over to Dorothy.

"I'm sure it was, Emma, you could have been captured." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy, we're fine." Alex said walking over showing her the dragon in the jar.

Dorothy smiled and took the jar from him.

"Please, do me no harm." The dragon said.

"Don't worry, you'll be our hostage." Alex said.

"Mr. Dragon excuse me for a moment." Dorothy said handing the jar to Mr. Foreman.

"Why what's wrong?" Alex asked curiously.

Dorothy didn't respond. She merely hit Alex rather hard on the arm.

"You could have been killed! You could have been captured!" Dorothy shouted angrily.

"Alright, alright, I deserved that." Alex said.

"Never do that again." Dorothy said.

Meanwhile at the palace.

The jester was now fuming mad. Basil had returned with a card saying that his dragon had been captured. He immediately conjured up a powerful windstorm.

"Curses! Curses! How dare she send out her friends to stop his dragon? And the fact that she used the giant to do it!" the jester shouted as he stormed into the chambers once more.

He had his puppet collection as well as his army of set up in the chambers. He had two cabinets specially made one for Dorothy and one for Alex. The couple would stand side by side. He would just have to capture them.

Well, the dragon has been CAPTURED! Dorothy I rather upset. And it turns out Cassandra is Glinda and Locasta's former Tutor from sometime before or after Glinda's aunt died and Glinda took her place as ruler of her domain. What will the jester do next? Where will Dorothy go next? And will there be a musical number in the near future.
