Disclaimer you know.

Dorothy spent the rest of the morning leaned up against the balcony railing. The sky began darkening again in the early afternoon soon it had begun raining again. She moved inside and sat down on the bed. She sighed and looked towards the door to see Alex looking at her worriedly.

"Is something wrong?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Not really, everyone's just worried about you, we've been calling you for the last ten minutes, you've missed lunch" Alex said.

"Any apples?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Somehow I knew you were going to ask that." Alex said pulling one from behind his back and tossing it to her.

"Thanks." Dorothy said catching it and taking a bite.

"No problem." Alex said walking over.

"Alex, what am I going to do?" Dorothy asked turning to him.

"How do you mean?" Alex asked curiously.

"I'm so worried about them, I'm so tempted to just click my heels and go to the city." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy, Cassandra said it was out of the question, just leave it be, we'll get them back I promise you." Alex said.

"But you can't keep that promise and you know it." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy?" Came Mr. Foreman's voice from the doorway.

"She's awake Jon, she's just a bit worried and upset." Alex said.

"Would she like another apple?" Mr. Foreman asked curiously.

"No thanks Jon" Dorothy replied.

"Why don't you come downstairs then Dorothy my dear?" Mr. Foreman asked.

Dorothy sighed and got up. She grabbed the scepter and walked over to Mr. Foreman.

"Jon, I'm so worried about them." Dorothy said walking passed him.

"Dorothy, we all are, but there's nothing we can do right now." Mr. Foreman said placing a hand on her shoulder and stopping her.

Dorothy shook her head and sighed before pulling away from him and walking downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs she found Cassandra waiting. She walked right passed Cassandra without saying a word or even listening to her words of wisdom. She walked into the living room where she found Emma, Terrance, and Finley sitting in front of the fireplace sharing stories with the munchkins while Toto and Pockets were asleep in the corner. Dorothy sighed and walked over to a chair on the far side of the room and sat down. She was now extremely tempted to just click her heels and go straight to the city without saying a word to the others. She knew it wasn't the right thing to do but she was extremely tempted to do it. She didn't care what happened to herself, as long as the people she cared about were alright and out of harm's way. Cassandra hobbled into the room and over to Dorothy.

"I know what you're thinking dear about doing child, don't do it." Cassandra said.

"Cassandra, just leave me alone, please." Dorothy said.

Cassandra let out a sigh and hobbled away. Dorothy let out a long sighed and finished off the rest of the apple before looking around the room. Cassandra was now talking to Alex, Mr. Foreman, Emma, Terrance and Finley. Most likely about how she was worried about Dorothy. She sighed and stared into the orb of the scepter for a few moments. She watched the light and smoke in the orb swirl around. The red haze was still present and she still in the end had no idea what its purpose was, even if she had been told she didn't remember. She sighed again and looked up to find Alex standing in front of her now.

"Dorothy, please, we know what you're thinking about doing." Alex started saying before Dorothy raised a hand to cut him off.

"I've already gotten this speech Alex, just please leave me be for now." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy." Alex said sighing.

"Dorothy?" Mr. Foreman asked as he walked over.

"What now?" Dorothy asked sounding a bit irritated.

"Cassandra wanted to know if you'd like to accompany her to her cottage on Mount Munch." Mr. Foreman asked.

Dorothy looked at Alex who nodded. Dorothy smiled and nodded as well. She figured it would be best if she just left her current surroundings for a little while. Give herself some time to clear her head and find something else to worry about. Dorothy then got up and walked over to Cassandra. Immediately Cassandra took Dorothy's hand in her own and with a swirl of her cloak, they were gone.

Yes, I know this was a short chapter but I need a lead up for the events to come. Anyways, you guys are good. I do want to use the song No one is alone from into the woods, just not the one from the Disney movie. I'll be using the original lyrics. Which is marginally longer than the version Disney used. Anyways. What are the events to come that I mentioned at the beginning of this note? Find out in the next chapter.
