"Dorothy?" came the voice of Dorothy's mother as she coughed a few times.

"Yes momma?" Dorothy asked walking into the room.

"Doctor Foreman will be here in a few minutes." she replied.

"Momma, you don't have what papa had do you?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"I don't know my darling." She replied coughing.

Immediately there was the sound of knocking on the door. Dorothy ran over to the front door and opened it. As she opened the door Doctor Foreman walked in carrying a bag

"Hello doctor."

"Good morning Dorothy, is your mother in bed?" Doctor Foreman asked curiously.

"Yes doctor Foreman." Dorothy replied.

Doctor foreman sighed and walked over to the bedroom. Dorothy followed and watched as the doctor gave her mother a full examination.

"Mrs. Gale, would Emily and Henry be able to take care of her? We can't risk her getting sick." Doctor Foreman asked curiously.

"I'm sure they'd be happy to." Mrs. Gale said coughing a few times.

"Momma?" Dorothy asked worriedly.

"Yes my child?" she responded.

"Momma are you ill?" Dorothy asked as tears formed in her eyes.

Mrs. Gale nodded and Doctor Foreman looked at Dorothy with sympathy. He then turned to Mrs. Gale and sighed.

"I say we start treatment immediately and hope that, never mind." Doctor foreman said

Dorothy began crying and found herself waking up. She felt grass beneath her. Opened her eyes and found herself in a clearing.

"Finally awake?" came the voice of the jester.

Dorothy looked up and saw the jester sitting in a tree branch above her.

"Why are we outside? You had your chance." Dorothy asked pushing herself up into a sitting position on the grass.

"two reasons, one, I sort of guessed you'd be coming, I knew you'd show up to rescue them sooner or later, two, it wouldn't have been a fair fight, and I want to give you a fair fight and I'm surprised the scepter even let pick you up and bring you here." The jester said.

Dorothy tried to stand up and immediately her head began pounding. Immediately her vision went fuzzy and she sat back down. She looked at the scepter as it was glowing brightly as she squinted at it.

"How long have I been out?" Dorothy asked.

"Two days, I brought you out here this morning, your friends and family are probably aware of your safety by now." The jester said jumping down from the branch.

"Did you tell them?" Dorothy asked weakly.

"No, but they've been watching, or at least someone has been." the jester replied.

Dorothy sighed and laid back on the ground and closed her eyes. Her head began pounding again. She tried to think about what had happened. All she could think of was that she released some magical energy. She hated doing that and realized she needed some water

"I need some water please." Dorothy said

"Sure." The jester replied

The jester then chuckled and flicked his wand. Immediately a large bucket of water appeared and over turned itself over Dorothy. Immediately she screamed and bolted up to find the jester laughing hysterically.

"Okay that was helpful, but now I'm soaked." Dorothy said undoing her pigtails and wringing out her hair.

"Munchkin land is that way, I'm sure your friends will be excited to see you alive and well still." The jester said pointing to the sunrise.

"Why are you just letting me go?" Dorothy asked as she grabbed the scepter and looking in the direction he was point.

"One word for you, morality, oh, and before I forget, I sent a little surprise ahead of us for you." The jester said as he flicked his wand and vanished.

Dorothy sighed and started heading towards the east. She knew she would hit munchkin land eventually. But now she was worried about how she was going to be able to eventually destroy him. How could she kill a man who had spared her so many times? She didn't know, and now she was more worried about what the jester may have sent ahead for her in munchkin land. However she was also getting that feeling of being watched.

Meanwhile back at the palace.

The jester watched Dorothy walking towards munchkin land in his crystal ball. He also looked around his new room and acknowledge the five empty places where cabinets containing puppets had once been. He had sent ahead five puppets in there cabinets. Each to give Dorothy help and a tactical advantage, his advantage was having the city and an army of puppets. Would she be able to break the spell? Well he knew she'd figure it out, only she would be able to touch them outside of the cabinets.

Okay yes, yes, I know I know, sort of short again, but as you can see with good reason. Now, dear reviewers. Take a good guess. What five people have I freed from the jester's control? What five puppets will be restored to life? Leave a guess in the reviews.
