Disclaimer, you know.

Dorothy did know how long she had been flying but the scepter had been flying extremely fast until it began to slowly descend and slowly come to a halt. The rain was still pouring down and it was rather hard to see as the scepter landed in a small clearing in a forest she had never been in before. She didn't know where she was and she was fine with that. She needed a place to vent and cry for a bit. As she got off the scepter she looked up into the sky and allowed the rain to fall on her for several moment before she sat down and cried for several minutes. She didn't care that the rain was soaking her to the skin. She felt that no matter how hard she tried she seemed to cause an upset. She knew her friends would be mad at her now that she ran away but she didn't care anymore.

"Excuse me dear, but may I be of some service?" came a sweet sounding voice of a women from behind her.

Dorothy immediately looked up and turned around. Behind her was a women standing a few feet behind her. She was wearing a light purple dress, a light purple cloak, and carrying an umbrella of the same color. She had reddish pink hair which made Dorothy wonder who this women could be. Dorothy looked at the woman's face and stared at her light blue eyes. The woman smiled and approached Dorothy.

"Forgive me, my name is Angela." The woman said holding the umbrella over Dorothy.

"It's nice to meet you Angela, my name is…" Dorothy started to say before she was cut off.

"Dorothy gale, witch slayer of Oz and the jester's prime target, yes I am aware of all of that. Cassandra informed me that you might show up." Angela said

"You know Lady Cassandra?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"More than just know, she's my sister, Cassandra and I have never really seen eye to eye since the incident that led to her retirement so it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't mention me." Angela said offering Dorothy a hand.

Dorothy smiled and accepted the hand as Angela helped her to her feet. Dorothy then picked up the scepter and allowed Angela to lead her along. It didn't take them long to reach a cottage that looked similar to Cassandra's.

"Cassandra only mentioned her mother, and how she used to knit before the accident." Dorothy finally said.

"Oh is that what she's calling it? She knew the risk of running into the room of someone who was going to cast a powerful spell the wrong way." Angela said.

"I think we all know that risk, but I think she calls it that because for Locasta it was an accident." Dorothy said.

"Oh, I hadn't thought of that, well, come in." Angela said pushing open the door.

Immediately as Dorothy walked into the house just like Cassandra's house the fireplace burst to life. Angela smiled and removed her cloak, hanging it on a hook that was set next to the door. She then walked over to the fire place.

"So, would you like a dress to borrow? Or would you like to stay in that cold, wet dress of yours?" Angela asked turning back to Dorothy.

"Do you have a bathrobe? I wouldn't feel right borrowing a dress." Dorothy replied

"I'm sure I do, just have to do a little more re-sizing." Angela replied.

"Well I have plenty of time to wait I assume." Dorothy said joining Angela in front of the fire place.

Immediately she felt the warmth of the fireplace and then the chills from her wet clothing. She shivered and knelt down in front of the fire. `

"You should probably make a mental note not to run away in a rainstorm." Angela said chuckling a bit before walking over to what looked like a large wardrobe.

"Yes, I probably should." Dorothy replied as Angela tossed her a towel and continuing to search through it.

"Well, I have a few nightgowns if that will do." Angela said pulling out a light blue nightgown.

"If it's the best you've got, I really don't like borrowing things from people." Dorothy said.

Angela smiled and walked over to Dorothy. She then handed her the nightgown before heading upstairs. Dorothy sighed and quickly changed out of her dress and shirt and into the nightgown. She then placed her soaked outfit on large mesh folding metal cover that was meant to be placed in front of the fireplace when one wanted to keep the embers and ashes inside the hearth. Her mother had done it when she needed to dry the laundry and it was raining outside. She sighed again and then picked up the scepter and the slippers and brought them over to the door and set them next to it just as Angela came down the stairs.

"My you do look lovely in that nightgown, works on you better than it did on me." Angela said placing a hand under Dorothy's chin.

"Have you tried contacting Cassandra and my friends?" Dorothy asked curiously.

I have not, nor can I." Angela said tilting Dorothy's head to the side to get a good look at the child.

"Why not?" Dorothy asked rather confused.

"My magic is limited, Cassandra can only contact me or mother, but not vice versa, I'm sure Cassandra will contact me tonight and ask if you showed up." Angela said turning away and heading towards the fireplace.

"Why is it limited?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"I gave up most of the practice after my sister retired, unlike my sister I never finished becoming a sorceress." Angela said sitting down in a rocking chair in front of the fire.

Dorothy sighed and wished she hadn't asked that. She then walked over to the fireplace and sat down on a small stool.

Meanwhile back in the munchkin city.

Not long after Dorothy's departure Alex and Ellie went out to see if they could catch up with her. However at the mayors mansion there was a rather large argument going on.

"All I'm saying is that it was completely irresponsible for her to just run off like that." Mr. Teak said.

"We know that, we understand that, but do we know why she ran in the first place?" Em asked curiously as she was feeding the triplets.

I think she was upset about something, which tends to be the only reason she ever runs off." Glinda said.

"But what would upset her so much that she felt she needed to run off again?" Aislynn asked curiously as she helped Em with the triplets.

"If Alex and Ellie managed to catch up with her I'm sure we'll find out." Scarecrow said standing in the doorway to the living room.

"Cassandra, you've been awfully quiet, is there something that you aren't telling us?" Glinda asked turning to her old teacher.

"What's there to say my dear? Why don't you keep an eye out for your sister and the boy?' Cassandra said.

"I just checked, there's no sign of them." Mr. Foreman said walking into the room.

"Jon, do you have any idea why Dorothy might have run off?" Em asked curiously.

"I haven't the slightest." Mr. Foreman replied sighing.

"Then she did it on a whim, that's the only other reason I can think of." Mr. Teak said in well that's that sort of tone

"Dorothy doesn't do things on a whim, it's not really like her." Em said

"I think it's all the stress is getting to her Em." Henry said.

"Look, I think we should just wait for Alex and Ellie to return, they should be back soon if they haven't gotten lost." Aislynn said.

"Ace don't say that, you know there's no way we can find them, Locasta didn't lift her spell over Alex." Glinda said worriedly.

Meanwhile out in the woods.

Alex and Ellie had been walking in the forest in the direction that Alex had seen Dorothy fly off in. they were both standing under an umbrella in the downpour and it occurred to them that even if they did find her the fact that they could hardly see more than two feet in front of them would make it difficult to get back to the munchkin city.

"Alex, I think we should turn back." Ellie suggested as they nearly walked into a tree.

"Ellie we promised we'd search, anyways, at this point which way is back?" Alex asked.

Ellie sighed and looked around. She couldn't help realize that were most likely lost.

"Alex, you're right, we should keep going I know that some people live here in the woods maybe we can find one of those people have seen Dorothy." Ellie said.

"I hope you're right, I wonder if Dorothy's alright." Alex said as they came to a clearing.

Well this was a rather interesting chapter. Will Alex and Ellie find Dorothy and Angela? And will the other's find out why Dorothy ran off? Also I'm sorry this chapter took so long to come out, I have, and still am having computer troubles. But things should be back to a relative normal soon. I really hate this keyboard.
