Meanwhile at the jester's palace.

The jester was now pacing around. He was trying to pass the time until he could focus the crystal ball on Dorothy again. he was beginning to get bored waiting for her to get far enough away from Alex for Locasta's spell to no longer affect her. Meanwhile, he figured, he may as well come up with a plan.

Later at Angela's cottage

The day had passed by rather slowly for Dorothy. She spent most of it with her head on Alex's shoulder as they sat in front of the fireplace. Ellie and Angela were working together on some embroidery work. As evening came and the sun was almost completely set Dorothy began to nod off again. Every now and again she would jerk awake. Alex and Ellie found this hilarious while Angela just continued her embroidery. After a while Dorothy was being shaken awake by Alex who was quietly calling her name. Dorothy let out a long yawn and stretched before sitting up and turning to Alex.

"What is it Alex?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Angela wants to know if you'd like anything to eat or drink before she goes to bed." Alex said as Angela walked over and nodded

"Just a glass of water please, I am a little thirsty." Dorothy replied.

Angela nodded and walked out of the room. She returned a few moments later with a glass of water which she handed to Dorothy. Dorothy thanked Angela and took a long sip from the glass. Angela then smiled and left the room and headed upstairs. Ellie then got up and walked over to Dorothy and Alex.

"Dorothy, Alex, in the morning when we get back to the mansion we should try and get Angela to stay and help us." Ellie suggested

"But Angela and Cassandra probably won't get along." Alex said

"I know but it would be a great chance for them to make up." Ellie said

"Ellie It's not that we don't agree with you, but you do realize how much could possibly go wrong?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Yes I do, but I return to my last statement." Ellie replied

Dorothy smiled weakly and set the glass of water on the tea table Angela had set out before stretching again and leaning her head on Alex's shoulder.

"Dorothy, I think what you're going to have to worry more about what you're possible punishments are going to be." Alex said running his hand through Dorothy's hair.

"Alex, I ran away, putting myself in danger, I did something foolish and I will accept the punishment like an adult." Dorothy replied.

Alex sighed and looked up at Ellie. Just as he opened his mouth to say something however the fireplace went out, as did most of the lights in the room with the exception of two oil lamps. The three of them let out a collective sigh.

"Well then, I think it's time for us to go to sleep, we'll discuss this more in the morning." Ellie said.

"Right, night Ellie." Dorothy said.

"Night you two." Ellie said as she walked over to one of the rocking chairs and fell asleep.

Meanwhile at the mansion

Locasta had eventually come back and made up with Glinda after snapping at them earlier. Em and henry had decided to discuss punishments with Glinda, Locasta, and Cassandra. However Roquat had decided to pop in on them in surprise. And he suggested a suitable temporary punishment.

"But are you sure it won't have any negative effects on her?" Em asked curiously as she tucked her children into bed.

"I assure you it will have no lasting effects on her, she just can't be wearing the slippers or holding the scepter." Roquat replied walking over to a cup on the table and transforming it into a golden goblet.

"Oh Roquat don't tell me we'll have to trick her into drinking from that goblet will we?" Glinda asked worriedly

"No, I shall stay and place the spell on her, no potion required." Roquat replied waving his hand over the goblet and filling it with bubbling liquid.

Glinda smiled and looked at Cassandra who was knitting silently in the corner. Cassandra didn't look up from her knitting she merely continued with her knitting. Roquat smiled and produced a vial from his robes.

"Now you must remember, that when you are ready to lift the transformation she must drink this." He said as the vial filled with a glowing green liquid and handing it to Glinda.

I won't forget Roquat." Glinda said taking the vial and pocketing it

Yes, I know this chapter was short. But take a good guess, what is their plan for Dorothy's punishment? Also, will the three of them manage to convince Angela to stay with them at the mansion?
