Well hi again! ^0^ yes this is a chapter, small but a chapter non the less. Think I owed it to you guys for the super long wait for the last chapter and THE EPIC REVIEWS YOU ALL WROTE! Thank you guys so so much for all your amazing kind words! I'm so pumped to write at the moment I already wrote this and power typed another half a chapter (about 5k words, the next one is going to be more like my usual length haha) so yeah! (Part of it was because I looooooooove leaving you guys with cliffies an this might just have an even better one that the last chapter...gomin...#warming up to dodge even more rocks#

HEADS UP! - because of how long Ri has been away, I've added a little detail I thought was kind of relevant. This takes place roughly at the very end of the school year so the exwires would have taken their qualifying exam so as of now, they are all lower 2nd class exorcists. I'll detail it a little more in the next chapter =) Oh! An I think I already mentioned it but this has a RinXIzumo ship in it ^^

REVIEWS (especially the longer ones) = SUPER-SPARING EVERY SECOND TO UPDATE AGAIN ASAP! XD

Again this was a little forced, I struggled writing this little bit but the next part didn't feel so forced while I was writing so it should flow better and there will be LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF ACTION, I'm so excited about this right now! #deep breath#

Anyways, REVIEWS! You wonderful wonderful people! I practically danced to work this morning cause I woke up to 10 reviews an my eyes fell out of my head.

"Get. Your. Hands. Off. My. Brother."

Yukio could barely contain his rage. They had followed the sounds of hundreds of people laughing and jeering and when the familiar sound of Shura's voice cought his attention he signalled to the others and they charged past a wall and flooded into what looked like it used to be a classic piece of medieval architecture. He stood in front of about thirty exorcists all armed to the teeth, keeping formation right behind him where his ex students (1) and the paladin and an array of upper class exorcists under his command.

He caught sight of Rin instantly and fired a warning shot at the arm wrapped around his elder brothers shoulders. Whoever dared touch him like he was their pet like that would suffer his wrath and right now his wrath was endless. The half human-half snake-demon thing let go of his brother and backed off and everyone around froze. The impact of their arrival only lasted a couple of moments when one of the 'wizards' shot a ball of green light at the snake sitting on the floor by the snake man, Yukio made a mental nkt that he must have been a 'good guy'. The light bounced off the snake and hit some of the black robed men and chaos broke out. Some of the robed men turned into black mist and shot into the air, one woman with unruely curly hair screaming at them to come back. The boy who had shot the green spell ran off to one side and the snake man shot more light after him, missing him as he climed over a ledge and ran around the walkway. The people who appeared to be students and teachers retreated into the castle firing light at the cloaked figures who fired at them, someone erected some kind of magical barrier in front of the enterance and the offensive spells dissolved into nothing upon coming into contact with it. Yukio ran forward as the other exorcists fanned out casting barriers and forming something of a barrier between the two sides and themselves. He ran to his brother who hadn'd budged, not even attempting to evade the 'spells' that shot in all directions from both sides. He reached him and grabbed his arm, twisting him around so he could make sure he was okay and froze in place when he met his eyes, his momentary relief at finally being reunited with his brother fizzled to nothing. They where pure black, devoit of anything other than a feral instinct which made a lump fkrm in the tallers throat. what did they do to you? he thought in disgust. He shook his head and dragged him towards the other exorcists.

"Rin, Rin can you hear me?" He shouted, shaking him but not getting any response other than a hiss, possibly of pain? A moment later Shura was at his side and grabbed the hand holding Rin's sleeve and pulled it free.

"Move, he's not himself, sort of like he's posessed." She hissed as she tried to pull him away to the safe zone where his colleagues had formed a barrier wall. Izumo appeared at his other side, grabbing Rins shirt and shaking him feverantly.

"Rin! What's wrong! Answer us!" She cried desperately. "What's wrong with him?" She shot at Shura demandingly, waving her hand to direct Uke and Mike who formed a barrier of their own that stopped a purple spell shooting towards them in its tracks. Over the commotion of the all out war that raged around them, Yukio picked up on a serpentine voice shouting in rage.

"Rin! Seize the boy! Bring him to me!" To Yukio's horror, Rin snarled and turned tail, ripping himself from their grasp and sprinting in another direction. Yukio made to chase after him but someone dragged him in the opposite direction.

"There's nothing you can do right now, I'll explain!" She called as they broke into a jog and followed the students into the castle. They stilled and stood near the enterance ready for the next attack and Shura leaned into Yukios ear. "In a nutshell Rin is a Horcrux, its a piece of someones soul that tethers them to assiah and basically makes them immortal, the only way to kill the person is to destroy all the Horcruxes but there must be an exception, that kid you saw fire a spell at the snake was killed, they used a spell that kills people on him but he's still alive." Yukio kept his focus on outside the castle, killing off the occasional deamon that reared up from behind the cloaked men and attacked the barrier.

"So we just get someone to use the same spell on Rin and he'll be fine then?" He said, somehow doubting it would be that easy, Shura only confirmed his doubt.

"Well, Rin's kinda immune to magic, you probably will be to."

"So what do we do?" The brunette asked, grinding his teeth and trying his best to maintiain his professional composure and obliterating a kappa that was ripping at the barrier with its claws.

"I don't know yet. His demon heart is in Voldermorts wand-"

"Mephisto told me. He breifed me on the situation with the wand but the only other thing he said is that Rin is an anchor for an criminal, though human, mastermind who is immortal."

"Well as it stands his immortality depends on his anchors, Rin and that snake. Harry was one before but Voldermort destroyed it himself even though Harry survived."

"So for the moment we should focus on destroying the snake? That gives us some time to stall and figure out a way to save Rin." Yukio offered, summing up their mission.

"One more thing, Horcruxes can only be destroyed by specific things, the killing curse, the almost incurable venom of a baseIisk, feindfire, most likely your flames." Yukio made a noise of understanding and she shot a slash of air which blew back an approaching dark wizard and ran towards the paladin for debriefing. Yukio glanced around and saw the rest of his group, some including Konekomaru chanting to keep the barrier up, some shooting down approaching demons and cloaked figures and some standing readily with blade edged weapons, Shima stood at the ready with his K'rik and Angel was shooting blasts of light at approaching demons with Calibur, giving words of encouragement that made the rest of the group cringe. Shiemi had immediately ran to the first person she saw with an injury and was pulling aloe leaves and witchhazel from her familiars stomach for treatment. The only acception was a somewhat hysterical Izumo who was being held in place by a frustrated Bon, trying her best to break free of his hold and run outside. Yukio broke ranks and ran to them, kneeling in standing tall in front of a teary but angry Izumo. "We have a plan," he said quickly, grabbing his ex student by the shoulder and giving her a little shake. She looked at him through dangerously narrowed eyes. "Right now we need to kill the snake we saw before, if anyone sees it, capture it but wait for me, I'm the only one who can kill it at the moment unless someone can use feindfire or knows where we might find a baselisk." He said reassuringly yet firm at the same time. "The snake and Rin anchor Voldermorts soul to assiah, we kill the snake and we can kill him."

"Wait a minute, you just said Rin is an anchor." Bon said with a frown from his left. Yukio kept his expression as blank as possible.

"We'll get to that when we get to it. The boy, Harry, who fired a spell at the snake, He used to be one and he's fine as we saw." Izumo nodded slowly and her usual cold, determination creeped into her expression and she dried her eyes and got to her feet. Uke and Mike appeared at her side, their mouths darkened with demon remains and a startled expression on their faces.

"Priestess, something is happening outside." As they spoke Yukio felt the tiny hairs on the back of his neck, all down his spine and arms stand on end. A thin sheen of sweat broke out over his skin and his breath hitched. The sound of shouts, screaming, gun fire, the growls of snarls of demons, everything blended together into white noise as Yukio turned around in horror. Everything slowed around as he studied the face of everyone around him, looking for the one. Finding nothing he jogged towards the enterance, shooting down a number of demons of various origins that obscured his view.

It couldn't be. Not here. Not now. He had only felt this feeling once before and hadn't ever expected to feel it again, atleast not so soon. When he stepped out of the building into the courtyard the entire scene had changed. The battle out here had came to a standstill, everyone, demon, witch and wizards of both sides had formed a broken circle around Voldermort. The serpentine wizard was hunched over, his wand lay on the ground and from what the half demon could see, his face was a mix of fury and horror all at the same time. He ran towards the circle, pistols pointed at the struggling form with hatred. The feeling intensified and his hands gripping the pistols shook. The black robed figure stood straight, head thrown back and arms outerstretched and a brindingly bright blue exploded around him. Yukio raised an arm to block the glare and his own flames erupted around him as if in response. Yukio shouted over the roar of panic from everyone and pointed to the castle.

"EVERYONE GET INSIDE!" He screamed, lowering his sheilding arm as the sudden explosion of light died down to a less blinding level. Before him stood the warped, reptilian featured man, his cold blue eyes taking on a jagged shape, his entire body engulfed in blue flames and taking the shape of dragonfly's wings behind him. A crooked smile split his face and the effect of it combined with his inhuman face was posatively terrifying. His eyes immediately found Yukio amidst the crowd rushing past him to get away from the flames, carefully avoiding his own even though his where harmless to them. A girl with brunette hair about his height and a redhead ran towards him, wading through the crowd and stood on either side, wands raised pointing at the dark wizard.

"What's happening? You're Rin's brother aren't you? You're Yukio. I'm Hermione an this is Ron." The brunette said quicly. "Those flames..." Yukio spared her a glance and gave a nod of acknowledgement.

"Nice to meet you, yes I'm Yukio. That isn't Voldermort anymore." He said darkly, hands twitching once more. He felt the two give him looks of shock but Yukio could only focus on the madly grinning blue figure slowly walking towards him.

"I trust Rin told you who our real father is? Well...You're looking at him."

I'm starting to think I'm going to get murdered by my screen in my sleep cause of everyones rahe over my cliffies BUT I LOVE WRITING THEM AN BEING ALL DRAMSTIC AN STUFF! XD Haha, bet you thought Yukio would come in eith everyone an be all badass an kill voldermort, save Rin and everything would work out! NOPE! If you read any of my other fics you should know I do love hsppy endings...with a dark twist lmao! But anyeays. REVIEWS = UPDATES!
