LLL- Sorry about this being a shorter chapter. Please forgive me! I'm on vacation in Texas and my writing time is limited.

Levi- Yeah yeah. Get to the things that matter.

LLL- Things that matter. Like?

Levi - She doesn't own SNK/AOT.

He shifts in the bed and everyone hops to their feet. Slowly his hand lifts to his head and he feels the bandage stopping the blood. There is a scratch on his nose. Mikasa kicked Levi's nose with her heel but the rest of her foot hit his head, knocking the shit out of him. He has opened his eyes. He looks around the room and the person he sees is Erwin. An annoyed sigh escapes his throat and everyone sighs in relief.

"Erwin, what the hell happened? Did a titan step on me?"

Erwin smiles at this. "Well no, but it might as well had." He glances back at Mikasa and she is looking out of the window, guilt flooding her once again.

"I don't remember that happening. Who made it back from the expedition if I was out?" This is when Erwin's face goes stale and the oxygen in his throat freezes. "And who the hell are all of these people?" The others also feel blank at this statement.

"Levi, what are you talking about?"

He says nothing and looks around the room again. "Where the hell am I?" It's his room. Erwin grabs his hand.

"Levi, tell me. What is the last thing you remember?" An alertness rests in his voice and he leans forward, alarmed.

He doesn't want to answer this question. His head is hurting like hell and laying down is much more preferred. "The expedition that we just did outside of Wall Rose. I took down two titans. And then we were called back because the titans were running past us. The wall had been breached ag-aghhhh." He grabs a hold of his head as a shocking pain shoots through it. Eren's breathing has increased as his worst fear has been confirmed.

"Oh no," Hange gasps.

"Lay down." Erwin helps him relax in the bed.

He sits up again, in disbelief. "Did I really get hit by a damn titan. One of those brainless land masses?"

"Just lay back down. You need rest." Erwin practically pushes him down. Reluctantly he complies after simply seeing the look in Erwin's eyes.

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

Erwin turns around. "Let's go."

Eren, Mikasa, Hange and Armin follow him out. He shuts the door and the only thing they can do is sit there in silence. Erwin breaks it with a sigh. "The last thing he remembers is the last expedition we took outside of the wall the day Wall Rose was breached."

"So," Armin adds, "he never met any of us."

"And Gunther, Petra, Eld, and Oluo never died," Hange says, voice low. "How do we tell him?"

No one says anything. Eren leans against the wall, feeling nauseated. This can't be happening. Mikasa grabs her head. "This is my fault."

Eren jerks up some. "No... It's not."

"Yes it is. I provoked him. I kicked him. I keep messing up." He voice is full of disappointment and Eren places a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"It's going to be OK." On the outside he is trying to keep his cool. On the inside he is pissed at Mikasa and scared for Levi and himself. "He'll come through... He always does."

Armin grabs Mikasa's hand. "C'mon. You look like you need some water." She doesn't argue with him. Together they walk down the stairs. Eren is lost in his own thoughts.

"Eren."

He looks up at the sound of Erwin's voice. "Yes?"

"Don't worry. Lets try to talk to him." Erwin walks into the room with Eren close behind. Levi is laying in the bed, looking at the ceiling. The sun outside is setting and creates an orange glow on the room. When he hears them entering he turns his head. "How are you feeling?"

"Like shit." He pauses to sigh. "What the hell happened?"

"You were in over your head. Got distracted."

"Distracted? Tch." He looks at Eren. The two's eyes connect, Levi's are cold. He then looks back at Erwin. "Who's the brat?"

"A new recruit."

"It's not time for recruits."

"He's special."

"And the other brats standing in here earlier?"

"Also special recruits."

"I feel like I've missed something." Levi turns his head away from them, looking out of the window. "Where's Petra and the others?" Eren takes note of how he mentions Petra specifically and feels all of the progress they made fall down a hole.

"Oh... They are in another facility. Resting up."

Eren shoots Erwin a look of disbelief but he doesn't make any kind of eye contact with him. Levi sighs again. "So where am I?"

"In the facility for Commanders."

"With newbies?"

"They were worried. Everyone looks up to you Levi. You tend to forget."

"Hey, brat." Levi calls. "Get out." Eren flinches at this and Erwin looks at him with a knowing glance and nods his head.

"Y..yes sir," Eren says weakly before leaving out. His feet drag on the floor and he closes the door. Erwin walks over to the window and leans on the seal.

Levi sits up and studies him with narrow eyes. "Am I weak?"

Erwin rolls his eyes. "Not this again." Honestly it's been quite a while since he's been asked this.

"Answer me."

"Never have you been weak. Since the day I scooped you from underground you've been the strongest in the walls."

"Right. So why am I laying in this bed with half of my memory fucked up?"

"What..."

"I'm not stupid and there's something you aren't telling me."

"You've always been attentive." Erwin walks to Levi's bed and sits on the edge. He gets extremely close to his face. "Now enlighten me, what do you think it's not telling you."

Levi turns his head. "Damn pervert."

"So you already know."

"You already told me in a way."

"And your answer?"

"I told you I don't do that sort of thing."

"Would you do it with Petra."

"I told her no."

Erwin is shocked, this being a piece of information he hadn't known. "So...?"

"Relations are nothing more than distraction while locked within the walls. Why would one want to raise a child in this hell?"

"She asked for a kid?"

"No. But I'm not going to let her. I don't want that."

Erwin scoots to his ear, their faces touching. "No shame in letting off a little steam."

"That's what killing titans are for. Now back up before I slice you like I should have done when I met you."

Erwin pulls back and stands up. "Well you need to rest." He turns to the door.

"Wait, dammit." Levi grunts. "Stay here for a little."

"Why?"

"I don't want to go to sleep yet. My head hurts."

"Go to sleep. No more damage can be done."

"I trust you."

Erwin exhales deeply. "I've been watching over you ever since you joined us. Before you friends died and you didn't know it..."

"That's creepy, asshole."

"After your friends died and you couldn't sleep on days like this. You'd stay up, not wanting to see their faces when you closed your eyes. What are you so afraid of now?"

"I'm not... I don't fucking know. I feel like I made another mistake."

"You're human...It happens." Erwin leans on the wall. "I'll stay if you want. Go to sleep."

Levi closes his eyes. After about 10 minutes he falls asleep. Erwin slips out of the room and walks down the stairs, the wood creaking with every step. In the kitchen, Eren sits, staring into a cup of water. Erwin sits down at the table. "He'll be fine. We'll reveal everything to him slowly. Right now he's sleeping." Eren acts as if Erwin never even entered the room.

He stands up, the chair legs screeching under him. "I'm going to go see him."

"Don't wake him."

"I won't." He walks up the stairs slowly. Erwin looks over at the cup of water he had in front of him. He desperately wants to drink it. The odds that Eren already took a sip are quite slim. But what if he did? Will he turn into a titan? Just as Erwin is lifting the cup, he hears heavy footsteps racing down the down the stairs. Quickly he drops the cup and Eren dashes into the kitchen.

He is breathing hard and in a panic. "Levi's gone!"

Erwin stands up. Face covered in disbelief. "What! That's not possible. I was just in there."

"He's gone!" Without another word, the two run out of the house. The sky is dark and the air is thick.

"I just left him and he has a concussion so he couldn't have gotten far." Erwin concludes.

"This is Levi we're talking about! He could be passed Wall Maria by now. With no gear!"

"We need 3DMG."

The two waste no time and run to the nearest supply building, equipping themselves. Together they set off through the town. "If you were Levi who just lost your memory, where would you go?" Erwin asks.

"No where! I'd be in my bed! Unconscious!"

"Stop thinking like a normal human and think like Levi!"

"Me? Why don't you throw something out there?"

"You fucked him. Did you get anything useful out of it?"

Eren furrows his eyebrows at this but saves his slight dislike for Erwin until later. "He hates being within the walls so he'd go somewhere he can see over it. A place where he can get a view of it all at once. The highest place in the district..."

"No where in the district overlooks the wall."

"He's on Wall Rose."

"Are you sure?"

"No but it's our best shot."

Eren accelerates and Erwin is close behind him. Eren's thoughts are running as he maneuvers past buildings. He simply wants Levi to be back the way he was, but Levi doesn't love him anymore. These feelings are wasted.

When they reach the wall they scale to the top. Landing on it they look around until they see a shadowed figure standing and looking out at the horizon. The wind blows his hair. "The buildings within the gate are crushed but there is no breach. The breach in Wall Rose it stoppered." He stands there, silent, not once looking at Erwin and Eren. "Now tell me. What happened to my team? Lie and i'll chop off your tongue. Where is Petra."

Erwin steps up. "They are dead. The only ones left are Hange, you, and I."

"Are they dead... because of a decision I made?"

Erwin is silent, looking at the ground before Eren speaks up. "No! They died because no one knows how anything will turn out. No one can tell the future and when a decision is made you can't have regrets. They are dead because that's how it happened and they have been greatly missed."

Levi's eyes show no type of emotion. He simply looks at Eren, the light of the moon gleaming into his eyes. "Who the hell are you?"

A single tear slides down Eren face but his expression doesn't alter. "Eren Jaeger... Sir."
