Disclaimer, you know.

Dorothy awoke to find herself in her bed. The scepter floating at one side. Alex sitting in a chair on the side. She opened her mouth to say something but Alex put up a hand to silence her.

"To answer your questions in no particular order, three days, everyone is safe, my family, Eliza, donna, Kelly, basically everyone from our world have been sent home, time is running freely again, yes you succeeded, and yes, you can have a drink of water." Alex said.

Dorothy opened her mouth but immediately shut it again because Alex had just about covered everything she wanted to know. She tried to push herself into a sitting position but found her back extremely sore. Alex smiled a handed Dorothy a cup of water. She smiled and slowly took some sips.

"My aunt and uncle, my cousins?" Dorothy asked.

"Sent home as well, ace went with them as were Jessica and jenny and Mr. Foreman." Alex said.

"Did Emma get reunited with her parents?" Dorothy asked.

"Glinda sent them home, Locasta has returned to her domain, rose left as well, she said we'd probably see her again at some point, and that must be Elena." Alex said as the door opened and Elena walked in.

"I thought I heard talking, Alex, you were supposed to get me if she woke up." Elena said.

"Yes, well I didn't want to alert too many people, everyone would have flocked here at once and possibly would have alerted the citizens of the city, or don't you remember the last two days with reporters trying to get to get in to see if she was awake yet?" Alex asked.

"Okay fair point, but still." Elena said placing a hand on Dorothy's forehead.

"Right, now, anyways, any damage?" Alex said.

"No fever, she's had some water, just get her some food, anyways, I'm assuming you feel quite sore? Mrs. Garrison told us what happened" Elena asked

"My back is rather sore." Dorothy said as Alex helped her up.

"Yes, Alison said you would probably be better if you had stayed facing the stairs and allowing the energy to enter you front ways before casting the spell, not sure how that would have worked by the logic I've heard so far but Glinda seemed agree with her so who am I to argue." Elena said as she also helped her up. Once Dorothy was on her feet she turned to Alex and saw him holding the moon's tear.

"Rose said you could keep it if you'd like." Alex said.

"I think I will keep it, but Elena, can I have some alone time with Alex, I'll lock the door behind you, just make sure we aren't disturbed." Dorothy said placing a hand on the scepter.

Elena nodded and quickly left the room. Dorothy sighed and waved the scepter at the door causing it to slam shut and lock. Dorothy walked over to Alex and hugged him tightly and began crying.

"Dorothy, what's wrong?" Alex asked worriedly.

"Alex, he apologized for everything in the end, his last act was that of remorse, before I…" Dorothy said trailing off.

"Dorothy, I need to start a list of things not to talk to you about, I guess that will be number one just above mentioning your parents." Alex said returning the embrace.

Dorothy cried into Alex's shoulder for about half an hour. Before regaining her composure.

"Alex, don't make a list like that, I'll let you know when not to talk about certain things." Dorothy said releasing him and walking over to the closet.

As she walked in she heard Alex move about and realized that he was turning away so she could change. She quickly changed out of the nightgown she had been put in and into her usual outfit. She found her boots and satchel as well as the slippers. She took the satchel and slung it over her shoulder and took both her boots and the slippers in hand and left the closet.

"Dorothy, would you like to go to the chambers or would you like people to come here?" Alex asked curiously

"I think we'll go to the chambers, better than having everyone storm here at once." Dorothy said putting the slippers on the floor and sliding them on.

Alex smiled and he and Dorothy left the room shutting the door behind them. When they arrived at the chambers they found Glinda, Ellie, Tin man, Lion, Scarecrow, China Princess, and Marshall Mallow sitting there having what looked like a normal conversation. Ellie was the first person to take notice of Dorothy and Alex. Ellie smiled and got up, she then walked over to Dorothy and hugged her tightly.

"Are you feeling alright?" Ellie asked curiously.

"No Ellie, not really, but I'm sure I'll get over it in due time." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy, the journalists want some questions answered, I had them make a list of the important ones that scarecrow would allow to get through if you'd like to answer them." The china princess said walking over and handing Dorothy a piece of paper

Dorothy sighed and unfolded the paper. She let out another long sigh and crumpled up the paper.

"No." Dorothy said.

"You won't answer any questions?" Glinda asked as she and the others walked over.

"Glinda, before I killed him, he apologized, for everything, and I still had to do what I had to do, when I leave I want all of Oz to know that I forgive the jester for his wrongs, and if by some miracle he should return, I want all of Oz to forgive him." Dorothy said hugging tightly.

"Rose told me, I didn't know if she was just vouching for him because she loved him." Glinda said.

"Rose helped me and him in the end, she forgave him and gave me the instructions on what do when the energy struck me, but I wish I didn't have to do it." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy, none of us can imagine how might possibly feel." Tin man said

"Yea, this time you had to do it on your own and on purpose it must have been frightening." Lion said.

Dorothy sighed and walked over to the throne and sat down. She closed her eyes and set down the scepter. Glinda smiled warmly and walked over to Dorothy placing a hand under her chin.

"Dorothy, don't worry, it's over now, but I promise if such a miracle should take place, then I will do whatever is in my power to make sure he is forgiven." Glinda said smiling.

"As will I" the china princess said.

"And us." Scarecrow, tin man, and lion said in unison.

Dorothy looked at her friends and smiled. But there was something that she wanted to take care of.

"Glinda, the scepter, I don't really need it anymore now that the jesters gone what should I do with it?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Dorothy, you were named protector of Oz as soon as you claimed the scepter's powers as your own, but a fact that needs to be faced is that there will always be someone who wants to take over Oz." Glinda said with a sigh.

Dorothy sighed and got up. She then looked at Alex who shrugged.

"Well, I guess we can always put it back in its case, should either I or Alex need to use it all you need to do is send it to one of us." Dorothy said picking up the scepter and smiling.

"I think that sounds like a good plan." Alex said walking over to her and placing a hand on the scepter.

Glinda chuckled and led them all to the back of the room. She waved her wand a few times and new case similar to the one the scepter was once held in appeared. As she opened the glass door to it Alex and Dorothy slowly set the scepter into its place. As soon as it was set it glowed brightly for a moment then dimmed. Dorothy looked at Alex and smiled before whispering something in his ear. She then turned to Glinda.

"Glinda, if it's okay with you guys, can Alex and I spend one more day in the emerald city? It's just that I spent the last three days unconscious…" Dorothy started to say before Glinda cut her off.

"You and Alex may stay, your aunt and uncle had a feeling this might be something you would ask, but Ellie has to go back to Kansas today as school is still in session." Glinda said smiling.

Dorothy turned to Ellie who smiled and walked over to her.

"Dorothy, from the standpoint of these two worlds father time sped time up so that time here and there would match up perfectly again, realistically you've been gone for almost a month." Ellie said still keeping her smile.

Dorothy was shocked, but at the same time wasn't surprised that her friends had neglected to tell her this. She simply sighed, smiled, and embraced Ellie tightly.

"Has ace been taking notes on what I've missed in class?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Of course she has, why wouldn't she?" Ellie asked giggling.

"Fair enough, give my regards to everyone for me Ellie." Dorothy said.

"Why, you'll be back tomorrow." Ellie said.

"I know but you're bound to be asked a lot of questions and it's not even mid-day yet so you have time to go to school." Dorothy said smiling.

Ellie said nothing, she simply smiled and nodded. She then turned to her sister who smiled and waved her wand over Ellie causing her to vanish.

"Well Dorothy, one more day, how do you want to spend it?" Alex asked curiously.

Well what a chapter. One more chapter after this, it's an epilogue and it's got a musical number.
