LLL- New Chappie. Happy. Pappy. in the trappy. Oh Snappy! Kilt it!

Eren - You're so lame.

LLL- What! You think you can do better?!

Eren - Well duh. Check this *ehem* SEID IHR DAS ESSEN NEIN WIR DER JAGER!

LLL- ... Ok you win. I don't own AOT/SNK

Levi speed walks down the path and through the district. Armin is stumbling behind him.

"L-Levi. Wait!" Armin yanks his arm away. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to go talk with Ymir."

"I know, but why... why with me?"

Levi looks directly into Armin's blue eyes. "Because you're the only person I can trust right now." Armin was not expecting this statement and is lost in what he should say. Levi doesn't even give him time to think. "C'mon. Lets go. We've got things to do." Armin follows behind him, working in his mind what he should say next.

Levi takes them to a shed to first equip them with 3DMG.

"What's this for?" Armin asks.

"Just in case. I don't know anything about these Shifters and I don't want any surprises."

Armin shrugs his shoulders. "Fair enough argument." Again, they take off. It isn't long before Levi stops walking. His back is facing Armin being that he is in front. Armin clears his throat. "Uhm... Levi. Is something wrong?"

"I don't know where I'm going."

"Oh. Right! I forgot!" That being said, he jogs ahead of Levi and leads the way. The two enter the prison five minutes later. Ymir appears to be in pretty well condition. She looks up at the two and grunts.

"Hmph. How'd your little showdown go?"

Levi's eyes narrow, not liking her tone of voice. But she seems to have said something important. "What?"

"Who kicked who's ass. You or Mikasa?"

"You know about that!? How can someone who is a prisoner know that?"

"You had the argument that led to the fight right in front of me, Lance."

"What was the fight about."

"WHOA! Ymir no!" Armin steps in front of Levi. Levi grabs the frail boy's arm and twists it behind his back. Armin wails in pain.

"Stay out of this Armin."

"But Levi..."

"I said stay out of it!"

Levi looks back at Ymir and she has a knowing grin on her face. "So you don't remember what happened?"

"Tell me. What was the argument about? What led to the fight?"

"I'll tell you, but only if you promise to release me from this prison." Her voice is low and daring.

Armin twists uncomfortably. "Levi don't!"

The captain pushes Armin away and he falls the ground. Levi reaches to his side and pulls out a knife. In seconds he is upon her, the knife pressed against her throat. "I don't know if you knew who I was before now but I'm pretty sure I haven't changed much." His voice is a deathly whisper. "If any negotiations are made they will be on my terms. You tell me or you die. I normally don't like killing but I'll make an exception for you."

Ymir is sweating now and her voice is shaking. "Since when do you have a problem with killing?"

"I don't like getting my hands dirty. Now enough with the small talk, tell me."

"It was over you and Mikasa's 'little flower'."

"What are you talking about?"

"First, what happened to you? Did you lose your memory or something?"

"Yes. I did."

Ymir laughs. "How?"

Levi pushes the blade closer to her neck, threatening a drop of blood. She grunts. Armin runs out of the prison. "I'm asking the questions. Hurry up and talk."

"I'll try to explain it slowly so you can understand. I feel like I'll enjoy watching the results of this. Eren is Mikasa's childhood friend. Eren saved her life and they grew up in the same household. She has a thing for him."

"I don't have time for long tales! What does this have to do with me?" Levi knows that soon, Armin will return with someone who can handle the situation better then Levi himself.

"You stole him from her."

"Huh.."

"You and Eren are lovers."

"What. You better not lie to me."

"What reason do I have to lie to you! Besides, the truth will make a more interesting show for me. Armin will be back with the others soon. You and Eren, the half titan, have been together for a couple weeks now and from what I've heard you two are very intimate." Levi opens his mouth but no words come out. Yes, Ymir is enjoying this. "Mikasa called you Eren's bitch and that sprouted the fight. Apparently you gave in to something Eren asked even though you weren't supposed to." The blade has lowered away from Ymir and Levi is looking at the ground. She tilts her head down, trying to get him to look at her. "You were in love and it distracted you obviously. You couldn't handle it. And everyone knows but you."

Levi can't grasp the thought. "In love?"

Footsteps sound behind them but it is clearly only one person and they are slow. Levi gradually turns his head to see Armin returning to the prison. "That's right," Armin approves. "You and Eren are a couple. A serious one. Or you were before your memory was screwed up that is. Eren really loves you."

The words ringing in Levi's ears don't sound right. None of this sounds real. Levi shakes the lingering pain in his head, only making it worse. "Where are the others? Didn't you leave to go get them. Didn't you go to tell them that they were in danger of me finding out?"

Armin walks up to Levi and drops to his knees so they are face to face. "That was my initial intention but I just couldn't. I've gained your trust and I can't just throw it away. It's strange. Before you lost your memory, I don't know if you had any trust in me. I don't want to ruin that now. It feels like rewriting history."

Levi gives him an expression full of respect before standing. "Thank you."

Armin stands next to him. Suddenly, Levi grabs his head, fighting back the pain in his cranium. Armin shoots him a curious glare. "Your head hurts..."

"Yeah. It happens occasionally."

"There's still something I don't understand. After Mikasa hit you, you made a comment about Eren and then you passed out. You woke up after that with no memory."

"What's so strange?"

"You didn't lose your memory until after you'd passed out. You were awake and talking normally a few minutes after the kick. I just don't understand why it happened like that. I wonder, if you had stayed awake longer, would your memory not have been lost."

"There's no point in figuring it out now."

"Maybe there is. It could have a solution to getting your memory back. Or at least make it easier to figure out."

"So what are you suggesting?"

"That you give me a little more time to figure it out."

"Ok." That being said, Levi looks down at Ymir. "Thank you. I'll reward for giving me the information since killing you would probably put me in a bind."

"You're going to let me go?"

"Keep dreaming." Levi turns and walks out, Armin at his heels.

"Where are we going?"

"To get that girl," Levi answers, "Christa."

"What! But the Military Police are..."

"We'll get around them," Levi interrupts. "Those idiots only stand around the front of the house anyway and I doubt they check the inside very often." Levi quickly leads Armin through the night and back to the little home that Christa is being kept in. The entire house, as Levi expected, is pitch black. He runs around the side, out of the sight of the soldiers and then around the back. There is a single window and it is on the second floor. Both Levi and Armin exchange uncertain glances.

"That's too high," Armin whispers. "Even if one of us gets on the other's shoulders, we wouldn't be tall enough."

"I guess we'll have to use the 3DMG," Levi suggests.

"No. It'd be too loud. The Military Police will hear it."

"We need to think of something then."

They stand in dark silence for a few minutes before Armin releases a light gasp. "I got it. I will go around and distract the soldiers. Count to 25 and then maneuver up to the window. Get out as quick as you can. When you are both out, come get me, but I'm giving you a five minute max."

"I'll be out in 4."

"Good. Ready?"

Levi nods and starts counting at 1. He and Armin are in hearing distance of the next number. Armin's voice disappears at 4.

*25 long seconds of darkness later*

There is a shrill yell. It sounds like Armin but kind of strange. Levi hears it in the distance and takes that as a sign that his counting was on point. He shoots the hooks of the gear into the side of the building and climbs up. The windows in these house sare usually easy to pry open, but luckily, this one is unlocked. Levi sticks his head in and sees a small loft. It is furnished with a table and a bed. Christa sits in the bed wearing a blue nightgown and a frightened expression.

When she recognizes Levi she takes a deep breath and relaxes. His knee is rested on the window seal and only half of his body is inside of the house. "Armin is outside creating a diversion. We need to go now." She nods and runs to him. He wraps his arm around her as firmly as he can get it. "Hold on."

She clinches on to him and he leaps out of the window, the ropes to the gear giving a dangerous recoil. Luckily the two land safety on the ground. Levi unhooks from the building and grabs Christa's wrist, pulling her. "Let's go." She rushes behind him and they cross four houses over. When they are a safe distance she looks back at him. "Can I trust you to stay here for 30 seconds? If anything happens, scream." She nods.

That being said, he stands up and straightens his clothes. Diligently, he walks over to the front door of the building he'd just left. There, he sees Armin on the ground and the two Military Police kneeling down next to him. Armin's shirt is slightly unbuttoned, his hair is messy and he has a strange look on his face. The expressions of the soldiers are a bit worse, appearing thirsty and anxious.

"Excuse me," Levi calls. They look over at him, one of them quickly letting go of Armin's shoulder. "Is there a problem here?"

"A-ahh, it seems as though one of your Regiment men have become a little tipsy. We were just about to help him."

"Oh were you?" Levi looks at each of the men whose faces are red. Damn perverts. "Well I'll take it from here. Lets go Armin." Levi bends down and wraps his arm around the smaller male, hoisting him up. Slowly, they tread away from the Military Police. When they are out of eye shot Armin straightens up and fixes his clothes. Eventually they meet back up with Christa. "So what did you do to distract them?" Levi asks.

"Just save me the embarrassment, please."

Levi huffs a laugh and Armin's eyes widen. It's the first time he's even seen the captain even hint a smile. "Fine. You don't have to tell me, but great plan. Top 10 in your class you say?"

"Yep." Armin's pride shoots sky high. Together they walk back to the prison.

When they arrive Christa hesitates at the steps. "She's in here?"

"Yep," Levi assures.

Christa takes a deep breath and continues down into the underground room. They enter and Ymir looks up. Hange is leaning against the wall now and smiles when seeing Levi. A gasp escapes Ymir's throat when she sees Christa. She doesn't even have time to speak before the tiny blond girl collapses on top of her into a hug.

Hange shoots Levi a confused glance but he ignores her.

(N/A:Yumikuri is canon)

"Chri-Christa!"

"Ymir, you're ok. They didn't hurt you."

Tears roll down her face and she looks into Ymir's eyes. A righteousness fills Levi as he knows he's done the right thing by bringing her as she'd asked. This feeling is paused when the two females exchange a kiss. It is as if it happens in slow motion. Although just a peck, it catches the other three off guard.

Christa wraps her arms around Ymir's neck. "I was so worried about you." The chains enable Ymir to really move but it doesn't seem to be affecting either one of them.

"Me?! You're the one in danger. Are they protecting you properly?"

"They are keeping me in a house and not letting me go anywhere without a guard."

"Good!"

"Good?" Christa's face becomes angry and she releases Ymir. "What do you mean good? I feel like a prisoner."

"They are heeding my warning. It's dangerous out there."

"Why? Who is after me?"

Ymir hesitates. "I don't know exactly but don't worry. Soon I'll be out of here and I'll protect you. We'll make sure they don't find us..."

"You're not getting out of here any time soon," Levi assures her.

Christa turns around. "Levi, can't you let her go?"

"Sorry, that's out of my jurisdiction. I don't have enough memory to tell if we can trust her."

"You don't have enough what?"

"It's a long story. I just can't trust her, ok?"

Ymir grunts. "Pfft, you can't trust the person who just let you know more about yourself then the people you're taking orders from."

"Forgive me if you being in handcuffs to begin with threw off my judgement," Levi hisses. He then turns to Christa. "We need to leave. They can't notice that you're gone."

"A few more minutes. Please!"

Levi sighs brashly with annoyance. Patiently, he leans against the wall while the two embrace one another. "Christa," Ymir breaths. "This could be the last time I feel your arms around me."

"Don't say that!"

"There's no point in sugar coating things. In case this is our last time together I want you to know that I love you."

Christa breaks into tears again. "I love you too and this won't be our last time together. I promise on my life that it won't."

"Please don't say that."

Levi feels something form in the pit of his stomach and his heart lurches. A warmth that he can't explain fills him and he becomes uncomfortable. "Hey Levi," Armin calls. This snags the captains attention from his own feelings.

"Huh?"

"About your memory..." Armin is taking advantage of the three distracted females. Hange is quit into their scene. "I don't think it'll come back with anything like medicine or treatment. It's all on you. The fact that your memory went away after you'd passed out means that it's more mental. You must have had a lot of stress on you at the time about something."

"What are you saying?"

"If you really want your memory back you need to find a way to trigger it back. Through action or meditation or something. Medical treatments won't do much in this case."

Levi thinks about this. "Thanks Armin." At that, he runs towards the steps.

"Wait! Where are you going?! What about Christa!?"

"I'll handle it later, just keep her hidden for a while. I'll be back." That being said, he runs out and through the district. It isn't long before he reaches the house and bursts through the doors. Jean is sitting at the table with Mikasa. Levi barely acknowledges them. "Where is Eren?"

Jean raises an eyebrow, curious of his anxiousness. "Upstairs in his..."

Before even letting him finish Levi is up the stairs. He bursts into Eren's room. It is dark and Eren is leaning against the window, looking out. His face is unreadable when Levi comes in. The captain stands there for a few seconds in complete silence.

Eren takes the initiative to speak first. "Uhm... What is..." In seconds of the sentence, Levi slams the door and is instantly upon Eren. He reaches up and grabs Eren's hair in one hand, putting their heads close. He then grabs Eren's wrist with the other hand and pushes him against the wall. In a rush, Levi crushes their lips together. The kiss is rough and Eren accepts it greedily, moaning under Levi's weight.

That's when the shorter male pulls out and turns around. Eren is panting from the sudden adrenaline and a tear rolls down his face. "Levi... your memory.."

"No. It's not back."

This statement surprises Eren. "Then why?"

"I heard about you- about us. And I was hoping that doing that would bring my memory back. I thought it would bring something back, but I got nothing. I can't fathom being in love with you. Why would I be in love with you."

ouch.

Eren walks over to him and wraps his arms around Levi. The captain flinches and attempts to pull out of the hold but Eren is clinching tighter than he expected. Suddenly, Eren's voice is reduced to a whisper. "You didn't do it right. There was no love in your actions." Eren's hand slides up Levi's shirt and it takes all of Levi's self control not to rip Eren's arm off. "If you want, I can do it. I can try to help you get your memory back. I can show you what we used to do."

"I don't know if I can..."

"You've done it before and so well."

"How do I know you aren't lying to me like Erwin?"

"Because..." Eren pauses, letting the air between them hang lightly. Levi can hear the steady beat of Eren's heart and Eren feels his body loosen up, some tension leaving him. "I wouldn't lie to you."

Levi pulls away from him, not liking the way his own body feels. He turns so that he is facing Eren. "Really? You've been lying to me this entire time. If we are lovers, why wasn't it you who was the one to tell me? Why did I find out through someone who is on death row?"

"Death...? Who told you?"

"It wasn't you! Now answer my question."

"You're going through a lot. I didn't want to put too much on you. I didn't lie. I just didn't tell the full truth." He notices only after saying it that this doesn't sound any better.

Levi steps up daringly. "So you think I'm weak!"

"What? No... I know you limits and I don't want you to crack."

"I don't have limits." He swivels back around, not wanting Eren to catch any type of emotion. "I'm the worlds strongest soldier."

This makes Eren curious. He squints his eyes at this. The Levi he knew couldn't stand hearing someone else say those words, lead alone say them himself. What else in his memory is missing? "Lance or not, you're human and all humans have limits."

Eren's green eyes practically sparkle as he curiously looks into the air. Levi walks forward two steps and takes Eren's face in his hand. Stunned by this, Eren's eyes widen. He leans in slowly and Levi clinches his eyes closed tightly, trying not to notice what's about to happen. He feels Eren's soft lips on his, the warmth overwhelming him. It's when Eren slides his tongue past his lips that Levi snaps.

He backs up a few paces and ends Eren's pleasure. "No... I don't think I can sit here and let you do that without killing you."

"You started it! And I told you, you've done it before so I know you can do it now."

Eren reaches for him but Levi takes a step back. "Idiot, don't you get it? I don't love you. I did before. Maybe that's why I was able to but now I don't. It's different."

Eren's arm drops limply to his side as his heart races to realization. "You're right. You don't love me anymore and there's nothing I can do about it."

"Yes there is." Levi says with determination. "We just need to get my memory back."

"How do we do that?"

"I don't know, but with the help of Armin I think we can find out."

"Why Armin?"

"He's smarter then you."

Eren feels a stab in his heart, but it's minor. "Why don't we just start off small?"

"How do you suggest we do that?"

"Sleep with me."

"How is that small!?"

"Just cuddling. Nothing more."

Levi considers this and looks over to Eren's bed. "Fine, but we sleep in my bed. I can only imagine the dust mites floating around in your mattress."

"Deal."

Levi walks to the door. "I'm going to shower first."

"We've showered together too! If you want, we can..."

"Don't push your luck. I'm trying to get my memory back, not refall in love so stop trying. That's not the plan."

"Yes sir." Eren straightens up and Levi leaves out of the room. Eren smiles at their new situation. "We'll see about that."

LLL- I can/might do a chapter about what Armin did in those 4 minutes to distract the Military Police but it'll be under the "Painful Connection" rated M story.

The next chapter, I have decided, will be "Returning Memory" full of methods the group tries to get Levi's memory back... Now I just need to think of methods that they could try. Thank You for reading.

I have multiple other stories. I only update in relevance to importance. So if this story has more follows and demand, I'll update it first and more frequently. If it doesn't have much demand I'll update other things that appear to be gaining more interest. Just a note to how I do things.
