Chapter 5

Chuck looked at Blair. His first concern was always her. She was frozen and white as a ghost. She acted as if Jack had a gun on them and then Jack spoke again.

"What's the matter princess?" Jack addressed Blair with a cynical grin.

He started to walk towards her, but Chuck would not allow it. Chuck moved in front of her to shield her from his psychotic uncle, who apparently had nothing better to do than rub it in Chuck's face that he had had Blair that night all to himself. The worst part of everything was that Chuck agreed to it. Chuck stomach tighten and he balled his fists.

"What are you doing here Jack?" Chuck spoke calmly but he was anything but calm. His face was hot and he had sweat dripping down his forehead. He was trying to keep every emotion he had inside of him. He knew his uncle could smell fear and the last thing he wanted was for Jack to be satisfied.

"I just came to check up on my girl here." Jack gestured towards Blair who was still in the same position.

"She is not your girl, you bastard. You need to leave." Chuck spoke quietly but harshly.

"Leave?" Jack smirked. "But I thought I was here for story time."

Blair swallowed and Jack could see there were tears forming in her eyes.

"Wasn't Blair just about to tell you about our magical evening together?"

Chuck shifted a bit. He wiped his brow. "Leave now!" He spoke harshly again this time louder.

"Blair doesn't want me to go do you sweet heart?" He asked her trying once again to get close to her but Chuck would not allow it. Anywhere Jack moved Chuck moved right in front of him.

Jack came up to Chuck close to whisper in his ear. "What's the matter Nephew? Are you jealous that your girl had my cock in her mouth? She really was willing to do whatever it took to get you your hotel back, such a good well behaved pet. And when I had her on her back, I had my way with your pet over and over and over again."

Chuck grabbed his uncle and threw him on the floor. He couldn't see anything. The rage made Chuck only see black and then came the punches. He felt himself punch his uncle about 3 times before he felt a set of warm hands pulling on his back. He knew those hands. Chuck pulled back and everything slowly started coming back into focus. He saw his uncle lying on the floor bruised and bloody. Jack sat up and pulled out his handkerchief to wipe the blood off of his face. Chuck turned around and saw a set of tearful brown eyes staring at him. He grabbed her face and wiped a tear away with his hand. Chuck felt sick inside with anger, disgust and with guilt.

"You'll be hearing from my lawyer Nephew." Jack shouted at him. "This is far from over." Jack mumbled to himself as he walked to the elevator and out of the Waldorf penthouse. Almost like he was surprised that Chuck would start beating him up.

Chuck made his way to the couch and sat down. Blair sat on the chair across from him. They were both silent for a good while till Chuck finally decided to speak.

"Is what Jack has been saying true Blair? You did more than just sleep with him?"

Blair bit her lip before speaking

"You don't understand. You weren't there." Blair told him in a defensive tone.

"So you didn't suck his cock?" Chuck asked her trying not to sound angry or jealous but of course it came out that way. He was jealous. He was so jealous he was almost throwing up thinking about it.

Blair looked down. Her tears fell onto her lap.

"I already feel completely ashamed of everything that happened that night Chuck. I don't need you making me repeat things."

"So you did?" Chuck asked again still stuck on the fact that Blair would perform favors for his uncle to get his hotel back. But then he saw her wrists. It would be barely noticeable if he wasn't paying attention but they were bruised.

"Did Jack do something to your wrists?" Chuck asked with urgency. He came over to her and grabbed her wrists to have a closer look. Blair pulled her arms away from him and shoved her hands into her pockets.

"You let him tie you up?" Chuck asked her in disbelief.

"Let him?" Blair spit out with anger and pain!

"You need to leave Chuck. Before I give bruises to you!" Blair said calmly but with anger in her voice.

"I just want to know why you didn't just do as little as possible with him Blair?" he spat. 'It looks to me that you gave him a regular night at the whore house."

Chuck didn't even have a chance to blink before Blair's hand came up and slapped him hard across the face.

"YOU DID THIS!" Blair shouted at him. "HOW DARE YOU CALL ME A WHORE? YOU GAVE ME TO HIM. GET OUT!" Blair pushed him hard toward the door.

Chuck looked surprised but he stayed put after the push. He wouldn't leave. He felt conflicted. On one hand he felt betrayed by Blair. On the other hand he knew it was partly his fault. And he did want to know about what happened that night. Chuck wasn't sure what he was expecting happened, but maybe finding out was too much for him.

"Leave." Blair said again.

"How did you get the bruises Blair?" Chuck asked her instantly.

"You already said it. He tied me up. I'm a whore. Now leave." She was too tired to argue with him anymore. She was also still in shock after seeing Jack and a little fearful that he would be back after Chuck left.

"So you let him tie you up that tight…so tight that it left those kinds of bruises?" Chuck continued badgering her.

Blair was silent for a minute before she spoke again.

She took a deep breath. "You keep saying I let him.Did you ever think for a second that may be he just did that to me… without my permission?"

Chucks throat dried up and his face turned to stone.

Blair sat down on the couch and then continued. "You think I'm the master mind of all of this, like I can stop him if he wants to do something to me?"

"Blair, why didn't you call the police, or at least tell me?" Chuck asked her. "He raped you Blair."

"He didn't. I let him. I wanted you to have the hotel and he said that was the only way. I didn't have to go up there. I went up there on my own. You said so yourself." She paused for a minute. "Then he told me you knew all about his plans to spend the night with me…so can you at least see why I feel just as betrayed as you feel right now." more tears fell from her face but she was looking in the other direction from him now.

Chuck just stood there in the penthouse dumbfounded. He wasn't sure either of them was to blame completely for what happened that night. But he was sure of one thing. He wanted to kill Jack Bass.

Chuck had to return to the Empire that night to do some work. All of the drama with Blair and Jack was putting him behind. Before he left the Waldorf penthouse he made sure he had extra security around her building so there would be no unexpected visits from Jack. Chuck sat in his penthouse at the empire with paper work for the hotel spread out all over the coffee table. He had a glass of scotch on the end table next to him. He picked it up and took a sip. He shifted in his seat and took a look at the clock. It had only been a couple of hours since he left Blair's and he was still really flustered. He could barely concentrate on his paper work. He picked up his phone to text Serena.

He wrote: "Hey I know you and Nate are probably still doing nasty naughty things to each other but it would be nice…I would like it if you and Blair could hang out tonight. She misses you."

Chuck sent the text and waited. He was very nervous about Blair being alone after the visit from his Uncle, but Blair had asked Chuck to leave several times. He was trying to respect her wishes, even though his first instinct was to never let her out of his sight and to follow her around like a body guard. He would be texting her to ask her what she was doing but her phone was still broken.

Serena text Chuck back pretty quickly.

"Nate is at some kind of event with his grandfather and apparently it's just for guys. I was headed over to Blair's anyway. TTYL –S "

Well that was easy. Chuck Thought to himself as he took a deep breath and relaxed a bit. He wanted to text Serena and tell her to report on how Blair was doing when she got there, but he felt like that would probably be too much. Surely if Serena noticed anything she'd let Chuck know about it.

Blair was in her bedroom on top of her bedspread painting her nails when Serena walked into her room and bounced onto her bed. Blair spilled a little nail polish on her bedspread and quickly took a remover wipe to clean it up. Not at all surprised that her friend, the ball of sunshine that she was didn't bother to notice what she was doing.

"Hey B!" Serena exclaimed giving her a half hug.

"What is Nate busy tonight? So you remembered I was still alive." Blair spat out.

Serena paused for a second at her comment but decided not to get upset about it. She knew Blair was going through something even though Blair wouldn't say what it was. Serena knew her friend needed her.

"Chuck text me…." Serena told her immediately regretting the sentence. What if Chuck didn't want her to tell Blair that…Whoops. Serena thought before she continued. "He said you missed me."

Blair sighed and got off of her bed to put the nail polish back in her vanity drawer. Serena watched her moved. She looked a lot thinner than usual and tired.

"Blair please don't take this the wrong way but when was the last time you slept…or ate anything."

Serena's stomach tightened waiting for her to reply. She knew eating was a touchy subject for Blair because she used to suffer from bulimia and she would go days without eating. Then when she did finally eat she would over eat and throw everything up.

Blair rolled her eyes. "Breakfast, Serena. I grabbed something on the way out of the Vanderbilt house."

"You mean when you left at four in the morning?" Serena asked her. "And grabbing something to eat doesn't mean eating it."

"So because you didn't see me eat I didn't eat?" Blair snapped at her.

Serena sighed. "No Blair….I was just… do you want to order something with me to eat. Most places don't close for another hour."

"That's ok Dorota made me dinner." Blair told her.

"I thought you said you hadn't eaten since breakfast." Serena replied.

Blair looked a little frazzled but the look passed quickly. "I haven't. Dorota left it in the fridge and she wants me to use that thing over the stove to heat it up when I get hungry.

"You mean the microwave?" Serena asked Blair in disbelief.

"Yes." Blair replied tying to sound as convincing as possible.

"Blair you don't eat reheated food."

"How do you know I don't?" Blair asked her.

"Because, I know you." Serena answered.

Blair didn't really have much to say after that. She moved back to her bed and grabbed a book.

"I'm ordering food!" Serena exclaimed taking out her phone.

"And I'm going to watch you eat it."

Blair scowled at her friend.

"And after that I'll finish painting your nails."

Blair looked at her hands and realized she only painted the nails on her left hand. She was actually pretty surprised that Serena noticed this before she did.

20 minutes later there was a knock at Blair's door.

"Oh good. FOOD!" Serena squealed with excitement.

Blair opened the door and there stood the night maid but she wasn't holding a bag of food in her hands. She was holding a vase with a lovely flower arrangement.

"This came for you Miss Blair."

Blair throat began to swell. "Thank you." Blair whispered.

"I'll let you know when your food arrives, Miss Serena" the maid said before closing the door.

Serena wasn't really thinking about food now. She was too occupied with her best friend who stood there frozen with a vase of flowers.

Serena walked over to her and looked over her shoulder.

"What is it Blair. Are they from Chuck?" she asked.

Blair quickly grabbed the note attached to the flowers and shoved it into her pocket.

"No." She said before tossing the whole thing, vase and all into the waste basket.

Serena just stood there and looked at the flowers confused.

Blair walked over to her vanity facing away from Serena and pulled out the note card from her pocket. She desperately wanted it to be from Chuck, but she knew better.

She opened it and the card read:

Meet me in the Blue room at the Anderson Gala. And come alone and tell no one. That is if you want C to keep his precious hotel. I look forward to seeing you pet.

- Love, J

Blair felt like she was about to throw up. She quickly put the note in her vanity drawer.

"You know what Serena." Blair exclaimed turning around to face her. "I am hungry, really hungry. I may eat all of the food."
