LLL- I really do like writing this fic. I would've given up on it if I didn't. Writing is my passion. The previous chapter was hard because I was busy and spent a span of 7 days writing it when normally I only take about 3 hours. Anyway, enjoy and review. He rolls over on the uncomfortable stuffed fabric. That's when he notices the extra room and sits up with a start. Eren isn't next to him. He looks around the room and sees Eren's shirt and shoes are in the floor. He keeps himself calm with simple thoughts like, 'he went to the bathroom' or 'he needed some fresh air'.

Just as his breathing calms a loud crash sounds from outside. Levi rolls his eyes. "What the hell is going on?" He leaps out of the bed, slides on his boots, 3DMG and runs out of the building. He is met with the immediate sight of the head of a titan flying through the air.

Soleanna, Armin, Ymir, Christa and Jean stand on the side of the building. "Good," Erwin mumbles. "You're awake."

"What the hell do you mean, 'you're awake'. Why didn't someone wake me up?"

"It wasn't priority."

Levi is about to punch him in the face but another titan limb flies through the air and distracts him. "What is going on?"

"Titan's are in the area. Eren is taking care of them."

Levi looks down at Soleanna. "I thought you said we wouldn't attract any titans."

"That was the case," the younger girl growls, "but the idiot turned into a titan first. People who turn into titans attract titans more then humans do!"

"Why did he change?"

"We don't know. But there's no point in trying to get him to change back now."

Levi flies off on his 3DMG and swings to the highest and nearest rooftop. He sees Eren swinging at 3 variant titans. His roar cuts through the entire city, shaking buildings. Levi swings to Eren and lands on his shoulder. He places his hand on Eren's ear. "Hey big guy. Why are you so big so early in the morning? Are you mad I left you hanging last night?"

"Don't!" Before he knows it, Levi is knocked off of the shifter's shoulder. Just as he falls he sees Eren's hand swatting to hit him. He lands viciously on a rooftop a safe distance from all of the titans. Next to him is Mikasa, the person who saved him. "He's not himself!"

"What do you mean?"

"It's like when he turned into a titan the first time. He isn't aware of his actions. He will hit and kill anything. He doesn't recognize us."

"Why? Why is he like this?"

"Hell if I know! But if I had to take a guess I'd say it were the herb. He's even about 5 meters taller then he normally is."

Levi stares at Eren. "What do we do?"

"I don't know." Mikasa sighs. "It looks like he took out all of the titans. What's next?" Another loud roar pierces their ears and they are joined by Erwin.

"What's he looking like?"

Eren bends to the ground, behind the buildings and out of the sight of the others. He roars again and titan steam fills the air surrounding him.

"He's changing back!" Levi launches for him.

"Levi wait!" Erwin is on his tail. When he reaches the steam Eren starts to stand and everyone sees that he hasn't changed back into a human. He now towers well above the building they are standing on.

"Fuck." Erwin grabs Levi's wrist and they swing away before Eren can attack. They go back to the group who are now on a different rooftop.

Soleanna is in awe. "I've never seen a titan that tall since Shiganshina. He's got to be at least 30 meters."

"What is happening to him!?" Levi grunts, looking at Eren as his body becomes more disproportionate.

They watch Eren as he turns around and begins walking. "No," Mikasa breaths, "he's going towards the district! He's going to destroy the wall!"

Ymir pulls out her knives. "We need to stop him."

"You can't," Mikasa growls, "every time you attack him, his skin hardens."

"Guess I'll have to take a different approach." Ymir puts her thumb to her teeth, but Levi stops her.

"Don't. Your titan form isn't a match for that."

"So what do you expect we do captain. He's getting closer to the wall."

"We won't make it before he breaches it no matter how slow the big idiot is... just keep Christa safe." With that he swings off.

"Wait where are you going!"

Levi races to leave the Trost district. When he gets to the top of the wall he is met with an abundance of Military Police who clearly heard the commotion. People have already begun to evacuate who are on the other side of the wall and they are arming canons. That shit won't work. Although soldiers attempt to stop him, he pushes through them and swings through the houses. His mind has done a complete 180 from last night. This isn't the time to think of himself. It's like Mikasa said, Eren will always be in danger. Levi just needs to be there for him.

As he flies past buildings, he catches sight of Hange running and quickly swings backwards. He lands in front of her and pays little attention to the dark rings around her eyes. "I assume the big guy has finally lost it." She hands him 3 viles. "This is all I could get out of that flower."

"Ok. Thank You." Just as Levi is about to take off again Hange yells to him.

"The Military Police took Reiner and Bertholdt! Reiner wasn't in good shape. Be ready for hell with idiots."

Levi comes to a complete stop, slowly turning to her. "What..." Just as that word escapes his mouth there is a huge crash from behind him. He turns and sees dirt and debris fly into the air. Out of it emerges a 35 foot armored titan. "Shit." Another crash sounds behind Hange annnnnnd the wall is gone with Eren in the whole. "SHIT!" Screams of people cut through the air and many of them run past Levi and Hange.

"This is bad but on the bright side these two don't eat people."

"They still kill people, four eyes. Let's go."

Levi takes to the skies with his 3DMG and Hange follows close behind. "Where are we going?!"

"I see an armored titan, not a colassal. We've still got help."

Levi goes to the building that Reiner smashed out of to see many dead Military Police and others injured. He grabs one by the collar that's missing an arm. "Where did the other Shifter go?"

The man groans against the pain. "Egh, there. He ran that way."

Levi takes off without hesitation. "Long legs couldn't have gotten far." He finds him sooner then expected. Bertholdt is standing in an alley watching Reiner rampage and destroy... everything. "You there!" He turns around, his expression full of concern. "If you make a move I'll cut off your head."

"What he means to say," Hange adds, "is we need your help."

"My help...?"

"Yeah. There are two raging titans out there. You are a bigger titan. We have the antidote but we need to be able to take them down first."

"You want me to turn into a titan? You know that will destroy everything here, right?"

Levi grunts. "Dammit, do you want your friend to die! We have what can make him better."

"W-what do you care?" Bertholdt, crazy large titan still shy as a virgin princess and it annoys the hell out of Levi.

"You're right. I don't. So how about this. If you can keep Eren still for 15 seconds, I will save your walking shield over there and let you both go. Refuse and I kill you on the spot."

Bertoldt is confused by these terms and looks off at Reiner. "Why are you helping us?"

"I'm not, I thought I made this clear. This is payment for your life."

Bertoldt gives an understanding smile. "I guess I don't have much of a choice then. I'm in, but I can't promise many people won't die."

"I wasn't counting on it. We're going to Eren. It's up to you if you want to restrain Reiner too. We will let off a flare when we're ready for you so pay attention and don't get killed."

With that, Levi takes off, in route for Eren. "Hange, go get a flare and meet me at the merchant commerce building."

"Aye aye sir." She breaks away from him. Levi sends his attention back to his lover who stands over the town taking step by step to get to Reiner. Reiner is also making progress. On the bright side they are both slow. It seems Reiner has also grown a bit since they last saw him, 5 maybe 10 meters, but no where near Eren's height. Reiner stops and Levi raises his eyebrows. He stops swinging and stands on a building, cautious not to get to close. The Armored Titan crouches slightly, facing Eren. He then hits a mad dash sprint, crashing through every building in his wake.

"No. If Eren takes that hit directly..."

Eren squats as well. When Reiner is at the perfect distance the titan leaps into the air, well over Reiner's head and he runs under, missing an attack. Levi stands, impressed. He didn't expect Eren to have that kind of energy in his state. When he lands he rocks the entire town, causing the foundation of buildings on the north side to fail. That's when Levi notices that Eren's body structure has changed. His muscle has increased and his teeth are larger. There is a slight red glisten in the sun light on his body. Levi can't get a good view of it from where they stand. Then steam rises. Levi's heart races at the sight.

Hange lands next to him. "I got the flare. Sorry it took so long. Reiner destroyed more important things then I'd hoped. I can't wait til he gets back to normal so I can ask him questions!" Hange sees Levi's face and then looks over at Eren who is ready to fight.

"Why... why is there blood coming from his skin. That's not right."

"Well, technically none of this is right." When Levi twitches Hange changes her words. "His body is probably breaking down. It can't withstand this type of exertion and energy. It's almost like the herb has turned his blood into a poison for his own body... if that makes any sense."

Levi takes a deep breath. Farlan comes to his mind. Isabel. Petra. Oluo. Eld. Mike. So much death. But this is something different. Something he won't be able to survive. He snatches the flare from Hange and flies off. He goes at a speed she doesn't want to match. On top of that, he's going to the heart of the fight. Reiner has engaged Eren, punching him in the stomach. Eren falls to the ground but returns the favor with a full powered blow to the face. Reiner crsshes into buildings.

Just as Eren is ready to deliver a fatal kick, something fires and hits him in the back. Canons on the wall are aimed and firing at him. Levi becomes torn. There are a number of strategies he could take in this situation and he doesn't want to regret his decision. He won't. Not now, not ever.

He fires the flare. It spreads green clouds through the sky. In the blink of an eye, literally, a 60 foot titan taller than the walls stands in the middle of the town. The canons have stopped in shock, but this occurrence has done nothing but made the others more aware.

Reiner dashes around Bertoldt and Eren goes between his legs. Bertoldt is bigger then them but so damn slow! Levi swings closer, but not enough to be attacked. Eren swings off of Bertoldt's ankle and bites off his achilles tendon. Bertoldt falls to one knee. Or if better described, crushes three buildings with his fucking shin!

"This isn't working."

Levi swings closer into the action, only 2 buildings from where Bertoldt's knee landed. He takes a deep breath, understanding the risk he's taking. There are many standing building left in this area so his 3DMG won't be of much use to him. Levi raises the flare and shoots off the second of the 3 in the barrel. It flies into the air and, as he hoped, draws the attention of the two titans.

They make a mad dash for him initially, but they catch sight at one another and crash together, rolling on yet more bricks and maybe people. Levi swings on what he can and then notices a new canvas. He shoots his hook into Bertoldt's leg. It is almost as if the huge fleshy beast didn't feel a thing. Levi continues up the body until he reaches the shoulder. Although it didn't appear so, Bertoldt was fully aware of Levi's ascent. Levi lands on the giant's shoulder and overlooks the district. The southside is basically a pile of crumbs at this point. He runs to his ear.

"I need them pinned down!? Can you do that without killing them!?"

"RRrrrrrrrr!"

"Alright long legs, I'll take that as a yes."

"RRRRRR!"

"What, you don't like that nickname?"

"Rrr."

"Well, look who's all big and bad now that his titan pants are on. Now lets get to work."

While Reiner and Eren are distracted with each other, Bertoldt snatches the opportunity and smashes them under his hands. "Perfect, keep them there!" Levi slides down Bertoldt's arm. He goes to Eren first. The large titan is fighting, steam steady covering him as blood seeps through his skin.

"Eren! Can you hear me!?"

Eren releases a monster's roar. Suddenly Mikasa appears next to Levi. His eyebrows furrow and he tries not to get side tracked, pulling the medicine out of his pocket. "What are you doing here?"

"Helping."

"You're in the way!" Levi raises the needle. "I'll make you better Eren." He goes to shove it into Eren's face but it hardens like concrete, breaking the needle. "FUCK!"

"You'll have to get it through his mouth."

Levi exhales deeply. "I don't think it'll work that way. It isn't an oral drug."

"Do we have a choice?"

"Yeah," he pauses, trying to catch his breath. "Mikasa, you know that if this doesn't work, we have to kill Eren."

"What! What the hell are you talking about!"

"I have to make a decision that I won't regret."

"But why kill him, he'll die anyway. You can't think ...!"

"Listen! We don't know when he'll die. We can't have him crashing through districts killing everyone. We need to do something about it. We need to take responsibility as soldiers of the scouting regiment."

"Fuck your responsibility!"

"RRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

There is a jerk at Bertoldt's hand and they look down, watching the other two struggle. Out of all of his body, the Collasal Titan's arms are the smallest and weakest. He won't be able to hold them much longer. Levi breaks the glass of the needle with his hands and shoves it in the spaces of Eren's mouth. The titan thrashes and squirms. The glass is cutting his mouth as it did Levi's hand.

"Get out of here," he says to Mikasa before swinging away. He then swings to Reiner and realizes this will be a much more difficult task. His mouth is fucking sealed shut. Where is there an open space!? Then he sees it and a smile slips. "I want to say sorry for causing you so much pain since this will hurt a lot. But instead I'll say, this is for what you did to Wall Maria." Levi shoves the needle directly into Reiner's beady little eye and the titan screaches. "Now you open your mouth. Oh, and you might be blind in your left eye forever."

Bertoldt roars above Levi and he lifts his hand. Levi is only given a slight warning before being able to jump off and swing back to Eren. Eren lays on the ground, his skin literally melting away from his body. Levi walks on top of his chest and to his face. Eren's eyes are open but he isn't responsive. Levi kneels and places his hand on Eren's chin, a little hope filling him. "You'll be back to normal soon."

"Levi!" The scream comes from a good distance away and he isn't swift enough to catch it. Everything happens too fast. The last thing he sees is Eren's huge titan hand flying towards him. The last thing he hears are the cracking of various bones. His last feeling is the breaking of his heart. And his last thought. 'I couldn't save him.'
