Today was appose to be one of the most amazing days of the band's life... But instead, it was perfect to everyone except me. I woke up around my usual time and got ready for practice like any other summer Friday. I grabbed my bass and phone before I headed out for Core's garage. He gave me a text just seconds before telling me that he wanted me to meet someone. I just hopped this wasn't like those stories online when the guy the girl has a crush on gets a girlfriend leaving the girl heart broken and in sorrow over the boy's new found love for some random girl... Hopefully I didn't jinx my self either. Sadly I did. I walked up to my favorite place in the world right before it turned into my least favorite place. My heart decided to break loudly in my chest as I seen Core, my best friend and crush sense I was seven Core, kissing some blonde girl in his garage. I walked backwards with tears walled up in my eyes. "N-No. This can't be happening." Right then Core noticed that I was there. "Hey Lanes! This is Kendall, my girlfriend." I guess then he noticed that I was about to cry. "Lanes? Are you okay?" I didn't listen to him. I just ran down the block back to my house as he yelled out my name. "Lanes! Lanes, come back! LANES!" I didn't bother looking back though. I just kept running till I got to my house. I ran up to my front door, opened the door, and ran up to my room. I jumped onto my pink covered bed and started to cry my eyes out and into my pillow. Ever sense I known Core I had a crush on him. So many years of dealing with his ignorance and oblivious actions, gave me nothing set for a broken heart and puffy eyes. I stopped crying about ten minutes later. You might be wondering why my mom or dad haven't converted me yet in my time of ache right? Well, my dad died when I was eight and my mom is always away on business trips and because I'm 13, 'I'm not old enough to go with her'. Once I got off my bed I felt angry now and I grabbed out my lyric book. I had a crazy plan that might just work and I didn't need the bands help to put it into action. I started writing my feelings out on the pages. All I could write about was Core's oblivious ways. After twenty minutes I called up two kids that owed me a few and they agreed to help me out. This 'crazy' plan is going to work, and I know it.

After Lanes ran off I've been trying to get a hold of her. Calling her phone seventeen times a minute, texting her faster then Trina updates her blog, and emailing her more then Trina says 'Hunky Nick Mallory' in her life time... And we all know that's A LOT and I still don't know why she hasn't text,called, or emailed me back. I had a really bad feeling that it had to do with Kendall. I don't really like Kendall anyway, Trina forced me to date her because she's Nick Mallory's cousin thinking he might notice her more if I went out with her... And also she threatened to tell Laney I liked her. Yeah, I had a crush on her sense third grade, but she'll never know that. I don't want her to know because I'm afraid that it'll ruin our awesome band and friendship if she rejects me. I don't want to lose Lanes but it seems I already did huh? Kin and Kon gave me the idea not long ago to look for her at Mayor Mellow's Party, which I thought was a perfect idea, she never missed a chance to see a band's performance to help them out... Unless The Newmans were playing. I walked down town to the party to see a stage that was covered with curtains, many people, even The Newmans! But no Lanes anywhere. I hope I can find her.

I stood on stage with a green guitar in my hands while two kids named Dustin and Daniel we're at their instruments ready to play. I knew Core would be here most likely looking for Kendall or because he was dragged along with Trina. I walked up to the mic in a pair of black ripped jeans, a broken heart t-shirt, my make up fixed, and my combat boots. My outfit shown my emotions perfectly which kinda made the teens behind me freak out a little because they never seen me this way. I waited till the curtains were up to see Core. Why do I even keep calling him that anyway? After the curtains raised I seen Corey had a shocked and hurt expression on his face. It seems he noticed the hurt he had me go through. The odd part was, there was no Kendall or Trina in sight. Meaning he came by him self... Looking for me. "Hey everyone. I'm Laney Penn from Grojband. Those two are Dustin and Daniel Devon and they're helping me perform a spell song for an oblivious boy in my live. So Corey, you better listen good because this song tells how I feel."

I stood there shocked after Lanes sang... I didn't know that... How didn't I see that... FOR THE LOVE OF BOBBY BLUE I WAS BLIND FOR SO LONG! I ran right towards Lanes after she got off stage as she gave me a hurt stare. "What do you want Corey?" What? What happen to 'Core'? The nickname she had for me ever sense we were eight. "I'm sorry Lanes. I'm so sorry I haven't noticed. I'm sorry I put you through all that. I'm REALLY sorry I let Trina force me into dating Kendall. I'm-" Lanes then put a hand on my mouth to keep me from talking. "Did you just say that Trina FORCED you into dating that Kendall chick?" I nodded before I took her hand off my mouth. "After I seen how much pain it put you through I decided that what ever Trina was going to do wasn't worth loosing you Lanes." She gave me a soft smile. "Also, the reason why I went threw with it was because she was going to tell you something I didn't wanted you to know at the time. But I guess I have no right to keep it from you now huh?" She gave me a confused look as her gem green eyes sparkled with curiosity. I couldn't help my self from having the best minute of my live... I kissed her. Even after she sang a song about me, I was still surprised after she kissed back. "She was going top tell you about my crush on you sense third grade. I guess you're as oblivious as I am huh Lanes?" She rolled her eyes at me. "Oh be quiet Core."
