Chapter 8
Quinn sat outside on the home porch watching the other kids playing out on the street.
"She's looking over here." One child spoke.
"She's so weird."
"Just like her mother."
"Let's go."
"Yeah she's creeping me out." the final kid spoke leaving the street.
"Don't pay any mind to them." The voice spoke from behind.
"Why can't I join the others… why does SHE get so mad when I ask?" Quinn asked feeling resentment for her mother.
"I don't know, your mother is just worrisome, she wants to keep you safe..."
"I can take care of myself…" Quinn replied.
Quinn pushed the front door to her home open she stood looking outside; she took a step forward slowing making her way out to the porch.
"I could run… leave this place." she thought to herself.
"I don't understand… why can't I go out? Why can't I talk to other people…" Quinn clenched her small fist feeling the anger building up again inside her. She raised her head looking ahead she took a step forward leaving the home she was imprisoned in.
"I have to get out." She told herself as she dashed off barefoot not caring anymore; Quinn had been running for a while and was starting to get tired she came to a stop catching her breath the sweat trickled down her face falling to the ground. Till a sound of something being dragged had her quickly look up.
"Heheh well what's a sweet little doll doing out so late?" the thug asked stepping out of the dark holding the steel pipe Quinn stood frozen trembling.
"What's the matter?" the second thug asked as the group came around her.
"Hmm how old are you pumpkin?" the third thug asked crouched down to her level examining her.
"She looks like she'll sell well, don't you think?" the second thug asked with a grin.
"Most perverts will pay well for a girl around her age." The leader smirked as the thug grabbed Quinn by her arm leading her away. Quinn was scared but didn't know what to do her body shaking till the group came to a stop.
"What the hell?" the leader asked holding the pipe in hand ready to fight.
"Hey asshole get outta of our way before we make you regret it!" he warned the shadow figured stood listening to them.
"The fuck? You hard at hearing or just plain stupid?!" the guy asked getting annoyed with the one standing in their path.
"Fuck it let's just beat the shit outta this shit!" the thug growled approaching the figure till the thug stopped he stood feeling a sting on his neck he reached up touching his neck to feel a warm liquid trickling down from a cut.
"Gaah…!" he coughed as he fell to his knees then to the ground followed by his head rolling.
"The fuck!?" the leader growled Quinn stood shaking even more to see a man die in front of her in such a violent way.
"Who the fuck-!?" the figured stepped out more allowing the moonlight to shine down on him Quinn eyes went bigger.
"Father…?" she mumbled to see him as a demon.
"F-fuck…! H-holy water!" the leader yelled looking back at his second member as the thug quickly searched his pockets only to freeze.
"S-shit!" the leader cursed as his guy fell to his knees the slashes on his body gushing with blood.
"Fucking demon!" the leader cursed throwing Quinn aside as he pulled a gun out shooting he stood whimpering sending bullet after bullet at the demon that was closing their distance, till the demon shot his hand out grabbing the thugs head raising him from the ground. Quinn sat on the ground watching as her father crushed the humans head to bits there stood a moment of silence between father and daughter.
"You need to leave…" the father warned looking back at Quinn.
"W-why…?" Quinn strutted trembling all over.
"It's not safe… you need to… leave…." The father warned again slowly turning his body to her Quinn's eyes got bigger to see the hole in her father's chest.
"Y-your chest…" she pointed.
"That woman… is not your mother…" he revealed as Quinn sat listening as a rain drop hit the ground the clouds above collecting.
"I am not… your father… you need to get away… now!" He yelled making Quinn jump, Quinn slowly got up her eyes pinned to the man she called "father" in shock to find out the truth.
"RUN N-!" He yelled only to be cut off as he fell dead Quinn gasped to see him lying still the raining beginning to pour down. Quinn quickly turned her body and ran.
The figure stood in front of the fire place staring at the flames that engulfed the new object thrown in.
"Cocky bastard, I would have never thought he would actually take his heart out to free himself from my spell." The mother smirked amused by the action.
"However careless to leave it around." She smiled as she walked to the window looking out watching as the rain poured.
The witch stepped back a smile on her face she quickly placed her hand over her mouth as she busted out laughing.
"Hahahah! A human woman seeking the power of a demon!?" she asked wiping the tear away.
"Oh you humans are too much, what exactly did that fool hope to gain from a demon she imprisoned and a brat like you?" the witch asked looking at Quinn till she gasped to feel a blade pierce throw her heart.
"What…?" she asked looking down to see the blade sticking out of her.
"The demons purpose was to kill the family Quinn belonged to and bring her to me, her purpose was to be a host for a demon, when it reached its full grown state would then move into me, thus making me a demon." The voice explained as the figure pulled the blade out from the witch.
"Though you are a demon you were easily bested." She smiled as she watched as the witch fell, Quinn sat still in her trance.
"Hello Quinn, it's been a while." The mother greeted.
