Random Song One Shots Chapter 64: Best Friend and Burns by Jason Chen, a grojband fanfic

HEY GUYS! Sorry for the late updates, been kinda busy with it being close to the end of the school year and everything. Anyway, this is just something quick I did because of it, the song is Best Friend by Jason Chen and the ship is Corney/Larrie, yep this is a double ship one shot! Anyway, ENJOY!

This all started back when me Corey, Laney, and Care were kids. We were all about ten years old at the time. We just loved to play games out on the playground, especially pretend. Even if Corey and Care didn't get along, even back then. We were a tight pack of best friends. Kin, Kon, Kim and Konnie were with us pack then but, me, my sister, Corey and Care were never separated, it was like we were glued together. At least back then it was less complicated... Now, it's hard to keep track on everything, especially sense now I have a crush on my best friend and my sister has a crush on Corey now as well. It kinda stinks knowing if I do confess, and she shoots me down, everything will be ruined. It's just really fucked up. Excuse my language but it's true, it all fucked up to hell.

Let's start here today, me and the girls were getting ready for a gig. (Kim, Konnie,Care, and I made a band a while back, same with Kin, Kon,Corey, and Laney.) But what the girls didn't know was an idea I had with writing a song that tells Care what I feel, and I'm gonna have some help from a close friend. But, those details will play out later. Well, sense Care wanted to set up early, I had time to finish up my song. When I was finished I got a text from my helper of the night, Corey. Hey man, finished your part of the song? Just did, you practiced right? Like I would forget to practice for a important night like this? Well, I gtg, see ya later man. See ya. I put my phone away just when Care sat down next to me at the edge of the stage. "Who were ya texting Lens." She smiled at me knowing the answer already. "I think you already know." "Corey?" "Yep." She laughed a little. "Anyway, mind helping Konnie with the last amp? Me and Kim have to set the mics." I jumped off the front part of the stage and landed on my feet. "You got it Care." She laughed after getting up from the stage. "Thanks Lens."

After about an hour, the gig began, and Care was pretty nervous. "How are we going to show everyone that the opening event can be the best? How good are these 'Hopelessly Blue' guys? How are we going to.. UGH!" I smiled softly and put my hands on the now pacing Carrie's shoulders. "Care calm down alright? We going to do awesome and everyone will know how awesome The Newmans can be. Now, can you stop pacing? You're make me nervous when you do that." She put on a shy smile. "Thanks Lens, I'll try to calm down." I knew Kim and Konnie were already on stage, and with me knowing we had to go on stage right then, I let go of her shoulders. "Then lets go show these guys who really rocks!" She giggled at me after I put a small rock on sign up in the air. "You got that right Lens!" She then ran onto the stage. "Hey, wait for me!" I grabbed my bass and ran onto stage as every Newmans fan screamed. Time to be awesome.

After the performance, I got off stage, I ran to the bathroom and changed my shirt into a black button up with a red tie that had The Newmans symbol on it. "Hey, you ready?" Corey poked his head through the bathroom main door while be was wearing a blue button up shirt and a dark blue clip on tie that had the Grojband skull on it. "Yep, lets tell them how we feel shall we good helper?" He gave me a straight funny look. "Dude, I'm not as short as you, so quit calling me 'helper' like an elf." I put a black fedora on my head and walked out to the stage. Before I walked on stage I grabbed out a gold token from my pocket. It was a token Carrie gave me when we were kids, she has one too, but hers is a necklace. It's appose to show how we're best friends and as long as the other person has the other token, we will be best friends for ever. I smiled as I flipped it two times before walking on stage. I pushed the token back in my pocket as I walked up to mic with my bass in my hand. It seemed like the other two, who were friends of Corey's, already introduce us because Care's and Laney's eyes went wide. "Hey guys, I'm Lenny and this is Corey... You guys might know us from the awesome bands, Grojband and The Newmans, well we came together today so we can show two people how we feel. So this song is called Best Friend and some parts are gonna be sang by Corey and I'll sing some parts as well. So, enjoy." I smiled as the keyboard began.

Lenny:

I looked out to Care to see that she was smiling at me same with Laney smiling at Corey. I smiled back at her and pulled out my token and showed it to her. She grabbed her's which was around her neck.

After I grabbed out my token, I remembered all the times me and Lenny had fun over the years. I always knew I loved him, but this was the first time I ever noticed that he liked me back, and I know for sure that Laney is having the same problem in her head. We love them, and I know that Lane will agree when I say, I would always take the risk to show that I love my best friend.
