Well, I managed to update in a week and a half. That's a lot better than the last couple chapters.

Thanks to everyone who has read, followed, favorited or reviewed this story. I don't know how you all found my story, since it's on page 22 when you sort all the Frozen Crossovers by Favorites (which meant I had to scroll through all those pages to give you that tidbit of useless information), and it's probably on later pages for all the other categories (for the Update Date filter on the Frozen crossover page, the first 2 ½ pages are stories that were updated less than 24 hours ago! Wow. Though that's not as insane as the Harry Potter list (normal, not crossover), where the first couple pages are things that were updated minutes or seconds ago).

So... I'm guessing you didn't find it by sorting Frozen crossovers by any of the categories like reviews, words etc, unless you scrolled through a million pages, because it's not high on any of those lists. Did you just go to Frozen (or Tinker Bell) crossovers and just click on the other category's title, because for some reason I think that seems unlikely-although I would've clicked Frozen and Tinker Bell even if I hadn't been writing this, I didn't think many other people would- there are only four Frozen/Tink crossovers, which means it's not high on that list either, so that would be more scrolling.

Whenever someone follows, faves or reviews my story, I always look at their fanfiction page, and a lot of you haven't favorited other Frozen fics or Tinkerbell fics, so I always wonder how you found this one. I also always wonder whether most of you found this on the Frozen crossover page or the Tinker Bell crossover page- I'm guessing the Frozen one because that has more stories, but I could be wrong. After all, it probably would be easier to find this in the Tinkerbell crossover page because you only have to sort through 71 instead of the 2000+ there are for Frozen.

Okay I'll stop rambling about stuff you probably couldn't care less about (because you all know how you found my story). So, on to Chapter 14! I'm jumping forward in the story a little- just to the next day.

"Dear hearts, can't you fly any faster? Slow isn't really my thing." Vidia's sugary voice rang out in annoyance. The fast-flying fairy turned to look back, her purple clothes and large purple-black ponytail rippling in the wind.

Far behind her, Tink and Peri were pulling the balloon carrier, feeling a little tired, while Elsa and Anna buzzed around them, full of energy. Tink and Peri weren't as rested as they would have liked, because they had made the journey from the pirate-ship-wreck the previous night- the same day they had gone there. Already tired from the constant flying, the fairy twins had eventually ended up pulling the balloon carrier along with a pair of sleeping little girls. They had gotten back around a couple hours after sunset and had spent another night in Elsa's ice castle.

Now they were journeying to Kyto's cave, on Elsa and Anna's third day in Neverland. Tink had used Zarina's talent-swapping dust in order to become a water-talent, just like when Zarina (as a pirate) had swapped Tink's and her friends' talents, With her new water-talent, Tink would at least have a chance of putting out Kyto's flame if he spewed fire at any of them. Although the talent-swapping dust was ordinarily banned, an exception had been made for this journey because it cut down on the number of fairies needed to make the trip.

Silvermist had volunteered to go, but Tink had decided to become a water-talent instead. That way Silvermist wouldn't be endangered. So instead, Silvermist had put Tink through a rigorous lesson that crammed all the advanced knowledge of the different water-talent tricks into an hour. Tink already had practical experience from when Zarina had switched their talents, so Silvermist hadn't needed to go over that as much.

Vidia had pointed out that Peri could theoretically just use Zarina's talent-swapping dust to fix her talent-problem, but Peri had said that that wouldn't actually complete her- it would just artificially and temporarily solve her problem, so therefore the wand was better. Even though she felt horrible that Vidia and Tink could be risking their lives because of it Peri wanted to permanently fix her talent-problem with the wand (though Vidia probably wasn't risking her life and wouldn't be hurt, because Kyto had a crush on her and wouldn't purposely hurt the fast-flyer). Of course, Vidia had to voice out loud what Peri had been thinking, which made the frost-fairy feel even worse.

As she watched Elsa and Anna soar around, Tink wondered how little kids could have so much energy. The girls had flown just as much as she had, but it seemed like only Tink and Peri's bodies were sore from all the flying and fighting. It really wasn't fair. Elsa and Anna weren't even the ones that needed a ton of energy for today, whereas Tink and Peri would probably end up attacking Kyto in order for Vidia to successfully steal the wand.

Anna and Elsa were coming along because Elsa would be right there when Peri used the wand, so they'd know if it worked almost immediately. There was another reason, which Tink wasn't sure she would admit out loud, which was that both fairy twins felt somewhat responsible for looking after their laugher and her sister, and didn't want to leave them with someone else (though ironically they were leading the girls into potential danger just being in the same general area as a dragon).

Although Elsa and Anna were going on the trip, the fairies were planning to make sure they didn't get anywhere near Kyto by parking them somewhere beforehand. Both Tink and Peri were a little worried, because the last time they asked the girls to stay put, Elsa and Anna had ended up wandering around Pixie Hollow. The fairies didn't want something like that to happen this time.

The fairies were taking extra precautions to make sure the girls didn't go near Kyto's cave. They were planning on telling them scary stories of Kyto, and making sure Anna translated them correctly; if they could get the girls to fear Kyto (which was a reasonable fear to have, anyway) then the girls would most likely stay away. Additionally, the fairies had only given the humans a small amount of Pixie Dust, just enough to cover the trip to Kyto's cave, but not enough to let them fly once they got there. If Elsa and Anna couldn't fly and the fairies left them below Kyto's cave, there was no way they could get within the range of his fire. There wasn't much around Kyto's cave, so Elsa and Anna couldn't get into much danger while they waited for the fairies.

Vidia called back again for them to hurry up, and Tink hollered back that their pace was fine. Both fairies huffed irritably, thinking that the other could be so annoying sometimes. Vidia continued to fly ahead of the others and the others continued at their speed.

Tink started practicing shooting water out of her hands in order to be able to douse as much flame as possible if Kyto attacked. As she practiced, she managed to get a fair amount of water to stream from her hand, and she hoped it would be enough to extinguish Kyto's flames. Although Kyto could spew a lot of fire, he didn't do so often; in his cave cage, he only produced small flames, because he didn't want to damage his precious hoard of artifacts.

So as long as Kyto kept worrying about his hoard, the fairies wouldn't have to worry about enormous fireballs. Peri worried that leaving Silvermist behind could have been a bad idea; she could practically shoot a waterfall from her hands, which would have been helpful if Kyto went ballistic and spewed out fire in enormous quantities. Tink had a brief image in her head of being unable to extinguish Kyto's flame and somebody getting burnt because of it.

Tink then thought that maybe she was underestimating herself. Although she wasn't nearly as good as Silvermist, who had years of practice, she was still decent at the water-talent (the talent-swapping dust wasn't called that for nothing- it actually gave fairies talent for their new talent). Still, Tink practiced as much as she could, because one could always get better with practice, and moved on to tricks like forming water shields and gigantic bubbles, which would be more useful for defense than shooting water out of her hands.

Given that she was the only one actually pulling the balloon carrier, Peri asked Anna to help her pull it; if the five-year-old was busy, maybe she would stop bothering the others. Anna grabbed onto the cord and jerked the whole balloon around as she flew around wildly, pulling Peri along for very shaky ride. Anna enjoyed watching the balloon when she pulled it sharply in a direction, and forgot that Peri was clinging onto the cord and getting jerked around too.

Because she didn't like being shaken- and the Mirror of Incanta could potentially become damaged while Anna was pulling the carrier- Peri told Anna to stop. Anna let go of the cord and randomly went to tackle-hug Elsa. Peri and Tink glanced at each other, reminded of the game they played when crossing the border, and thinking once again that Anna and Elsa's sisterly relationship was almost eerily similar to theirs.

Tink continued practicing shooting water from her hands, since she found it harder than making water shields and bubbles. She decided to aim for a target, because she needed to be able to aim at Kyto's flame. Just for fun, she decided that one of her companions would be that target. It couldn't be Peri or Vidia, because fairies can't fly with wet wings. Tink thought to herself that there was another benefit of bringing two certain little girls along.

Smirking, Tink shot a stream of water and Anna and Elsa. When it hit them, Anna flew in front of Elsa and over-dramatically cried out in a horrible attempt of a deep, heroic voice "Don't worry Elsa! I'll save you!" Anna was successful at shielding Elsa from Tink's attack until Elsa managed to get in front of her little sister. Their roles reversed, and Elsa pushed Anna behind her and exclaimed, in a slightly better impersonation of a heroic knight or soldier "Allow me, madam. I'll handle this fiend."

Before Tink could react, Elsa flung her hands forward and retaliated Tink's attack by shooting a cylindrical stream of snow at her. Tink's mind went blank when the frigid flakes hit her, and it took a couple seconds for her to notice when that someone had shoved her out of the cold tunnel of snow. She didn't process that Peri was shouting the exact same thing to her that Elsa had said to Anna seconds earlier.

Tink was surprised to see Peri in the stream of snow, with a grin on her face. Normally, Peri seemed down when her talent left her, though Tink assumed that Peri had decided she wouldn't let it bother her now because they were going to fix that soon. Tink respected her sister for being able to have that mindset, even if it had taken a while for her to get it.

Peri began to gather up all the snowflakes rushing towards her and shape them into a giant snowball, because she didn't need her ability to make snow in order to do so. Once it was large enough, she deposited some Pixie Dust on it and sent the snowball rocketing towards Elsa. However, Elsa simply pushed it out of the way with a gust of icy wind before sticking her tongue out at Peri. Elsa opened her mouth to declare victory but didn't get the chance.

"Hellooo?! I thought we were trying to get to Kyto's cave before sunset. Or were you just planning on spending the whole day shooting little flurries and rainstorms at each other?" Vidia was hovering in front of them, looking very impatient. The group stopped shooting things at each other and Elsa and Anna noticed how wet they actually were. Both Anna's yellow nightdress and Elsa's blue one had darkened several shades from the water.

"Oh, I didn't know we had to do this at your speed." Tink shot back "I was under the impression that we didn't have to rush there. Kyto's cave is only an hour away from Pixie Hollow, so we're not exactly pressed for time. Besides, if we go at a slower pace, I'll have more time to practice these water tricks. So how about you just slow down for once in your life and think about someone other than yourself."

Flying up close to Tink's face, Vidia growled "Listen here, Little Miss Spare Parts. I'm the only one that has a reasonable chance at stealing the wand from Kyto, and I am thinking of someone other than myself, because this doesn't benefit me at all. But obviously you don't appreciate me, so how about I just fly on back to Pixie Hollow and let you try to steal it yourselves. And I don't think it's going to turn out to be a pretty sight, darling." Vidia turned and flew away so quickly that she appeared as a glowing yellow streak with a trail of Pixie Dust following it.

Elsa didn't even ask what they were saying. She could tell the fairies had been fighting just from their body language.

"No, wait!" Peri called out to her, "Come back! Tink didn't mean it." Tink declared that she had meant what she said, and Peri kicked her twin in the shins, muttering for her to shut up. "Please, Vidia! We can't do this without you!"

Peri sighed in relief when she saw the streak of light returning. Vidia stopped in front of the group, but a gust of wind blew in their faces, undoubtedly a product of Vidia's fast-flying talent. "Thanks Vidia. It means a lot to me." Peri said. Vidia just nodded crisply. Although she hid it very well, Vidia actually did care about others, and she wanted to help Peri. Vidia liked Peri a lot, and unlike her sister, Peri never fought with Vidia, so Vidia was actually reasonably nice to her.

Clutching Tink's arm, Peri muttered to her sister "Can I talk to you for a moment?" She flew away, dragging Tink with her. Glancing over her shoulder, Peri saw Elsa and Anna following her. Turning to them, she said "We need some alone time, so how about you keep Vidia company? Go ahead and try to beat her in a race."

Vidia hollered something about not being a nanny while Anna pulled Elsa towards the fast-flying fairy, cockily saying "We can totally beat Vidia in a race, right?"

"Well, well." Vidia said, pretending she hadn't noticed the girls before, "Two winged Clumsies- now that's a sight you don't see every day. Let's see if your wings are useful, or if they're an embarrassment to fairies."

Anna translated this to Elsa, looking very annoyed at the jibe about their wings and the fact that she'd been called a Clumsy. Elsa muttered to Anna "We'll show her!" before saying loudly "Let's race!"

Meanwhile, Peri was talking to Tink. She fixed Tink with a stare and asked "Can you please try not to annoy Vidia, so she doesn't leave for real this time? Because she has a point- she's the only fairy who Kyto won't fry."

"Why are you acting like it's all my fault?" Tink demanded "She's the one who started it, but I don't see you lecturing her!" Peri rolled her eyes at that, thinking that Tink was being rather immature.

"Honestly," Peri told her twin, "if I didn't know better, I'd think that Vidia was your mortal enemy. You two sure don't act like friends sometimes." The frost-fairy then turned around to watch the race between Vidia, Elsa and Anna. Elsa and Anna looked worried as they wriggled their shoulders frantically- apparently they'd forgotten how fast Vidia was.

Vidia was far ahead of the girls, simply waiting for them with a smug look on her face. "Darlings, this is pathetic. A fairy without Pixie Dust could fly quicker than you." Peri frowned at Vidia's sarcastic comment because it was both mean and untrue- although fairies could fly without Pixie Dust, they could only fly as fast as they could walk.

Although Vidia was usually very sassy, she seemed meaner than normal. Peri suspected that the fast-flier was trying to get over her fear of Elsa and Anna by being nastier than usual. When Anna angrily repeated what Vidia had said to Elsa, Elsa glared at the fast-flier, stuck her hands behind her back, and used her magic to propel herself forward with a gust of wintery wind.

All three fairies were very surprised: not only did Elsa have a frost-talent, she had more than just the frost powers, and was able to use them to achieve a fast-flying talent.

Elsa shot past Vidia, who was almost blown backwards by Elsa's wind. Vidia stared at Elsa, shocked that an eight-year-old Clumsy could beat her, the fastest fairy in Pixie Hollow. Vidia paused- Elsa hadn't actually beaten her, because she, Vidia, hadn't been moving. Well, certainly the Clumsy couldn't beat her if she was flying as fast as she could.

Vidia rocketed off, propelling herself forward with her own wind. Elsa, sensing the challenge, sped after her. Anna wriggled her shoulders in a hopeless attempt to catch up to them.

Meanwhile, Vidia and Elsa were desperately trying to surpass each other. Vidia kept flying through small branches, hoping that Elsa would try to follow her and get tangled up in them, but Elsa wasn't falling for it. It was rather odd, watching them race, because there wasn't a set end point- they just tried to keep ahead of their opponent. One of them would veer into some other direction and the other would have to change directions and catch up.

They both stopped after a bit, Vidia muttering something about wanting to save her energy for later. Although it did make sense that Vidia would conserve her energy for when she'd be stealing the wand, even Anna could tell that she'd used that as an excuse for the fact that Elsa had been beating her half the time.

Seeing as they only had twenty minutes or so until they reached Kyto's cave, Tink decided to start convincing Anna and Elsa not to go near the dragon, just in case their Pixie Dust didn't wear out by then. At first, she simply told Anna that she and Elsa would have to wait for the fairies, but Anna had protested, saying she wanted to help, and Elsa joined in once she knew what Anna was protesting. Tink actually understood why they were fighting it- they most likely felt as if they had no control over what they did. After all, Elsa and Anna hadn't really gotten a say in anything since their arrival in Neverland- the only decision they'd made was deciding to roam around Pixie Hollow instead of waiting in the Winter Woods a couple days ago.

So Tink moved on to the plan of scaring the girls into staying away from Kyto. She did this by telling them horror stories of the dragon, which Anna translated, wide eyed, for Elsa. Vidia joined in enthusiastically, and added that although Kyto tolerated fairies (okay, Kyto hated most fairies, but he did have a crush on Vidia, so that sort of balanced it out and made Vidia's statement somewhat true), he absolutely hated humans- which was true. Even Peter Pan kept away from Kyto most of the time.

Peri hoped that Elsa and Anna weren't going to be scarred for life from the stories Vidia and Tink were telling. They exaggerated details, and although some storytellers naturally do that for the sake of the story, Peri thought they were going overboard. Vidia even seemed to take pleasure in seeing the girls' horrified responses. By the end of it, Anna and Elsa were convinced that Kyto was fifty feet tall, enjoyed eating children, and could spew fire not only from his mouth and nose, but from his eyes as well.

Considering that Elsa and Anna were reluctant to even continue on their journey, the fairies weren't as worried about them trying to go into Kyto's cave. Anna and Elsa did follow the fairies, but it was rather reluctantly. By the time they saw the cliff that Kyto's cage was in, the princesses were indeed running out of Pixie Dust, and gradually losing altitude because of it.

Elsa and Anna ran out of Pixie Dust entirely when they were about a hundred meters from the cliff and they had to walk the rest of the way, while the fairies fluttered around them, relieved. Now they knew that Elsa and Anna wouldn't be able to fly up to Kyto's cave.

There wasn't much around the bottom of the cliff- just a sandy beach and the shallow lagoon- so it was a pretty safe area for kids.

Elsa and Anna pulled off their winter boots and socks, and gleefully wiggled their bare toes in the sand. Tink told them to stay safe and not wade too far into the lagoon, which Anna and Elsa accepted. The girls were also told that it could take the fairies a while to return, and that they shouldn't panic if they were alone for a couple hours (just to be on the safe side the fairies greatly overestimated how long they thought it would take). Additionally, Elsa promised not to use her powers, once she knew that Peri was planning on using them.

Elsa had then asked Tink and Peri tearfully if she'd ever see them again, which caught the fairy twins off guard. The fairies hadn't given any indication that they were worried, so they were a bit surprised that Elsa was. Peri flew up to Elsa, wiped a tear from the little girl's cheek, and gave her laugher a quick hug. Meanwhile, Tink tried to console Anna, who had freaked out at Elsa's question. Tink reminded Anna that Kyto didn't mind fairies and wouldn't hurt them, which wasn't a total lie. As long as Tink and Peri were by Vidia if Kyto attacked, they wouldn't get hurt. Anna translated this to Elsa, who looked relieved.

Elsa and Anna felt better after this, and they hollered "good luck!" as they watched the fairies leave and fly up the cliff. After a bit, the little girls settled in the sand and tried to make a sandman- a snowman made of sand.

XXXXXXXXXXXX

Kyto's cave was in the middle of the cliff wall, in a large hole in the rocks, which had been hollowed out by water-talent fairies. The only way to reach it was if one flew down from the top of the cliff or flew up from the bottom. His cave was also a cage- Kyto was surrounded on all sides by rock, except for the mouth of the cave. The mouth of the cave was blocked by bars- though the bars were actually Never-tree roots sticking out the rock above him and burying themselves at the bottom. Never tree roots are pretty much indestructible, though if the Never-tree the roots are attached to dies, then the roots will, too. But it takes a lot to kill a Never-tree.

There was enough room for Kyto to turn around and stretch his legs a bit, (though not enough for him to stretch his wings) and enough extra room for him to store his hoard, but it was still a very cramped place to live. For some reason, Kyto often pressed himself up against the bars, and his cave seemed a lot smaller because he hid most of it from view.

Tink and Peri lingered behind as Vidia continued towards the cave. Although it seemed odd for Vidia to be the one to go into the cave when it was Peri who needed the wand, the group had decided it was better that way. After all, Kyto didn't like other fairies, so if Tink and Peri went in there in the beginning, Kyto would most likely get mad. Of course, he'd undoubtedly get mad later, when he found out Vidia was stealing the wand, and he'd get even angrier once Tink and Peri snuck in and got involved.

Vidia told Tink and Peri to wait under the mouth of Kyto's cave, so he wouldn't see them, and she tied the balloon carrier, with the Mirror of Incanta inside, to a rocky ledge sticking out of the cliff wall. Vidia then approached Kyto, trying not to stare at him. Kyto had a somewhat plump body and a long neck that could bend multiple times, like a snake, and a rather long head. He wasn't fifty feet tall, like Vidia had told Elsa and Anna, but he was still fairly big. Kyto bent his neck to watch Vidia as she approached.

"Little crispiness," the dragon crooned to Vidia in a crackly voice like a fire, "I thought you'd forgotten me." Vidia froze up for a second, thinking about what to say. She had to act nice and pretend she liked him; otherwise he'd most likely cook her. Vidia actually had liked Kyto once- she had even been somewhat in love with him- but that had ended when Kyto had tried to kill Mother Dove and every fairy except Vidia.

Vidia wasn't very good at showing when she liked someone, which meant it would be even harder to pretend she liked a dragon who she really wasn't too fond of (though she did like how he could make her go faster by pushing her through the air with his breath).

This is going to be miserable, Vidia thought to herself. On the outside, however, she forced a smile and said in what she thought was a sickeningly sweet voice "How could I ever forget you, darling?" That question was open to interpretation, and Kyto took it to mean she liked him when Vidia truthfully meant the opposite- memories of evil, murderous dragons had a way of staying in someone's head.

"Come here, my little ember." Kyto said, opening his clawed foot. Vidia saw no choice but to fly over and land on his palm, Kyto proceeded to stare at her with a hungry look of longing in his eyes, and even started to blow gently on her, which was probably some dragon form of flirting. Vidia tried to suppress a shudder, which wasn't easy because she was feeling very uncomfortable. Peri, she thought, you have no idea how much you're going to owe me for this.

"Have you come to free me, my little flaming arrow?" Kyto purred. Vidia resisted the urge to snort with laughter. Nobody in their right mind would purposely free Kyto, though Vidia briefly thought that she might be crazy for doing this in the first place.

Well, time to move this plan along, Vidia thought. "No, love." She told the dragon. "But I do have a little something for your hoard. I'm going to get it now- I'll be right back." She left his claw and fluttered through the bars. "Oh, and you need to shut your eyes, love. This needs to be a surprise." Thankfully, Kyto obliged and shut them. Stealing the wand would be a lot easier if he wasn't looking.

Vidia left the cage and fluttered down the cliff to where Tink and Peri were waiting. "It's almost time for you two to start pitching in." She whispered to them, "But wait until I use the word collection." The fairy twins nodded, and Vidia grabbed the Mirror of Incanta and flew back up to Kyto's cave.

"I'm back, dear heart." Vidia called to Kyto as she neared the entrance to his cave. "But keep your eyes closed, love. I want you to guess what it is without looking at it." She hoped it would take him a while, because she needed to locate the wand in his hoard. The wand was only a couple inches tall, which was good because it would be easier to smuggle out of his cave, but bad because it was harder to find.

Vidia entered the cave and saw that the dragon's eyes were still closed. "If you peek, I'm not going to give this to you." She warned. Kyto's greed for valuable objects for his hoard was rather easy to manipulate, and the dragon made a point of covering his already closed eyes with his claws. "Oh, and you need to be specific." Vidia added, hoping to buy more time. "Once you guess the exact object, I'll let you add it to your collection." She almost shouted the last sentence, so Tink and Peri would hear it and get the signal.

"Is it rare?" Kyto asked, trying to narrow down the list of potential objects in his head. "Oh, yes. It's quite rare." Vidia replied loudly, placing the Mirror of Incanta down on the rocky floor, away from Kyto. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw Tink and Peri fly through the bars and hover near the ceiling, directly above Kyto's head, poised to unleash their talents if needed. Vidia gave the twins a quick nod and fluttered over to Kyto's hoard to begin looking for the wand.

"Little crispiness, is it a pirate's cigar holder?" Kyto questioned. How is a cigar holder rare? Tink wondered, because lots of pirates smoked cigars- Zarina and Smee were the only pirates that Tink knew of who didn't smoke cigars. Vidia simply answered Kyto with a "no".

Vidia froze when Kyto asked why she sounded farther away, near his hoard. Thankfully, when Vidia said she was just looking at it, Kyto raised no more questions on that topic and went back to guessing the object.

Vidia started to scan the large pile of objects before her. It was somewhat hard, since she was pretty much relying on her glow for light, since Kyto's body blocked out almost all of the sunlight.

Kyto's hoard included jeweled necklaces, rare coins and other "typical" treasure. However, it also contained things that Vidia wouldn't have guessed were valuable. One such item was a birdcage, and Vidia had to bite her tongue to keep herself from screaming when she saw a fairy skeleton inside it.

Hastily, she tore her eyes away from the birdcage and avoided looking at it again. She tried to think of nothing but the wand, to keep her mind off what she'd seen. However, this caused her to totally miss when Kyto had asked her if the object was a mermaid's comb, and she jumped when the dragon roared it out a second time.

"No, it's not a comb!" Vidia shouted in a voice much too high for her liking. She hadn't been expecting him to be that loud, and she was a bit worried. If he could get that angry at her just for not answering his question the first time, she really didn't want to see how furious he'd be if he caught her stealing the wand.

Okay, she needed to find the wand and get out of there, fast, before Kyto got angry again. She flew back and forth in front of the pile, desperately searching and hoping the wand wasn't buried out of sight. She flew around it and viewed at it at every angle. Tink and Peri started to fly down to help, but Vidia gestured for them to stay near Kyto.

Finally, Vidia spotted what appeared to be a metal twig sticking out near the bottom of the pile at an odd angle. Wrapping her hand around its cool surface, she felt the magic emanating from it and knew it was the wand. Vidia yanked on it, but it barely budged. Vidia snarled. Only a half-inch of the wand was sticking out of the pile, which meant that the other two inches or so were probably caught on something. She wriggled it, but it remained stuck.

From above, Tink and Peri watched Vidia tug at the wand without success. Then they almost fell out of the air in shock when Kyto asked if the object was a pair of fairy wings. Vidia let go of the wand, horror-struck. That was just barbaric! Was Kyto really that sadistic? Then again, he did have a fairy skeleton in a birdcage in his hoard, and he seemed to enjoy burning things, so yes, he probably was that sadistic. Vidia especially hated the wingless fairy thought, because fast-flying talents couldn't perform their talent without wings, and Vidia shuddered when she thought of any fairy losing their wings.

"No!" Vidia simply shouted, not even wanting to think about it any longer. She gripped the wand with both hands and pulled. Still no luck. She planted her feet on the pile and tugged, and the wand slid out a tiny bit more. She continued to tug at the wand, and gradually it began to slide out.

"Is it a feather?" asked Kyto, and again Tink had to wonder how that was valuable. Maybe Kyto didn't care as much about rarity and value as she'd thought, which was sort of annoying, because it meant the trip to find the Mirror of Incanta that she and Peri had made with Anna and Elsa had been a huge waste of time if they could have just gotten him a feather.

"No. I'll let you hold it and guess." Vidia said, nodding at her companions, indicating that one of them should give him the Mirror. Tink fluttered down and deposited it in Kyto's paw before rocketing back up. Vidia continued to work at getting the wand out.

She had pulled the wand halfway out, unaware that her right foot was upsetting the position of a small jewelry box. The jewelry box slid back as Vidia pushed pushed off the pile and pulled on the wand. At last, Vidia managed to completely pull wand out of the pile. Unfortunately, the jewelry box had shifted so it was no longer supporting a stack of coins, which clattered to the floor. The necklace that the coins had been under also fell, and created a domino effect that caused more treasure to fall.

Tink and Peri saw Kyto's eyes shoot open. His head swiveled towards where the sound had come from. Meanwhile, Vidia was trying to free her legs, which had been pinned under the birdcage when it fell.

Tink and Peri flew down to distract Kyto so Vidia would have time to free herself and get the wand out of the cave. Peri used her frost-talent to create a layer of ice that covered Kyto's closed mouth like a muzzle, to hopefully prevent him from spewing fire. Kyto roared with rage and managed to get flames to come from his closed lips. The ice melted, but Tink shot a stream of water at the flame and managed to extinguish it. This enraged Kyto even more, and he attempted to hit the fairy twins with his tail and bite them.

Vidia managed to get the birdcage off of her legs, and she darted towards the mouth of the cave, gripping the wand. She halted when Kyto loomed up in front of her. He followed her movement with his head, blocking her from exiting.

Peri shot shards of ice at his face, and Kyto howled in pain. All three fairies shot towards the bars. Kyto's tail smacked into Vidia, and she instinctively let go of the wand. The wand soared through the bars and fell down towards the beach where Anna and Elsa were, whereas Vidia smacked into one of the Never-tree roots that barricaded the mouth to Kyto's cave.

Before any of the fairies could think about flying away, they found themselves being pulled backwards into the depths of the cave. Kyto was pulling them back by inhaling a deep breath.

"Find the wand!" All three fairies hollered down, hoping that Anna and Elsa would hear them. They continued screaming this as they were pulled backwards, while trying desperately to escape Kyto's breath. Kyto snatched the fairies out of the air and held them in a giant clawed fist, squeezing his captives.

"Do you know what happens to who steal from my hoard?" He asked them in a low, menacing growl "and those who try to put out my flame?" He received no answer, so he supplied it."THEY'RE PUNISHED!" Kyto roared, shaking the fairies violently up and down.

He then opened his mouth, brought the fairies closer. All three fairies had their arms pinned in Kyto's fist, so none of them could use their powers to fight him. Cackling evilly, Kyto started to spit out fire.

Dunn dunn! (suspenseful music). Cliffhangers are fun to write, though somewhat annoying to read (but somehow they're fun to read at the same time). Hopefully you don't think this cliffhanger is evil. I think it's safe to say that Kyto's crush on Vidia has officially ended, which stinks for the fairies because they were banking on that to not get fried.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I think their journey to his cave ended up being the majority of this chapter, because I had to stop the cave-stuff where I did, but there will be more things at his cave next chapter. This chapter seemed sort of similar to the previous chapter, but I think they're different enough to not seem repetitive. The Kyto part turned out sort of dark, I'm hoping I'm the only one who thinks that, but then again some stuff in Frozen is sort of dark, too. But there do seem to be a lot of life-threatening situations in this fic. Maybe it should be rated T?

I'm also hoping that everybody is in character. I was right last chapter- writing Vidia is challenging. She's nice and mean at the same time, and I'd start thinking I was making her too nice, and then to mean, and so on. I hope I managed to portray her correctly. Technically, she isn't really even mean in the last couple Tinker Bell films, but that sort of makes her boring.

Tink seemed a bit meaner during parts of this chapter. Maybe Vidia's rubbing off on her. Or maybe her personality in Peter Pan is emerging (okay, not really. But Vidia could be a bad influence on her).

Oh, yeah. So in this chapter I said the talent-swapping dust was banned, but Zarina used it a couple chapters ago. But she's sort of a rebel, so I could see her using it when she's not supposed to. Also, for any of you who might have read Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg, by Gail Carson Levine, you might recognize some (all, actually) of Kyto's guesses being things they gave him in the book. But I changed it for this fic, so he just got the wand.

I haven't gotten any reviews on the past two chapters, so I have no idea what you all thought of them. Did you like them, hate them, think they were so-so. I would ask if you stopped reading this, but obviously that would be pointless. I'd like to hear what you think, even if it is negative.

Things are going to pick up even more soon (though I think they've picked up already). I'm not sure when I'll be able to update again- hopefully at least one other time in August, but twice would be even better.
