AN: I don't own Glee

Chapter 5

Madison walked down the hallway, with her mind made up and eager to talk to Tom. She found him talking to a bunch of fellow football players. She walked up behind him and tapped his shoulder, and turned around. "Can I talk to you?" She asked quietly. He sighed and took her to a private area. "What?" He asked, clearly irritated over something. "I wanted to talk about what you said earlier." Tom motioned her to go on, so Madison continued, "I don't want to be private. I want to be a real couple and have a real relationship." Tom sighed, "Look I don't do PDA and that crap." "I'm not asking you to. I just want to go on dates and have to talk in secret like we are conspiring about something. We don't have to do PDA or anything mushy like that. I just want to be free to talk and hang with you in public. That's all I'm asking. So what do you say?" Madison asked, looking up at him.

On the other side of school, Mason was still worried. Jane had never come back to the cafeteria and he still couldn't find Madison. He saw Spencer at his locker, so he went to see if he had seen her.

"Uhh I saw her go somewhere with Tom to talk to him about something, but that was like ten minutes ago." Spencer replied. "Thanks!" Mason said before rushing off. The bell then rang and Mason realized that he had his next class with Madison so maybe he would see her there. He finally saw her, sitting at her desk, taking her books out. "Where were you? I was worried sick." he said as he sat down beside her. "I talked to Tom." Mason's face tightened, "And?" he asked. "We're gonna give it another chance." She said with a giddy smile. Mason was instantly concerned, "Are you sure about this? I don't want you to get hurt again." Madison smiled at him, and replied, "Yes I'm sure, I appreciate you looking out for me twin." The class then came to order and Mason couldn't say anything else.

The rest of the day flew by, and then it was finally glee time. "Okay everyone, we are going to do something new. Partner duets!" Rachel said excitedly. Kurt then explained, "We have paired you up with a partner and you are going to sing a duet of your choosing with them. This is important to learn how to do duets and sing with others because we do duets and such all the time in competitions." Everyone buzzed excitedly and then Rachel announced the pairings. "Mason and Jane, Roderick and Madison, Spencer and Kitty." Mason's face lit up, he was thrilled to be working with Jane. Everyone dispersed to go talk to their partners and start brainstorming songs.

"So, what are you thinking?" Mason asked as Jane and him found a place to sit. "I don't know, what do you think?" Jane asked, and Mason shrugged then thought of something, "What is your favorite song?" Jane contemplated her answer for a second before quickly responding, "Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran." (Don't own any of Ed Sheeran's beautiful music) She smiled shyly looking up at him. Mason smiled right back and replied, "That's a great song, let's do it."

On the other side of the choir room, Madison and Roderick paired up as partners and decided to pair up and decided on Sia's "Elastic Heart" (Don't own!)

"So where were you at lunch?" Noah asked curiously. "I was just hanging out with Tom. Why?" She asked, looking at him. Noah blushed and quickly stammered, "Oh no reason, just curious. Mason was just looking for you." Madison nodded, dismissing the subject and Noah felt relief. The bell then rang, signifying the end of the day. "I have Cheerios practice after school today and a game on Friday night, but maybe on Friday we could meet up and practice." Madison said as she gathered up her belongings. "Yeah that sounds good." Roderick said. Madison smiled, "Great! How about Saturday morning 10 o'clock at my house? I'll text you my address." "Ok, it's a date." Roderick said, then immediately blushed and scurried off.

Later…

The twins were cooling off and packing up their things after Cheerios practice a few hours later. Both were exhausted as Coach Sylvester worked them hard and continuously throughout the two hour practice. "So what are you and Jane singing for your duet?" Madison asked, putting a flirtacious emphasis on Jane's name. Mason rolled his eyes but smiled and blushed, "Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran (don't own). What about you and Roderick?" Mason asked. "Elastic Heart by Sia. (Don't own)". Mason nodded, and was about to say more when he was interrupted by a shouting across the field. Mason looked up and noticed Tom was yelling for Madison. His twin's face lit up with giddy and she quickly trotted over to him. Mason stood awkwardly behind until Madison finally dragged Tom over to him.

"Mason, this is Tom. Tom this is my twin brother Mason." She said introducing the two boys. Mason gave Tom a tight smile and Tom jut ignored him and focused on Madison. There was an awkward silence and then Tom coughed and said, "Madison let's go get some food and I'll drive you home." Madison nodded excitedly and turned to Mason for approval. "It's Thursday. Don't be too late!" Mason reminded her. She just smiled and grabbed Tom's hand and the couple headed off. Mason then headed to their shared car alone, feeling a pit in his stomach. He still didn't trust Tom and didn't want his sister to get hurt. At the dinner table he explained to his parents and they seemed thrill that she had some friends to hang out with. Mason rolled his eyes, he didn't exactly consider Tom a friend for Madison.

He decided to wait for his sister to make sure she got home okay. He settled down on the couch with a book to wait and found himself slowly drifting off.

He awoke when the front door opened abruptly and he saw Madison sneaking in. Mason rubbed his eyes and looked at the clock, which read 12:30. "Mason? What are you doing up?" She asked as she stood looking at him. Mason quickly stood up and crossed his arms, "I should be the one asking you questions. What are you doing out so late? We have school tomorrow, and you shouldn't be out this late with a guy." He said disapprovingly. "Geez Mas, calm down. I think I'm old enough to take care of myself, and you're not my father so I think I can stay out as late as I want with who I want with out your input." She said defensively, quickly going up the stairs angrily.

Mason sighed and ran his hair through his black, curly hair, he hadn't meant to be a bossy jerk, but that's how it came out. Mason still knew that he was right, but knew he was gonna have to try to be nice to Tom or he could really hurt Madison's feelings.

*I am so so so sorry for the delay! I have been unbelieveably busy the last few weeks, but I really hope to update more regularly!

So what did you think of the Glee Finale? I loved it, though I was so sad that it's really over. I will admit I even cried a bit (or a lot). I just wanted to thank Glee for all it's done. It has been with me for years and has helped me in more ways than one. It got me through my darkest time and years and I will forever be grateful. It taught me about self-acceptance and joy. It brought happiness to my life when there was little of it. Thanks Glee I love you*
