Again I apologize for taking so long to update and again thank you for those who reviewed. This chapter will start the main plot line and answer two of the three questions that I promised to answer last chapter. So without further a due Chronicle of Heroes The Lost Magician Chapter 4.

I take a quick glance at my past and a sneak peak at my future.

As I walked towards a rather dangerous and potentially hostile magician he couldn't help but think about all the events that went on during his day.

Flashback

I was being shown around the halls of the the 21st Nome by Zia. He was looking around deep in thought when he past a room who's door hang ajar. Being ADHD as he was told by Summer he couldn't help himself and decided to take a quick glance at whoever was in there he didn't except this. The room was completely empty. The room however was completely neat like the person who stayed hear had the time to clean up everything but his/her bed which looked like the person just got up. ''This is Carter's room'' said Zia from behind me ''the kid who's missing, the one thats been gone for two and a half months". Zia didn't answer she simply nodded. ''He's not dead you know I mean there's no sign of a struggle maybe he had something important to do''. ''I think we should just continue the tour'' said Zia her voice low and broken and with that she just walked out of the room.''Another inspirational speech Perce'' I told myself.

Zia and Percy walked out of the room and the tour commenced as they kept walking Percy thought that he had Zia whisper "What if he's right I mean what if he just decided to leave, oh come on Zia if he decided to leave then why didn't he tell Amos or Sadie or me or somebody, ugh this is so frustrating how could he just disappear and how does Percy no so much and why did the Goat tell me he only met him today and then say he couldn't say anymore what is happening?. ''What did you just say'' I asked Zia ''nothing she answered a look of worry spreading across her face ''yeah but I could've sworn-'' I stopped myself knowing that stressing the matter wouldn't get me anywhere. As the tour finished I started staring at a giant statue of a guy with a bird's head and a man's body. Zia noticed me staring and said ''that's Thoth the god of knowledge instantly the image of a woman with dark hair and stormy grey flashed across my eyes ''Athena'' I muttered. ''Why do you keep doing that?'' said Zia ''doing what?'' I asked her anger present in my voice. ''Doing that she said calling the gods by Greek names'' ''I don't know'' I answered '' it just feels right''.Zia looked at me like she was searching for something but after a rather awkward few seconds she stopped and walked forward.''What is he'' Zia asked '' he can't be a magician no magician I have ever met can defeat Bast with amnesia or have that much control over the elements of water,fire and air without formal training, he makes as much sense as that dream I had three nights ago. Why won't he tell any of us anything he needs to start talking before things get even worse than they already are. I mean the gods are returning which means Chaos must also be returning and the fact that Setne has-. Why is he looking at me like that?''. Zia turned to face me ''why are you looking at me like that?'' ''you already asked me that'' ''what no I didn't'' she answered me a look of absolute certainty on her face ''what do you mean you didn't I heard you clear as day'' was what I was planning to say but a voice stopped me ''don't ask her that question'' it told me I stopped myself and just smiled a silly me smile '' you're right'' I said '' I don't know what I was hearing''. Zia looked at me uncertainly like she didn't believe what I just said but she didn't argue instead she just turned and beckoned me to follow her and I did and when the tour ended Zia turned to me and said '' I hope you enjoy you're stay at the 21st nome'' she gave me a friendly smile and speed walked away. I sighed and walked towards the giant statue of the god of knowledge...Thoth that was his name.

I stared up and down the statue and I felt weird like this god wasn't my god and the giant bird head was not helping matters suddenly the statue seemed to come to life and it looked down at me.''Why are you here you insolent Greek?'' said a powerful voice which spoke in my mind ''why don't return to you're precious camp you godly abomination- ''now Thoth'' said another voice that came from my mind ''that's no way to speak to my new host is it'' ''why do-'' suddenly a noise like a vacuum rippled through my mind ''Setne'' said Thoth and with that the mental conversation ended. ''Who are you'' I said to the mysterious voice in my head ''just a friend'' ''what the hell why do you have to be so bloody vague just tell me who you are'' ''I can do better that that'' the voice answered ''I can show you''.Suddenly I was in the clouds and an irrational fear of being this high spread through me I'm scared of heights ''Don't worry Zeus has no power here'' those words calmed me down but I was still frightened ''So who are you'' I shouted ''look up'' the voice answered. And right above me I saw the sun a giant fiery orb that radiated warmth and power suddenly a column of fire shot straight down towards me '' I am Amun the Egyptian Sun'' the fiery column suddenly died down and I was staring at a Egyptian man who was roughly 25 his skin seemed to glow and it radiated warmth and power his hair was black and his eyes where a fiery gold. He smiled at me and said ''wake up'' ''wake up Percy wake up'' said an entirely new voice I opened my eyes and realised that I had passed out. ''What happened are you alright'' said a girl Jaz I think her name was ''I am fine'' I said she looked at me oddly ''I am fine I swear look'' I showed her and I stood up and walked a few feet ''good she answered '' because we could not have two new trainees passing out in one day'' ''two'' I asked her '' yeah you're friend Summer passed out''. ''Show me where she is'' I asked Jaz. ''She's this way'' she said ''follow me'' and she rushed forward with me right behind her.

We almost made it to the med bay but suddenly a tremor passed through the building and a feeling of darkness pulsed through me ''Shadow Walker'' said Amun. And without even thinking about I searched for the epicenter of the tremor and found myself in the same room I fought Bast in and right in the center of the room was Max. I looked around the room and saw that the entire room was leveled ''woah dude I thought I was dangerous'' Max looked around and I said ''how did you do that'' he looked around again as if in shock '' I don't know'' he said I smiled at him and said ''well tell me when you figure it out because I would like to be able to do that'' he smiled back and I said ''So have you seen Summer because I have somethings I would like to clear up with her'' ''yeah she's in the med bay'' Max said. Suddenly a fresh wave of worry spread through my body. ''Don't worry she's fine look I''ll show you'' and so he did.

When we entered the room I sat on the chair near her bed and I stared at her face and noticed a strand of her blond hair was on her face. I reached out and curled it behind her ears. Her face was pale and she was sweating. ''I just wish I could figure remember my life so that I could figure out why this place makes me feel so edge'' ''You'll figure it out man I know you will'' said Max, I wanted to say ''yeah but how, I mean I don't feel like I belong'' but Max had already left the room. I thought about my mental argument with the statue of Thoth and remembered what he said about a camp. That must be my home I thought I mean if it was precious then it must be my home but why isn't anyone looking for me I mean wouldn't they notice I wasn't there and what sort of camp is it? I let out a long sigh and I just looked at Summer waiting for her to wake up but within a few minutes I fell asleep and of course dreams found me.

In my dream I was on a beach the waves where lapping on the sand and a storm clouds gathered over head. The smell of salt water rejuvenated me and I felt at peace for the first time in along time but that was all ruined when I heard crying. Curious I walked forward and so someone with long golden blond hair tanned skin and grey eyes that were bloodshot and puffy because she was crying. An intense feeling surged through me that made my heart rate race so fast it was like I had just taken an adrenalin shot. '' Where are you'' she said to herself '' how could you just leave, I am crazy about you and you leave me'' she sighed and said her voice breaking ''where are you Seaweed Brain''. Those last towards brought back a feeling of joy to me. Suddenly someone burst through the bushes on to the beach and he h-had hooves? ''Annabeth come quick'' said the half man half goat teenager ''Chiron found a son of Hades outside the camp border and it's not Nico''. ''Coming Grover'' the girl Annabeth answered and with that she raced off but not before she said ''where are you Seaweed Brain'' again and suddenly the landscape changed. I was in cave of some kind with shadowy tendrils surrounding someone like a cage. I walked forward and saw that inside the cage was a buff golden grandpa. ''Good Percy you are here'' ''who are you'' I asked the golden grandpa '' and why did you bring me here''. ''I am Ra and as for why you are here it is because I want to talk to you''. ''Then talk'' I said Ra smiled at me and said '' a dark force is rising something powerful, ancient and mightier than any god''. ''If it's more powerful than a god what can I do''? ''You can stop it from rising and save me'' ''from what'' I asked him ''from the dark force engulfing me and using my power from raising it's own Destroyer army'' ''Destroyers?'' I asked ''Anti gods more powerful than anything you've ever faced each designed to destroy an Egyptian god and it's Greek opposite''. Woah beings powerful enough to take on gods but something told me I faced down beings that powerful before. ''Why me?'' I asked Ra ''because you are the greatest hero alive'' and just like that I was in a different place. I was in forest of some sort and I was looking at some kid who looked very familiar and was surrounded by a large group of people all in armor. The kid had black hair sea green eyes and was relatively short and not that athletic he was wearing Greek armor and had a bronze sword and a shield that was far to large for him. He was standing in a creek and his armor had three large slashes across it. He had a green hologram above his head that was shaped like a three pronged fork, a trident I realised. ''My father'' he said addressing the centaur in front of him. ''Poseidon, The Earth shaker,the storm bringer, the father of horses all hail Perseus Jackson son of the Sea God''. Thats me I realised my name is Percy Jackson and suddenly I was swept away to another place. I was under water and I was drowning my mouth was filled with water and I was choking I screamed as I ran out of oxygen and passed, then I was somewhere else I was in a giant maze as I looked forward and so a mist of death race towards me then finally I was in the same place as I had been when I talked to Ra but I was outside the cave summer was lying on the ground next to me and she had a terrible cut across her stomach and was loosing blood very quickly she was pale and she seemed to be in an immense amount of pain. She's dying how can she be dying I wondered. I looked away from her and it didn't look much better I was watching myself I was on the floor panting. Anger and hurt where visible in my eyes. Suddenly Max walked out of the cave his body oozing black shadows. He looked around and smiled he suddenly slammed me down into the ground and said ''I am sorry Percy but this is my destiny'' he opened his palm and the Summers soul drifted into him and she lay there dead. ''NOOO'' I screamed as I watched her die. Max turned to me and said ''don't worry Percy you're next'' and I could only watch as Max lifted his palm, I could only watch as my soul left my body, I could only watch as I dropped to the floor dead.

I woke with a start sweating and panting. I looked at Summer's bed and noticed that she wasn't there. No I thought I quickly got up and saw a vague shadow wandering the halls. Summer I hoped, I followed that person until I found my place in a what looked like a Throne Room. My steps slightly echoed in the throne room and if this person was hostile I couldn't take any chances so silently I uncapped my Riptide and the meter long bronze sword appeared in my hands. I looked round the room and noticed these visions or windows I guess and each one showed a different the person in front of him slowed down and watch two kids with what looked like a miniature statue of a red snake chanting. The two kids finished saying there words and the snake exploded it's guts flying everywhere. I took one more step and the person in front of him turned and in a flash I pointed his blade at the figure and it was in fact Summer. ''Sorry'' she said ''I heard a noise''. I capped Riptide and said ''what is this place'' I said '' I don't know'' she answered. Okay Percy thought as Summer walked froward and suddenly a new vision appeared in the hall. This is getting weird I thought but considering what happened today it's not the weirdest thing thats happened to me. Suddenly a blaze of fire erupted on Summer's shoulder, I uncapped Riptide and brought to her shoulder in an instant. The fire dimmed down and a fiery bird sort of like a small eagle made of fire was standing on her shoulder. ''don't worry'' she said '' it's just my pet phoenix...'' she thought for a moment ''Pyro'' I smiled at her and she blushed. After a few seconds Summer suddenly said ''time for what'' I looked at her like she had gone mad ''sorry she said Pyro spoke in my mind''. She turned around and faced the new vision she slowly walked towards it as if she was in a trance. The moment she got to it she looked straight at it and put her head right through the vision, I stared at her for about five seconds before she jerked violently and fell to the floor. I rushed forward and caught her there was sweat forming on her brow her skin was pale and her eyes where wild like she'd been driven mad by what she saw. ''That was horrible'' she said with a shudder ''what'' I said ''what was horrible'' but she didn't answer instead she screamed so loud I thought my eardrums where gonna burst.

End of Flashback

And know here I am walking towards what could certainly be my doom. We walked outside onto a terrace and standing there was Amos he was wearing a perfectly tailored blue suit with blue glasses and a red tie. ''Welcome'' he said in a tone that sounded like he was generally welcoming us but I was still anxious. ''Tell me everything that happened to you in this past hours'' I was reluctant but Summer stared for us, she said everything from the field trip this morning to her passing out in at one right up to the point where Zia called us. Amos looked at us his face expression unreadable and after an unbearable few seconds he said ''you have no memory'' ''yes'' I answered sceptically ''please'' he said ''come with me''. I was hesitant to leave Max and Summer alone because they where the only people I truly trusted since I awoke with amnesia. ''Fine'' I answered and with that Amos took me away from the terrace.

On the way there we run into a baboon who grunted at me like the mere sight of me being here was an insult. ''Calm down Khufu'' Amos said to the monkey. ''Please he said lets walk and talk''. '' So he said what do you know of Egyptian gods'' I couldn't bring myself to lie so I said ''they have weird animal heads''. He smiled at me and said ''that's an interesting t-shirt you're wearing but why are they letters in Greek''. '' I don't know'' I answered. He looked at me too see if I was lying. ''GET OUT'' said a voice in my head, it was different from the other voice I'd heard not as wise as Thoth, no this voice was violent and evil. ''GET OUT NOW'' ''NO'' Amos voice boomed ''remember my dream, he could be the key to finding Carter''. ''I don't care he is Greek'' the voice retaliated ''no Set me and Zia have already fought about this and I told her not to search for Carter until he gets his memory so we will wait''. ''I WILL KILL HIM'' said Set ''I said No Set'' Amos answered ''you don't understand it wasn't a request''. Suddenly Amos body glowed a bright red and red mist spread across the floor taking the shape of a man with a canine like head. The mist form looked towards me it's fingers crackled with energy it raised it's palm and bolt of energy sped towards me but just before it hit me an fiery orange form that looked like Amun appeared in front of me and attacked Set. He absorbed the energy and sent it back to Set ten times as powerful, Set crumpled and fell the mist surrounding both me and Amos died down and Amos stared at me sweating ''impossible'' he muttered and I was about to try explain that I had no clue what just happened when a powerful explosion rocked the mansion.

When me and Amos reached we found out that it was not an explosion but the sound of a portal being opened up on the terrace monsters run out the portal in packs each terrifying each deadly. Teens and kids that I hadn't seen all say where in the room there was a kid running around jabbing a carved stick at monsters saying random things as she did. There was another kid summoning penguins and throwing balls made out of ice at the monsters and making frost. Another levitating rocks and throwing them at monsters and of course there was Zia throwing massive fireballs and shooting streams of fire at every monster in her sight range and then there was Sadie her body glowing with a multicolored light casting powerful spells and disintegrating monsters. I looked for Max and Summer and I found them throwing everything they saw at the monsters. I smiled and thought lets do this I run forward with incredible speed and attacked every misshapen creature I saw cut, dodge, slice, roll ,jab my mind went on autopilot and every monster that came near me died instantly. I run forward and heard someone yelp in pain but I ignored the sound and was told by Amun to say ''maw'' suddenly gallons upon gallons of sea water surged around me and I controlled it and made into a giant tidal wave that smashed over two dozen monsters. I run forward and sliced Riptide into the ground and giant tremor caused a fissure that a lot of monsters fell into I then moved forward and felt an unnatural surge of heat pulse through my body and I let it loose in a stream of fire Amun I thought. I rolled and then summoned a giant maelstrom in the terrace lightning flashed disintegrating monsters gale force winds knocked the monsters over and balls of hail the size of footballs smashed into monsters with very loud crunches and after about a minute of this all the monsters retreaded except for one it had a bow in it's hand and it smiled at me and said ''death'' and it run off into the portal. I was slightly bewildered but I was too happy about the fact that my new friends where OK. Everyone rushed towards me and patted me on the back but suddenly Zia screamed ''NO'' I turned to see Zia lying next to a girl she kept shaking her saying ''please wake up''. ''No'' Amos whispered his voice hollow he ran forward and said ''Sadie please get up'' everyone walked slowly and there lying on the floor was Sadie her face was pale and slightly green she had a bloody arrow in her heel and dark green veins were clearly visible on her lower leg and her eyes were shut. Realization dawned on me the monster smiling and the yelp I heard before I summoned water. The monster had poisoned Sadie Kane and judging by the speed of the poison she had about a week to live.

Cliffhanger mwahaha well that's all for this chapter and I hoped you enjoyed it. I will probably upload the next chapter in the next two weeks Please Read and Review because I need feedback.

Oh and to those who are wondering what the time frame for this story it's one day in the morning Percy fought Victor in the afternoon Summer makes a phoenix then passes out and the goes into the hall, while Max tries to become a better magician and this battle takes place at sunset.
