As the last voices from the common room drifted away, Hailey pulled on her cloak. It was high time she well and truly familiarized herself with the castle, and what better way than whilst invisible?

She considered returning to the third floor corridor, but her heart told her she had to leave that alone, at least for now.

Hailey's heart was given full charge, and Hailey soon found herself outside a plain looking, unused classroom.

Why here? She thought, as she opened the door and slipped inside, quiet as a wraith.

A large mirror stood at the other end of the classroom and as Hailey came to stand in front of it, slowly removing her cloak, she gasped.

Inside the mirror was a dark haired teen, looking very much like herself. She was scrolling through a cell phone in one hand, flipping through the channels of the television with the other.

A red haired woman entered the room.

"Hailey! Oh darling, you've got to start doing something with your life! And texting that Luke of yours indent doing something!"

Mirror Hailey opened her mouth to respond, but the woman cut her off.

"No buts, or else I shall turn off the wifi!"

Mirror Hailey's eyes widened. "Dad! Mum's threatening the Wifi again!"

A dark haired man bolted into the room like a jack-rabbit.

"Lily! Darling flower, love of my life! Anything but the wifi! Please, I beg of you!"

The red haired woman, Lily, Hailey's mother, rolled her eyes.

"Your lucky your father's a comedian Hailey, else you'd have been without wifi a long time ago."

Mirror Hailey just smiles, and speaks softly.

"I know mum."

The next night Hailey returns to the mirror, eager to see the next part of her normal life. She is not disappointed.

"Hailey, your cell is ringing!" Lily calls out from what Real Hailey assumes is the kitchen.

Her mirror self races through, grabs the phone, and answers it.

"This is Hailey, what can I do for ya?"

The person on the other end says something and Mirror Hailey's face lights up.

"Luke! I wasn't expecting you to call, it is only a day after Christmas. Yes, I did get the cat. Honestly, you spoil me!"

Mirror Hailey pauses, as Luke speaks.

"What do you mean come outside, it's snowing!"

Somewhere in the house, a doorbell sounds.

Mirror Hailey whips around to face her mother.

"Is that..."

"Yes! Now don't make him wait any longer!"

Lily pushes her daughter out of the room, not that she needs any more urging.

Hailey's view changes, and suddenly she is outside what must be the Mirror Potter's front door.

Its Luke standing there, but he's different. He's happier, and his face isn't scarred.

Hailey realizes with a start, that her mirror self had no scar either.

The door opens, and Mirror Hailey tackles Mirror Luke in a hug, and the both wind up rolling around in the snow.

Hailey sighs wistfully. So this is normal.

Hailey waits outside the portrait of The Fat Lady for Harmony. She has told her friend the events of the two previous nights, and wants to experiment.

The portrait swings open, and an eager looking Harmony hops out.

"Hailey? Where are you?"

Harmony looks around the corridor frowning.

Oh, of course. Hailey pulled off the cloak, and Harmony nearly screamed. Hailey signaled her friends silence with a finger to the lips.

Harmony nods, and softly asks : "Where did you get an invisibility clock? Quite impressive one too."

"Found it on my bed two nights ago, with a note saying it belonged to my dad. I've been exploring, and I found this mirror. It shows me amazing things. I want to test and see if it shows you something different."

Harmony's eyebrows raised.

"Hailey. My dear friend. Are you quite aware of how completely insane you sound. A mirror showing you things?"

"I'm not going to turn it the Evil Queen!"

Hailey let out a small giggle, proud of herself for the reference.

Harmony's eyebrows shot even higher.

"The evil what?"

"You know from Snow- Oh, never mind!"

Hailey takes her friends hand, and throws the cloak over them both.

"Now follow me. And be careful, we can still be heard."

Hailey studies her friends face as she stands in front of the mirror.

"Usagi Shiro..."

Harmony looks wistful, reminiscent. She's said "Usagi Shiro" four times in the past half an hour alone.

"Who's Usagi Shiro, Harm?"

Hailey's soft question breaks Harmony out of the revere which the mirror has brought her. Turning away from the mirror, she sits on the ground, and gestures for Hailey to do the same.

"Usagi Shiro is not a who, but a what. It means White Rabbit in Japanese. when I was little, I wanted to be a singer. I was going to call myself Usagi Shiro, and make myself have rabbit ears. I loved that dream. I wonder why the mirror showed it as a reality?"

Harmony's story confirms what Hailey already knows.

"I have come to the conclusion that it shows our deepest desires. For you, it's to be Usagi Shiro. For me..." She trails off, unsure of what to call her wish. "I what to be normal. I want to have two living breathing parents. I want to be a girl without magic, without a scar, without fame. I just want to be normal. Oh, gods, why can't I just be normal!"

A/N: Ummmmm, hi guys.

So this chapter was really hard for me to write. The content may seem a bit strange, and not at all like our usual Hailey, but this is the downward spiral of doom. After this, Hailey's life begins to fall apart. It's a slow process, but I was very reluctant to but it in motion.

But, on a totally different note, I've survived two weeks of high school. As a freshman with no idea of what would happen, and no idea of who was in my classes, I must say, I think I did well. I didn't do fantastically, but I did well.

I love you all so much. Did you guys know we hit 20,000 views a couple days ago? I was soo happy, and I couldn't have done it without you all. In the words of Austin Moon ( Or Ross Lynch, or Disney) "There's no way I could make withoutcha, be here withoutcha!"

Disclaimer: American High school female does not own Pjo, HP, nor anything Disney. She just really likes all three.
