3rd person Pov.
The Akatsuki and Cody were sitting around on the couch and the ground as they watched Alex pace around nervously while talking.
"Okay, my number is on the fridge, if anything happens, somebody gets hurt or anything, let me know." Alex said still pacing around, the other's were watching as she freaked out.
"Don't worry Alex, everything will be fine." Konan said, Alex looked at her and nodded.
"Yeah, your right." Alex said trying her best not to pass out, she looked at all of them and nodded.
"I'm going to work, I'll be back later to check on Cody and I'm taking Zetsu to a garden center to buy some new plants and later I'm going to come and pick up Cody, we need to sign some documents and then I'm going to take a vacation and show you guys around." Alex said nodding her head. She suddenly looked them all over and narrowed her eyes. Alex turned to Konan.
"Keep an eye on them, please." Alex said and Konan nodded.
"Especially on Cody." Alex said and Konan nodded again.
"Okay, I'm off." Alex said taking her bag, jacket and keys.
"My number is on the fridge and you know how to call me!" Alex called as Cody followed her to say goodbye, she crouched down to his level.
"Kiss." She said and he ran to her and hugged her kissing her cheek while she kissed his forehead.
"Okay, see you later." Alex said and Cody waved.
"Bye!" he shouted waving while Alex got into her car, started it and drove off. Cody was still at the door and watched as the car disappeared into the distance. He turned around and walked into the house as Konan closed the door.
Cody walked back into the living room where everyone was sitting and talking.
"What will we play?" Cody asked them and they looked at him with a frown.
"Hmg hmg, hmm!" Hidan mumbled because of the strings. Konan walked around the corner and glared at them making them gulp, they have no choice.
"I know! I know!" Cody shouted smiling widely.
"Let's play hide and seek!" He shouted and they frowned.
"Hide and seek? Is that a game for good boy's?" Tobi asked putting a finger to his mask.
"Yeah, somebody counts and the rest go and hide. The first person to be found is the next one to count and then the ones who are found out will go and search for the others!" Cody said and they all nodded.
"So, who will count?" Kisame asked and everyone looked at him, he blinked and sighed.
"Fine, I'll do it." He said and everyone got onto their feet as Kisame leaned to a wall.
"How long do I need to count?" he asked and Cody smiled at him.
"100!" he shouted and Kisame nodded. As he turned around and began to count everyone disappeared and Cody ran to the window and hid behind the long curtain unaware that his feet were visible.
After a good two minutes everyone was hidden and Kisame finished counting. He turned around and rose an eyebrow 'It's so quiet' he thought looking around and then his eyes spotted the small pair of feet. He smiled and slowly got closer.
"I wonder where Cody is." He said getting closer and saw the feet shift a little making the whole curtain move.
"I can't seem to find him, of I will have to look around here." He said moving the curtain a little making Cody giggle.
"Oh, what was that?" he asked and then suddenly moved the curtain to the side grabbing Cody and lifting him into the air.
"I think I found him!" he said and Cody laughed in delight. They soon went on and found everyone. Leander was the last though, Kisame had seen his a while ago but didn't point it out. Cody did and pointed at the Leader but Kisame was looking in the other direction going 'Nope, I don't see him!' and walked away along with some others leaving a confused Cody to follow them.
It was Cody's turn and he turned to the wall beginning to count.
"1,2,3,7,99,13,14,63,19,23,29,75,33,…" Some of them looked at each other and suppressed a laugh as the small boy counted. It was cute to hear him count like that. They all hid and after some seconds they could hear small footsteps running around, giggling.
They all made themselves a little visible so Cody could find them, they knew he's just a child and can't find them as easily because they're ninjas and he's just a child.
This time it was Sasori's turn, he began to count and everyone hid somewhere. After a while he began to search for everyone and he found everyone except two people.
Cody and Tobi.
They searched the whole house but couldn't find him, by now Konan was panicking because she lost Cody.
"Don't worry, we will find him." Pain said and Konan nodded beginning to look around.
"I'm going to kill Tobi, un!" Deidara shouted as he raged thinking it's Tobi's fault.
"We don't even know if it's Tobi who did something." Kisame said and they all seared a glance and sighed.
"Tobi." They said and before they could search more the phone rang.
RIIIING RIIIING RIIIING RIIIING
Everyone was in the room in a second and nobody dared to pick it up.
"What if it's Alex, un?" Deidara asked and the others shared a look.
"She's going to kill us if she finds out we lost Cody." Kisame said and the others nodded.
"Who will pick up the phone?" Sasori asked and everyone looked around and then they all looked at Kakuzu.
"Kakuzu, you will pick it up." Pain said and Kakuzu narrowed his eyes and picked up the phone anyways.
"Hello." Kakuzu said and he could hear Alex on the other side.
"Hey Kakuzu, it's me Alex I'm coming home, I'll be there in about 30 minutes." He heard Alex said and put a hand on the phone so she couldn't hear him.
"She'll be here in 30 minutes." He told everyone who's eyes widened.
"Tell her to take her time." Konan said and Kakuzu nodded.
"Hello?" he heard Alex ask and he grunted.
"Take your time." He said and the others sweat dropped.
"Okay, I got to go to the Garden Center with Zetsu so tell him to get ready I'm coming to pick him up so we can go flower shopping." Alex said and Kakuzu frowned and grunted again gripping the phone tighter.
"You're spending too much money on the plant." He said and the other's shook their head at him. Alex hang up and he put the phone back glaring at it.
"She will come back to take Zetsu to the Garden Center to go and buy plants." He glared at the ground and walked away, nobody stopped him.
"We have 30 minutes to find him, yeah?" Deidara asked and the others nodded. Then Pain took control of this situation.
"Deidara and Sasori will take the second floor, Kisame, Hidan and Itachi will search this floor, me and Konan will search the garden, go!" he said and they all nodded and went to search their floors.
Itachi used his sharingan and Kisame tried to look around but they didn't find anything. Hidan just sat down and watched television.
Sasori and Deidara were arguing and didn't look in all the rooms.
Pain and Konan looked in the garden… well, what's left of the garden. Pain found Zetsu and told him of the situation.
After 20 minutes of searching and arguing they all met in the garden looking worried.
"Did anyone find him or anything to where he could be?" Pain asked and they all shook their head. In the distance they could hear the door of the house open and close.
"What will we do, un?" Deidara asked and they all looked at him. Then Konan got an idea.
"Sasori, go and get Alex, we will take care of the rest." Sasori nodded and went inside to get Alex. Konan turned to Deidara with narrowed eyes.
"Use a jutsu to turn into Cody, your personality is close to be the same, and don't talk about art and don't use your little 'un' or 'yeah' behind every word." She said and Deidara narrowed his eyes at her.
"Hey un!" he shouted and Pain glared at him along with the others.
"Just do it!" Kisame said and Deidara made some hand signs and with a poof Cody stood there glaring at them.
"Everyone, do something to look busy and 'Cody'… go sit down and just watch." Konan said and they all went to train while 'Cody' sat down and pouted.
"Cody, where were you, I was worried!" Alex said, 'Cody's' eyes widened and he looked around unsurely.
"I'm not mad or something, I was just worried." Alex said and smiled at him, making 'Cody' smile at her as well. She then picked him up and he blushed a little. Because she was holding him tightly to her chest.
"Kiss." Alex said and Cody hesitantly kissed her cheek and then she kissed his forehead. Pain and Itachi saw this and couldn't help but glare at 'Cody' who was actually Deidara.
"Where are Tobi and Deidara?" Alex suddenly asked, some member's eyes widened.
"The brat's flying around and exploring the area and Tobi went with him" Sasori said making everyone sight relieved. Alex put Cody down and looked at them.
"Okay, just make sure they don't get caught by anyone and that they don't trace them back here. Let's go Zetsu!" Alex said and she and Zetsu went to the Garden Center to buy some stuff.
In the meantime Pain and Itachi were glaring at Deidara who was smiling cheekily. Hidan was glaring at him as well, he got to hold onto her twins! He thought angrily and began to walk around and kick the ground from time to time.
"Okay, we have a few hours before they come back, we have to find Cody!" Konan said and they all went to find Cody, Tobi was long forgotten.
After 3 hours they could hear the car parking and plants being unloaded. Kakuzu almost fainted and Deidara turned back into Cody, Pain glared at him along with Itachi.
"I have to say hi to Alex-chan! I hope I get hugged again." He said and Pain ran after him, they ran downstairs and 'Cody' jumped into Alex's arms.
"What's wrong?" Alex asked them.
"Nothing, we were playing ninja and your brother is very fast." Pain said and Alex smiled.
"Really? You hear Cody, you're a ninja." She said and carried him to the car.
The other's were at the door looking at 'Cody' who was grinning at them.
"Yeah, I'm a ninja un!" he shouted and they narrowed their eyes.
"He's going to blow it." Kisame said and Sasori sighed.
"I'm going." He said and walked outside to the car and got in. They soon rode off and everyone looked at one another.
"She's going to kill us f she finds out." Kisame said and they nodded.
"It's all my fault, I didn't keep a good eye on him and now he's gone." Konan said worried and they all pouted.
"How can he just disappear?" Kisame asked as Kakuzu could be heard from the background running behind Zetsu, trying to kill him for spending so much money.
"Hm hu gmhmm." Hidan mumbled with a mischievous look and grin. The other's looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"You're not telling anyone." Pain said and Hidan pouted walking away.
"Deidara and Sasori were looking on the second floor… right?" Everyone turned to look at Itachi, Pain nodded.
"Were they arguing when they came back?" he asked and Pain nodded again.
"They were arguing about art again." Kisame said and Itachi narrowed his eyes.
"Could they have forgotten to look in some rooms while arguing?" he asked and it got silent.
"Let's go and look." Pain said and they nodded, Itachi activated his Sharingan and used it to look for chakra.
After a few seconds he could make out 2 figures in a room. He went straight to the room as the other's looked in other rooms. He opened the door to find Tobi and Cody sleeping.
"I'm going to kill him." Konan said as she looked at the sleeping Tobi who probably caused all of this. Itachi went inside and took Cody into his arms. Cody slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them sleepily. As he walked out of the room everyone was glaring at a frightened Tobi.
"Is Alex back yet?" Cody asked them and Itachi shook his head.
"We are going to her." He said and Cody smiled and nodded happily. Itachi could feel Sasori's and Deidara's chakra so he only followed them. He snuck into the building and found 'Cody' and Sasori sitting on a bench arguing about art.
"Let's go." Itachi said and 'Cody' nodded with a frown. Itachi put Cody down and dragged Deidara with him. As they walked down the road Itachi saw a big restaurant with some delicious looking food. He went in and used his Sgaingan to order everything on the menu.
It just turned out to be pizza.
He made Deidara carry everything. When they got home Itachi too, the pizza's as Pain dragged Deidara away.
Everyone put up the table waiting for Alex, Cody and Sasori. As they arrived Alex rose an eyebrow at the food.
"Wow, who cook?" She asked as everyone looked at each other.
"Itachi took care of it." Kakuzu said looking pleased.
"Haven't Deidara and Tobi come back yet?" Alex asked Sasori who happened to stand next to her.
"They were trying to do something so Leader-sama punished them." Sasori said, Alex nodded and frowned.
"What did they do?" She asked.
"Something bad." Was all Sasori said as he walked away. Alex sat down and they all eat the pizza happily. Hidan seemed to the happiest, making the other's glare at him.
Chapter 9 is done, I hope you guys like it. Cody and Tobi went missing but were just sleeping up stairs. Because of the constant arguing Deidara and Sasori didn't find them, lol.
But eventually everything turned out goo, anyways. I don't own anything.
