As I said, here is the double update!

Chapter 17

The Doctor and Amy were visiting Vincent van Gogh. Amy and van Gogh were talking, and drinking.

"Your hair is orange." Vincent said, leaning in towards Amy.

Amy leant in. "Yours is too." She smirked.

Were they flirting? No, no they couldn't be flirting. Amy was engaged.

Well, engaged to a non-existent man she didn't even remember.

The Doctor sighed. He looked to his side and saw a Rose bush. He was suddenly overcome with a wave of sadness and it took all his strength not to cry out. He put his hand on his face. Wet.

Crying over a rose bush. Maybe he was finally going mad in his old age.

He quickly wiped his eyes, leaving no traces of tears. There was no point in crying over something that didn't matter to him.

Rose had felt it. She had felt when the TARDIS had moved.

Mainly because she had passed out.

She now had a big cut on the back of her head where she hit a rock when she fell. If it was going to be like that whenever the TARDIS moved, she didn't know if she would be able to handle it.

"Of course you can."

Rose jumped and looked to her left to find the Bad Wolf casually leaning on a tree beside her. "Don't scare me like that!" Rose hissed.

The Bad Wolf, now known as Wolf, just chuckled. Slowly, she approached Rose and placed her hand one the back of Rose's head, right where the cut was. Rose tried her best not to flinch.

She saw Wolf's hand begin to glow and the pain slowly diminished until it wasn't there. "Now, isn't that better?" Wolf asked, smiling.

Rose nodded.

"I am afraid that the TARDIS will be moving again soon, and this time it will be much worse." Wolf said sadly.

"How do you know?" Rose asked curiously.

"I have what you would call a 'gut feeling'" Wolf said, almost teasingly.

Rose knew what that meant. She had had gut feelings before, such as the day when she had first been separated from the Doctor and she knew something was going to go wrong, or maybe the night that John had died and she had known nothing was going to work out in her favor that night.

"Just give me a big bottle of whiskey. Maybe then it will hurt less." Rose said sarcastically.

Wolf laughed and put her arm around Rose. "Your sarcasm is most amusing."

Rose shook her head. "I'm not kidding. How can I stop it from being painful?"

Wolf just sighed, and shook her head like Rose had moments before. "I have no idea. All I can think of is that you aren't standing up when the TARDIS moves."

Rose shot forward and collapsed in the field, putting her hands behind her head. "Is this good enough?"

Wolf giggled softly, and lay down next to Rose. "Yes, yes it is."

Wolf suddenly pulled out something and placed it in Rose's hand. She glanced at it to see that it was her pink iPod shuffle that the Doctor had bought for her almost eight years ago.

Her headphones were attached to it. "How…?" She began.

Wolf just smiled. "Just… just something I had on hand."

Rose stuck the ear-buds in her ears and turned on the music. The Doctor had also 'enhanced' this device so that she could download music in different time periods.

Right now the song was 'Demons' by Imagine Dragons, a song she had heard when she and the Doctor (the tenth one) had visited 2013 Florida.

How appropriate.

And suddenly Rose felt it, it was like the pain she had felt in the void right before she went on her 'no more' rant. She let out a cry of pain and looked beside her to find Wolf, but she wasn't there.

Rose was alone.

Black spots danced at the edges of her vision, drawing closer and closer until the completely blocked out her vision, and she passed out.

Rose woke up in the same place she was in the field when she had passed out, but there was a small circle of dead grass and flowers surrounding her. Rose shot up, ignoring the shooting pain in her head, and looked around.

"I did this?" She said to herself. Rose had failed to notice that the field was darkening, and that time actually passed here.

She ran her hand through the dry grass.

"Yes." Wolf said. Rose didn't flinch, not this time.

"You left me." She hissed. "You left me when I was in pain and helpless."

Wolf knelt down next to her. "I did not leave you; I used my energy on you. When the TARDIS moves, you are open. That is when I change you. That is why the grass around you is dead. It was the energy."

Rose looked into Wolf's eyes and saw that she was tired and weak. The eyes always gave it away. "It's draining you." Rose whispered.

"Not draining me, connecting us." Wolf said.

Rose just sighed and shook her head. "How long was I out?"

Wolf, almost reluctantly, said "About a day or so."

Rose just bowed her head. "So, time does pass here." She was trying to change the subject.

"Yes, it does. And you do not have a place to rest." Wolf told her.

"I think I've had my fair share of rest." Rose chuckled.

Wolf just sighed. "There is a little house on the edge of the North side of the field." She disappeared.

Rose stood up and looked around. The sun rises in the East, so it would set in the West… if this was in 'Earth ways' as she called it.

Rose looked at the direction the sun was setting, and set off towards the North.

After five minutes of walking, Rose realized how big this field actually was. She could see the little shack, but it was practically a dot in the distance. She started to jog instead of walk, and in about three more minutes she reached the hut.

Rose opened the wooden door and stepped inside. It was small, but very cozy looking. There was a fireplace with a fire inside it on the left side of the room (if you were looking in from outside the door).

There was also a bed next to the wall across from Rose, and an actual, working stove, oven, and sink on the right side.

There was also another door that Rose was pretty sure led to a bathroom, if the Bad Wolf knew what she was doing.

And the Bad Wolf sure did know what to do.

Rose checked the cabinets and found a kettle. She made some tea and sat down on the rug in front of the fire place.

Rose sipped her tea and stared at the flames. If she was going to cook things she probably needed a refrigerator. Maybe she could find Wolf and ask her for one. Suddenly there was a shuffle behind her and rose turned around to find the source of the noise.

Next to the stove there was a refrigerator.

"Thanks." Rose whispered.

Looking at the fridge, most likely filled with food, Rose realized the extent of her hunger. Her stomach growled as if to say I'm hungry, feed me!

Rose sighed and stood up, setting her mug next to the stove and opened the refrigerator. Sure enough, there was food inside.

After closing the fridge, Rose checked a cabinet and found some bread inside. She pulled it out and cut off two slices. She put a pan on the stove and turned it the heat on. When it was hot enough, Rose buttered her bread and place one slice in the pan.

Rose took some sliced cheese out of the fridge, placed it on the bread, and placed the other piece of bread on top. She flipped the sandwich over and toasted the other side. When it was ready, Rose stuck in on a plate and cut it in half. She smiled, Rose had always loved grilled cheeses after her and the Doctor (the ninth one) had visited a little diner in Arkansas in 2010.

Rose bit into the sandwich and smiled, it tasted just like it did at the diner. Rose poured herself a glass of water (yes, there were glasses and a pitcher of water) and took a sip.

The Bad Wolf sure did know exactly what to do. Even though this was supposed to be a safe haven, Rose still had to have her basic needs like food, water, shelter, clothing, and, also important to Rose, and nice shower.

Rose opened the door on the other side of the room and there was a bathroom. Rose quickly showered, and found some clothes draped over the edge of her bed into other room. Rose dried herself, dressed, and set the outside on a clothes line to dry.

Seriously, Rose had thought that this was a hut.

She laid down in her bed a tried hard to get some sleep, but just couldn't, so she sat by the fire all night, sipping tea and thinking about how she would find the Doctor.
