"Lord Kazekage, she is now securely in a top guarded cell as you requested." A messenger had promptly informed the man behind the desk piled with papers.
"Good, now there will be no more to worry about. You are dismissed."
"Thank you, sir," and he left as quickly as he had come.
The kage then continued with his paper work, but it was not long until his office door opened once more. "Why?! Just why, did you put an innocent girl into prison?!"
"You are able to learn of events quickly, aren't you?"
"That doesn't answer my question!"
"You shouldn't yell at the kage of your village."
"And you shouldn't put innocent little shinobi in prison!"
"Control your temper dear."
"I am only saying the truth. Now answer me!"
"You have no business in this case." He still kept his eyes on the characters of the paper as he listened to his daughter's rampage.
"Well you don't have any mercy for growing shinobi! Isn't that why the Shukaku is in my brother?! Military force?!"
He paused, surprised by this comeback from a genin. He had never heard anything like it from some of his own jonin. 'She's becoming very intelligent.'
"Then what was I supposed to do with someone who had killed two journeying messengers of the village? She cannot be 'off the hook' as they say. She could kill more..."
"Hinata wouldn't hurt a thing unless there were a reason."
"Then why did she kill her own parents?"
Temari stood shocked, not believing that her little Hinata could have done such cruelty. "No... NO! She couldn't have! She doesn't have the strength..."
"Are you forgetting that she is the possessor of the gentle fist? I wouldn't underestimate her skill if I were you. You could be the next one on her list to kill."
"NO! I won't believe a word you say against her!"
"Well all evidence leads to her charge. She is to pay even if she is the key to success."
"You said THE SAME THING ABOUT GAARA! STOP CAUSING SO MUCH PAIN TO THESE POOR CHILDREN!"
"Keep your voice down or else you'll wake Gaara from his nap."
"You FOOL! He doesn't even sleep at night! But, I will find the real evidence and make you release her from Hell." And with that done so quickly as it started, she stormed out of the office like a hurricane.
'Poor selfish, little Temari,' the Kazekage thought to himself. 'You're so-called "leadership" will be your downfall one of these days.'
"Why can't I find a damn book in here about agreeable argumentation?" After the conflict with her father, she had gone to the small Suna Library to find some research on pleading a case for a prisoner. However, she found no luck. "Why is Luck never in my favor? Can't I have one day that things can actually go well for me!"
"Excuse me ma'am, but could you please tone your voice down? I can't read when someone's being so loud. Oh my..." Matsuri had not realized that she had just been trying to order around the monster's sister and she immediately kneeled in apology. She pleaded in her young, some-what squeaky "Please forgive me Lady Temari. I hope I did not upset you by my rashness."
"You call that rash? I've had so much worse, so there is nothing to worry about. Hey, what's your name? You look familiar but I can't think of your name."
"Matsuri, ma'am. I'm glad I did not disturb you too much." At this, the little brown-haired girl finally stood up to converse in a more proper manner than a turned-away head.
"Wait, aren't you Hinata's sister?"
Shocked and mad, Matsuri stared at her feet with teeth clenched tightly, barely getting out, "That person is no sister of mine. She's a traitor and deserves to be punished to the maximum, even death for killing her mother and father."
"Wait, what exactly happened?"
"It's none of your business so STAY OUT OF IT!"
"Please, just tell me and maybe I'll be able to help you in some way. Like give you money from the government to support yourself."
"I hate the stinking government! They're the ones who sent my parents in the first place!"
"Ok ok, but they could still help you with food, housing and stuff. Hey, what about free school starting the next year?"
The one thing Matsuri longed for: knowledge of the life of a shinobi. "Fine, but no judging me if I cry or something. It's still raw and it hurts." Tears were already starting to flow from her eyes.
"Hey, don't worry, I've lost my mom and my dad doesn't act like much of a dad so my uncle had basically raised me but he's dead too. So I won't judge."
Matsuri gave a small smile from encouragement from hearing she wasn't the only orphan in the town.
"Ok, so I told her that I had to go give something to mother as she had forgotten it and she insisted on coming with me. Nearly as soon as we got there, it was chaos and mom and dad were nearly dead. So she tried doing her 'self-taught' medical ninjutsu which turned them to an ash color and killed them for good, murdering them on the spot. So I ran back and reported her the next morning."
"Wait, you say she tried medical ninjutsu?"
"So she called it. Looked like a murdering jutsu to me."
"That explains it! Thank you so much Matsuri," as Temari dashed off back to the Kazekage's office. Matsuri watched as the wind storm rushed out. 'She's actually pretty nice. I wonder why her brother is so terrible then…?' Shrugging her shoulders, Matsuri went to sit back in her chair to read, seeing if she could get a head start on the road to a ninja.
