Guyssss sorry I've been gone but on the bright side I finally worked up the courage to update "A Life Together."

I swear Dan and Phil are the most random YouTubers in YouTube history.

Sorry I just had to say that after watching Phil kiss a plasma ball and put his face on Cassandra the trampoline's.

Chapter 24

The Dalek began firing and the Doctor picked up the satellite dish to protect the others (though he didn't like to admit it, mainly Rose) and himself. He blocked a beam with the dish and it sparked, causing him to stumble backwards in surprise.

He jumped back down the hatch and sealed it with his sonic once he was on the other side. He spun around and grabbed Rose, pulling her close. He would protect her to his last breath.

"Doctor, come on!" River yelled. The Doctor turned to face her, but instead ended up staring down the barrel of River's gun. She was pointing it towards the hatch. He put one finger on it and lowered it down.

He'd always hated guns.

"Shush. It's moving away, finding another way in." The Doctor said, letting Rose go but still keeping hold of her hand. He checked his watch, which was on the wrist of his other arm. "It needs to restore its power before it can attack again. Now, that means we've got exactly four and a half minutes before it's at lethal capacity."

He rushed past them and down the stairs, dragging Rose with him. "How do you know?" Rory called.

"Because," he said, stopping and turning to face Rory, "that's when it's due to kill me."

He felt Rose flinch beside him and he rubbed circles on the back of her hand with his thumb, letting her know that he was there.

River whipped around. "Kill you?" She exclaimed. "What do you mean kill you?"

"I know how you feel." Rose mumbled as the Doctor took off again, the others following.

The Doctor didn't stop running as he said "Oh shut up, never mind."

He looked at Rose, knowing he was being rude but he was doing it for their sake. He drank in Rose's appearance , knowing very soon he was never going to see her again.

As they ran down the many flights of stairs, he studied the long white coat that she was wearing. It made her look absolutely stunning and he couldn't help but imagine them having more than just their friendship they had now. If you could even call it a friendship anymore.

He had never liked the idea of 'domestic' but after he met Rose, after he started falling for her, it seemed like a possibility. That possibility intensified when they were reunited while he was in this regeneration. But now they were never going to have that future.

He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. "How can that Dalek even exist?" He exclaimed, trying to draw his attention away from the fact that he had to leave the woman he… no, best not think that right now. "It was erased from time and then it came back!"

They entered another corridor. "You said the light from the Pandorica!" Rory said.

"It's not a light, it's a restoration field. But never mind, call it a light." He said, and Rose stomped on his foot. Probably trying to signal that he was being rude again. "That light brought Amy back, restored her, but how could it bring back a Dalek when the Daleks have never existed?"

The Doctor stopped in the center of the corridor and the others surrounded him. He noticed that the room they were in now had some exhibits about dinosaurs. He glanced at one and immediately thought 'wrong.' He shook his head. No time for correcting museums right now.

"Okay then, tell us." Amy said.

He smiled and started walking again, getting ready for a big rant about technical stuff. "When the Tardis blew up, it caused a total event collapse. A time explosion." He said, glancing at Rose. "And that explosion blasted every atom in every moment of the universe. Except-."

"Except for inside the Pandorica." Rose finished for him. Oh, she was brilliant.

He kissed the top of Rose's head and she blushed. "The box contains a memory of the universe, and the light transmits the memory, and that's how we're going to do it."

He started walking faster. "Do what?" Amy asked.

"Relight the fire." He smiled, the smile that said I'm the most clever person in the universe and there's no telling me otherwise. "Reboot the universe."

"Uh…" Rory mumbled, his mouth opening and closing as the rest of them ran off. The Doctor watched as Rose sighed, grabbed Rory's hand, and ran.

"Doctor, you're being completely ridiculous. The Pandorica partially restored one Dalek." River yelled, catching up with the Doctor as Rose came to stand beside him. "If it can't even reboot a single life form properly, how's it going to reboot the whole of reality?"

The Doctor smiled his clever smile again. "What if we give it a moment of infinite power? What if we can transmit the light from the Pandorica to every particle of space and time simultaneously?"

"Well that would be lovely but we can't because it's completely impossible." River said, obviously annoyed with him.

"No, but it' not." He bopped Rose on the nose for no apparent reason. "One spark is all we need. Only one spark for Big Bang Two."

He turned around, and knew that this was it. Knew it because he heard his watch beep signaling that the twelve minutes were up.

Rose smiled as the Doctor got his I'm clever look and turned around to lead them on. Suddenly she heard the unmistakable sound of a Dalek firing, and she screamed. The Doctor was illuminated by the Dalek's beam and he fell down, letting out a moan of pain.

"No!" Rose screamed, falling down next to him. "Not again!"

"Rose, get back!" Rory yelled, but she didn't move. She heard him fire at the Dalek, probably using his literal hand gun. It powered down.

Rose placed her hands on his chest where his hearts were, tears streaming down her face. "Don't die. Please don't die."

"Just like last time." The Doctor choked out. "Except this time, there's no regeneration." Rose shook her head, more tears leaking out of her eyes.

He closed his eyes, his hand creeping towards his vortex manipulator. "No, don't you dare!" Rose yelled, but she was too late, and he disappeared in a flash of light.

"Don't you dare." She repeated, even though it was hopeless.

"Where did he go?" River asked, her voice choked up with emotion.

"Down stairs." Rose said through her silent sobs. "Twelve minutes ago."

"Show me!" River yelled.

Rose didn't looked up, still staring at the spot the Doctor had been moments before. "River." Rose whispered. "He's dead."

Ahhhhh, even shorter than last time. I'll update again soon to make up for it.
