A/N: In chapter 20 (I think) I mentioned Ella was 16 but since then I have said she is 18 so just so you know she is 18 not 16.
Chapter 28
Zoe.
The weekend had passed quickly and it was soon back to work and school.
By the time Friday came both Ash and I were exhausted, we had both worked a double shift from Thursday evening to Friday afternoon me taking my break to take Jess and Sharice to school Friday morning.
We both finished at 2 so went home to try and have some time alone before school ended and the house was filled with noise and kids.
We got back to the house and were making our way upstairs when we heard a noise coming from Ella's room. Ash was immediately there, opening the door and walking in.
"Ash don't…" I tried but I was too late.
"Ella, what's going on?" He said as he entered.
"DAD!" I heard her exclaim.
I just sighed, no alone time then.
I heard a scuffling and then Jake ran out a minute later, topless.
"Ella, I'm disappointed with you." Ash was saying.
I decided to go and change, leave him toe read the riot act. I had been in my clothes for nearly 24 hours, I was exhausted and needed to shower.
I came down an hour later at 3 and Ella and Ash were sitting at the table in silence.
"Hey guys, how's it going?" I tried.
""My dads so annoying, that's how it is Zoe." Was the response I got from Ella.
"Ella thought it was ok to bring Jake over and have sex with him." Was what Ash gave me.
"Right, ok. Well, Ash, Ella is 18 we can't legally stop her from having sex. Ella your dad cares very much for you that's why he doesn't like the idea of you having sex." I explained.
"But its not fair, we haven't had any time to ourselves since we got together, the only time I see him is when you invite him round for dinner or we go shopping, to a coffee shop or just out but we never have no time without other people there. That's why I brought him back here today. I really like him dad, Zoe. Really like him." Ella said.
"You should have asked us first." Ash said, still upset.
"Yes, Ella you should have asked us, we would have probably said yes, but Ash, she is an adult, she lives here, its her home. She can bring anyone here she wants, we just want you to tell us Ella."
"But then you would have given me a lecture."
"We only want you to be safe El, you're really important to us." I assured, sitting next to her and putting my arm on her shoulder.
"Ok, I'll let you know next time, but please don't give the 'safe sex' talk!" she smiled.
"Fine, just make sure you are protected." Ash smiled slightly, still unsure and hurt.
"Right, I'm going to pick Jess and Sharice up from school, Ash go and have a shower and change, Ella can you tidy the lounge or just watch tv or something until I get back? Please don't fight, I want this sorted fully before I get home." I said picking up my keys, and going off to the schools.
