Remember: Artemis doesn't know Dick is Robin. Just in case some of you skipped that Important Info chapter. I'm excited for you to read this one.

Bethany's POV:

Right when Robin began to slow next to Artemis' bike, I was already jumping off of our bike and tossing the helmet onto the ground. I reached a set of steep stairs. I slid down the handrail all the way to the bottom of the stairs to the docks.

Next to the docks, there was a steep cliff. At the bottom, I was sure there was water, considering we were at an harbor.

"What took you so long?" Artemis had her hands on her hips. She was in full costume already.

"We... Got held up."

"I can see that," she said, motioning to the burned material of my sleeve, "And who's 'we?'"

"Artemis!" Robin said as he finished the rest of the stairs.

"How'd he get here?" Artemis crossed her arms, "You said the others wouldn't be able to come that soon."

Robin waved his hand at her saying, "Don't worry about it. We have to concentrate on Klarion. He should be here any-"

"You ran away from me! Bad little children!" Klarion appeared out of nowhere a couple feet away from us near the docks. He stood right in front of the cliff.

Artemis, Robin, and I immediately took a three way defensive formation.

"We're not... Afraid of you... Ummm... Witch boy!" Artemis yelled out, stuttering. She had an arrow already knocked in her bow and had it pointed straight at Klarion.

"Wow. Way to sound confident," I grumbled at her. I slipped out my knife from my boot.

"There's three of us and only one of you!" Artemis tried again. I mentally face palmed. She lowered her voice so only we could hear, "Better?"

Klarion only cackled, red electricity dancing across his fingertips, lighting up his face in a reddish glow.

"Artemis, we are the only three non super powered people on our team. And we're fighting a Lord of Chaos. Do you really think the numbers matter right now?" I grumbled to her.

Robin ignored us and said, "We defeated your little fire minion. Didn't anyone ever tell you not to play with fire?"

"Ohh that's good," Artemis and I whispered to each other.

"Don't be so sure," Klarion replied, sounding more and more like a snake, "It'll take more than just your little toys to get rid of her."

As if on cue, a streak of fire shot through the sky and came to land next to Klarion. The flames receded to reveal the flame bitch. Since she wasn't controlling huge flames at the moment, I got to see what she looked like. She was toned and slim and looked to be a girl around our age, but it was difficult to tell because she was wearing a black half mask which concealed her true identity. She wore a really short and tight red dress and black knee high boots with platform heels. She looked more like she was dressed more for a fashion catwalk rather than a fight. Her hair was completely made out of flames and they danced on her head. I could see her glowing eyes from here. They were little flames flickering and glowing in her eye sockets, so I couldn't see what her eyes looked like. She put her hands on her hips, looking at us like we were her next meal.

"You didn't tell us you were working with a teenage prostitute!" I yelled at him.

"Ohh good one," Artemis said.

But I wasn't playing anymore. Klarion was bad enough. We barely had enough firepower to simply distract him. And now there was another one. And it had taken everything to just knock her out for a few minutes. This wasn't going to end well.

"Meet Blaze. My new protege," Klarion held out his hands towards the slutty looking girl, "And boy, are you in for an introduction. Blaze, be a dear and get rid of them."

"My pleasure," she said. Her voice was sweet and sickly and dripped with malice. It sounded slightly familiar, but I couldn't place it.

Dick pulled out some smoke pellets and extended his staff, ready.

"Does everyone have their comms on?" He asked quietly. We all tapped our ears in response, "Good. Take her out. I'll deal with Klarion."

And with that, Blaze charged us. She had a full head of fire and was throwing balls of flame at us. Artemis and I dodged separate ways as she flew past us. Robin used a couple smoke pellets and disappeared, reappearing next to Klarion and they started sparring. Klarion yawned and threw a couple of magic bolts at Robin from his hand while checking his nails with his other, looking bored.

"Artemis, you flank front. I'll take her from behind," I commanded, hoping she could hear me through her comms unit.

"You got it," she responded.

Blaze turned around, only to get a face full of foam arrows. I crept up from behind and used Blaze as a punching bag. I couldn't touch her too long because her skin was hot and it kind of burned. Luckily, Artemis and I had fireproof equipment, thanks to the Batman.

Artemis and I worked together like a machine. She would volley arrows at Blaze and then I would attack from the back. It was one of the first duo tactics we learned with Black Canary.

I got to the stage where it felt like my instincts took over my body. My body was just a puppet, my mind and my instincts were the master. Punch, dodge, kick, flip, kick, dodge, etc. Then Artemis and I would switch off. We were attacking her from two different sides.

"So," Artemis was breathing heavily into her comms, "How was that, how should I put it? Impromptu make out session with Dick?"

"I got him out of there. I put him," I grunted from the effort it took to roll out of the way from a fireball, "in a safe place," I kicked at Blaze's knees making her fall, "That's why I had to take him out of class."

"Oh yeah. Sure," Artemis and I flipped over Blaze in sync, "Yeah he looks pretty safe over there," she said as she motioned to Robin flipping over Klarion and throwing explosives at him.

"What?" I feigned confusion, "I don't know what you're talking about."

I down kicked hard to Blaze's head when she was down, knocking her out.

"Come on," Artemis said. She had her hands on her hips and we were standing over Blaze's motionless body, "What's the chance that both you and Dick leave class and end up arriving here at the same time. Just in different clothes. Together."

"Guys. Now is not the time to discuss this," Robin was panting. I could hear it through the comms.

"Okay, DICK," she put emphasis on the name before smirking at me and running off to join them. I shook my head at her back and continued after her. Robin and Klarion had been battling near the cliff.

"You guys think you can defeat me?" Klarion cackled evilly at his own question, "I am a Lord of Chaos. You guys don't even have powers!"

"Yeah but we have a brain," grumbled Artemis as she jumped into my hands and I tossed her over Klarion. She extended her foot, ready to smash Klarion's head in. Klarion looked up and sighed. He snapped his fingers and Artemis froze in midair before being tossed aside, sparks of red magic danced across her keeping her in place.

"You, too," Klarion pointed at Robin. From Klarion's finger, a bolt of electricity shot out at him. Robin didn't dodge in time and got blown back. I took this opportunity to kick Klarion square in the jaw.

"Ugh," he rubbed his jaw and looked back at me, "I've been waiting to fight you this whole time."

My gaze never wavered. I stayed on my toes, bouncing occasionally and keeping my hands up in front of me. No mercy this time. Robin popped up beside me along with Artemis. We regrouped.

"Back to Plan A," Robin whispered.

"I call the cat," I whispered back.

All at once, Artemis and Robin dove at Klarion while I dove for the cat. While Klarion was distracted, he couldn't protect his cat with that shield.

I took out some exploding pellets and tossed them at the cat. The cat screeched. When the smoke cleared, I didn't even hesitate. I picked it up and tossed it over the cliff. No mercy there. Whoops.

"TEEKL!" Klarion screeched. He completely ignored Robin and Artemis, who were still trying to get him, and dove after the cat. Head first. Over the cliff.

All three of us rushed to the edge of the cliff to peer down. There was no sign of them. They were gone. Klarion probably zapped himself and his cat somewhere else so that he could assess the damage on the cat.

I looked at Artemis and then at Robin.

"So, did we do it?" I was shocked. That was it?

Robin blinked, "I guess so."

"But, that was too easy. It can't be over yet," I said scratching my head.

"You're right, Bethany. It isn't," a sickly sweet voice behind me.

My head snapped back around, my heart in my throat, ice sliding down my back. Did Blaze just call me Bethany?

Blaze was standing, unscathed, like all her wounds had healed.

"Who's Bethany?" Artemis asked, her voice firm and taunting. She didn't like this, either. Robin and Artemis stepped up beside me. Always my bodyguards.

"You heard me Artemis Crock. And don't look so surprised... " she smiled and her teeth gleamed when she directed her attention at Robin, "Richard Grayson."

Both visibly tensed next to me and Robin clenched his hands.

"I don't know who you're talking about," Robin said, his voice was like ice and sent chills down my spine. Uh oh. If she knew Dick was Robin, that meant she knew who Batman was. She knew who the Dark Knight was.

"What do you want? Why are you doing this?" I demanded. I stepped forward, ready to claw her pretty little eyes out.

"Oh, wouldn't you like to know?" Her smile widened in a wicked and sinister grin. Before we could trap her, she shot off into the sky in just a beam of fire, leaving us dumbfounded.
