Chapter XXXI:
After Sasuke and Hinata said their thanks and goodbye to Mifune and Takashi, they dropped by at Kumogakure for a short visit to deliver a package from Hiashi to the Raikage before finally returning back to Konoha.
The sun is already high in the sky when they arrived in Konoha, a cat masked anbu recognizes them and acknowledge their return.
"Uchiha Sasuke and Uchiha Hinata, you are to report your arrival to the hokage as soon as you're able." The cat masked anbu said in a deep cold voice.
"Hn." Sasuke muttered and pulled Hinata along with him.
"Should we drop by the Hyuga compound first?" Sasuke asked holding Hinata's hand tightly.
"We could visit otousan tomorrow, you really need a rest now Sasuke-kun we've been walking nonstop since yesterday."
"Fine.."
"Hai."
"Yakiniku?" Sasuke queried glancing briefly to his wife.
"Yes…" Hinata nodded.
Sasuke and Hinata went to the Yakiniku house team 10 usually goes to.
Choji immediately recognized them, "Hey isn't that Sasuke and Hinata?" he said his chopsticks on his hand snipping more meat that he could get.
"Where?" Ino asked looking at the direction of Choji's eyes. "Yes, it's indeed Hinata and Sasuke come on guys join us!" she said ushering the two new arrival to join them.
Hinata look at Sasuke first gauging his reaction if he will agree or not.
"Fine.."
Shikamaru moved from where he was sitting to seat beside Ino to give his place to Sasuke and Hinata however Ino insist that Hinata take a sit beside her while Sasuke had no choice but to take a seat beside Choji.
"It's been a month how's your honeymoon Hinata,"
"Ah, yes it was good?" Hinata answered unsure of what to say while picking some of meat on her chopsticks.
Ino's eyes glint as she lean towards the timid girl's ear whispering something to her that makes her blush.
"Ano…" Hinata blushed furiously and buried her face to her hand, "I can't say it!"
Ino chuckled, "It's fine you don't need to say anything I was just trying to pull your leg Hinata-chan." She said with a sighed then she leaned her back on the wall sighing so sad that even Hinata noticed it.
"Ino-chan are you all right?" Hinata said quietly while glancing at the boys across them Sasuke and Choji (as much as she was surprise to admit it) are getting along.
"I'm jealous of you Hina-chan.."
"Eh?" Hinata said surprise by the blonde's remark.
"I hope the lazy ass will have the courage to ask me to marry him! That stupid lazy jerk…" Ino said containing her anger but her fist is twitching. "I mean imagine Hinata we've been together since before the fourth great ninja war Sasuke and you are already married even Choji is married! Imagine it Choji IS married of all people!" she now shouting every word she say getting the attention of their team mate. "I don't what Karui sees to Choji though!"
"Hey! What's with that Ino? What's so shocking about me being married…"
"Shut up Choji I'm NOT talking to YOU!" Ino said her whole body trembling in anger.
Hinata sweatdropped at Ino's antics, "Calm down Ino-chan…"
"I am calm!"
"Why don't you just ask her to marry you it's so annoying to hear her complain about this everytime we're all together." Sasuke said annoyed by Ino's shouting and angry outburst.
"I don't think I'm ready to commit yet." Shikamaru said while resting his chin on his fist.
"If you don't do it Ino might lose her mind and propose to you first instead." Choji commented.
"Geez, this is such a drag…" Shikamaru sighed.
"You call me a drag?! Huh Shikamaru!" Ino roared in anger scaring Choji, and the every single customers of the restaurant except Sasuke who looks bored, Hinata and Shikamaru who was already used to the blonde's outburst.
"You've done it now Shikamaru.." Choji paled as much as he hate to admit it he was still scared by Ino.
"You're SUCH a jeeeeeeeeerk!"
"Will you marry me?"
"What?!" Ino, Hinata and Choji ask at the same time while Sasuke chocked on his food.
"That was unexpected…" Hinata said cutting the silence between them.
"Yeah..." Sasuke nodded even he Uchiha Sasuke was surprised and chocked on his food when he heard Shikamaru proposed to Ino.
"But still I'm happy for Ino-chan she waited for such a long time for Shikamaru to propose to her.."
Sasuke scoffed, "Well she'll be disappointed though knowing Shikamaru he'll be too lazy to plan his own wedding.."
Hinata laugh softly, "I can imagine that happening.."
As they arrived at their current home, the caretaker Mako greeted them.
"Welcome back Uchiha-sama and Hinata-sama, I hope you both enjoyed your honeymoon. Shall I prepare lunch for you?"
"No we're fine Mako-san, thank you but we already ate lunch before coming back here…"
Hinata cleaned Sasuke's wound and applied the balm the doctor from Mifune's castle gave her before they rest from their long journey. The following morning after eating breakfast, they both went to the Hokage tower to meet with Kakashi.
Upon arriving there they noticed their former academy instructor Iruka having a hard time balancing pile of documents on his hand.
"Ah…Iruka-sensei let us help you.." Iruka turned to look at the two flashing them a warm smile.
"Hinata and Sasuke welcome back to the Leaf village…" he said while Hinata took some of the load from Iruka's hold.
"Sasuke-kun…" Hinata turned to face her husband motioning her to also help the older ninja.
"Do I have to?" Sasuke said almost complaining.
Hinata only gave him a "If-you-don't-help-I'll-be-angry-at-you-look" with that the raven sighed.
"Fine…"
"Hey Kakashi I brought some papers for you to sign…"
"What?" Kakashi groaned in disappointment.
"Don't give me that look Kakashi all of some documents here are long overdue you have to work on it stat!" Iruka said strictly to Kakashi.
"Why can't I get a more tolerable and cute secretary…"
"Shut up!" Iruka said angrily smacking THE hokage with a scroll on his hand.
"That hurts!"
Hinata sweatdropped at the sight of the "Honorable" Hokage being smacked by its secretary.
"Well Kakashi you haven't change a bit still being taken care of Iruka…"
"Ah… what do you know Sasuke…" Kakashi said finally acknowledging the presence of the two with a bored look on his face.
"I thought you'd be extending your leave."
"No there are things we have to do as soon as possible." Sasuke said nonchalantly.
"Such as?"
"Uchiha compound construction, getting your approval on a business I'm planning."
"Am I hearing those right and clearly from Sasuke?" Kakashi take a look at the young couple in front of him, a month ago they were looking like strangers and now they look like lovers?
Kakashi coughed, "I see so you need my approval regarding the reconstruction of Uchiha compound and your business."
"Hai Kakashi-sama."
"About this business, what is it exactly?" Kakashi asked with interest beaming.
After they were done talking with Kakashi, they decided to pay Sai a visit regarding to the construction of their "future home". When they got there Naruto and Sakura are already with Sai.
"Oh, if it isn't Sasuke-teme…"
"Dobe.."
"…" Sakura didn't say anything but she watch the two new comers interact with Naruto and Sai.
"So Sasuke you okay now?" Naruto asked his bestfriend about his injuries.
"Yeah I'm cool…"
"So anyway shall we continue what we we're talking about…" Sai said his smile never leaving his face.
"Did you know that Shikamaru proposed to Ino-chan yesterday" Hinata said out of the blue.
"Whoa…Really? That's great!" Naruto exclaimed.
"I should congratulate them when I have a chance…" Sakura muttered to herself.
"The four of you guys are so abnormal…" Sai said gaining the attention of the foursome. (Namely Sasuke, Hinata, Naruto and Sakura)
"Meaning?"
"I've been wondering why Hinata fell for Naruto and then to Sasuke…" Sai said thinking hard. "Then Naruto left Hinata for Sakura and then Sasuke went to rescue Hinata...and now after all that happen the four of you are able to be here in the same place as each other..."
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Well I guess Sai is right…the guy I used to have feelings for is already married and or maybe I've been abused by those two (Naruto and Sasuke) by these two for so long…" Sakura said with a sighed.
"Nah, don't say that Sakura-chan…" Naruto sweatdropped.
"On the contrary Sakura is happy and Hinata is too…"
"Ah I get it now! Even before Sakura and Hinata…Naruto has fallen in love with Sasuke's penis as well as his face, hence the problem is solved…" Sai said happily.
Making the other four….well not so happy…
"I don't know what the hell is he saying but it pissed me off…"
"What the hell Sai?!" Sakura growled angrily.
"I've told you so many times Sai don't say anything about my penis…" Naruto said trembling in anger.
"And what do you mean by attracted to my what?" Sasuke said activating his sharingan.
"Sai-kun even my patience will run out…" Hinata said trying to calm herself.
"What's with everyone? Why are the aura's surrounding the four of you becoming darker?"
"Get a clue moron!"
Sakura pulls her gloves out of her pocket while cracking her knuckles.
Hinata is concentrating chakra through her fist.
Sasuke unsheathes his katana
While Naruto transformed to his bijuu mode.
HELL is gonna go down!
