Chapter XXXIX
Hinata activates her byakugan and went into gentle fist stance when Toneri slowly approaches her.
"Why do his eyes seem like penetrating through my soul, as if surrendering to him?" Hinata asked herself.
"My name is Toneri Otsutsuki and I have come here for you Hinata, you are meant for me not to Uchiha." Toneri said smoothly smiling at her, his eyes never leaving hers.
"D-don't come near me." Hinata said stuttering her heart beating rapidly in her chest, when he's only a step away from her she faints into Toneri's arms.
"Don't you think it's about time we fulfill our destiny my hime?" Toneri said looking into Hinata's face as he carries her in his arms bridal style.
Beneath the rubble that crushed down on his body after his drop from Shin's Asura attack, Sasuke slowly lifts his injured body. Doing so only puts more strain on his body and he coughed blood but he still pushes his body because he needed to, he can't give up for her.
He closes his left eye to activate a dojutsu he last used during the war his rinnesharingan. His left eye when he reopened it his eye color changed into purple that has six tomoe spilt between its first two ripples. With his rinnegan he opens the Preta path to absorb chakra near him and when he had enough chakra he heals his body using the healing power, and when he's healed he moves out of the debris catching his breath when he do so.
"You have rinnegan as well?" Shin asked in disbelief when he saw Sasuke's left rinnegan eye.
Sasuke glares at him coldly but before he could do anything Toneri again appeared in the air, this time carrying Hinata in his arms.
"So you are still alive? Shin we are leaving, finish him already."
Shin looked up to his master and to Sasuke who is now covered in the black flames of amaterasu. Before Shin could do anything, Sasuke's complete form Susanoo manifested in front of him, holding a black flame orb in its right hand.
"What is that?" Shin thought to himself.
Sasuke's susanoo tosses the black orb towards Shin and while Shin is focusing on defending the upcoming attack Sasuke formed a fully charged chidori in his right arm wrapped with amaterasu's flames that burns his arm in the process. Blinded by rage he didn't mind the pain in his arm as he uses susanoo to toss him towards Toneri ready to punch him with his chidori infused with amaterasu.
"What? You will hurt Hinata with your rage!" Toneri makes a barrier big enough to put Hinata inside and prepares to defend himself from Sasuke's attack.
"This is for laying your hands on my wife!" Sasuke snarled in anger before hitting his chidori infused with amaterasu fist to Toneri's right hand with a truth seeking ball he just molded.
When Sasuke's chidori infused with amaterasu collided with Toneri's truth seeking ball a huge explosion can be seen throughout Konoha with the impact destroying everything it reached.
"I have to give it to you Uchiha, however this is the not right time and place to know who is stronger between us." Toneri said in Sasuke's ears while holding him by the neck after the explosion for Sasuke is now weak due to too much chakra usage for using susanoo, amaterasu and chidori at the same time.
Sasuke slowly opens his eyes and looks at Hinata still unconscious inside the barrier slowly lifting his right arm that is badly burned to reach her.
"Hinata."
With a green orb he used earlier against Jugo and Suigetsu in his hand Toneri hits Sasuke's chest with it completely draining his remaining chakra before throwing him down back at the ground.
"Shin we must leave now." Toneri said as he takes the still unconscious Hinata inside the barrier to carry her.
Shin manages to evade Susanoo's attack to him earlier but to the extent of using his chakra for using Shinra Tensei as a barrier. With an ounce of chakra left in his animal path he summons a large crow to ride it to fly to his master.
"Men return to our place!" Toneri ordered to his men before disappearing along with Hinata and Shin.
Toneri's men also disappear almost instantly so is the golem who destroys everything in its path.
"Call for Tsunade sama and Sakura!" Kakashi said and rushed towards the battleground where both Sasuke and Naruto are lying unconscious in the ground.
Toneri's hideout is located somewhere in a hidden location that only he and his men know. Even if his location is located going inside is not easy for managing the maze is hard and is being guarded by Toneri's puppets ready to kill anyone who will dare enter.
Reaching the main hallway of his castle, Toneri is greeted by a servant.
"Welcome back Toneri-sama."
"Is my princess's room prepared already?" Toneri asked while still carrying Hinata.
"Yes, it was prepared according to your instructions."
"Hn."
Toneri carried Hinata to her room where he laid her gently on the bed and covered her with a blanket. He looked at her beautiful sleeping face one last time before leaving her room.
"Give her anything she wants, she'll be waking anytime soon. I just put her to sleep so she will not see the destruction of her village." Toneri said to his servant and walked towards his room to rest his tired tenseigan eyes.
Once Toneri left Hinata's room Shin was already by his side threatening him with kunai knife on his neck.
"You're promise…" Shin said emphasizing every word he said his rinnegan eyes glaring at the older man.
"I want to see her…"
Toneri sighed, "If you're talking about Rin she's fine as long as you do as you're told…"
"Rin…" Shin called out to his sister who was sitting by her wheelchair facing the window. Once she heard his voice she turned around to follow the voice of her older brother.
"You're back big brother…" she smiled her hand reaching for her brother's hand who took hers so she didn't have to reach out to him since she's blind and she couldn't see him.
"It's been awhile are you alright? You didn't hurt yourself at work did you?" Rin asked worried to her brother her other hand tracing on her brother's cheeks.
Shin for the first time in many weeks smiled with his usual cold demeanor vanish in front of his sister. "I'm fine but I've heard you got sick I'm sorry for not being there for you…" Shin said softly as he caressed his sister's cheek his other free hand rearranging his sister's hair at the back of her ear.
"I'm fine Sayoko-san has been taking care of me so you don't have to worry about me…" Rin reassured her brother but her smile turn into a pout, "Sayoko-san's good to me she takes care of me but no one's better of taking care of me than you…"
"I'm sorry Rin I was on a mission…" Shin said feeling sorry for not being there for his sister when he promised that he will always take care of her.
"I heard from Toneri-san that his fiancée has arrived and that I should visit her when she wakes..." Rin said changing the topic of their conversation.
Shin's mood turned grim at the moment Rin speak of "Hinata" Toneri's 'Fiancee' after all he was one of the reasons why she was brought here in the first place.
"Yeah…" Shin said as he left no room for conversation about the certain girl.
"I'm excited to meet her it'll be nice to meet another girl other than Sayoko-san." Rin frowned, "Though is she pretty? You have to tell me big brother since I'm blind I couldn't see her I feel pretty bad though…" she continued smiling happily.
"I don't want to talk about her Rin…" Shin said sharply as his mood turned sour 'he hates Hinata' he hates her for being the way she is and it bugs him because she was nothing but good to him and yet…
"Are you…going for another mission after the last one again?" Rin asked out of the blue. (Sensing the change of mood of her older brother)
Instead of answering Shin sighed, "Don't worry Rin when all these are over you will never have to stay at this place and we'll be free…"
Rin clutches her brother's hand to hers her once happy face turned worried once again, "Please big brother don't do something that will put you in danger…"
"Don't worry Rin everything will be fine…"
When Hinata opened her eyes she was in an unfamiliar place.
"What happened where am I?" She asked to herself and called for the person she wanted to see.
"Sasuke-kun?"
Hinata rose from her bed and went out of her room but she saw a young beautiful girl a year younger than her wearing blue kimono with long raven black hair tied into a bun with dark blue eyes sitting on her wheel chair with an older lady behind her.
"Rin she's awake…" Hinata heard the older lady said to the girl who smiles at the news.
"Hello Hinata I'm Rin I've heard so much about you…" she said while the older lady push her wheel chair closer to the bed where Hinata is.
"Uh…how did you know I'm…"
"It wasn't a secret that you're Toneri-san's fiancée…" she said solemnly that's when Hinata noticed something is off on the girl. She wasn't looking at her while talking to her so…
'She's blind!'
As if noticing Hinata's concern she smiled, "Yes, I'm blind but don't let it bother you…"
Hinata shook her head, "Ah…no just…" she remembered the events that happened before she lost consciousness and activated her byakugan to look through the castle.
"I have to go my husband must be worried about me now." Hinata panicked.
"I know you are worried for your husband now but it will be better for you if you just go by what Toneri-san wants if you want to live long enough to see your husband again."
"But-"
"I know Hinata but Toneri-san will not hurt you he likes you, besides that with your condition now I'm sure he won't try anything that will hurt you…"
"W-What do you mean?" Hinata asked uncertain on how to interpret what Rin just said.
"You don't know? You're pregnant…"
