Chapter XL
"Dad where are you going?" Shin asked his dad noticing his father leaving the house in the middle of the night.
"I have to leave Shin…" His dad said softly kneeling down his level, "Your father has to protect you and your mother…"
"Protect? Why? What do you mean father don't leave us please!" he begged his dad his little hand clutching on his dad's shirt his tears threatening to fall from his pale lavender eyes.
"Listen to me Shin you have to be a brave boy now…you have to be strong for your mother protect her like it's the last thing you'll ever do…because I couldn't do that anymore…" his dad said his big hand over Shin's small frame.
"But I can't I'm just a child…" Shin said his voice cracking as his tears continuously streaming down his cheeks.
"Someday you'll be…"
"Dad I don't want you to leave…" He begged but his dad just smile at him and patted his head one last time… he then watch as his father turn his back on him he waited for his father to look back but he never did…
He wait and wait for his dad but a few years passed his father never returned.
"Are you enjoying your stay princess?" Toneri asked while he's giving a tour of his place to Hinata who only looks down at her feet not meeting his gaze.
"You're still thinking about him aren't you?" He stopped walking and forced her to look into his eyes.
With tears warning to fall from her eyes she said, "How could I not think about my husband?" Hinata puts her hand over her chest.
Toneri didn't say anything but in his mind Sasuke's doom is already set. And Hinata have no idea what's about to happen.
"Hey teme do you really have to always activate your rinnesharingan and sharingan all the time?" Naruto who has now cut his spiky hair shorter, wearing a black konoha forehead protector, black long sleeves jacket and black pants with black ninja sandals. His right arm is tightly wrapped in white bandages.
Sasuke just glares his dojutsu eyes to Naruto. He's hair is no longer spiky at the back for it reaches just above his shoulders even his bangs are longer to cover his left rinnesharingan eye, he's wearing tattered light brown poncho over his white high collared short sleeves jacket with the Uchiha fan and Hyuuga flame embroidered at the back. He also wears black pants where a purple obi is tied at his waist in which he carries his and Hinata's sword and black ninja sandals. His right arm that is burnt from the encounter with Toneri is tightly wrapped in black bandages.
"Are you related to Shin?" Hinata couldn't help but to ask Rin when she noticed the resemblance of Shin and the young girl while Sayoko a trusted confidant of the siblings is helping her wear a white ceremonial kimono Toneri provided for her.
Rin paused for a minute before speaking, "Yes he is my older brother."
"There you look stunning young miss is there anything you would like?" Sayoko asked nonchalantly.
Hinata shook her head sighing, "No, this is enough thank you Sayoko-san…"
While Shin was overlooking in a tower over the maze of Toneri's castle he kept on thinking about Naruto and Hinata's words and closed his eyes looking back at the events that led him to where he is now.
Rin hummed a tune while she and Sayoko (her mother's friend) play creating different shapes of animals and flowers with the glossy and assorted colored papers. Days has been really boring for her it's been two years since her older brother left for the land of Snow to work as a body guard.
"I'm back…" the owner of the voice announce and Rin immediately recognized the voice and was overjoyed she excitedly wheeled her chair towards the direction of the voice she longed to hear for god knows how long.
"How are you Rin?" Shin asked kneeling down to his sister's level.
"I was worried about you big brother!" Rin said hurriedly hugging her brother with all of her strength.
Shin chuckled.
"You've been gone for two years! I was worried aaaaand I missed you!"
"I'm fine Rin but I won't be if you don't let go…I can't breathe…" Rin realized what he meant and let her brother go.
"I-I'm sorry…" Rin apologized sheepishly.
"It's all good…" Shin smiled while staring at his sister' face longingly. His sister is kind-hearted and the most patient girl despite the fact she was handicap by her blindness and her inability to walk. She always face the world with that unwavering smile on her face. Though in private she would throw tantrums to get attention from him which he finds sweet.
Her sister is so innocent she doesn't know the things he did in order see her. In fact he shouldn't even holding her pure hand with his impure once. His hands has since long stained of blood he couldn't even count how many people he killed using his hand.
But he kills for his sister…to give her a better chance of living peacefully in this world full of suffering and war. Whenever he looks at his sister's fragile condition his sister in a wheel chair and blind. The once happy go lucky girl he knows gone… and now she's stuck in a wheel chair for god knows how long. Just makes him so angry.
"If only I had the power If only I'm strong enough…this wouldn't happen…"
Back then Rin just turned two that night they were attacked by a hunter ninja. It turns out that his step father was a rouge ninja witnessing their parents killed Rin suffered a trauma so hard that she lost her ability to walk and she closes her eyes and never opening it again because of what happened. And that significant moment that he awaken his rinnegan.
To make a living and support his younger sister he became a ruthless killer a wandering ninja without master.
Good or bad…
And so if killing Naruto and Sasuke…
Destroying a village
He doesn't care in order to save his sister he will do everything that has to be done.
Later that night during dinner, Toneri eats with Hinata in a long table facing each other. After eating their dinner, Toneri asked Hinata to walk with him in the garden which she blindly follows.
"You've been with me for almost a month now hime but I haven't told you anything about my master plan." Toneri said behind Hinata's back inhaling her lavender scented hair while running his long pale fingers on her hair.
Toneri's ministration sends Hinata's hair in the nape of her head stand due to nervousness.
"Master plan?" She asked stuttering she's uncomfortable whenever she's talking with Toneri making her stutter again.
Toneri chuckled darkly, "I will make you my bride and then when the right time comes we'll go to my real castle in the moon and destroy this pathetic world created by mistake. Together we'll raise your child while I create a new world for us to live in."
