Chapter XLVI
"No no no no…" Sasuke keep on repeating those words inside his mind but whatever he do he couldn't get the view of cold lifeless body of the woman he loves in his arms. He felt drained his body felt powerless. No matter what he do no matter how many times he shake her body she wouldn't wake up.
"H-Hinata…nata…Hinata…"
Sasuke kneel in one knee supporting Hinata's body with his arm as he used his other free hand to maneuverer susanoo to his bidding with only one goal in mind.
Revenge and kill the man who cause his beloved's death.
Toneri first before killing himself and be with Hinata again.
Toneri clumsily dodged every attack susanoo delivered at him he was still at shock at what just happened. He lived a lonely life waiting for the time his plan can come into fruition, waiting for the time he can meet his princess he will share eternity with in a new world he will create. Yet his well made plans backfired.
"Damn you Uchiha for stealing Hinata from me and making her give up her life for a worthless shinobi like you!" Toneri snarled angrily and transformed into his tenseigan chakra mode covering his whole body in pure blue chakra with truth seeking balls floating around him ready to be used at his disposal.
Sasuke wasn't amazed at all at the sudden increase in Toneri's power for his anger was too much to even care about anything.
"There they are!" Naruto immediately leaped towards the courtyard besides Sasuke followed by Shin.
"Sasuke." Shin called but Sasuke didn't even notice his teammates beside him.
"Sasuke-teme!" Naruto screamed making the last Uchiha look back at him with his dojutsu eyes full of pure hatred and blood mixed with tears staining his handsome cheeks.
Naruto took a step back seeing the anger and pain in his best friend's eyes, Hinata's death took the toll out of Sasuke that he isn't the same Sasuke he used to know before.
"He's not the same Sasuke anymore." Naruto said sadly while watching Sasuke's susanoo battling with Toneri.
Shin sighed harshly and decided to take matters in his hands he approached Sasuke despite the flames of amaterasu burning the sleeves of his jacket and skin.
"Shin wait, what are you doing?" Naruto asked worriedly.
"Snapping Sasuke out of his fucking trance!" Shin replied shouting and when he's finally an arm's length away from Sasuke he tried to reach his shoulder but Sasuke stood up his left hand already armed with a full charged chidori.
"I am Shin your teammate I just want to take Hinata from you so I can revive her." Shin said calmly despite the burning feeling in his skin and seeing Sasuke's killer intent.
The words 'revive' and 'Hinata' managed to reach Sasuke's ear and he eased off his chidori and amaterasu making Naruto sigh in relief and Shin breath heavily while his heart beats rapidly in chest for he narrowly escaped death from Sasuke.
Sasuke tenderly kisses Hinata's forehead and lips before gently giving her body to Shin, "Please return her to me."
"I will. I owe her." Shin said and carried Hinata's body at a good distance from Sasuke where he could use his outer path-samsara of heavenly life technique.
Toneri who busies himself in playing with Sasuke's susanoo saw the events that happened and can't help but chuckle. "Now that we have that problem out of the way how about you and I finally have our long overdue match Uchiha?" He mocked and used one of his truth seeking balls to hit susanoo so he could focus on fighting with Sasuke.
Sasuke growled in anger and was about to leap off the ground but Naruto beat him to it and fought with Toneri in a taijutsu battle.
"I almost forgot about you Uzumaki." Toneri said and delivered a strong punch to Naruto who tried to block it but despite being in his tailed beast chakra mode Toneri's power overwhelms him, pushing him back a hundred meters away.
As Toneri's feet landed on the ground and turned around Sasuke was already in front of him and delivered a swift kick to his side that he immediately blocked with his arm, the contact of Sasuke's leg with his arm was so strong the sound of their bones clashing can be heard.
"I'm your opponent you stupid bastard!" Sasuke growled and punched Toneri with his left arm with a full chidori that Toneri was able to avoid being hit directly by using one of his truth seeking balls manipulating it with quick movement forming a silver wheel acting as a shield that absorb the chidori making a big blast in between the two men.
Amidst the smoke the blast created Sasuke and Toneri are testing each other's strength and speed in a heated taijutsu battle, frustrating Sasuke to no end for neither of his attacks are coming in contact with his intended target for Toneri just blocks all of his attacks despite being master in such discipline.
Naruto who just recovered from being thrown away flew towards where Toneri and Sasuke are fighting to join Sasuke and double team with him against Toneri.
"Usuratonkachi." Sasuke growled, despite wanting to fight Toneri alone he knows that he will need Naruto's help to defeat his opponent.
"You're welcome teme." Naruto sarcastically said as they both hit Toneri with a strong punch at the same time.
Toneri smirked as he blocked both fists with his hands and pushed them with his strength focusing on the two opponents in front of him he didn't notice Sasuke's susanoo that is already behind him and attacked him with its katana forcing him to let go of his opponents and flew to dodge the attack.
As Toneri flew into the sky one of Naruto's clones he secretly hid behind susanoo's back is already waiting for the last living member of the Otsutsuki clan with a rasenggan in hand, just like what he did with Sasuke he blocked it using one of his truth seeking balls by manipulating it to form a silver wheel.
Blocking the rasengan from Naruto's clone, Toneri did not notice the real Naruto with a planetary rasenggan and Sasuke who have a full charged chidori wrapped in amaterasu's flames charging at him at his sides at lightning fast speed.
"This is enough." Toneri said grabbing Sasuke and Naruto's fist with (each) of his hand then throw them back (from where they came from), "I'm conceding defeat." He said (It's hard to admit that he's been defeated but if he continue on fighting his clan will only lose their leader and he will die if he continue being stubborn.)
But Sasuke and Naruto are not buying his sudden declaration of 'defeat', "Yeah? Why surrender now when you're not so eager to do that before." Sasuke said mockingly his eyes still seething in rage.
"Hinata-hime is…" Toneri started but he couldn't say the word 'dead', "It's all my fault…" he said looking away his eyes wavering his hand clenching into a fist.
Shin summons the king of hell to release Hinata's soul but…
"Sasuke stop let it go for now the most important is Hinata." Naruto said getting Sasuke to focus on Hinata than to Toneri who's already (obviously) not a threat anymore.
"Fine…" Sasuke begrudgingly do what Naruto told him to do and went towards to where Shin and Hinata, "What's happening…why she-…." He asked Shin just standing by Hinata's lifeless body.
"Shin what's happening why aren't you doing anything?" Naruto asked as he joined them.
Out of patience Sasuke grabbed Shin's collar upwards, "Oi do something! You said you're gonna revive Hinata then do your freaking job!"
"H-Hey Sasuke stop! Shin is doing his job right Shin?"
"She's dead…" Shin said lowly.
"Then revive her with the jutsu Nagato used to revive all the people he killed in the hidden leaf village."
"It's too late…"
"We don't need you…I'll do it…" Sasuke said readying his rinnesharingan once more to access the six paths jutsu.
"You can't do that either."
"The hell I can't!" Sasuke said his crimson red sharigan glaring at Shin.
"Her soul isn't here in this world anymore."
"What?! What the hell are you saying Shin!" Naruto asked shock by Shin's claim.
"Shin is right…" Toneri said joining them, "Her soul is not here…not in the king of hell's realm not in the supernatural realm. It's just….gone…" he continued looking down longingly to Hinata's body.
"How can that be?! That is not true!"
"That is the truth she's gone."
"It can't be…Hinata-chan…gone?" Naruto said slowly as the weight of the situation finally sinking in his mind.
Sasuke pouring his heart out clutches Hinata's hand to his. Holding Hinata's body to his chest as he sobbed for the first time in his life, "H-Hinata…Hinata…come back…" he shouted in agony then suddenly Hinata's body disappeared from his grasped and turned into silver ashes.
"Hinata…" Sasuke slowly stand up his mismatch eyes filled with sorrow there's nothing more inside his heart.
