As Minato drew in his last breath he couldn't help but think that everything he had done in his life up to that point had been worth it. Once the breath left him all he could think was 'Live my son, you will be the one to change this world.' Story is heavily Non-Canon, Itachi/Sasuke-Good Mikoto/Shisui-Alive Early chapters have several mistakes, but as you read it gets better.

27. Chapter 27

CHAPTER 27

AN: I know I have been gone a long time, and I hope all my readers can forgive me for that but hopefully it will not happen again. To get back in the writing game this chapter will be more of a clarification/filler chapter.

I went back and read the previous chapters and noticed several things wrong with them. I will not be changing anything since that alters the story, but I will be clarifying them here.

The assassination attempt early on which allowed Naruto to meet Kurama is a total disaster, as pointed out to me it is very true that high level Shinobi like Tsunade and Jiraiya would have some form of defense/detection, and any assassin worth his money would go for an instant kill.

The assassin from the previous note was not contracted or ordered to kill Naruto by Iwa. The assassin was completely independent, Onoki does actually like Naruto and everything he said in my earlier chapters is still true, he holds no ill will towards Minato, Naruto, or Konoha.

Kabuto being captured has a purpose and will be explained soon I promise, for now just bear with it a little longer.

Many people have asked me about the mysterious past I set up for Kurenai and many other things like was she raped or other horrible things like that. Much like Kabuto for now just bear with the mystery, but I can say that what happened mentally scarred Kurenai, but nothing happened to Kurenai; she is still a virgin.

Sometimes it gets hard to remember if I left Naruto's and Yugito's tails in or out, so from now on unless I specifically say otherwise assume their tails are out on display.

A lot of things that occur in my story are non-canon, I am one of those people that actually do love and respect the Naruto canon and know most of the details, so if something seems off like Kaito(Fourth Kazekage) sealing Shukaku into Gaara instead of Chiyo, just shoot me a quick PM about it. I do know that Chiyo was the one who put Shukaku into Gaara, but for my story Kaito did it.

Another highly asked Question was about Gaara's uncle Yashamaru since Gaara is still sane. In my story Naruto and his family got there before that happened, hence why Kaito is now actually a loving father, so yes Yashamaru is alive.

As for the pairings that will be occurring in this story, while I do like some surprise and suspense in my story sometimes, I will be putting a full list of all the pairs at the bottom; if I missed anyone or forgot someone please let me know.

For all those who leave Reviews good or bad I really appreciate all of them and try to personally answer each individual if they have a question.

Naruto having the three last names and the Namikaze estate and all that is getting very confusing for many, even me so I will be clearing that up in this chapter.

Also many people have noted that both Naruto and Sasuke's outfits and weapons keep changing I would like to apologize for that and say that until Shippuden it might still change a few times, but in Shippuden they will have only one outfit that will last till the end of the story.

Many people have also asked or mentioned about Sasuke and others being OP and for that I would like to say too bad, some people like Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, and a few others will be very strong compared to others, but that will just be how it works out.

Chapter start

All the people present turned to the Hokage now that the preliminary was over and waited for him to address them.

Hiruzen lightly coughed into his hand before beginning to talk. "As most of you already know there are pending treaties that we have with the three other major villages that we are not allies with, so in order to strengthen these possible treaties an extra two weeks were added to the normally four week break between the second and third exam.

"During these extra two weeks all the present teams and their Sensei's will be spending this time together. The time may be spent freely though, and you may do whatever you wish such as relaxing, training, or anything else as long as all the teams are together." Hiruzen said.

"With that you may all leave to get cleaned or do anything else you need to, but tomorrow all teams will meet at my office at eight in the morning for the one scheduled event you have." Hiruzen said.

Now that he was done addressing all those present, all the teams returned to their Sensei's waiting for orders. Naruto arrived at Kurenai with Sasuke and a better looking Hinata. "Until tomorrow when we have to meet the other teams you are all free to go." Kurenai said.

All three nodded before Sasuke left to go see his family while Naruto left with Hinata to take her home so he could finish healing her completely. After Naruto had arrived at the Hyuga mansion and greeted Hiashi while giving Neji a deadly glare Naruto set Hinata down in her bed and finished healing her all the way.

Once he was done Naruto told Hiashi that until Hinata had to meet the other teams in the Hokages office she should rest and by morning she would be completely recovered. Hiashi gave Naruto his thanks and then Naruto was on his way to the Hokages office.

Once he arrived there Naruto saw the sight he was expecting, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Hiruzen were all seated around the Hokages desk and waiting for him to arrive. Once he sat down Hiruzen pulled out the scroll and note that Naruto had sealed into his first exam paper.

"Alright Naruto you have peaked my interest and just like your note said I waited until the second exam was over now explain what is going on with this scroll." Hiruzen said. Naruto nodded before he sat forward and started to talk.

"Inside that scroll is a man that I captured by the name Kabuto he didn't give his last name, but let me explain what happened. When my team entered the exam waiting room we encountered the other teams that we are friends with and were having a conversation with them until Kabuto came over.

"He came over on the pretense that we were being too loud and might attract some unwanted attention, after that he continued talking to us about the exams until he pulled out a stack of cards he called his Nin-info cards. When I asked him what they were he said it was information he had collected on the exams and all those taking it, but when he used his chakra on the first one something felt off to me.

"His chakra was very dark and sinister, so I started paying more attention to him and that's when I noticed he smelled like snakes. Unlike Anko who smells like snakes because she is a snake summoner, this man smelled as if he was a snake. When he finished giving out information that he had been asked about I detained him so he could be questioned, but that is where the next part of my story comes into play." Naruto said taking a quick breath while the others leaned in now very much interested.

"When my team entered the forest early on I was using my chakra to search for unfamiliar chakra signatures that we could go after and that's when I felt a chakra so dark and sinister I knew it could only be one person Orochimaru." Naruto said. At that the three other people in the room quietly murmured and said a few things before having Naruto continue.

"This chakra made me think that Kabuto was a spy for Orochimaru, and this was confirmed when I also sensed something else at the same time. I sensed someone who had Uzumaki chakra; I created a shadow clone that Sasuke saw and had it go investigate the chakra. When I finally got the memories of my clone it was defiantly an interesting story.

"When I got there the girl was being attacked by a bear, and her teammates where nowhere to be seen. After I saved her I learned that her name was Karin Uzumaki and she then told me all about her working with Orochimaru. When she was younger, her and her sister Tayuya lived in the small village of Kusagakure and one day Orochimaru found the two and took them in.

"Both quickly regretted their decision though and wanted to leave along with one of their friends called Kin, but they couldn't escape without fear of being killed or used for an experiment by Orochimaru. After hearing her story and seeing no lies I decided to help her by faking her death and making it seem like she died. I also then went and helped her friend Kin who was also taking the exams fake her death and have been keeping the two in a secret place that is safe for them." Naruto said.

Here Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Hiruzen mumbled some more about confirming Orochimaru's presence before Hiruzen turned to Naruto. "There is more to your story Naruto, but first what did this girl, Karin, say about her job for Orochimaru?" Hiruzen asked.

Naruto nodded to his question before answering. "When I asked both her and Kin neither knew much, they were both just pawns to get information like forces and positions, but Karin did say that Tayuya is one of Orochimaru's close bodyguards, so if we can get in contact and rescue her we may have a clue about what Orochimaru has planned.

"For now though there are some other things I wished to talk about with all of you. First, which kind of relates to the previous topic is my clan estates and names. I wish to combine all three of my Clans into just one, Senju. Since the Uzumaki are nearly extinct and their home was Uzushiogakure, and since Namikaze was a name my dad got from the orphanage I want to combine the three clans into just Senju since Konoha has always been home for the Senju." Naruto said.

Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Hiruzen talked quietly for a bit before all three nodded and turned back to Naruto. "That can be arranged Naruto, by the end of the week I will have had a few teams move and combine the two estates into one and from now on the Senju clan will be a joined clan of Uzumaki, Senju, and Namikaze." Hiruzen said.

Naruto nodded his head in thanks before continuing where he left off. "The last three days before the third exam begins I'm going to need to borrow Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, and Kakashi for some details regarding their sharingan." Naruto said.

Hiruzen looked skeptical for a moment before nodding. "Very well I won't ask what you need them for but I do expect to know what happened when you're done doing whatever it is you need them for, now since it appears you didn't have anything else to say and I have paperwork to do I will see you tomorrow along with everyone else." Hiruzen said.

Naruto nodded and left to setup the surprise he had for Yugito. Once he arrived at his home which would soon become much bigger once it was added to the Senju estate Naruto set out to finish what he had been preparing.

Once Naruto was almost done he sent out a clone to get Yugito while he finished the last few things and then went outside to wait for her. Once she arrived Naruto took her hand and lead her into the house and to a door. Naruto had her open the door and watched with joy as her face lit up.

"What is this all about?" Yugito asked. Naruto smiled at her before he answered.

"I have been secretly have meetings between Ay and Jiji and they both agreed to allow you and your team to stay here in Konoha after the chunin exams." Naruto said.

Yugito jumped in joy before tackling Naruto to the ground and giving him a deep kiss.
