CHAPTER 29

After Naruto and Kurenai had finished their breakfast in silence, they quickly arrived at their teams waiting spot and Sasuke was already there waiting for them. Only a few minutes later and Hinata was there so the now full team made their way to the Hokage's office.
When they arrived they were glad to see they were not the last ones there as only a few of the other teams were there. Once the clock finally clicked its way to eight o clock all the teams had gathered and waited for the Hokage to speak.
Hiruzen took one last puff from his pipe while looking out at the village before turning around in his chair and addressing the teams. Before he spoke though he made sure to take in each and every team there. He had been very specific when he stated that he wanted all members present even the ones who didn't pass.
The whole purpose of these extra two weeks before the month wait for the exam was for the teams present to get along so that relations between the other nations would be easier. Hiruzen quickly went over all the teams present in his mind.
There was one team from Iwa which consisted of Kurotsuchi, Akatsuchi, and Gamaku lead by their Jonin sensei who happened to be Han the five tails Jinchuriki. Next was the team from Kiri comprised of Haku Yuki-Momochi, Chojuro, and Dorusame lead by Jonin Zabuza Momochi. The only four man team present from Kumo, members are Yugito Nii two tails Jinchuriki, Omoi, Karui, and Samui all lead by the Raikage's brother and eight tails Jinchuriki Killer Bee.
The sand team which were all the Kazekage's children Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro lead by Jonin Baki. His gaze slightly saddened as he took in the lone previous Taki now Konoha ninja Fu, after seeing the prelims for the exam and the way her team acted around her Hiruzen had immediately signed the scroll Naruto gave him from Taki after their meeting about Orochimaru.
After he had sent the letter out and then gotten a reply back a few hours later he called in the Taki team and sent all of them home since they had failed anyway, but then gave Fu her new Konoha headband after telling her that she had been made a ninja of Konoha. The smile that she had given him gave Hiruzen a joy that he had long ago forgotten about that came from being a Kage.
Ending his reminiscing Hiruzen refocused on the remaining teams, which just so happened to be four teams from Konoha; the current teams seven, eight, nine, and ten. Team seven lead by Kakashi Hatake was Sakura Haruno, Shino Aburame, and Kiba Inuzuka. Team eight lead by Kurenai Yuhi had Genin Naruto Senju, Sasuke Uchiha, and Hinata Hyuga.
Team nine that had graduated a year prior had Genin Neji Hyuga, Rock Lee, and Tenten lead by Might Guy. The finally team, team ten was led by his own son Asuma Sarutobi with Genin Ino Yamanaka, Choji Akimichi, and Shikamaru Nara.
Leaving his thoughts Hiruzen coughed to get everyone present to focus their attention on him. Once all teams were looking at him Hiruzen lightly coughed again and spoke to all those present.
"As you all have been informed an extra two weeks were added to the normal wait for the Chunin exams. This has been allowed so that the teams present here which represent at least one of each of the five great nations may gain friendship and comradery. Whether you knew or not, the five great nations all have pending treaties with one another that all revolve around this Chunin exam and the teams present.
"I also stated previously that these two weeks must have the current teams together, I also said the first day, today, would be preplanned. I have planned this day out for the current teams, but before we get to that I would like to address a few other matters." Hiruzen said before taking another puff from his pipe.
"Some of you may or may not have noticed, but Young miss Fu here now has a Konoha headband, as of yesterday due to a prior engagement Fu is now a Konoha shinobi so I wish for all of you to be kind and welcome her with open arms.
"Also related to Fu though is the next topic I would like to bring to light, Jinchuriki. Some of you already know what this means, others have made guesses, and some have no clue, but that is why I will be discussing it now. The Jinchuriki, which means individuals who host a tailed beast, are the main reason for the pending treaties we have.
"Standing in this very room we have Gaara the Jinchuriki of Shukaku the one tailed tanuki, Yugito Nii the Jinchuriki of Matatabi the two tailed hellcat, Yagura the fourth Mizukage that all of you will see at the exams is the Jinchuriki of Isobu the three tailed turtle.
"Roshi one of Onoki the current Tsuchikage's body guards is the Jinchuriki of Son Goku the four tailed monkey, Han the Jonin sensei of the Iwa team here is the Jinchuriki of Kokuo the five tailed dolphin horse, Utakata one of Mei Terumi the current Mizukage's body guards is the Jinchuriki of Saiken the six tailed slug.
"Fu here our newest shinobi is the Jinchuriki of Chomei the seven tailed rhinoceros beetle, Killer Bee the Jonin of the Kumo team is the Jinchuriki of Gyuki the eight tailed octopus bull, and finally Naruto Senju is the Jinchuriki of Kurama the nine tailed fox. " Hiruzen took a minute to let everyone gather their thoughts as he took another puff from his pipe.
"Each Jinchuriki have close relations with one another, so they are the reason for our treaties, but that also brings me to my final point I wanted to discuss before you set out for today's schedule. There are teams here where none of the members passed, the reason they are also here is because each has at least one or more members of a prominent clan and it is important they partake in these events as they could very well change the ninja world as we currently know it." Hiruzen said.
Mumblings began as people began to talk about all they heard while Hiruzen took another slow puff from his pipe. Once he was sure they had quieted a great deal Hiruzen spoke up again.
"Now as I said only this first day is strict and all the others may be spent in anyway as long as all the teams are together. I will now present to all of you the list of activities for today that all of you will participate in." Hiruzen said pulling out a scroll.
Hiruzen laid the scroll down on his desk and opened it for all to see. It said:
-Sports contest
-Swimming pool
-Lunch
-Movie
-Spar/Training
-Dinner
Naruto finished looking at the scroll and turned to Hiruzen. "Why do I get the feeling there is more to this then you are telling us Jiji?" He questioned. Hiruzen only let out a chuckle as a wicked grin made its way onto his face.
Hiruzen then made a motion with his hand and an Anbu member appeared, Naruto realized that he didn't recognize this one. "Tora here will escort you to the location of all your events that will be taking place, if you have any questions you can also address them with him." He said still grinning mad.
Naruto let out a sigh before he turned to the Anbu. "Lead the way please." He said, the Anbu only nodded before standing up from his kneeling position and leading the large group to a distant training field that was wide open and had various pieces of equipment laying around for sports games.
When Naruto turned his attention from the equipment though a large sigh left his mouth while a smile also found its way to his face. 'So this is what that old bastard meant, sneaky old man.' Naruto thought while looking in front of him while everyone else was just as amazed and shocked as him.
Standing in front of the large group was an equally large group which consisted of all the Kage, including Hiruzen himself, there bodyguards and all other people of relevance to their village. From Iwa there was Roshi, Onoki, and Kitsuchi; From Kumo there was Ay, Darui, Cee, Dodai, and Atsui; From Kiri there was Mei, Yagura, Utakata, and a girl Naruto had never seen.
From Suna was Kaito, Yashamaru, and Chiyo who Naruto was surprised to see; and from Konoha was Hiruzen, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Itachi, Shisui, Anko, Yugao, Mikoto, Tenzo or Yamato as he went by when not on duty, Genma, Hayate, and all the current clan Heads with their spouses and children.
Naruto couldn't be sure, but he was almost positive that his face had an absolutely funny look on it. Hiruzen seeing the look only let a smile onto his face as he now laughed loudly drawing the attention to him and easing the tension that seemed to be growing.
"Seems even this old man still has some tricks up his sleeve." Hiruzen said as he continued to laugh while several others chuckled with him. As all the laughter started to die out Hiruzen walked over to Naruto and placed a hand upon his shoulder.
"Naruto my boy why don't you and Yamato here make some stands and a sports field, I do believe a sports contest was the first item on the list for today was it not." Hiruzen said. Naruto only nodded dumbly before be made his way over to Yamato.
Once the two were standing next to one another they both went through different hand signs. With a quick shout of Mokuton: Stands and Mokuton: Field a pair of wooden stands sprouted out of the ground on either side of the now flat wood ground that would act as a playing field for all the sports to come.
Hiruzen smiled in satisfaction and slight nostalgia when he thought of his sensei Hashirama. Seeing that everything was ready though Hiruzen walked over to Naruto and told him the first sport they would play would be Baseball so that he could set the field appropriately.
After he told Naruto that some bases, bats, mites, and balls were made and ready for use. Hiruzen then pulled a box and two metal balls out, he quickly explained that the balls would be thrown around in the box then each person would grab one of the balls.
Seeing as how the balls were labeled one and two, they would determine what team you would be placed on for the game. Once everyone was assembled into teams the games began.
Several hours later once it was almost noon the games ended and Hiruzen announced to everyone that they would now enjoy a relaxing time in a pool and hot tub, so he informed everyone to be back within the hour with swim wear. As everyone started to take off Hiruzen stopped Naruto.
Once more the old man told Naruto what the pool and hot tub area should look like and had him make it out of wood. When the areas were made Hiruzen then had him fill both with water and heat them to the right temperatures, once he was done he went on his way home to grab his swim trunks.
When he arrived home and was about to change the truth of what was about to happen hit Naruto. Even if he wasn't a pervert like the old man or other men, even he understood that very soon his eyes would be gazing upon the beauty of multiple women in bathing suits. With that thought in mind and as a small drip of blood escaped his nose, Naruto made his way back to the training field in his swim trunks.
