Bridget was on her bed with Hermione, both girls reading silently when there was a knock on the door. She called for the person to come in. Remus smiled at her, she was back in good health, the scars she had left barely visible anymore, "There's someone here to see you."

"Who?" She closed her book and looked to Hermione.

"Come down stairs." He opened the door more.

She motioned to Hermione to stay where she was since she knew her friend was engrossed in her book and followed Remus. Waiting at the door was Council Woman MacRose, "Council Woman, is everything alright?"

"Yes child everything is fine." The woman smiled warmly at her, her bloodlines animal was an elephant and she was very sweet and gentle like the animal but loomed over Bridget making her nervous, "I came here to offer you help."

"Help?"

"Yes, typically a mother or father will teach their children their primal abilities but you have neither and I know that Tevos will continue to treat you harshly so I wish to help you learn everything you can about what you can do and how to do it without hurting yourself, so that you may be prepared if you ever need to use it. You-Know-Who may find you one day and we must make sure you are prepared for that day."

"Thank you Council Woman MacRose, that really means a lot to me." Bridget smiled at her.

"Call me Siobhan, child." The woman wrapped an arm around her and began walking her to the door. "We shall meet twice a week when you are off from school so that we can master all three of the animal spirits within you. We start today."

"Does George need to come?" Bridget looked over her shoulder back to where Remus was standing.

"No dear he is not necessary for your power, just for your energy." MacRose took the door handle, "We will not go far from him though in case anything happens."

"Alright." She looked up at the woman.

Remus watched with a smile on his face as he knew this was going to help his girl be able to feel more comfortable in her own skin.

Fred and George had just apparated in to where Harry was and that was when Harry realized something, someone was missing, "Where is Bridget? Is she alright?"

"She's fine." Hermione reassured him, "She's out with one of the other Primals right now practicing."

"So she found another bondmate?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, me." George smiled at him and Harry was relieved that she was going to be alright, George protected her like she was his own family and Harry knew nothing would ever happen to her with him looking out for her.

After that they went out to try to listen in on the meeting and after the extendable ear had been eaten they were all called down for dinner which Bridget arrived just in time for. Harry smiled when he saw her and he wrapped his arms around her, "I thought-"

"I'm okay now, the others…they didn't let me give up." She spoke in his ear holding him tightly, "I heard what happened, I'm glad you're alright too."

"Thanks." He pulled back then saw the scars on her neck and the part of her shoulders that were exposed.

She gave him a small smile, "Side effects of not having a bondmate."

He nodded then they went to sit down at the table. She sat in between Remus and George while Harry sat catty corner her. When Moody brought up the newspaper articles and Minister Fudge she grew uneasy, she had seen the headlines, she had spoken to MacRose about them but despite them she and the most of the other Council Woman believed her but it was causing a bit of trouble in the Primal community.

She listened as Harry had the same arguments about the articles and Fudge that she had. When Sirius began talking she grew nervous about Voldemort building an army and trying to find something he didn't have before. Bridget didn't want a war, she didn't want to have to fight. She did want the people she cared about to be okay and she knew that she couldn't have that if she didn't fight. She heard Sirius, "We believe Voldemort may be after something, something he didn't have last time."

"You mean like a weapon?" Harry asked and her chest tightened. The tightness released when Molly stopped the conversation from going any further. She said that if they said much more that they might as well induct him into the Order. Harry quickly spoke up, "Good I want to join. If Voldemorts building an army I want to fight. Right Bridget?"

She looked up at him and everyone at the table including Molly looked at her. She looked around at all of them and swallowed deeply, "If we have to."

Harry looked at her slightly confused and let down, her answer had stopped the conversation from going any further.

Once dinner was over Harry followed her up to her room, "Bridget, what was that?"

"What was what?" She asked standing in front of her door.

"If we have to?" He looked at her.

"I don't want to have to fight Harry. Are you that eager to go rushing into battle?" She asked perplexed.

He grew irritated, "If it's with Voldemort then yes! He killed my parents, your parents, Cedric!"

"You think I don't know that?" Her voice grew defensive, "You think I'm unaware how directly involved in this we already are? You knew Cedric, I understand that but you didn't know Cedric. I did, I shared half of everything that I am with him. I felt him die Harry. I don't want that for our friends. I don't want to be left behind by anyone. And furthermore I don't want to be the one dying. I was a week away from death less than a month ago. It was…" Her voice shook, "It was the worst thing I have ever been through, it was something I could do nothing about. I get that we have no choice but to be involved but why go rushing into it when we aren't ready. We don't even know the whole situation. Why put ourselves and the people we love on the line right now when we have no chance at winning? You've seen it, most people don't even believe us Harry."

"You're scared." He realized.

"You're damn straight I'm scared. I'm scared of becoming our parents and I'm scared of becoming us all over again." Her shoulders deflated, "I remember my mom having nightmares when I was growing up, I remember hearing her wake up crying in the middle of the night. When it's time to stand up and fight I will, but I won't rush into that because I've seen what a war like that will do to people."

He stayed silent, feeling bad for having gotten mad at her when her feelings were very valid for what she had been through. He felt her hand on his shoulder, "I told you Harry, I'll always be right next to you and when it's time I'll fight by your side to help end Voldemort, but until then, lets…lets just hope it doesn't come to that."

"But be prepared if it does?" He looked up at her.

She smiled, "Yeah, we will."

Harry wrapped his arms around her, "I'm really glad you're okay."

"Thanks. I bet Voldemort is glad I didn't die too." She let out a laugh and he did too.

She was out with MacRose for the last time before term started. The woman passed her a grape to eat, "Your bondmate, Mr. Weasley, he will be done with schooling after this year?"

"Yes, he's already legally allowed to do magic." Bridget answered.

"Then I must show you something for you to practice over the coming year." The portly woman stood from where they were sitting in the garden, "Come child."

Bridget got up and followed her over to a marigold bush. MacRose took Bridgets hand placed her fingers to the leaves, "This is how you absorb energy from nature. Only use it when you are desperate and Mr. Weasley is not around to give you any. When you are just practicing be sure to give the energy back to the plant so that it may live." Bridget nodded at the woman, "Good now close your eyes and focus on the plant, how it feels in your hands, how you and it share the same energy. Picture that energy going into you, filling you up, keeping you alive."

Bridget did as she was instructed and once she had done it she opened her eyes to see the leaves on the bush as well as some of the flowers had died. She quickly moved her hand away from the leaves, "Why did that happen? Did I do it wrong?"

"No, they gave you their energy." MacRose smiled at her. "The energy that you absorbed from it was it's life, which is why you must only use it once desperate as this bush would never grow again if you do not return the energy. As we are all living beings we share a universal energy that Primals have learned to tap into since we already share energies with specific creatures. Energy is unlimited but must be made, which is why you must give this plant back that which it gave you so that it made make more flowers to create more energy. So focus like you did before, just instead the energy going back into the plant, filling it up, keeping it alive."

"Alright." She placed her hand back to the leaves and focused on giving them her energy, the energy she had taken from them. Soon the leaves began growing and turning green once again. She laughed with a smile, "That's incredible. I had known it was possible but to learn how to do it…"

"There are still many things for you to learn," The older woman pulled a book with notes sticking out of the pages as well as loose sheets and handed it to her, "I made this for you for while you're away so that you can continue to practice. When I am not there Mr. Weasley can help you as there are things for both of you in there."

She took the book from her teacher and tucked it under her arm, "Thank you Council Woman, I really do appreciate everything you've been doing for me."

"It's not a problem my dear, I never had a daughter of my own and it is nice to know what it may have been like." She smiled, "And it is not your fault this happened to you so soon or that You-Know-Who is after you and for the sake of all Primals out there you are what could finally get us the equal treatment we deserve. Not that I am forcing that on you of course, just that you have a great amount of potential since you Primed so young and so few know who you are since you don't have to register for a few more years."

"I understand, I'll continue trying to be a good representation of our people." Bridget gave her a small smile trying not to look nervous, the Minster of Magic already knew that she was a Primal and therefore would be counting the days until she was of age to register her, but she was a part of the new generation, and she went to Hogwarts where no one other than her close friends knew what she was. She had a chance to show the new generation of politicians, law makers, and enforcers that Primals were just like any other witch or wizard. Knowing her well before knowing she's a Primal may help their outlook on them.

"I know you will child. Just be sure to have fun and enjoy yourself too." MacRose took her arm, "Now time for me to get you back."

George laid with his arm wrapped around her in her bed. They were leaving for school tomorrow and he wasn't sure when he was going to be able to do this again. Running his thumb over the back of her hand he whispered, "I guess I'm going to have to find a way into your dormitory."

"Why's that?" She laughed.

"Because I've gotten used to your hair in my face as I fall asleep." He nuzzled closer to the back of her neck.

"And here I was thinking about cutting it." Bridget sighed.

"Really? How short?" He sat up on his elbow looking down at her shocked. She had always had long hair and never talked about cutting it.

"About to here?" She moved her hand to be around her ear.

He thought about it for a moment before putting his hand on her head, "I guess I could still be able to run my fingers through it at that length, still be enough to tickle my nose as I fell asleep."

"Well then maybe I should get it cut shorter." She let out another laugh.

"Are you messing with me?" He smirked.

"I would never." She tried to act offended.

"I don't believe you for one second." He bent down his nose brushing up against hers.

"Should I go get the scissors?" She lifted her hand to his neck a playful smile growing on her lips.

"Only if you really want to."

"Okay." She called his bluff and went to move but he quickly placed his lips against hers, effectively stopping her from going anywhere. George drew the kisses out as she wrapped an arm around his neck and another around his waist. After a moment he pulled away, they had gotten very good at knowing how to control themselves so that they could control themselves from going too far.

He brushed his nose up against hers, "Bridg, do you really want to cut your hair?"

"No, just seeing what you would do." She smiled, "With a reaction like that I might threaten to cut it off more often."

"You don't need to threaten that for me to kiss you." He moved back to being behind her so that they were back to how they first started, "But I will always try to convince you to keep your beautiful and sweet smelling hair."

She laughed as he took in a deep breath through his nose smelling her hair before she rolled over in his arms, tucking her head in the cook of his neck, "I'm going to miss this too. If you do figure out how to sneak in, be sure not to wake Hermione up. She'll lecture us."

He laughed, "That's the last thing I would want before bed. I guess I can survive without you until the holiday break. That is as long as nothing happens to you of course."

"What would happen to me?" She snuggled closer.

"Oh I don't know, last year you'd rode a dragon, swam in the black lake, and other things." He said, not wanting to mention the task where Cedric had died.

"Well as long as there's no tournament for some looney Death Eater to enter me into and the fact that I'm a Primal stays pretty well under wraps I should be good."

"No one will find out you're a Primal on my watch and if they do I'll make sure they stay in line." He held her tight, "I won't let anything happen to you."

She smiled at his protectiveness, "I know George, I won't let anything happen to you either."

"Now get some sleep." He ran his hand over the back of her head.

"I was trying to before you started talking." She squeezed his side and he flinched away with a laugh.

Bridget could see the Thestrals as well and she couldn't help but smile at the creature happy for finally being able to see it and give it the attention it deserved. She had of course heard of them through her study of magical and non-magical creatures and had always wondered what they looked like. Yet she was sad because it took someone to see death in order for them to have to be seen and she couldn't imagine having an existence like that. Once back at Hogwarts she and Harry could feel the stares and hear the whispers. She was glad when Dumbledore had started giving his usual speech because then people would be looking somewhere other than where she and Harry were sitting.

When the new professor for Defense Against the Dark Arts, Dolores Umbridge, came up to speak the words that she said and the fact that Harry had seen her at his trial made her stomach churn. Someone from the Ministry being there wasn't good for her. When she was done Harry asked, "What's it mean?"

"It means the ministry is interfering at Hogwarts." Hermione answered.

"Well I'll be lucky to last the year then." Bridget sighed picking at her food.

"What do you mean by that?" Ron asked and Ginny and the twins listened in.

"They see me as a half-breed, despite not really being one. Someone like her…won't be fond of me learning here. Most Primal kids learn at a smaller institution for just Primals." She explained, "Like how there aren't many half-giants or half-gobins here and house elves are only here to work, we have our own places to go, places where we're accepted."

"Then why did you choose to come to Hogwarts?" Ginny asked.

"I didn't know what I was. Plus your parents supported me in coming here despite your mum knowing." Bridget answered, "Either way, if she knows what I am, which if she was sent here by Fudge she more than likely does, it'll probably make things…interesting for me this year."

George couldn't help but be mad at the woman already for making Bridget fear being in a place that she loved and felt safe in just because she was from a specific bloodline. Harry put his hand over hers, showing they were in this together and she gave him a smile of thanks.

When they were in the common room and Seamus began saying that Harry and Bridget were the reason that he almost wasn't allowed to come back to Hogwarts Harry moved to stand somewhat in front of her, trying to take the brunt of the harsh words for her, hoping to help protect his friend. Harry insulted Seamus' mother, angered at his insulations that they were both liars and she placed a hand on his arm trying to calm him down. He retorted back at Seamus, "I'll have a go at anyone that calls either of us a liar."

Ron came in quickly and stood up for the both of them saying that he believed them that Voldemort had come back. Harry turned to leave and his arm left her grasp and she watched as both Harry and Ron headed up the stairs. She turned and looked at him then looked back to the rest of the people in the common room, her voice low and sad, "None of you have any idea what we saw that night. But we can't make you believe."

She headed up the stairs as well, exhausted from being the center of attention.
