Here's chapter twelve, coming at you! As you saw in the last of chapters, Freddy attacked Rachel Berry, Mercedes Jones and Jesse St. James, managing to off the latter despite the two girls living through their encounter with him, largely due to waking up when they did. That was his trip to the Glee universe. Now Freddy's taking a trip into the Balto universe and is specifically going to enter the dreams of Aleu and Dusty, who are both asleep at this time. How is he going to attack these two beautiful canine femme fatales, and can they possibly survive their encounter with him when he does so, the way that Mercedes, Rachel and Jesse knew about him and the girls barely made it out of the nightmare alive, while Jesse got murdered? Find out all the answers by the reading of this chapter!

THINGS TO NOTE:

This takes place three weeks after the events of Balto 3: Wings Of Change

I own none of the characters. They all belong to their respective franchises.

Freddy Krueger's Otherworldly Trips

Chapter 12-A Doggone Nightmare

Quite a bit had gone on in Nome as of late. First of all, there was the way that Aleu had, due to homesickness and being separated from her pack with no hope of ever finding them and vice versa, decided to return to her previous home and family. She had done so, but also taken Niju with her, due to the fact that at the time she was separated from her pack thanks to one hell of an awful blizzard of a snowstorm, Niju had righted all of his past wrongs through a series of events, happenstances and deeds(too many to list here)after seeing the wrong in what he'd done previously and wanting to atone for it all.

He had subsequently met up with Aleu at the time she realized that her best bet, and what she wanted, was to return to her family and initial home. After they told their tales to each other and had a long talk and discussion about what was going to happen, Aleu offered Niju a place in Nome, which Niju promptly accepted. Both made their way to Nome, specifically where Balto, Jenna and Aleu's siblings lived along with their owners, and after Aleu greeted her family with joy and vice versa, she explained everything to them and Niju was accepted as part of the dogs who lived here in Nome.

And of course Aleu was welcomed back. She and Niju were filled in on all that had gone on since either of them last saw any of the ones they were living with, and the two even found an item in each other, growing romantic feelings for one another. That all happened before the night we are presently focused on. On that night, Aleu was in the same barn as Dusty was in, with the two deciding to have a girls night out kind of sleepover and playdate with each other. And it was great fun for them, with them talking and laughing and playing around and all sorts of stuff, but now they were both getting to sleep.

Little did either one know, however, that what they expected to be a sleeping sequence like any other would turn out to be far from that, and quite imperiling to both of them. Because after falling asleep in the barn, they saw that they were in a cabin of sorts. Aleu said: "Dusty, are we in a cabin? How did we get here?" "Your guess is as good as mine, Aleu." Dusty responded. "I mean, we fell asleep in the barn, and we suddenly end up in a cabin? How do we know this is even the cabin that…HUH?!" She saw words on one of the cabin walls which spelled out: "One, Two, Freddy's Coming For You!"

"Freddy's coming for me?" asked Dusty. "What's that supposed to mean? Who's Freddy, and why is he coming for you or me or anyone?" asked Aleu. "Again, your guess is as good as mine." Dusty replied, but Aleu then saw on another wall the words: "Three, Four, Better Lock Your Door!" "Better lock my door?" Aleu went. "Okay, this is getting weird, and that's if it was not already weird!" Dusty then noticed on a third wall the words: "Five, Six, Grab A Crucifix!" Dusty said: "Grab a crucifix? Why? What's that got to do with anything?" Aleu then saw on the fourth of walls: "Seven, Eight, Gonna Stay Up Late!"

Aleu said: "Dusty, this is getting stranger and stranger! How are we gonna stay up late if we already have? We just fell asleep!" Dusty nodded and said: "None of this makes any sense at all, Aleu!" Just then, she looked up to the ceiling to see on it the words: "Nine, Ten, Never Sleep Again!" "Okay, now I'm more confused than ever." Dusty told Aleu. "Ditto." Aleu replied, but a second after she said that, Freddy entered through the door of the cabin wearing a thick, heavy coat and a pair of tall, black boots, saying: "This ought to clear up your confusion here, bitches!" "Who are you?!" exclaimed Aleu and Dusty in unison.

"Why, I'm the Freddy you read about!" Freddy replied. "Freddy Krueger, to be exact. It was me who made this cabin and world you're in. It was me who entered your dreams to do so, and it will be me who's going to kill you both!" "Oh, no! We're in danger!" cried out Dusty. A second later, Aleu said: "He's here to kill us, but we must make sure he doesn't and let the others know about him after we wake up!" "Oh, but you aren't going to wake up, Aleu!" Freddy told to the wolf-dog. "And neither is Dusty!" "He knows our names!" gasped Dusty. "It's clearer than it was before…this guy is a danger to us!"

"So we've got to do everything possible to take him down, and make sure he doesn't go unheard of!" Aleu told Dusty. "Right! Let's get him!" Dusty said, and the two ran at Freddy. A second later, Freddy said: "OOOOOH, two big, beautiful she-canines coming at me at once!" It was followed by Aleu and Dusty pouncing on him, then clawing, biting and beating(with snouts and open paws alike, just to clarify)away at him with all their might. Freddy said as this went on: "I'm scared…NOT!" He swung his blade containing glove and the swipe nailed both Aleu and Dusty, tearing Aleu's belly open and doing the same to Dusty's side.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" they both screamed in unison. While neither was mortally wounded, both were out of action, and Freddy stood up before saying: "A valiant effort, indeed, fleabags, but in the end, your attempts to kill me just didn't cut it! Unlike my glove! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Aleu and Dusty struggled to get back up to no avail, and Freddy then said: "And I know just the way to make it so life's too short for the two of you! First, there's the way that you, Dusty, are a second away from being left in the dust! It's a cruel gag that I'm playing on you."

He made an enormous cloud of dust form around Dusty, and Dusty, due to breathing hard thanks to her side wounds, took it in and started coughing, gagging and choking. And then, when he turned to Aleu, Freddy told her: "And as for you, Aleu, you were quite obviously named after the Aleutian mountains, so I think I will start MOUNTAIN you and put you in one hell of a tight spot in the process!" He teleported her into a giant mountain in the distance, and Aleu ended up in the center of it, trapped and unable to move or breathe. It seemed as if Aleu and Dusty were as good as dead, the way neither had access to oxygen anymore.

"Guess you could say your ability to live has gone to the dogs, huh, bitches?" Freddy let out maliciously. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" But Aleu and Dusty both lucked out big time. Because just at the moment before they would've undoubtedly died, they woke up, and both could breathe again. It took them a bit to realize they were back in the barn they'd gone into prior to falling asleep, but as soon as they realized it, the two of them could tell they were both alive and had survived.

"Oh, dear…thank God that's over…whatever it was…" Dusty said. "Yeah, we had the worst possible nightmare, and…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Aleu let out, the last part of what she said coming from how she saw that her belly wounds were still right there, and then Dusty saw that her side wounds were still present. "Oh, my God! Those are the cuts I got from Krueger when he slashed me across the side!" Dusty cried out. And Aleu added: "And my belly wounds that I got from him are still here, too! This was more than a nightmare, Dusty!" "Damn right it was, Aleu!" Dusty concurred.

Just then, they saw Balto, Jenna, Niju, Kodi, Kirby, Ralph, Boris, Stella, Muk and Luk all coming into the barn, Balto saying: "Aleu? Dusty? What's going on here? We heard the two of you both screaming very loudly!" "It woke us up and brought us over here to see what was the matter!" Jenna added in. "The reason we were screaming was because there was this hideous…I can't quite describe him, but some kind of monster…in our dream! He tried to kill us!" Aleu said to them, and Kodi said: "But it was all just a dream, and you're awake now, so you don't have to be afraid any longer!"

"Oh, yes we do, Kodi!" Dusty told him. "This wasn't just a nightmare! This man, who said his name was Freddy Krueger, attacked me and Aleu and cut us badly, not to mention how he nearly killed us via a different form of asphyxiation each!" "That's how much the dream has to have scared you talking. Calm down, girls." Ralph said, but Aleu told him: "It's not our fear talking! Want proof?" She and Dusty showed their injuries to the others, and Boris exclaimed: "Good heavens! It has to have been more than a dream if they still have the wounds they got in it when awake!" Kirby then said: "I think we have a bigger problem than we thought here."

"I'd say we do, indeed!" Balto exclaimed. "First of all, we need to get those wounds fully treated." "Then you need to tell us exactly what happened from the time you fell asleep to when you woke up." Jenna added in. Aleu and Dusty both nodded, and Muk said: "Luk, I suddenly get a feeling we're not safe anymore." Luk nodded and the two hugged each other while shaking in fear, and Niju said: "You know, bears, getting scared shitless over this isn't going to make it any better, and is a potential way to make it worse. So don't be so spineless at a time like this!" Then Stella said: "Niju, they're just afraid and jarred by this. You don't have to be so harsh."

Meanwhile, as he reentered his own universe's dreamland and walked into his throne room of a boiler room, Freddy let loose: "FUCK THIS SHIT! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I WAS UNABLE TO MOTHERFUCKING MURDER THOSE BARKING BEAST BITCHES! And when I had them nailed but good, too! They just HAD to wake the fuck up when they did and luck out as much as they did! I hate it when I fucking fail! It's bad enough this would happen with the Elm Street teens, but for it to happen as often as it has with my new targets, even as I've also made some kills with them that felt good as much as they were successful, as well!"

He sat down into his throne and said: "UUUUUUUUGGGGHHHCCCKKKKKKKK! But I'm far from done with my trips into other universes, so what comes next might very well be the cure to the goddamn disease that is failure if I should succeed in that universe's dreamland as I failed in this one's. Time to pick up the orb again, I guess." He walked over and picked up the orb, then he said to it: "Orb, make it known to me who I'm next going after and what universe it will require me to go to in order to do so, and I mean pronto!" The orb did all that was required of it, and Freddy was able to see where his next of stops was.

Freddy leered: "It seems to me like I'm now going to be going into the DC Universe yet again, this time going into the dream of the Kyle Rayner Green Lantern! Nice to know that some kind of revisiting would be my smartest of moves this time, and it'll help make it clear to all of my victims, whether I've entered their universes before or will soon enter their universes, that it can never be predicted where or when I'll strike or strike next, giving the advantage to me even when my prey tries to prepare for me! Anyway, time to get going into the dream realm of the ring slinger!"

He walked through the passageway of a portal that the orb had made for him, and he'd go into the dream of Kyle Rayner, who was currently asleep. Would there be one less Green Lantern in the DC Universe after Freddy was done, or would the other Green Lanterns end up being good and proud of Rayner for surviving an encounter with a monster of a nightmare like Freddy? Well now, you'll only know the answer if you read the chapter that follows this one!

END OF CHAPTER 12

Was this an enjoyable read for you? I wasn't going to kill Aleu or Dusty, since both are very beautiful, popular and wonderful characters, but I sure made it so Freddy did a nasty number on them. Yeah, it's survivable, and they'll live through it, but they won't be forgetting it anytime soon, that's for sure. One would wonder how things will go down when Kyle Rayner's Green Lantern comes face to face with Freddy. Can his power ring, the most powerful weapon in the universe, prove enough to overpower even Freddy, or will Freddy make that ring look like a toy out of a Cracker Jack box by making the Green Lantern corps short one member? Find out in the next of chapters, which will depict Freddy's second trip to the DC Universe dreamland! Please rate and review, everyone!
