I know you're all itching for this next of chapters, so here you go! Despite a failed attempt to cut short the lives of Aleu and Dusty in the Balto universe, Freddy remains enthusiastic about all he is currently doing, having learned that his next of moves would best be a reentrance into the DC Universe. Previously, he attacked Wonder Woman there, but failed to kill her before she woke up. This time, though, he's going after one of the Green Lanterns, Kyle Rayner, and is hoping to succeed with him where he failed with Wonder Woman and, more recently, Aleu and Dusty. So let's see whether or not Rayner's power ring can save him from Freddy's sheer power with the reading of this chapter.

THINGS TO NOTE:

I own none of the characters. They all belong to their respective franchises.

Freddy Krueger's Otherworldly Trips

Chapter 13-Yellow Brick Road

As you recall, the Justice League Of America had, after Wonder Woman's unfortunate encounter of a near death experience with Freddy Krueger, done all that they could to get ready for whenever Freddy would come back to their universe, but what none of them counted on was that other objectives could lead to suddenly falling asleep, and they could not predict when he'd return to their universe or any other he'd visited before. This was unfortunate, especially for the Green Lantern who was Kyle Rayner. You see, Rayner was, currently, feeling exhausted.

He'd had a long day of ring-slinging and crime fighting, and although he had managed to win the fight he got into with Doctor Polaris and save the day, albeit after an extremely long and hard battle, he'd spent a lot of stamina and ring power in doing so and had just barely been able to get back to the JLA headquarters. He was now in the living room of the place and on one of its couches, really ready to pass out after such a tiring day as this. He said to himself: "Damn, am I spent! I'm just glad that what took a lot out of me wasn't for nothing."

Just as he was murmuring while dozing off on the couch: "Thank God I saved the city and was able to make it back here to this couch to rest…" he shut his eyes for a second and then opened them again, only to see that he was somehow in what looked like the land of Oz, right down to the yellow brick road. He said to himself, albeit out loud: "What the hell? Am I seeing things or am I in that land that was in 'The Wizard Of Oz'? How did I get here if I just went to sleep on the damn couch?"

Suddenly, he saw a few demonic looking munchkins along with an emerald city up ahead from the yellow brick road, and one of the former said: "One, Two, Freddy's Coming For You!" A second devil munchkin went: "Three, Four, Better Lock Your Door!" A third devil munchkin then chanted: "Five, Six, Grab A Crucifix!" A fourth demonic munchkin let out: "Seven, Eight, Better Stay Up Late!" Finally, a fifth demon munchkin sang: "Nine, Ten, Never Sleep Again!" A second after hearing all of this, Rayner immediately recollected all that had happened previously with Wonder Woman and her near death experience with Freddy Krueger.

"Holy shit! I'm in a land of Freddy Krueger's making!" Rayner exclaimed. He looked all around for where Freddy might be, but suddenly heard a puff of magic appear, and looked to see Freddy dressed in wizard attire right in front of him. White wizard attire, to be precise. Freddy's words to Rayner were: "That's right, Green Lantern! You sure are! And you're about to be offed by the evil wizard! The horrible wizard of Oz! Me! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" "Not on your life, Krueger, and certainly not on mine!" Rayner shouted.

Subsequently, Rayner made a giant drill come out of his ring and it bore through Freddy, making the dream demon go: "AAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Additionally, Rayner eliminated all of the demonic munchkins by making five grenades fly out of his ring, one grenade hitting each of those monster munchkins. While they exploded, they went: "AAAAAAAAARRRRGGGH!" But all of a sudden, though Rayner seemed to have the edge just now, Freddy first blocked a big power beam from Rayner's ring by making part of the yellow brick road go up like a tidal wave (since Green Lantern power rings didn't affect anything yellow)and then cast a spell at him that was actually meant as a distraction.

For after Freddy said: "OOOOOH, good protecting yourself, ring slinger! Too bad it isn't gonna fucking mean anything for shit in the long run!" and Rayner made a shield from his ring to block the spell and said: "Like hell there isn't, Krueger!" Freddy teleported behind him and did a slashing of his claw glove's blades down Rayner's back, plus simultaneously made it so that the already utilized part of the yellow brick road elongated itself and nailed Rayner right in the guts, causing the Green Lantern to yell out in agony: "E-RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! UULLLLLLLLLLLLF!" Rayner bled from his back and fell to his knees, then Freddy cast a paralysis spell on him.

"Ha, ha! I tricked you good!" Freddy cackled while making the yellow brick road cause Rayner's ring to be rendered useless. "Yeah, I made it so that you'd need to shield yourself, then teleported in back of you so I could give you a backhand spawned injury! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! And now you're completely helpless and utterly at my mercy! And anybody who knows Freddy Krueger knows that he shows no motherfucking mercy!" Freddy picked up the paralyzed Rayner and told him: "You see the Emerald City in the distance? It will be perfect for a guy like you, much better than this yellow brick road here, given that yellow is your ring's weakness."

He stepped back and prepared to hurl Rayner at the Emerald City, saying while this was happening: "It must throw you, though, how, quite ironically enough, you will reach the Emerald City…" He then hurled Rayner into the air at the Emerald City, finishing his sentence by going: "…IF YOU FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD!" Freddy then burst out laughing as Rayner was hurtling at the pointed tops of the Emerald City's buildings, able to tell that Freddy's intention was to impale him on those pointed tops.

He understandably opened his eyes widely, as his paralyzed state and neutralized ring all made it so that he couldn't do a damn thing for shit about what was about to happen to him, but a fortunate and timely twist of fate saved Rayner's life. Rayner woke up just before he hit the point of a top of an Emerald City building that was nearest, and as a result, he was still alive, although it took him quite a bit of time to see that he'd woken up in just the nick of time and had survived his encounter and near death experience with Freddy Krueger.

As soon as he saw that he was, in fact, still alive and in one piece and had thus made it all through his ordeal with Freddy still living, he said: "Thank…thank God…I woke up when I did. Otherwise, this world would be minus one Green Lantern…" He all of a sudden saw that he was sitting on the floor near the couch he'd been lying on, and just at that moment, he saw some of his fellow JLA members come into the living room. Plastic Man, Martian Manhunter, Vixen and Wonder Woman, to be precise.

Eel said to Rayner: "Kyle? What's going on? When me, Diana, Manhunter and Vixen all were upstairs on one of the higher floors of this place, we heard a lot of noise from down here in the living room!" Manhunter then asked: "That must have been you, since you're in only one in here now that we've made it down to see what was happening. Are you all right?" "I'm afraid I am a long fucking way from all right, guys." Rayner replied to them. "Diana! Remember how you got attacked by Freddy Krueger before?"

"Only too well. Why?" Diana then said to Rayner, who promptly responded: "Because I got attacked by the bastard this time! I didn't count on having a dream where he'd attack me, but the son of a bitch is back, or at least he was! We've been caught up in our ordinary duties a lot of the time lately, and I'm no exception to that! After the tiring day I had, I passed out on the sofa! I can't believe it was at a time when Krueger was revisiting our universe! He almost killed me and I would have been killed if I hadn't woken up exactly when I did!"

"Dear God…he's not kidding at all! Look at how his back is bleeding!" Vixen an instant later let out. "Okay, we've got to get those wounds treated, and we need to make it so we double our efforts in terms of focusing on this Freddy problem." Manhunter told to Rayner, who at once replied: "I'll say we do! We also need to see whether my ring's working again or not, since it got turned off in Krueger's dreamland with help from his yellow brick road!" "Yellow brick road?" Eel asked as he stretched himself over towards Rayner to help him up.

"I'll explain while my back cuts are being treated." Rayner answered him. "Fair enough." Eel replied. He kept elongating himself so that Rayner could be held onto just in case his wounds caused him to fall over in pain while walking. "I'll let the others know while you three help him out." Vixen told Diana, Manhunter and Eel. "About how Freddy's struck again and he's got to be focused on more? Wise decision." Diana commended her. "We'll catch up to you and the others after Kyle here has been fixed up." Manhunter added. Vixen nodded and took off.

As she went to look for the rest of the JLA to fill them in on how Freddy had struck again and more needed to be done about this threat he posed, especially since he might very well come back to the DC Universe, Kyle was taken to the bathroom of the JLA's headquarters base to get his wounds treated. As for Freddy, he had just reentered his own universe into his boiler room of a throne room, and after almost killing Rayner but falling short of it at the last second, tripping at the finish line, let me tell you, and make no mistake about it, he was PISSED THE FUCK OFF!

"NOT ANOTHER FUCKING FAILURE!" Freddy exploded. "Dammit, it was one thing for me to nail Jesse St. James in the Glee universe dreamland despite how Rachel Berry got away and so did Mercedes Jones! But it was another for me to fail to kill Dusty and/or Aleu when I got into the Balto universe dreamland, and it was something else entirely for me to fail to kill Rayner the Green Lantern when I revisited the DC universe dreamland! I can't fucking stand this bullshit for shit, fuck it! I thought my killing of Sid was the starting point of any full failures being over! But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I had to fuck up twice more after I killed St. James!"

Freddy angrily sat back down in his throne, then slowly but surely regained his goddamn composure. After he had, he stood up again and said: "Still, another nightmare will surely cheer me up, especially since I can't just keep failing. There has to be a time when I will make another kill, and that time could very well be the upcoming one. So let's goddamn get to it." He went on over to his orb and picked it up, telling it: "My orb, you know full well what I want, so I'm not even gonna bother telling you what I want you to do. Just do your thing."

The orb did its thing as it had done repeatedly previously, and when Freddy learned the place he would best be headed next, he snickered: "Well, well. Another revisiting, this time to the Marvel universe. And specifically into the dream of Spider-Man. I suppose that, where I did not claim another victim in one revisited comic book universe, I'll snatch one in another! Well, I had best get going. After all, the wall-crawling, web-slinging genetic wonder I'm now after isn't gonna be sleeping forever." So he walked through the portal passage that the orb presented him.

He was soon in Spidey's dream, and he was by all means intent on squashing a spider, or actually, slashing one. Was Spider-Man going to be able to make it through the night, or would it be revealed to Mary Jane Watson Parker the next morning that she was short one beloved hero of a husband? Hey, when you've read the chapter which is this one's successor, you'll know all too well of what the answer is. And given what I've just said at this moment, you know what that has to mean in terms of this chapter.

END OF CHAPTER 13

So, how did you guys like this chapter? I hope that you found the latest Wizard Of Oz parody to be highly amusing, and that it fit well with a Green Lantern's power and weakness to do it like I did! Although I didn't have Kyle Rayner killed, since he's an important part of the DC Universe, I truly had the extent of his supposed Green Lantern fearlessness tested here and I also made it so that his power rings limits were indeed demonstrated in full! At least in one way, anyhow. And hey, will Freddy see to it Spider-Man has spun his last web in the next chapter? Or will Spidey luck out despite how his luck is normally piss-poor? Please rate and review, everyone!
