I just want all of you AMAZING readers (who have given me the most AMAZING feedback! THANK YOU!) to know that I do not own anything, that the ages are a little jacked up because of the timeline I have started things at, and that I love you all for clicking the link that lead you to this crazy story. Thank all of you that reviewed and/or favorite-ed and/or followed my story.
Important-ish: Ok... Here's the chapter...
Um, to the reader with the question about how long Christian and Ana have been married:
I screwed up the timeline because if I hadn't it would seem like a twelve year old became a father... so that didn't happen. So Christian was like twenty-six when he and Ana got married, and (as you pointed out) is now thirty-four or thirty-five... I'm going with the highest number... so if Christian is thirty-five he'd have been married to Ana for nine years. Sorry about the confusion.
Now, a reader pm-ed me and asked me to write a version of this story only if Camilla Torres (Nicolette's biological mom) had given Nicolette to Christian when she was four or so. What I want to know is if the idea sounds appealing to the rest of you before I go writing an entire story about something that nobody likes. Review or PM me the answer please and thank you.
Chapter 48: He's Got Her
"Yeah, that's how it usually works." Lee Anne answered, seeing that her best friend was stunned into silence.
"Well, then let's go." Christian responded, tilting his head toward the door.
"How did you get here so fast?" Nicolette asked.
"Not many people fly on the fourth of July, so it was relatively easy to get a flight secured within twenty minutes, and once everyone else heard that you were getting married in Vegas in less than three hours," Christian paused and smirked, "I'm not so sure I've seen Mia get packed that fast before. Besides, jets fly faster than planes."
Nicolette could only nod dumbly.
"So, are we going to get this wedding on the road or what?" Mia asked, she wore a beautiful chiffon baby pink dress with matching heels.
"Ok." Nicolette breathed.
Kate and Mia giggled childishly.
"Alrighty. Phoebe can be the metaphoric flower girl at this moment, Kate can you hold her? Thanks, Elliot can you walk with Theodore... Yes, I know your names! She's my best friend!" Lee Anne cried, taking charge of everything.
"Alrighty, Mia, can you walk with Ana- wait, better idea. Ana can you hold Phoebe and Mia can you walk with Theodore? That's perfect! Mr. Carrick and Mrs. Grace, will you walk in front of Elliot and Kate, perfect. Hey, Tara, Nicolette you want to screw with Max for a minute?" And without waiting for a response, "Tara, Mitchell walk in front of Mr. and Mrs. Grey... Jonathan between Ana and Mia and Grace and Carrick." Lee Anne ordered.
"Lee Anne, could you use a gorgeous six letter word please?" Nicolette called.
"I'm only acting this way because you aren't being diva enough!" Lee Anne chuckled as Nicolette shook her head. Lee Anne bounced in front of Nicolette with a huge smile on her face.
"Now, I will walk between Ana and Mia, and Grace and Carrick, don't trip please." Lee Anne kissed Nicolette cheek and they hugged.
"Thank you." Nicolette whispered.
"No issue." Lee Anne turned and joined her boyfriend.
Then they started moving.

Max watched with confusion as the Greys mixed in with his friends walked into the makeshift 'church'.
The Greys looked impeccably dressed, Mia in pink, Grace in red, Ana and Phoebe in purple, and Kate in green. The men wore tuxs.
And then Nicolette walked it.
To Max she looked like a goddess, an angel from the Heavens.
Perfect, she wore an old necklace and bracelet that he didn't recognize, and brand new looking earrings.
Max watched as Christian leaned down and whispered something in Nicolette's ear as they stood in front of the alter, Nicolette pulled back, gave him a watery smile and threw her arms around her father.
Max could hear her say, "I love you daddy."
Nicolette and Max joined hands at the Preacher's urging.
The two could only look in each other's eyes and grin.
...ooo...
Christian sat down next to Ana and pulled Teddy into his lap, as he watched his daughter and Max join hands. Christian blocked out the preacher's voice and focused on how happy his daughter looked. That's why he was doing this. The glowing look on her face that made him love Max for putting on her face.
She looked beautiful, even in the non-traditional setting.
They'd be doing a traditional wedding with more people invited right?
Christian hoped so, he wanted everyone to know that he can do this. He can give his daughter away without killing the guy. He wanted her wedding to be as lavish and beautiful as her.
Christian listened as the two exchanged the traditional vows, and cocked an eyebrow at his wife... see?
Ana rolled her eyes and silently chuckled.
"And now, by the power invested in me! You may kiss the bride!" The preacher smiled as the two kissed.
The Greys clapped, while the twenty-something year olds cat called and whistled at the passionate kiss between their friends.
Christian couldn't help but smile at how happy his daughter looked.
And how in love Max looked with her.
She'd be fine. Christian thought. He's got her now.

Grace smiled at her granddaughter from afar as her granddaughter and now, grandson-in-law spoke quietly. She could see the love bubbling between the two, and was pretty sure a blind man could see it too.
"Hey lovebirds!" Lee Anne shouted, Grace laughed as Nicolette and Max instantly looked at her- who snapped a picture on her phone. Nicolette pressed a soft kiss to Max's lips and then made her way over to her grandmother.
"Hey Grandma, I know you would have wanted to be here earlier and helped with everything..." Nicolette trailed off and bit her lip.
"But..." Grace started for her.
"I couldn't risk losing Max again. I love him so much, and if dad knew what we were planning, he'd tie me to a bed and lock me in a room or something before killing Max. I couldn't- wouldn't- go through the pain of losing Max again. And if I told everyone, but dad and mom, he'd find out somehow." Nicolette twirled a lock of hair around her finger.
"It is alright. I forgive you this once. But you better start planning a real wedding soon. Because I refuse to not be matching the wedding colors again for a wedding." Grace smiled as Nicolette chuckled.
"We were planning on arranging an actual wedding as soon as dad was used to the idea... that way he wouldn't kill Max or something." Nicolette joked, Grace laughed.
"And no more of this Vegas nonsense." Grace frowned, wondering how gambling country could be considered 'romantic'.
"What? Vegas just became my favorite city." Nicolette wrinkled her nose and laughed as her grandmother pretended to faint.
"What is going on here?" Christian asked as he walked up to the women.
"Your daughter has a sick sense of humor my son." Grace smirked.
"She can have a sick sense of humor as long as she doesn't run off to Vegas to get married anymore." Christian smiled as Max came up and placed a hand on Nicolette's lower back.
"I sure hope she doesn't, sir." Max smiled, and pressed another kiss on Nicolette's lips.
