The Sleepover Part 1

A/N: so sorry about the long, long wait for an update! A lot of things have came up and I haven't really been in the writing mood. But I'm starting to get back in the swing of things! I hope this chapter is good, I'm sorry if it is rough!

Caitlyn and Summer had arrived at the Cohen's around 6; just in time for dinner. The seven of them sat around the outside table that was located on the patio near the grill. "So I brought a whole bunch of scary movies we could watch." Caitlyn smiled to Elena as the two of them were having their own little conversation. Elena smiled. "Oh cool! We also have Netflix so we can look for scary movies there too."

Ryan heard scary movies; and decided to jump in. "Elena; you know you can't watch scary movies; you have nightmares." Elena put down her hotdog and waited until she swallowed before she spoke. "Ry; I like them…besides it's a sleepover; we're supposed to watch scary movies."

Ryan shook his head. "No Elena. You are not watching scary movies. You are too young anyway; you will have nightmares. You have nightmares just by watching CSI. That's why I made you stop."

"But I like them!" Elena raised her voice; narrowing her eyes at her brother. Ryan was about to stand up and just put her over his knee right then and there; and Sandy could tell too. He put his hand on Ryan's forearm to sit him back down and to remind him that he does not need to handle the parenting stuff. Sandy cleared his throat before speaking. "Elena; we understand that you like to watch scary movies; and those shows; but I'm sorry honey; you are not allowed to right now. You get nightmares and we want to try to keep those nightmares away. Maybe when you are a bit older; we will let you try watching them again; but as long as you have nightmares; you aren't going to watch them understood?" Sandy raised his eyebrow to conclude that he wanted it to be the end of the conversation.

Elena pouted and her shoulders slumped; clearly disappointed. "Yes sir." She said; "Ryan shouldn't have been listening in the first place it wasn't his damn business." She continued under her breath; or so she thought. Kirsten heard her quite clearly. She placed her napkin on the table after wiping her mouth. She stood up looking at Elena. "Elena go in the house please."

Elena; not knowing that she had heard her comment; looked at her confused. "Why?"

"Because I said so; now go." She narrowed her eyes. Everyone exchanged looks not understanding what was going on. Elena stood up and protruded into the kitchen followed by Kirsten. Elena turned around and looked at her mother as she shut the door that led to the patio..

"We're going to the bathroom; come on.." Kirsten led Elena into the bathroom that was just right outside the kitchen. "Why are we in here?" Elena was getting a little nervous. Kirsten reached for the bottle of Jergens soap. "I heard what you said Elena Nicole and you know what happens when you say a swear word. Now stick out your tongue."

Elena had tears sting behind her eyes. She hated soap; I mean HATED it. She shook her head. "Noooooo I don't like it." Kirsten gave her a stern look. "You should have thought about that before you swore."

"but you weren't supposed to hear me!" She argued, her voice raised slightly. Kirsten just gently grabbed her arm and turned her slightly and delivered a swat to her denim clad backside. "Don't you dare talk to me like that Elena. Your friend is here and I really do not want to give you a heated backside; but if you continue this that will happened do I make myself clear?"

Elena nodded furiously. "Yes ma'am."

"Good; now please stick out your tongue; so we can get this over with and join the others." Kirsten repeated; calmly but firmly.

Elena hesitated for a second; but stuck her tongue out just enough so Kirsten could squirt too good squirts on her tongue. "Now swish it around your mouth until I tell you to stop." Kirsten directed; when Elena started she started to count in her head. After about thirty seconds she told Elena to spit and rinse. After two rinses Elena wiped her mouth and looked at Kirsten with teary eyes. "I'm sorry mommy." She sniffled.

Kirsten wrapped her in a hug and kissed her cheek. 'I know baby; now let's go back out there so you and Caitlyn can continue your sleepover." She smiled and followed Elena back out to the table.

"Everything okay?" Sandy questioned the two girls.

Kirsten nodded. "They are now Hun. I'll tell you about it later okay. Let's just continue eating." Kirsten smiled winking at Elena.

Elena and Caitlyn were in Elena's room; changing into swimsuits. They decided it would be cool to go night swimming. Of course Someone had to be outside with them though supervising them. Elena wore a black and white polka dot one piece but it was designed to look like a dress.

Caitlyn smiled when she turned around from putting her suit on. Hers was a blue and pink polka dot tankini. "Oh my gosh your suit is so cute!" She squealed.

Elena laughed. 'Thanks, so is yours!" she paused for a quick second. "it so stinks that we can't watch scary movies. I mean who care if I get nightmares! It's not like I'm gonna be alone tonight! And I may not even get nightmares this time. I don't even know why I get nightmares; I love scary movies." Elena huffed; tying her hair in a messy bun.

Caitlyn nodded in agreement but then a mischievous smile grew on her face. "Well we will never know if you would have nightmares if we don't watch and find out."

Elena grinned alongside her new friend. "I like the way you think Caitlyn." She laughed. "But seriously; though we can't get caught, I'll be in a lot; and I mean a lot of trouble."

"We won't get caught." Caitlyn assured her. "If you have nightmares just wake me up; that's if we sleep. I love to pull all nighters at sleepovers!"

Elena looked down with a small smiled. "this is my first sleepover; ever; I never been to one and I never had one. So I never pulled an all nighter at a sleepover. I only ever pulled one all nighter and it was when I was ten; and I asked Ryan if I could stay up and watch movies but he said no; well I did anyway and I was caught because I had a horrible attitude and was grouchy. That landed me a week without TV and a sore backside." Elena finished then blushed when she realized she just told Caitlyn she got spanked.. Caitlyn saw how embarrassed she got and spoke up.

"Hey it's okay; I get spanked too… admitted." Elena looked up; "Wow I didn't think anyone else got spanked."

Caitlyn chuckled. "You'd be surprised actually"

A few seconds of silence went by before Elena spoke again. "Well….lets go swimming!" She laughed. They two girls went outside where Sandy and Kirsten were lying in lounge chairs. They smiled at the girls as they walked over to the pool.

Sandy smiled and looked over at Kirsten. "I'm so happy Elena finally made a friend around her age." Before Kirsten could respond the girls squealed as they jumped in the pool. Kirsten laughed and nodded. 'yeah; me too Sandy. She really needs this."

A/N: Okay I know its kinda short; the next chapter will be the sleepover continued! I hope you guys liked it and again im sorry it took so long! Hopefully next one wont take as long!
