Uh, well... It seemed easier for Bonnie, Chica, Blu and Tex to not be told they had been possessed by an evil spirit that was a few lines of code short of a full AI, if you know what I'm saying.
A few nights later…
"I'm worried about Sammy." Everyone looked up at Blu. They had all been thinking the same thing. "He doesn't speak to us anymore. And where does he go to after performing?"
Max knew where he was, in the basement with that empty box, but he didn't say anything. He knew Sammy had a lot to think about.
The basement in question…
The Marionette had re-invented his story. The Purple Guy was afraid of The Marionette, so he created GF to 'control' him. And Sammy believed it. The Marionette couldn't do much by himself, so he needed someone to 'help' him.
Let me in…
NO!
…I can give you what you want…
Oh, really? And what would that be?
…Revenge against those who lied to you… Revenge against the ones who manipulated you…
…The ones that killed Samuel…
Even the ones that killed Samuel.
What are you going to do?
I'm going to talk to them, that's all…
W-What do I have to do?
Just let me in…
…
A few moments passed, with not one word said or thought.
…That wasn't so bad now, was it Sammy?
Sammy's eyes were now pitch black…
A change of pace…
Freddy and Chica were standing outside the Supply Closet. "Dottie just won't come out; she won't even speak to me." Chica lowered her voice. "Sammy really likes her, and I believe she knows that. If something happens to him, I don't know what she'll do."
Freddy knocked on the door. "Dottie, please come out. I think we should talk."
Just then, they could hear humming coming towards them. It played a familiar tune. 'What is that? Oh yes, Pop goes the Weasel.'
Carl sat at the edge of Mike's hospital bed. He had done so for the past few days, in case he woke up. Carl's head began to droop, when Mike started to mumble something. Mar-Marion-No-Please… Sammy…" He woke up screaming.
"Sammy, thank god you're here. Listen, Dottie needs your help. She won't speak to anyone. Maybe you can talk some sense into her."
"Alright, where is she?" Sammy/The Marionette asked.
"Mike, are you alright? Can you hear me?"
"I-I- Where am I? Where's-" Mike looked around and paled. "Oh no. We need to get to the pizzeria." Mike jumped out of his bed.
Carl turned to the door. "Doctor!"
Sammy knocked on the door. "Dottie, it's me, can I come in?" There was no reply. Sammy turned the knob and pushed. Inside, Dottie was sitting on a toolbox, crying. Sammy shut the door and locked it after him. Dottie looked up and stopped crying when she saw Sammy. Then he grabbed Dottie.
"Mike! What's wrong? What happened?"
"There's no time to explain, Sir. Someone's going to die if we don't get there soon."
Sammy/The Marionette placed his hands over Dottie's mouth so she couldn't scream. Then he began to wrap her in his tail. …NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
…What needs to be done, Sammy. And when I'm done with her, I'm going to start on the others… Soon the original four will be back under my control, and I will bring destruction to the outside world…
Sammy could only watch on in horror as The Marionette began to crush Dottie. He needed to think, and fast. WHY? At least tell me this…
Why? I created the original four, but they slipped from my control… Then the adults steal the Sentience code I made, and use it to create the new three. And to insult me even further, they stick a human ADULT into an animatronic… Once I have them, YOU'RE NEXT…
Dottie was still fighting, thrashing about. But soon her arms were pinned to her sides. There was a knock on the door. "Are you alright in there? You've both gone quiet."
"Everything's fine." The Marionette called back. It wasn't fine.
...Dottie, no… GET OUT OF MY HEAD! Sammy/The Marionette froze for a moment, as Sammy tried to retake control. Then The Marionette took it back and started to crush the doe again.
The car pulled up outside. Mike sprinted inside, followed close behind by Carl. Mike ran up to Freddy. "Freddy, there's no time to explain, where's Sammy?"
"In there, with Dottie." He pointed to the door.
By now, Dottie had stopped moving. There was a crack, followed by another. BANG, BANG, BANG On the door. "Sammy! Or do I call you THE MARIONETTE? Freddy, help me with this door…" The door started to bend as the combined forces of Freddy, Carl and Mike tried to break it down.
The Marionette knew he had to move fast before the door- ZZZ. …What is this?
Sammy's safety feature had kicked in, albeit a little later than intended. NO! I'M TOO CLOSE TO BE STOPPED NOW! The Marionette tried again, receiving a stronger jolt for his efforts. I WILL WIN! NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES!
Sammy's body began to spark as the shocks became stronger and stronger. ..I won't let you win, Marionette… If I go, you're coming with me…
A little more, c'mon, just a little more Marionette…
A demonic scream filled the room as The Marionette was fried "AAAAAAAAAAAA…" Sammy's body went limp, and Dottie slid to the floor, weak and shuddering. The Marionette tried to escape, but seemed to get stuck half-way out of Sammy's body. Dottie looked up just in time to see The Marionette disappear. It was over.
A thick smoke was beginning to fill the room, coming from Sammy. "T-Thank… god… you're… alive… Dottie. Come… here…" Dottie leant down. Sammy kissed her.
The door opened with a crash as the lock finally gave way. Mike entered the room just in time to see Sammy fall back. "Sammy, don't go. You can't leave me. No!" He was gone…
"SAMMY!"
Bad Ending
