"This mission of mine is very dangerous, are you sure you would like to accompany me?" Miroku asked Inuyasha.

"I remember that name, I must see him face to face and end his life like he did mine." He snarled, growling a little.

Kagome gasped, "So it was Naraku that shot you?" she wondered aloud. He whipped his head back at her angrily.

"I don't want to talk about it, especially with you!" he left the hut again, leaving Kagome with the monk.

There was an awkward silence, then the monk spoke.

"So I heard you came from a well, and can't get back. Maybe I can help. Where is this well?"

"Oh that would be so nice, I miss my mom. Let me show you!" She took his hand and ran out of the hut hurrying to the well. In minutes they were staring down it, seeing what everyone else saw, dirt.

The monk shook his head and began taking out scrolls of prayers and placing them on the well, muttering some aloud. They heard footsteps crunching on the grass and turned around to see Inuyasha and Shippo, the young fox demon.

"What are you guys doing?" Inuyasha asked with an offstandish attitude. Man he sure was grouchy, thought Kagome, but she understood why he would be so guarded after Kikyos betrayal.

"Miroku is trying to help me get back home." she turned back to look into the well, maybe theres some button or rock in there that activates it, she wondered. She realized she was being silly, but then again she was in a totally different world filled with demons and magic so a trap door might not be too far off.

"What is that?" She asked the group now all looking down the well.

"What? I don't see anything." Little Shippo said, he was the guardian of this well, he would know if there was a way back. Kagome pointed to the purple glow coming out of a tiny spot in the well. It was the same glow that revealed the Shikon jewel yesturday. She hurried to climb into it, but her necklace snagged on a small piece of wood, opening the pouch. The tiny shard fell out onto the grass.

"Is that a shard?" Inuyasha snatched it up before anybody could try to get it.

"You had one this whole time? Why didn't you tell me!" He grew angry and pulled her out of the well. He was ranting and raving about her secret, and how could she. Kagome turned to Shippo, "Lady Kaede said something about me being able to control Inuyashas temper, how do I do that?"

Shippo started to laugh, and ran to Inuyasha and jumped on his back. Holding on tight he grabbed the necklace and whispered something in his big dog ears. They perked right up and his eyes grew big. He paused from his rant and turned to Kagome, fury in his eyes. He took a step towards her and Shippo shouted.

"Kagome, you need to find a word that you want to use everytime he gets like this. This will stop him dead in his tracks! Shout something!" He yelped as Inuyasha threw him off and ran towards the young girl.

She grew frightened for a moment and stepped back, she could not think of anything. Right as he was within inches of her she screamed, "Sit boy!" Inuyasha crashed to the ground neck first. He remained stuck there for a long moment.

"Holy cow! It works!" Shippo said, coming to stand by her. The dog demon stood up and stayed silent, away from Kagome. She went back to the well and began climbing back down it.

"Whoa, wait a minute. What are you doing?" Inuyasha demanded to the girl coming closer.

"I saw something in the well, I want to get it out." With that she jumped down. She looked up to make sure noone was watching, especially Inuyasha. She hurried to dig out the jewel shard. Without her necklace she just pressed it into her hand and hurried back up to everyone else.

Miroku was still praying, but looked up when she climbed out. Inuyasha was right there when she straightened her posture. "What did you find?" He said slowly, as if slightly afraid she would shout the word at any minute.

"Oh nothing, I was wrong. I didn't see anything." She shrugged.

"Your lying! What's in your hand, give it to me!" He grabbed her hand but Kagome took a step back hitting the edge of the well with her foot, which threw her off balance a little.

"Inuyasha, leave me alone. It was nothing." She warned him, but he ignored her. He stepped closer to her, and she had to lean back. She was going to fall in if he didn't stop. Inuyasha grabbed her hand again and without thinking she pulled away and with that she fell into the well screaming. She took Inuyasha with her, he wanted that jewel shard. He looked frightened too for a moment, but before they could hit the ground, they fell into nothingness. Like before when she fell into the well at home.

She thought she was going to be sick so she closed her eyes. Soon she felt her butt hit the ground and Inuyasha let out a "Oomph!" sound. She looked up and saw darkness. She turned to Inuyasha, who stood up, and grabbed her, swinging her onto his back. He pushed off the ground and leaped out of the well.

She jumped off him excitedly. She was home! She ran out of the temple and hurried to her house. It was freezing out. As she was opening her door, she almost forgot the boy she brought with her. He was standing by the temple looking around stunned. He then grew sad. He sat on the ground and slumped. He reminded Kagome of a sad little puppy.

She hurried to him. "Inuyasha, I need to go see my family. Come with me." He looked at her strangely for a moment. He stood up and took her extended hand. She wouldn't tell him, but she was deathly nervous. She had never brought a boy home to meet her family, especially a boy with dog ears.

Before she opened the door, she heard him almost whisper,

"I've never met a girls parents before."
