"Remind me, why are we here again?" Max asked.
"Neighbours are complaining, saying that there are loud noises coming from here at night. Since this place is still owned by us… We have to check it out." Carl, Max and Mike were walking down the hallway in the old pizzeria, holding flashlights.
They found their way into the office. "Look at how busted up this place has become. There's dust everywhere." Carl said, spinning around the office chair. It gave out a loud screech of rusted metal and a cloud of years-old dust. "And look at this, I'd almost forgotten about this thing." He picked up an empty Fazbear head and blew the dirt out of the inside.
Mike opened a flap covering an indent in the desk. The inside of the lid lit up for a few seconds and then blacked out. A small map was shown in the bottom right corner. "This was the old camera system." Carl started. "The cameras are all off or broken, so that's why we can't see anything. Hey, switch to Camera 13 for a second, will you?" Another icon popped up on the screen. Carl held his finger on the icon and listened. Sure enough, faint music could be heard coming from Prize Corner.
"We've checked everywhere, sir. There's nothing here. This was my night off, too. Can we go-" Max was cut off by a loud crash coming from… the walls?
"Nothing here, Max? Are you sure? That sounded awfully like something to me." Another loud crash, followed by and almost inaudible cry of pain.
The three followed the sounds down the hallway and into one of the party rooms. It was coming from there. One of the sections in the wall looked different. There was a sledgehammer propped up against the wall next to it. "What's this doing here?" As Mike spoke the banging on the walls changed, almost like fists hitting the wall.
Max picked up the hammer. "If you can hear us, stand back." The noises stopped at once. Max slammed the hammer into the wall, causing it to crack. Max hit it over and over again, until there was a large enough hole to climb through. They all climbed in.
The three shined their torches around. It was a decent sized room. The outside wall had been covering a door. But to what? An old storage space perhaps? Everyone froze when they saw the figure curled up in the corner, sobbing quietly.
"N-Nova? Star, is that you?"
Nova was an old spring-Bonnie suit, missing half of both ears with chips and cracks all over. But Nova could be considered the 'toy' version, with a hard, plastic exterior rather than a fur one. She was half of SpringTrap and half on Bonnie, turquoise covering the torso and mouth lining. She looked up at Carl, showing one magenta eye and one silver one. A bowtie was worn around her neck that could only be described as 'a very light greenish blueish'. "Who-who is Nova? And who are you?"
A few minutes later…
"Alright, let's start from the beginning. Who are you?"
"My name is Kathlynn Jones. I didn't mean to, I'm sorry!" She burst into tears again.
"Wait, sorry for what? Slow down. Tell us what happened."
"O-Ok… It was my thirteenth birthday, and, and, we had come to Fredbear's Diner for the party. I wanted to play hide and seek with my friends, there was Billy, and Chuck, and Maddie… But I was never very good at it… Hide and seek, I mean."
Where to hide? C'mon, there's gotta be somewhere around here. Wait, that door, 'Employees only.' They'll never look for me in there!
Wow, look at all these old bits of metal. "I had forgotten about the game by then, and had just started wandering around." I wonder what the masks are for. Oh! I guess it's in case Spring or Fred get hurt. Wish there were things like that for people.
Hey! What's this? "That was when I saw, well, this." It's a, a, another animatronic! But what's it doing back here? Huh, there's a handle on the back. Whoa, when I pull it, it opens. But why?
"Then I heard Maddie. 'Ready or not here I come!'" Oh no. Uh, uh, uh. That's it! I'll hide in here! "I climbed inside. Then I sat really still." Oh, she's in here! There's nothing here, just turn around and leave. Yes! I did it!
"I got up and jumped around in excitement. Then, well…" SNAP. What was thaAAAAAAA! It hurts all over, why does it hurt? Someone help me! Someone… please…
"Next thing I knew, I woke up and it was dark." Wha… Huh, what's…? I can't see… Ow… I feel, big. Oh yea… I'm still in the suit… I need to, need to reach around and pull the, pull the lever. Just a little more… There, got it. Why can't I… Why can't I get out of the… My head's killing me. I can't think straight…
"After a while, my head cleared a little." Ok, its fine, Kathlynn. I can just go get help. Yeah, that's what I'll do. Now, how to walk in this thing… "I eventually figured out the basics. The door though. The blasted door wouldn't open. Then I found the night vision. It wasn't the same room from Fredbear's. I started to panic. I was ripping the suit off, piece by piece. The gloves come off, see." She pulled of one of her hands to emphasise her point.
There's nothing inside, that's impossible! I've got to be in here somewhere. "It took me a while to realise that I WAS the suit. After that I just started banging on the door. I completely lost track of time. I was just giving up when I heard you three. So I began throwing myself against it, hoping you would hear me…"
"And here we are." Mike finished. "You're gonna be fine now."
"One thing though. Where am I, and what day is it?"
"The date is the 24th of August, 2015."
"Two thousand and fifteen! The party was in 1982. That means I'm now-"
"Forty-six, yes. And we are currently in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza-"
"And that worries me." Carl cut in. "The spring-lock suits were supposed to be all destroyed. If you're here, does that mean other suits were saved as well?"
"We can't think about that now, sir. We should get out of here."
"Wait, I need to see my friends."
"That… Can be arranged."
To be continued… in the next chapter…
