Kagome couldn't take her eyes off the white haired, handsome demon. Miroku handed over the shard quickly and he turned away. The man walked over to Inuyasha moaning, struggling to get up.

He shoved all the debrees off the half demon, and stomped on his back. Inuyasha let out a scream.

"Where is it, brother?" The demon asked Inuyasha in a eerily calm voice. Kagome gasped. Brother? I didn't know he had a brother.

Inuyasha struggled to look up, "Wheres what? Get off me!" He took his foot off his back and Kagome helped him to his feet.

"Sesshomaru. What are you doing here? Go back home. I don't need you here." Inuyasha growled, baring his fangs.

"I am just here to reclaim what is rightfully mine. I heard of your suprise awakening. I want the sword Inuyasha."

"what are you talking about? I don't have any sword. Your a fool." Inuyasha waved him off, and began to turn away.

"Inuyasha! I have given you fair warning. I want the Tessaiga, my fathers sword. He left me this piece of junk," He unsheathed a sword at his side and tossed it onto the ground between them.

"You can have this one, the Tenseiga. I offer a trade. Give me that sword, Inuyasha!" He shouted.

"Look, I don't have the sword! If dad left you that sword, why don't you want it?"

He snorted, "It's useless. Take it."

"No, no way. He left that to you for a reason. I am going to find that Tessaiga, and you won't be taking that, Sesshomaru."

"Oh, Inuyasha. You haven't aged a day. Your still the naive teenager you died as. Once I find my fathers grave, I will have that sword, and with that sword I will finally get rid of you. Once and for all. Be prepared Inuyasha."

Inuyasha laughed, "Good Luck, i've been gone for fifty years and you still haven't found it. At this rate, I'll have the sword before you. C'mon Kagome."

With that final sentence, the demon was gone, the wind rustling where he had just been.

"I need to find that sword." Inuyasha stormed off, Kagome, miroku and shippo following.

"How will you find his grave site? When did he die?" Miroku asked but Inuyasha ignored him. His fury gave him the strength that had been taken from him during that battle.

They trudged in silence for the rest of the day. When he finally decided to stop for the night, Kagome went to him.

She took out her emergency kit and began to dress his wounds. When he took his robe off, she gasped. This morning, he was almost completly torn in half. Now, he was almost fully healed. He still had a few deep gouges that needed attended to, but otherwise he was almost back to full health.

Inuyasha chuckled a little at her suprise. "I am a half demon, remember?" She nodded and dressed his wounds in silence. The other members of the group decided to go search for dinner. The moon came out from behind the trees and shined right down on Inuyashas bare chest. Kagome couldn't help her eyes from trailing down his shoulders past his pecks right down to his happy trail. She blushed and looked away quickly.

Inuyasha had watched her as she stared at him. He wanted to embrace her, but he was still unsure. He chose instead to take her hand. She sat there with him, body turned towards the fire for the rest of the night. He fell asleep no sooner than she had turned away.

Why did she want him so bad? She thought to herself, what was wrong with the boys at home? I know Hojo has been asking about me lately. He's pretty cute. Maybe I should go home, see what he is up too. He'd probably leave me with less questions than this half demon.

She listened all night to Miroku talk about his past. How as a child the wind tunnel was terrifying and uncontrollable. Now, though, he has had enough training the fear has lessoned. He told Shippo of his first love, he was the same age as the little fox demon at the time.

Kagome perked up a bit, Miroku was a big flirt, it was interesting to hear of actual love.

"She was from a village much farther away from my own. She was with me for only a season. Her hair was the blackest black, and her face like it was designed by the gods. When she moved it was like a dance, swift, intricate and beautiful. I loved her from the first day, and she loved me."

"What happened, Miroku?" Shippo piped in.

"Well she was from a famous clan of demon slayers. They were only in my village to learn a new technique to defeat an awful demon just west of us. Once it was mastered they were gone. We were so young at the time, she had to follow. I never saw her again."

"Do you ever think you'll see her again?" Kagome wondered aloud, thinking of home.

"I have thought of that for many years. Wished, and prayed, but it is too heartbreaking to even think about. I don't even like saying her name anymore. However," He paused and winked at the girl across from him.

"If we so happened to meet again, I'm sure old flames would ignite. Now that we are adults now." Kagome blushed as he smiled his signature smile that made her feel naked. Kagome looked away and turned towards Inuyasha. His shirt was still off, his muscles gleaming in the faint light. I wish he would look at me that way, she sighed.

"Do you think Inuyasha likes me?" She asked. Miroku laid down on his mat and propped his head up with his hand.

"It's hard to say with him. Sometimes it's obvious, other times I wonder why he lets any of us stay with him."

"Do you think I should stay?" Tears formed, she was beginning to realize she was more invested than the half demon.

"Only if you are happy. You do not owe him anything. Who knows, maybe some other man, or half demon could make you happy. One less tempermental for sure. Really, if you decide to go, I'll support your decision. Although I would be lonely, still it is yours to make, and only yours."

She nodded and laid down. Pulling her hand out of Inuyashas she went to sleep farther away from him than usual. She needed time to think, away from his oh so sexy scent. It clouded everything.

If she did leave, where would she go?
