Kikyo was alive? Kikyo was alive and Inuyasha knew? Not to mention he was visiting her? How could he? Why did he give me looks and embrace me when he was running around with her? Ugh! She didn't know whether to cry or be angry. She decided to ignore it, maybe he'll confess to everything in the morning.

Unfortunetly he didn't. When the sun rose, he shoved Kagome onto his back and rushed back to camp. Shippo and Miroku were playing with some of Kagomes things from the present time.

Noone said anything at all really. Inuyasha showed off his sword, and began to practice weilding it. As the day went on, he got better, the sword lighter. He put all his concentration on the sword and avoided the girl who he had spent the night with.

I hope that bastards dead. Inuyasha thought. How could he tell Kagome all those hurtful things. He knew exactly where to go to get to Inuyasha. His brother had no feelings for humans. He hated everything about them.

He decided against visiting Kikyo tonight. If Kagome was following him last night she might just do it again. Thats the last thing she needed to see, Inuyasha wrapped all over Kikyo. But he couldn't give her up yet. She died for him.

He slept alone that night. Riddled with guilt, if he didn't want to let Kikyo go, was he willing to let Kagome leave? The thought of that felt just as bad. He tried to make a mental list of pros and cons to each girl but it was harder than he thought.

The next few weeks were awful. There was still awful tension and it seemed like it was never going to get any better.

One morning, they awoke to dogs barking and howling like crazy. They hurried to pack up and go towards the sounds. They arrived to a massacre. Wolves were slain all over the village. Dozens upon dozens. There were men all over trying to help the ones still fighting for their lives, but the effort seemed futile. Miroku, Shippo and Kagome set off to work helping the injured wolves and men. Inuyasha went to look for their leader.

The young man was staring past the edge of the village. He looked like he had fought a hard battle. His forearms had been brutely ripped open.

"Hey, what happened?" Inuyasha asked the guy. He turned around to face him. The man looked defeated, and angry.

"Naraku. He came to retrieve the jewel shards my clan had rightfully earned. He sent over a hundred demons at us, but we couldn't keep up. They took the ones from my arms." He said holding up his bloody limbs.

"How many did you have? Naraku wouldn't come after you like this for two shards." He shook his head.

"We have been traveling around, killing demons and collecting the shards as payment from villagers. We had over a dozen already."

"Hey whats your name anyways?" Inuyasha demanded.

"Koga, leader of the wolf demon tribe. You?" Inuyasha smirked and turned back to return to the village.

Kagome was busy helping a wolf demon bandage his leg from where his shard had once been. The muscle was destroyed. He would probably never run again.

"My tribe thanks you and your friends for assisting us in our time of need." A deep, husky voice said.

Kagome looked up and gasped a little. He was tall and very handsome. He had his hair pulled back into a ponytail and was covered in a loin cloth and a few other peices of fur. His muscles, although bloody and muddy, were still prominent and made her blush.

She stood up and smiled. "No problem, I just wish we were able to help more."

He smiled flirtactiously at her. He was able to see her beauty right from the start.

"I'm Koga, leader of the wolf demon tribe, and you?"

"Oh, I'm Kagome. Just Kagome." She giggled. Idiot, why are you giggling like a little girl in school? She scolded herself, but Koga seemed to like it.

"Once we bury the dead we will have a feast to honor them. I would take great pleasure if you'd stay and join me."

"All of us?" Kagome had to ask, they hadn't had a decent meal in a week.

Koga looked over at Inuyasha who was just standing there watching them, glaring at them. He smiled back, tempting him to say something. He took Kagomes hand and kissed it.

"Only if you agree to sit by me tonight." She blushed and agreed.

That night, Koga spent most of the evening whispering jokes about some of the men around, or telling heroic stories of demon slaying. She was transfixed on his stunning smile. Although he appeared human, he had little fangs that showed. She thought it was cute.

"How old are you Koga?" She asked him once they were alone. He invited her to take an after supper walk, much to Inuyashas distaste.

He smiled wide and puffed out his chest. "I am fifteen, and already the leader. What about you?"

"I'm fifteen too. That's impressive, being that successful already." He smiled and they continued to walk. Koga was smitten.

What was not to like about her? Her body was curvacious, her face beautiful. She was funny, caring, and shy. She chatted with all the guys in the tribe, and they all seemed to like her. The only real problem was that mutt Inuyasha.

The whole time at dinner, he refused to eat, but instead sat there and glared at him. He obviously cared for her. But did she feel the same way?

"So what is up with that Inuyasha guy. Why is he so angry all the time?" Kagome was silent for a long moment.

"He's just grumpy. Always has been." She replied bluntly.

"How long have you two known each other?"

"Well, not two long. About four months or so. He is a softy at heart though, he just has a hard shell."

"Oh, are you his mate?" He asked rather straightforward.

Kagome stopped in her tracks, red all over.

"NO!" She turned away thoroughly embarrassed.

"I didn't mean to offend you Kagome. I have just noticed the way he looks at you."

Kagome didn't respond.

They hurried back to the village where Miroku and shippo were sitting around a fire in the middle of the square.

"Wheres Inuyasha, Miroku?" She asked, heart thumping as she watched Shippo and him exchange looks.

"Do you really want to know? Kagome, listen. Inuyashas just mad about you-"

"He went to see her didn't he?" She demanded. Noone said anything. She already knew the answer. She turned back around and hurried back out of the village.

Miroku stood up to follow her, but Koga was faster. He had super speed and rushed after her. He had no idea why she left, but he would find out who upset his Kagome.

He found her sitting on a log sobbing. He came to her and sat next to her. She didn't look up. He embraced her and she leaned into him. Letting him rub her back. When she stopped crying, he asked her what the problem was.

She hesitated and told him nothing, but he knew. It was that skumbag mutt. He wasn't there when they had returned from their walk. He just seemed like a jealous jerk. There was no way he was going to let her return to him.

Inuyasha stormed through the forests, running on tops of trees at full speed. How dare she flaunt her self in front of that dog? He fumed. He was all over her and she didn't once tell him to stop. Was she trying to piss me off?

She hasn't said two words to me in a week and now she's off on a walk with a guy who has been leering at her all night? Does she think she's getting back at me? Why is she allowed to look at another guy but I can't look at another woman? She is ridiculous, no wonder I want Kikyo. Kagome is a whore!

He hurried towards the spirits. He needed to see her. Toknow he wasn't alone. Two could play that game, Kagome he thought as he embraced the preistess.

They kissed and grabbed at each other in hot passion, as if they were starving animals finding a grain of rice. In moments, Inuyashas shirt was off and Kikyos naked breasts were pushed against his hot flesh. She was grabbing for his bottoms, but he stopped her suddenly. This wasn't right.

He tossed her robe at her and she covered up in confusion. He couldn't lay with Kikyo while Imagining it was Kagomes naked body pressed against his. He sat up and grabbed his robes. He hurried to the lake and stripped off the rest of his clothes, diving in. The coldness of the water felt amazing on his blazing skin. He swam until his arms could no longer hold himself up then returned to wear the undead preistess was waiting for him.

"Why did you come here, Inuyasha?"

"I don't really know. I was angry and needed to see you."

"When are you going to return to me forever?" She sighed.

He didn't answer for a long time.

"Once I collect all the shards."

"How many do you have? I do not want to wait forever here. I get lonely." He nodded,

"I think i've got about fifteen pieces. So it is still a work in progress." She tried to kiss him but he turned away.

"Morning is coming. I need to return." He didn't even tell her goodbye before he sprinted back to see Kagome.
