When he arrived back he immediatly went to the hut they gave Kagome. There were two wolf demons outside guarding her door. He tried to shove them aside but they pushed him back.

"We were given orders from Koga and Kagome that you are to not come inside." A wave of fear ran over him, than anger.

"Is he in there with her?" He demanded. Snatching one up and shaking him like a doll.

"Don't be stupid. Of course not. Koga would never be so forward. Please go to your hut. We don't wanna start any trouble."

Inuyasha stormed off and went to his hut where Miroku and Shippo were already sleeping.

Miroku woke up when Inuyasha came in.

"Man, you really did it this time." He punched the monk in the shoulder as he sat up to talk to him.

"Ow! Come on, man!"

"What happened when they got back?" He said solemly.

"Well what do you think? She realized where you went, started to cry and ran off. King Koga went to her rescue. She returned an hour later. He whispered something in her ear. She nodded then went to her hut.

Then they sent some of the wolves to guard her door so you would leave her alone."

"What do you thinks going to happen? I can't believe I let myself get so angry."

"Honestly, I think she might stay here with Koga. I hate to say it but I think you broke her heart for good this time man." Inuyasha laid down, and Miroku followed suit.

Stay? Here with Koga? She wants me to leave without her? I need her, how am I supposed to find the shards, let alone purify them. Shes just upset. She still cares for me. Right?

In the morning, he went to see Kagome. She was already up and with Koga. He was handing her some fur. She looked at it nervously but nodded. Inuyasha approached her with nervous, repenting eyes.

Her eyes mirrored his. They stepped away from the group to talk alone.

"Is it true then? Your going to stay here," He gulped letting it sink in. "With Koga?"

She was silent for a long time.

"Yea, I need some time to think. So do you. I can't be around you if your still seeing Kikyo. You owe me nothing, so I just want to try this out for awhile. I like Koga."

The last words stung deep. What about me? He thought, but he knew he screwed up.

"I am coming back, you know. One of these days."

She nodded in understanding.

"Well who knows, maybe I'll want to rejoin you. One of these days." He also understood. Once Kikyo was out of the picture.

He wanted to embrace her, but he knew she would pull away like she had been for weeks.

When they left that afternoon, Kagome had already changed into her wolf pack garb. Two skimpy pieces of fur that barely covered her neccessities. He wanted to take her right there, as he almost did Kikyo the night before. She had her hair up in a ponytail. She looked so sexy he had to leave before he was almost naked too.

Without her there wasn't going to be much shard finding. So he decided to focus on getting the proper training for his Tessaiga. Maybe when he returned he could fight Koga and win her back. He sighed, how pathetic.

He needed something to keep him going though. So their next stop was a few villages over, to see the man who forged the Tessaiga so many years ago.
