Hey everyone. I'm really happy to see the positive feedback I got from the previous chapter. Also I'm sorry I left you guys with such a major cliffhanger. I've been occupied a lot lately, but that doesn't mean I'll abandon this story. I actually had this chapter complete for weeks, but then stuff came up.
So without any delay, on with the chapter.
Chapter 12: Back to Bellwood
Watching Fairy World be reduced to nothing was a great thing for Nefarius. Not only was his greatest foe dead, but now he has total power to act out his plans. He smiled at the thought and other things he wanted to do.
"I better not keep them waiting." Nefarius said without guilt.
Turning back, he waved his hand, causing a portal to form. By looking into it, Nefarius could see a familiar looking town. That very town was Bellwood.
The superpowered villain grinned as he flew through the portal and stood on a pavement. He looked around and let out a deep sigh as he eyed his surroundings with evil intention.
"Ah Bellwood. I haven't been here since I had that problem with the alternate 16 year old Tennyson."
Nefarius was standing on a driveway to a house. He didn't mind. He wanted to be there. It didn't take long for him to hear a car driving up to him. The car suddenly came to a halt upon seeing the huge size of Nefarius. A blond woman came out from the driver's sit along with a brown haired man.
Upon seeing them, Nefarius let out a small chuckle that the two could hear.
"Mr and Mrs Tennyson, it's a pleasure to meet the parents of the deceased Ben Tennyson."
Ben's mum suddenly felt shock by the sudden news. Tears then formed as she choked on what to say. But her husband was the opposite as he shot an angry glare.
"What does that mean!?" Mr. Tennyson yelled.
"It's exactly what I said." Nefarius replied so coolly.
The supervillain held his hand up at the man. A sudden invisible force held the human in a green aura and lifted him off the ground. His wife held back a scream as she watched her husband hover helplessly in the airn
The villain just grinned, but held his hand at her like a gentleman.
"Don't worry, I won't kill him yet. There are two other Tennysons that aren't here yet. It would be a shame if they weren't here to be a part of their own demise."
"You're insane!" Sandra yelled at him.
"Why thank you. I try very much to be that." Nefarius chuckled evilly.

Somewhere in the skies was an airship in Bellwood that housed a certain science family. This fily have dealtvwith mystical creaturws called Cryptids and have had their own adventures.
A fourteen year old Zak Saturday was standing at a guard railing. He was standing at a short looking zoo, and facing a small nest that habited his pet Zon.
From a bucket filled with fishes, he threw one at a time, and watched Zon catch and gulp each one down. The teen kept feeding the prehistoric looking bird until someone called him.
"Zak?"
Looking to his right side, he saw a girl he has known for a few months now.
"Hey, Gwen. What's up?" Zak asked.
True to his words, it was Gwen. The red haired walked to his side and sighed.
"It's nothing. I'm just...worried, you know."
"About your cousin?" Zak asked, but knew very well that it was. He rested his hand on her shoulder and responded. "I understand how hard it is, Gwen. I promise you, we we'll find him."
"Alright."
Months had passed since Ben ran away. His parents, cousin and Grandpa were all worried about him. A search party was soon formed, but with no success. When Grandpa Max got in touch with the creator of the Omnitrix, Azmuth, to help, the alien declined, saying that Ben was where he is suppose to be. But that didn't stop his family from searching.
It wasn't until sometime after so much searching that Gwen decided to try communicating with Ben telepathically. By then Ben was in the Teen Titans universe when a crisis caused by Trigon (Raven's father) sank the world into a devastating state. Gwen was confuse when she met Ben in the sewers, and was unaware that it was in another universe.
As Gwen talked to Ben then, she was able to bring his spirit back up to fight, even though she didn't know what was going on. Her connection went off and she was unable to reinstate it. But it gave her hope to know that her cousin was alive and still fighting.
Three months later, Grandpa Max decided to expand his search with the Plumbers and made contact with the Secret Scientists. The only ones interested to help were the Saturdays. Since then, they have been working on anything that could lead them to Ben.
Now back to the current time, Gwen and Zak kept talking until the alarms suddenly went up. A moment passed before Doc Saturday's voice came up in the speakers.
"Attention everyone! Sensors have picked up an unusual energy in Bellwood! Get to the bridge immediately!"
Gwen gasped. "Oh no! That's my home!"
"Come on, let's go!" Zak said right away.
Immediately both teens ran to the door, with Zon flying right behind them.

Meanwhile, a squad of Plumbers aligned themselves right at the home of the Tennysons. They had vehicle sized tanks targeted at Nefarius and other officers pointing their guns at them. One of the Plumbers held a blow horn and spoke through it.
"Release the civilians this instant or else face immediate brute force!"
However no response came from Nefarius. His grin formed to a small snarl as he held his fingers at the Plumbers.
"Simpletons, I have no need to listen to you." Nefarius simply said.
With a snap of his fingers, every single Plumber and tanks were knocked away by a mighty force. But the fight wasn't over, depending on if you can call it a fight.
Two Plumber issued fighter jets suddenly came from the skies with their missiles ready to fire on the huge powerful being holding two humans hostage. However, the being saw them and pointed a single green glowing finger at them. A sudden command suddenly took over their minds, causing them to redirect their attacks to the fallen Plumbers.
Sandra almost screamed upon seeing missiles descend on the Plumbers and make impact. Unfortunately, the terrible situation was not over.
Like the previous attack wasn't enough, the fighter jets opened fire on other jets coming to assist. The ones that came were confuse at the scene, and therefore failed to react when their own comrades fired on them. When that was done, the two fighter jets hit each other and exploded.
The whole neighbourhood seem like a war zone just from the whole thing. People could be seen running for safety as Police officers were deployed to control the situation. Some were able to help the civilians get to safety while a few went to confront the monster causing the panic.
Immediately as the officers got there, they opened fire on Nefarius. Sandra immediately shouted to them.
"Get out of here! He'll destroy you too!"
Unfortunately it was too late. Just with a flick of his finger, Nefarius made the officers and their cars to float into the air and start rotating. It was a terrible scene as the cars came close to hitting the officers, if not that they suddenly fell to the ground and ran off to safety.
The cause of it wasn't Nefarius doing. Upon looking at his arm, he found a rope attach to an animal's claw tied around it. The thing didn't harm Nefarius. But it did take his attention from the officers.
Looking up, it turned out to be Zak Saturday, staying under a clothed patch that Zon is carrying. The teen's eyes glowed orange and so did the claw.
Zak tried to make a psychic connection with Nefarius, but with no success. The supervillain almost pulled the line holding Zak onto him, but the boy was able to release before he could. Then he spoke into a bluetooth piece.
"Guys, I can't get any connection with him. He doesn't seem to be a Cryptid."
Nefarius overheard him and lifted his hand at him.
"What was your first clue?"
Suddenly Zak and Zon found themselves stuck in midair. Nefarius would have done more, but a pink blast hit his face. It did nothing but distracted him, causing him to lose his grip on Zak and his pet. Along with that, he let go of Sandra's husband. The woman ran to her husband's side and helped him get away while Nefarius turned to see who shot him.
It turned out that the pink blast came from Gwen, but she wasn't alone. The other Saturdays stood close to her, ready to fight. Along with that was another squad of Plumbers.
A Plumber saw the two Tennysons and quickly went to their aid. However, thiss caught Nefarius's attention as, he held his hand at the two and brought them back to his side.
"No Tennyson is leaving here!" He shouted angrily.
Gwen quickly held both her glowing pink hands and chant something. Soon green vines shot out from the ground and wrapped the supervillain's body. His hands were held down by the vines, his legs were kept apart and his head was held from moving.
The Plumbers opened fire with everything they got with them. Their tanks and guns fired mercilessly at the villain. However, all their attempts were futile, as Nefarius sucked the life out of the vines and strecthed his hand out at him.
"Everyone get down!" Doc quickly shouted.
Immediately everyone got down, just in time as the tanks were evaporated out of existence. The Plumbers got right up and shot Nefarius in the eyes. While they did that, Doc helped his wife up as Zak landed on the ground with Zon.
"Wow, did you see that?" Zak asked in awe.
Doc sent a scowl look that was enough to answer. Gwen got up and ran off to help her aunt and uncle. Zak tried to stop her, but Fisk (a humanoid like creature with fur) stopped him.
At the meantime, the Plumbers attempts were foiled. It seems that as the shots got close to Nefarius's eyes, they would evaporate immediately. The villain just held his hand at them and caused their weapons to melt. His attention went back to Tennysons and he saw Gwen join them.
"Well isn't this a blast from the past?" Nefarius smirked. "Gwen Tennyson, it's so nice you joined in the extermination of the Tennyson family. Now there's just one last Tennyson that should be here. But of course I don't plan on waiting."
Just as the villain said that, he held his open hand at them and began to charge up for an ecto blast.
However, suddenly Doc charged at him, along with his family. He let out a battle cry, as he charged his energy glove, and punched Nefarius hard in stomach. However, upon impact, the device shattered and sent a volt of eletricity that caused him to scream in pain.
Nefarius noticed the Saturday and sent a small kick that only knocked him a few feet away. Fisk caught him, but the force of the attack knocked him off too. His wife (Drew Saturday) stood with a glowing flaming sword. She directed the tip at Nefarius and shot a huge blast of fire that hit Nefarius right at the hand.
Normally, an attack with such firepower would work. However, Drew's attack did nothing to Nerfarius, who was just standing still like nothing happened. It didn't take long for him to do something was broke the very laws of reality.
The supervillain grabbed the stream of fire coming from Drew's sword. Then he pulled on it, with Drew coming straight at him. Once the woman came, he flicked his huge finger at her and sent her breaking through a wooden fence and a few trash dumps, before finally tumbling on the ground unconscious.
Suddenly, Zon flew at Nefarius with a loud screech. However; upon sighting her, Nefarius flip his finger at the prehistoric bird and sent her flying away into the air. He felt something climb his shoulder and slapped it softly, which caused it to fall to the ground visible. It turned out to be Komodo (genetically altered Komodo Dragon) who was invisible. The big lizard fell from his shoulder and hit the ground unconscious.
The Plumbers suddenly charged at Nefarius, even though their weapons were destroyed. Nefarius laughed at the attempt before he then let out a huge force of air from his mouth that threw them away and destroyed any housevin its path. Fortunately no civilians were in, but the same couldn't be said about the Plumbers.
With all 'obstructions' gone, Nefarius turned back to the Tennysons. His hand never moved when Nefarius easily fought off the Saturdays and Plumbers. However the supervillain found that they were gone. His senses picked up the sound of a vehicle moving, alerting him of where it came from. When he looked to the right, he saw Zak and the Tennysons driving off on the portable Saturday pickup truck. His lips shaped to a frown as he glared at them.
"No one lives here alive." Nefarius muttered.
Suddenly, Nefarius appeared right in front of them and stomps his foot on the truck's hood. It halted the vehicle immediately and trapped the people within Nefarius grasp. The villain snarled at Zak and picked him up from the driver's seat. Gwen gasped, before she became angry as her eyes glowed pink.
"Put him down, you creep!" Gwen yelled angrily.
Nefarius simply chuckled, before throwing Zak away to the skies. Everyone gasped as they watched Zak fly so high that he couldn't be seen. In fact, even his screams couldn't be heard anymore.
Nefarius laughed hysterically at what he did. However, his moment was ruined as a green laser beam hit him at the chest. It didn't hurt the supervillain, but it did grab his attention to see who tried to harm look. His lips formed to a grin as he recognised who it is.
"Max Tennyson. You finally made it to your family's demise. I was worried you wouldn't make it."
Max growled angrily at the villain. He held stood a few feet behind the truck, as he helda weapon similar to the one he used to blast Vilgax three years ago. Once the weapon was recharged, he pointed it at Nefarius and yelled, "Stay away from my family!"
Nefarius didn't bother to say anything. All he did was stretch his hand at the weapon and made it phase out of Max's grip,before he could fire. He then made it appear on his hand and displayed it in front of a shocked Max Tennyson.
"You see, Tennyson, your efforts to delay the inevitable is worthless." Nefarius said with no malice.
Right in front of everyone, he destroyed the weapon in a blast of fire from his hand. The weapon burnt till it was nothing but burnt parts to everyone. Before Max could think, Nefarius lifted him off the ground by telepathic means and made him hover right in front of him.
"Dad!" Ben's dad shouted in fear.
As much as Max tried to struggle, he couldn't get out of Nefarius's grip. Even when Gwen shot mana blasts at the mega powerful villain did nothing to him.
"There's no use fighting, Tennysons! Today is the day you all DIE!" Nefarius shouted out loud with so much happiness.
All the Tennyson felt their bodies get hot. Gwen had to stop as she felt her body's temperature increase. Nefarius had his right hand at them and watched as everyone cried out in pain. Truly, this might be the end.
Suddenly, a green blast hit Nefarius on the chest. It didn't hurt him, but it did grab his attention to look up to the skies.
A lone figure flew right above him, as another figure dropped off from it. The figure landed on the top of the Saturday truck, revealing himself to be Zak Saturday.
The kid shot his claw at the supervillain's eye, causing him to lose focus on the Tennysons. Then the other figure came right at him and engulfed itself in a flash of green light. When the light died down, it slammed both its feet against Nefarius face. Unfortunately, it wasn't strong enough to knock the villain away.
However, since Nefarius was occupied, the Tennysons felt their temperature return back to normal. The telepathic grip on Max ceased and caused him to almost hit the ground, if not for the figure catching him on time when he first tried to knock Nefarius down.
The moment the figure dropped Max on his feet, everyone looked at the figure and gasped. Even though his appearance was unfamiliar, the green hourglass symbol on his chest made it familiar.
Nefarius glanced at the figure and was shocked to see who it is.
"No! It's impossible! Your Omnitrix was timed out! I set Fairy World to explode with you trapped on it! You're not suppose to be alive!"
The figure said nothing, but glared at Nefarius. Now that everyone has seen him, they could obviously state that it resembles a combination of a rooster and a hawk. Its features included sharp claws on his toes and talons on his hands, as well as two larger talons protruding from his arms. It also had a short beak and is covered in brown feathers, along has a white mohawk and belly. It wore a green mask, a green belt with a white stripe, and black jeans. Lastly, the thing that grabbed everyone's attention was that he wore a strap vest with the Omnitrix symbol on the vest hooker.
The figure that saved everyone was none other than the presumed dead superhero, Ben 10.
Everyone (except Zak) were frozen in shock. Even though Max didn't know about Ben being presumed dead, he still felt shocked to see his grandson again. Besides, the moment wasn't really a time for family reunion.
Suddenly, Nefarius charged at Ben with a pure hatred to finish the boy off once and for all. The look in his eyes were clear to back it up.
"Ben, look out!" Grandpa Max shouted.
Ben heard him, but did nothing. The Omnitrix engulfed him in a flash of green light, before he then slammed his hand down on the faceplate. His whole body changed drastically until the light died away.
Everyone was left in awe as they saw an alien form they never knew Ben had. The boy they knew now stood as humanoid robot that's about 20 feet tall. He has a green and white body, large cylinders on his arms, near his wrists, which are full of a green energy with dark green bubble-like spheres. Also he has an Omnitrix shaped chest. His face has no mouth and his head is a pointed, armored helmet. Lastly, he wore the Omnitrix symbol on his green and white belt.
"ATOMIIIIXX!"
Just as Ben cried out his form's name, Nefarius came at him and threw a punch. Ben moved to the side a bit and threw a powerful uppercut to his chin. The impact was so powerful that a burst of green energy shot out of Ben's fist and sent Nefarius flying up into the air.
Ben looked back at his family and said, "Hold on. I'll be right back."
Immediately, Ben flew off the ground to face Nefarius. The rest just stood there and watched as green energy and red clashed against each other.
Zak broke the silence, as he turned to Gwen, "Wow...you certainly didn't tell me your cousin was that powerful."
"Neither did I." Gwen replied in a mix of shock and sadness.
Both Nefarius and Ben were locked in a furious battle in the skies. Just the normal punches caused impacts that blew through the air and made people hear them.
Atomix fought as much as he could, but even he could tell that Nefarius was more powerful. He had to move back from getting blasted by one of his beams, as the mad villain kept coming for him.
The supervillain flew at Atomix again and began throwing ecto balls at him. It took much of Atomix's powers to punch them away and also dodge them. The villain was still a distant away, but yet he always got an accurate shot at Ben.
Simultaneously, Nefarius charged an ecto ball in both his mouth and opened hands. Then he formed another pair of hands and charged up ecto beams. It charged up quick, before Nefarius then unleashed a huge rays of ecto beams.
Atomix hovered in his place, but his hands were charged up with his nuclear energy. Once the beams came, he punched them in oblivion in seconds. Then he held both hands almost together and began to power up an energy ball.
"HAAAAAA-MEEEEE-NA HAAAAA-MEE-NA HA-MEE-NA-HAAAA!"
Immediately he stopped, he let out a huge nuclear energy ball at Nefarius. Its massive size almost came in contact with the supervillain, but it was easily destroyed by a single punch from Nefarius. However, Atomix suddenly came at him and grabbed his face. Before he could do anything, the young hero let go and punched him directly in the face. Its impact sent Nefarius flying over Bellwood and crashing into the waters, which caused a huge tidal wave that almost hit Bellwood.
However, even though the supervillain was down, Atomix knew that Nefarius was certainly not out. That is why he flew over the water and prepared himself for the worse. It was easier said than done, though. Atomix had used so much power that he began to feel so tired. If it weren't for his determination to take down Nefarius, he would have gone off to rest.
Suddenly, a large water whip came out of the water and almost grabbed Atomix's leg. The alien hero was quick to move out of the way, but another suddenly lashed on to his leg. It held Atomix in place just long enough for more to grab his arms and legs, while at the same time holding them apart.
The young hero struggled to get free, but it was futile. He was too tired to power up and blast his way out. To make it worse, Nefarius suddenly hovered to him with a dark aura on his body.
The supervillain said nothing, a he held his finger up, and made hundreds of water particles form into small arrows and had them hover by his sides. All of them were covered in same aura as Nefarius then flung his finger at Ben's direction. It caused all the water particles to fly right into Atomix's metal body and caused so much pain for the pain.
The water particles pierced right through Atomix's armored body, causing him to scream so much in pain. It went on like that for the hero until he weakly bowed his head done. The damage to his body was so much that it even got through the huge sizedOmnitrix insignia on his chest.
As Atomix stayed that way, as a recent flashback came to mind.
AN HOUR AGO
The universe Ben got to knew lost two worlds. The first was its version of earth and another was a world once known as Fairy World. Any trace of them were nothing but some rock debris and pink clouds that hovered in space.
So man countless lives and properties were destroyed by Nefarius. The heroes that tried to stop him failed and died because of it. Even the strongest, Ben Tennyson, failed to beat the all powerful being. He was last seen on Fairy World before it was destroyed by Nefarius.
Normally, he should he considered dead, but yet the hero stood among the debris as a humanoid alien whose entire body is solid black (excluding his hands, which are
white). His body had tiny white star-like spots all over his body, giving him the appearance of a starry sky. Also his eyes were green and pupiless, and his forehead bears three horns.
Inside a pocket dimension made by the alien were two green heads hovering in what looks like its version of space. Ben hovered with them, but his back was against them as he just 'sat' there with his legs held to his knees. His face only contained sadness as he watched an image of Nefarius getting into his universe.
"Are we gonna stay here and do nothing? Watching this thing is getting really boring."
One of them to break the talks was a being known as Bellicus. His mood clearly showed how upset he was about the silence.
"Now, Bellicus, don't be so harsh to him. He's about to lose everyone he cared about after all."
The other head that replied to him was a being known as Serena. Clearly she understood how saddening thing were, but yet didn't consider how insensitive she sounded.
"So what?" Bellicus objected, "He changed into Alien X on his own accord. If he didn't need us, he shouldn't have changed done it in the first place."
"Bellicus!" Serena yelled.
"ENOUGH!"
Both beings ceased, as their attention was drawn to the young hero in front of them. He had his head turned to them, with tears building up to come out.
"You think I wanted this?! You think I wanted to change to Alien X!? Well I didn't, you happy now!? It's the freaking Omnitrix that did this! I already gave up! I can't do anything right! I watched my friend...die...right in front of me. I went off to have fun while my other friends died while trying to protect their world! In fact one of them tried to save the world even though she isn't from this universe! So do you see how pathetic I am!? CAN YOU!?"
A moment of silence passed by for three of them, as they just stayed. The only sound that could be heard was Ben crying. Bellicus and Serena just watched him till the first one broke the silence.
"I see you really are pathetic! How the Omnitrix got to you was a mistake all together!"
"Bellicus! That's enough!" Serena snapped at the other being.
"No, it isn't! Ben Tennyson, you are a disgrace! While you mop and cry, someone is eradicating everything you hold dear! I don't care for useless human lives, but his actions spat on our supremacy over thousands of universes! The Tennyson I knew last time tried to convince me to recreate another universe that was destroyed by another foolish being named Trigon! You and the girl named Raven didn't give up, even though that universe was destroyed! But just because two planets are gone, you cry like we can't do anything! Don't you dare insult Alien X!"
Just as he said that, the image in front of them became brighter and caught Ben's attention. It showed Nefarius holding his parents captive while fighting the Plumbers and the Saturdays.
"So tell me, Tennyson! Are you going to cry and pity yourself!? Are you going to tarnish Alien X's supremacy just because of some tries!? Are you going to let many lives go to waste!?"
"No...No..."
"What!? Speak up! I can't hear such feeble talks!"
"No I won't!" Ben cried out with renewed purpose.
Gone was all the sadness Ben Tennyson felt. He felt new purpose come to his left. It surprised Serena very much that Bellicus was such a motivational speaker, even though it was mean and was for his personal reasons.
"Excellent! Now let's show Nefarius what Alien X can do!"
Ben thought a second, before shaking his head. He turned to the two beings and spoke, "I agree, but that is mistake. Why use one alien when we can use all of them at any command?"
At first both Serena and Bellicus were confused, until Ben smirked and winked at them. Both of them nodded in understanding and said "Motion carried!"
PRESENT TIME
Atomix was still held in defeat. He has long stopped screaming since he had to endure so much pain. For a second it actually made Nefarius think that the hero was dead, but of course he didn't. The energy he used were deadly to kill any being that was below him. The Atomix form was something he considered weaker, even though it was the only being to actual hit him.
All almost seems lost for the young alien hero. However, the situation changed when missiles from above hit the water whips holding Atomix and destroyed them instantly. Atomix was instantly free, but was in so shape to actually float. Instead, he fell right into the water.
The sudden action angered Nerfarius. The superbeing growled angrily and looked at the direction the missiles came from. Looking up, he found the Saturday airship hovering above him. The supervillain scowled in anger and enhanced his vision to look into the flying machine. His expression became worse, once he saw the Tennysons inside along with the rest of the Saturdays.
The villain grew so angry that he decided to destroy them right away. He held his hand at the airship and had it covered with a green aura. Everyone inside found the airship was unable to move. Then to make it worse, the whole place began to freeze up.
Doc Saturday tried to get the airship moving. However, as much as he tried, the controls were frozen instantly. It didn't take long before they heard Nefarius laugh insanely as the whole airship began to crash. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do but scream, as the ship descended close to the waters.
However, suddenly, the airship stopped in the air. The Tennysons and Saturdays had their respective families held up together, until they noticed they weren't crashing. Confused, they found the airship returning back to its normal state. All the ice on the body and controls instantly vanished.
'Uh, what just happened?" Zak asked.
Gwen couldn't help but smile. Even though it may seem unlikely in the pass, one certain hero came to mind.
"Ben just happened." Gwen replied with a pleased voice.
Meanwhile...
"Tennyson!" Nefarius snarled in pure rage.
The supervillain had used his enhanced hearing to listen to them. It filled him with so much anger that he let out a monstrous growl that could be compared to a dragon. Then he began to blast energy blasts into different parts of the sea.
"Come on out, Tennyson! Come out and die!"
The more he shouted, the angrier he became as he shot more energy blasts. The collision with such blasts caused huge amount of water to shoot out into the air. It went so high that some of it hit the airship. Doc Saturday rushed to the controls, along with his wife who handled the other. Even though she had a cast on her right arm and left leg, she was still able to do what she could.
"We have to get to higher ground!" Drew quickly said as she held on to the controls.
The airship was successful to go higher, but it still retained some damages. Gwen couldn't help but keep her eyes on a certain part of the skies. Grandpa Max noticed and looked, but only to find nothing. He nudged Gwen a bit, which got her to look back at her grandfather.
"What are you looking at Gwen?" Grandpa Max asked.
"I don't know how to explain it. I just have the feeling that someone very familiar is coming.'
"What?" Everyone turned over to her.
Suddenly, a twinkle of green light came from the exact spot Gwen indicated. A fast green blur flew right past them and headed straight to Nefarius. Doc Saturday quickly had the place on scene, before everyone then gasped at who it was.
The person on the screen was none other than Ben. What was most shocking was the fact that he wasn't in any alien form. The only thing different about him was that his jacket was black and longer with white twinkling stars. His pants were black with the same stars, along with fingerless gloves which just happened to be wearing. However, what was the most shocking was that the Omnitrix symbol was on his chest.
"Nefariussss!" Ben cried out in a loud voice.
The supervillain looked up in surprise. He saw Ben coming really fast, and quickly put up an ecto shield. Ben drew back his fist and came close to the shield.
"I'm taking you DOWN!"
Just as Ben said that, he blew a punch so had that it broke the shield and sent Nefarius flying to the sea. The villain was able to come a halt, before looking up at the hero, who was now making a straight flight for him.
"Is that so, Tennyson? Clearly, you've learned nothing!" Nefarius scowled.
The Supervillain wasted no time to send four duplicates at Ben. All four of them spread out and unleashed very dark fire blasts from their mouths. The young hero didn't seem bothered, as he approached them. He easily punched the first blast and swung his leg at the three blasts. Instantly, a huge white sonice wave flew out of his leg and destroyed them.
Nefarius growled angrily. Clearly, he now knew how powerful Ben was. It irritated the villain so much that he ordered his duplicates at Ben. The first one appeared right in front of the hero and slashed its claws at the hero. However, the hero caught his huge hand with his one hand and kicked it in the chin. The duplicate instantly was sent flying away.
Another duplicate came at Ben's side. It tried to surprise the hero, with a kick, but Ben grabbed it with both hands and swung it against the third duplicate. Both duplicates dissipated into air, leaving the last one floating.
The last duplicate let out a huge fiery blast in an effort to protect his prime self. Its attack was so bright that the Tennysons were unsure if their dear Ben would survive. But the boy surprised them by flying right through the fire and punching the duplicate away.
Nefarius was shock at what happened, "B-But how?"
"Shut it!" Ben yelled angrily.
The young hero then continued, "I'm going to see my family again! I'm gonna avenge every single living thing you murdered! And I'm going to achieve all that by kicking you butt!"
"Oh really?" Nefarius coudln't help but smirk.
The Supervillain snapped his hand. It didn't take for several water whips to fly at him from different directions. The speed they came were so fast that they surprised the people watching. However, what was more amazing was how Ben maneuvered around them with a blinding speed. In a matter of a minute, he was already in front of Nefarius.
"B-But...Impossible!" Nefarius said shockingly.
Ben didn't seem bothered. The moment Nefarius spoke, Ben charged up his fist with an unknown green energy. His face was dead serious, with a scowl that could kill.
"Iron Fist..." Ben said. "...of the Supreme Dragon!"
Upon speaking, Ben threw that ultimate punch right at Nefarius's face. The impact of it was so powerful that it sent a sonic wave that travelled through the skies, and several miles away. The airship shook violently, but luckily didn't fall.
Nefarius receieved the worse of the hit, as he was sent flying right through the air. He suddenly broke through an invisible barrier and was gone. Everyone watching were really surprised and shock at what just happened.
"Di-Did Ben just do that?" Drew Saturday shuttered a bit.
"Yeah, I did."
For a second, everyone were taken aback from the sudden voice. However, it didn't take long for the owner to reveal himself. The young hero that just beat Nefarius, appeared right in front of everyone with a big smirk on his face. The young teen had his arms crossed over his chest, as he looked down on everyone. Once his eyes lay on his family, he flew over to them and hugged his dad.
Ben's dad was a bit caught off guard, but he didn't ignore his son. He hugged his son tightly, along with his wife, niece and dad. All of them shared a moment until they separated. It was at that precise time that Gwen punched her cousin at the shoulder. The teen failed to notice it, but somehow he still turned to his cousin.
"Hey, Gwen, I'm guessing you're mad at me huh?"
"Mad!? More like worried, Ben!" The red haired said angrily. "Grandpa, your parents and I have been looking for you ever since you ran off! The last I saw you was in some sewer, looking depressed! Now you're involved with some mega supervillain!"
"Um…yeah…sorry about that." Ben frowned, as he looked away.
Gwen's eyes began to tear up in tears. The rest of the family just watched as she hugged her cousin in a slightly tight embrace. The young hero was surprise at first; his cousin has never shown this much affection this much. However, rather than ignore it, Ben hugged her back.
Both cousins stayed like that for a moment, before letting go. Gwen cleaned the tears off and smiled.
"You're still a doofus, you know that?"
"And you're still the same old dweeb I know and…bicker." Ben chuckled.
"Wow, you know what bicker means. Have you actually been learning, Ben?"
"Hey!"
The fun juvenile moment was ruined right away. Zak interrupted them.
"Guys, I get the whole family thing, but we're still confuse about that monster space thing that almost killed us."
The two siblings turned from each other. Ben was the first to speak, "His name is Nefarius. We've had a few battles through the multi-verse, with me kicking his butt of course…well sometimes anyway."
"Multiverse?" Zak asked, confused.
"Yes, Zak." Drew answered, "The Multiverse is a theory –well reality now I guess- that states they are other worlds with different possibilities of many different universes."
"Okaaayyy, and you went through these universes, how?" Zak asked Ben.
Ben seemed so uneasy. It brought back an old memory, but he knew he had to explain. His family was there, and deserved an explanation.
"When I ran away I considered heading back home when suddenly a dumb portal appeared and got me. From there I got involved with that Nefarius guy in a world of ghosts, another world with other superheroes, another with Ninja Turtles – I know it's crazy – and a world of more heroes."
"Wow…you went through a lot, Ben." Carl (Ben's dad) said in a sad tone. He then smiled a bit, "At least you're back home again and don't have to go through any of that again."
"Oh…um…" Ben said hesitantly.
Gwen knew right away about her cousin. In fact everyone knew. It was hard for any of them to say, but Sandra said it.
"You're not staying…are you, Ben?" The young blond frowned sadly.
"Yeah…" Ben replied with a nod. "I took Nefarius out of our universe, so you guys won't get caught up in the battle. He'll cause more harm and danger to other universes (and ours) if I don't go back….well that's what I and the two voices in my head told me."
"Voices?" Gwen asked, confused.
Ben sighed. "Look into my eyes and tell me what you see."
Gwen was confused, but did it anyway. Once she did, she jumped back and was almost shaken.
"What the heck is that, Ben!?"
"Well that's Serena and Bellicus. The other guy is…the real me. I'm actually using an alien I call Alien X. Nefarius likely told you that he killed me. But I survived by turning into this alien, except that it looks a lot different than now. Anyway, long story short, this alien grants a lot of stuff, and I had it turn me to something I call Ultimate Ben."
"Wow! That's so cool!" Zak exclaimed.
"Yeah, so you get why I have to go now, right?"
Everyone was silent from that moment. The Tennysons exchanged different looks, like they were actually deciding if Ben should go. They knew they can't stop him, but knowing the boy very well, it would be impossible to tell him no.
Finally, it was Grandpa Max that broke the silence. He got on one knew and looked into his grandson's eyes. He could see the place Gwen saw, but wasn't so freaked out about it.
"Ben, we understand now. Honestly, we didn't think you would get this far to be a hero. Saving the Multiverse is something large to do, so I suspect you weren't alone in it, and I have faith you won't be."
"Grandpa's right." Gwen added. "Even though we can't go with you, we'll always be there in heart."
"I'm with them." Sandra said, as she pet her son's hair. "Just be careful out there. I'll have my favorite cooking waiting for you."
Ben chuckled a bit. He was really glad that his family was accepting it. Now was his dad's turn.
"Ben…honestly I don't think you should go. That guy almost killed you."
Ben almost felt shaken. He wouldn't feel right if his dad was against him leaving. However, the man continued.
"But I know how important this is to you. So please be careful and come back home. If you encounter any other heroes out there, be sure to let them help you, okay? A team is much stronger than a single force alone."
"Okay." Ben smiled and nodded. Then he looked at everyone. "Thanks for accepting this everyone. I failed a few friends of mine, but I won't fail you. I promise on my very last breath that Nefarius is going down."
Everyone mentally agreed on that, along with a visible nod. They had a family hug, before stepping back and allowing Ben to stand. The young teen then became intangible and looked at Zak.
"Watch over my cousin for me. But don't get any ideas. She's in love with Kevin."
"What!?" Zak and Gwen blushed.
Ben laughed as he formed a ghostly tail and began to fly up. Gwen shouted his name angrily, but the teen didn't mind.
"I love you all! I'll be back!"
With that said, Ben flew off as fast as he could to the crack in the dimensional barrier. He flew right in, with a determined voice.
"I'm coming for you, Nefarius. Prepare to pay for everything you have done!"
The crack immediately fixed itself, with Ben heading to yet another dimension. The rest of his family – and the Saturdays - looked at the screen displaying where the crack once was originally.
Gwen sighed and smiled. "You better get back, doofus."
