I'm sorry about the next few chapters-i know nothing about the topic used

Kacey's pov

It was the end of the day and i was walking out to meet Tom when Dynasty came running over to talk to me:

"Hey Dyn."

"Hay Kacey, listen, i heard that Barry got arrested is that true?"

"Yeah i'm sorry i asked him not to but he said he had to call the police!"

"It's alright, he deserved it for doin' all that to you!"

"Dyn, are you sayin' you're happy our brother got arrested?"

"No of course not! I'm just sayin' he went too far so he deserves it!"

"How can you even be slightly glad he's gone? We've lost our dad and our brother now! I didn't want him arrested, i just wanted him kept away from me!"

"I know but at least now he can't get anywhere near you!"

"Yeah but he has to rot in a cell just like dad now!"

"Best place for him if you ask me!"

"DYNASTY! I can't believe you're glad he's in jail!"

"No Kace..."

"I've gotta go!"

I walked out annoyed and went over to the car where Tom was waiting:

"You okay?"

I nodded

"Let's go then."

We got to Tom's house and went in, i went straight out the back to play with my ball.

Tom's pov

Kacey had gone out in the garden to play footie so i sat down, put the TV on and had a think about what to do next. It would involve Kacey anyway so best thing i decided was to talk to her about what to do. Maybe during dinner would be best and after what she'd been through i thought i'd treat her:

"Kacey, do you fancy a takeaway for dinner?"

"Okay."

"Which kind do you want?"

"Erm how about pizza?"

"Sure, i'l go under it."

Dinner didn't take long to come then Kacey joined me at the table for pizza:

"Kacey, have you thought about what you're gonna do now Barry can't hurt you?"

"No i haven't!"

"Well it's great having you here, you're a good kid but i can't just decide to let my pupils move in with me so we need to work out the options!"

"I can't go home!"

"What would the danger be there with no Barry?"

"My mum was helping him and i kinda had an argument with Dyn at school!"

"So do you think your mum would continue the treatment?"

"I dunno!"

"Ok, well what were you arguing about with Dynasty?"

"She's glad Barry and my dad are both now rotting in jail!"

"Right, do you think maybe she was trying to look at it from your point of view? To keep you safe?"

"I guess yeah but i can't go home with my mum there!"

"That's fine i understand that! What about the school house?"

She thought for a minute then:

"But Harley lives there, i can't live with my best mate!"

"It's not the best of solutions i know but i don't what what i can do!"

Kacey's pov

After dinner i went to get changed into my jammies and when i got back downstairs Tom was on the phone so i just sat down to watch the TV until he hung up and joined me:

"Kacey, that was a social worker, she's coming to talk to you tomorrow!"

"Alright."

We watched TV for a while then went to bed. When i woke up in the morning Tom wasn't up yet so i got dressed and went outside to have a kick about, it was saturday so no school. Tom eventually got up and made something for us to eat then the door went. It was the social worker so Tom let her in:

"Hi Kacey i'm your social worker Laura Finchly!"

"Hi."

Tom left the room to give us piece to talk:

"How are you Kacey?"

"I'm alright!"

"Good, we need to discuss your living arrangements!"

"Right..."

"Well i can't guarantee your safety if you go home so i think we can say that's not happening!"

"Good i can't go back there, my mum'll get me!"

"I know, it's ok we will agree on something for you, you can't just move in with your teacher! We want to try avoiding putting you into care!"

"I'm not going into care, no way!"

"Ok, we will try avoiding that of course so how about the school house next to your school?"

"I'll only go there if there's absolutally nowhere else possible cause it's not right to live with my school mates!"

"Try not to be too picky here ok, are you happy here with Mr Clarkson just now?"

"I feel safe!"

"How do you feel safe here?"

"Tom...Mr Clarkson actually gets me, he knows i'm not looking for attention or just being a bratty kid in a phase! He got me away from Barry!"

"Sorry Kacey but temporary care is one thing, he won't want a school kid to stay with him much longer so it looks like care is your best option!"

I panicked at this point and wanted her gone so i wanted Tom:

"TOM!"

He came in:

"What's up are you ok?"

"She wants to put me into care!"

"Oh come on you can't do that to her! Hasn't she been through enough?"

"I don't want her to go into care but it's the best option!"

"Kacey go upstairs or outside for a bit please!"

I left the room and went into the garden, i didn't feel much like playing so i just sat down on a chair by the door. It must have been roughly half an hour at least that i'd been out there before Tomk came out and sat in another chair next to me:

"Please don't let her put me into care Tom!"

"Don't worry that's not going to happen! I won't allow it!"

"So where am i gonna go then?"

"That's not entirely up to me to decide, you need to be happy where you live too, but we talked and she had the wrong idea about our situation!"

"What do you mean?"

"She thought i only took you in because it's my job to help pupils but i don't get paid for having you here so that can't be true!"

"I guess, sorry if you don't want me here, I just feel safe!"

"Oi you're not bothering me being here, in fact you're good company so there is an option for you but only if you want it!"

"What is it?"

"I could adopt you if you like, how does that sound?"

I looked up and smiled a little.

"Really? You would be willing to do that?"

"Yeah i am, it's a big decision but i don't ser any other option for you and i'm sure Josh would like a little brother!"

"Then yeah i'm up for it! But doesn't that take a while? Where will i be until it's sorted?"

"You can still stay here until it's sorted!"

I smiled and stood up to get my ball:

"You fancy a game?"

He got up and we had a game of footie!
