Kacey's pov

At school the next day i didn't speak to Dynasty all day because I knew i would tell her about my visit and she would be mad! At the end of the day i hurried off with Tom into the car and we headed to the prison. He had told Josh to stay at home:

"You sure you want to do this?"

"No! But i need to know!"

"How you feeling about seeing Barry?"

"Scared!"

"He can't hurt you here it'll be ok!"

We got to the prison and went in, we had to go through security checks in case we had sneaked anything in then we sat down at a table. I was getting a little shaky as i was terrified of being with Barry again but Tom kept reassuring me. A few minutes later he came out and came over to the table, i jumped up and took a few steps back so Tom had to calm me down:

"Tom, i can't! I just can't!"

"Hey you don't have to do this if you don't want to but if you do i'm here for you! He isn't laying a finger on you!"

I had started crying a little in panic so i wiped the tears with my sleeve and Tom put his hand on my shoulder and we sat back down!

Barry's pov

I hadn't been inside that long but it had been enough time to think about what i'd done to Kacey so i didn't expect her to want to visit me, no wonder she was terrified when i walked over! It was an over reaction to a phase:

"Hey."

"Erm...hi."

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah!"

"Good, so you still stayin' with him then?"

"Yeah!"

Tom spoke up:

"Don't you have something you wanna ask him?"

"What is it Kace?"

She looked at Tom for a few seconds then asked me:

"Well first...my name's Robbie now!"

"You've changed your name?!"

"Yeah, i'm a boy so i need a boy's name!"

"I can't believe after all that you still won't stop that phase!"

"It's not a phase! Why did you want to hurt me rather than accept me?"

"Whatever! It's embarrassing having my little sister calling herself a boy! It was bad enough when Rhiannon called you my brother on our first day at Waterloo road, you shouldn't encourage that!"

She was tearing up again:

"How's the cut?"

"Fine now, Tom sorted it!"

"That's good, so when do you go back to mum?"

"I don't! I live with Tom! He's my new dad!"

"What?!"

"He's adopting me!"

"I don't think dad would be happy to hear you're calling teachers your dad!"

"Well he's a better dad to me than our ever was! He looks after me, he doesn't harm me! And he accepts me!"

"Just cause he feels bad for you doesn't mean he believes your phase is real Kacey!"

"My name is Robbie! Shows how much you know, he's putting me in touch with a doctor to get fixed!"

"You're getting the change?!"

"Yeah, i am!"

"And the doctors are letting you?"

"Probably!"

"Once they realise you don't mean it they wont let you!"

"Why can't you just accept me like Dyn and Josh do?"

"Josh?"

"My new brother!"

"He must be an idiot if he accepts you!"

Tom was getting mad:

"Well he knows what it's like not to be accepted like he wasn't when he came out gay!"

"Well that explains it then, he wants you to be a boy cause he fancies you!"

"Barry, don't you dare talk about my kids like that!"

"Sorry, i just don't appreciate being replaced as her brother!"

"No one is replacing you, Josh is just another brother for Robbie to have that's all!"

"Oh, ok sir!"

We were told time was up and i went to hug Kacey goodbye but she reached out to Tom instead for help:

"Bye Kace, please come visit again yeah!"
